This donut shop has the BEST donuts in California hands down. This is not an exaggeration. If you like donuts, and you pass through Woodland without getting one of their maple bars or rainbow sprinkle donuts, youve missed out. Tip them well, Id like them to remain in business forever!

Donuts are just ok, chocolate croissant is terrible, not a great selection. Not great pricing either. Hard to believe this is the same place thats getting such great reviews from other people. Theres another donut place a few blocks away thats much better and has a lot more variety.

Best donuts in yolo county for sure. Made fresh every day they went sell day old donuts like other places. Classic shop and the dough is overall tastier than other places. I frequent other donut shops whenever I get the chance and D-Star has a unique just baked taste.

Really basic and nice old fashioned style donut shop like I remember growing up with. Dont expect anything fancy here but good tasting basic donuts like glazed, sugar, and cake donuts. Good coffee too.

Makes this place more inviting and kind of makes you take a step back in time with their grumpy old men comments and talks about the weather. 🙊🙊

I often visit the Donut Star early in the a.m. to get the best fresh still hot Donuts that melt in your mouth ..the family establishment is clean the staff are courteous and very nice men that are down to earth solid merchants and in fact ..Im here now as I post this rating. This is my spot. Love it.

Really delicious donuts. Went here for national donut day and it was very crowded. Small space with a line out the door. Not sure what its like on normal mornings, but the service is really quick!

Worst place to get doughnuts. Showed up at 9 am and they had no doughnuts left. Ask manger when they would have more and he told me they were not making any more. Ask why and he said we dont make them here we make all of them at home and when we run out thats it. Also told me I should have been there earlier than 9 am. This is the worst place to get doughnuts especially if they are making them at home and not following health codes
