This is probably the best Dairy Queen in the area, the owner was smiling and is very kind and has a big heart. There was not a big line during the visit, our cones were well covered- it felt very hygienic and was easier to transport, very clean inside the store. Businesses done right with a human factor and he truly loves his work. There is a freezer on the left hand side coming in- containing take-a-ways like ice cream cakes, and various Dairy Queen ice creams in small boxes. It made sense to try a few for later, as it’s not always easy to make it to the store. (Also McDonald’s machines keep breaking- this vanilla is waaay better!) Cherry is my favorite🍒 Buy and shop local 👍!

Store owner Peter has been helpful on more than one occasion and he is super patient with my last minute plans! I wanted a cake with writting he went as far as decorating a blank cake for me so it was personalized!! I highly recommend getting your ice cream cake here! Its definitely a family favorite.

The best dairy queen Ive ever been to. The owner is very nice, respectful, and polite. He gives what you pay for and doesnt skimp like the other stores do. They also have the best ice cream cakes! Gave me a free sunday for my b-day, and like talking to customers. Wonderful experience and makes the place a great place to visit.

I came in a few weeks ago. I had the best experience ive ever had at a dairy queen. The owner was extremely nice. I had came on the wrong day thinking they were open, but they werent. The owner not only made my order, but he comped it too. Best dq out there.

Oh I love this place, its just ice cream no hot foods but the guy who owns the place is fantastic. Hes funny, nice, personable and you dont get dinked out of product either its a great location

If it wasnt for Peter this location would have lost me as a customer (past experiences) but he has seriously renewed my faith in customer service! Such an amazing experience each and every time my daughter and I visit! He is such a lively, sweet, and down to Earth individual. Its not just the good ice cream that keeps us coming back, its the fun encounter with the nice gentleman at the register that keeps us intrigued! Way to go DQ for managing to recruit such an amazing employee!

Best ice cream spot since I was a kid!

After getting dipped cones for my kids and an item for me, I requested the owner (I think he is the owner of that store) to give me two extra cups for kids so they dont drop their ice cream. That guy told me, it will cost me $1 for a cup. WOW ARE YOU SERIOUS! Honestly, worst server Ive ever got.After a few days, I call them to find the price for a cake and ice cream candy. Same guy (owner) picked the phone and great me well but when I started asking for price, he hangup saying that he is busy with in-store customers. Oh my GOD! NO KIDDING!If I have the option to select negative review then I would give that to this store. I will NEVER EVER get at this place... I can drive to any distance for better service and place who great and treat people nicely.WATCH FOR IT!

We called them before to see if they were open and if they had cakes; they were super friendly and helpful! When we went to the store in person, it was a super easy experience to buy a cake, and the owner, Peter, was incredibly helpful. If my family goes to a Dairy Queen in the future, we will definitely come back to this location!

Owner is extremely rude. My daughter and i was greeted with, Im sorry were closed. I own this store and Im tired. Than the owner just turned his back on us. This was on a Thursday night @ 9pm, when the door says open till 9:30pm. I get it, its your place and you can do what you want. But it is no way to treat a customer.

My favorite treat place. Cheat day go to place. Reasonable prices good selection new offerings seasonal there is something for everyone. Sugar free dilly bars on the refrigerate are for purchase a great choice. Only small food menu selection. They also sell special occasions ice cream cakes.

This review is based on customer service (lack there of), not on the product, the ice cream is quite good.Ordered a large and medium blizzard with two dipped cones to go and the total was about $16. Got a cup holder to leave with and I put the dipped cones in some flimsy plastic cups that I was given standing up (tried to preserve the chocolate dip). Got outside and big gust of wind sent everything toppling to the ground. Managed to save the blizzards but the cones were toast. My 4 year old starts bawling so I go back in hopes that they would give me replacements cause accidents happen. Was told by the manager that he couldn’t do anything and I would have to buy them again. $4.72 later, I asked for sturdier cups but that too was denied. Put the cones in with the chocolate dip down and went home (4 year old was happy).I will never return to this Dairy Queen location, luckily there are other locations nearby.

I’ve been there a handful of times. Ice cream is always great, BUT the customer service is absolutely terrible. I don’t get greeted, whoever is at the register always seems to have an attitude, and no one is friendly.

Stopped by today with my wife just happened to be in the area. And the employee today was amazing he was by himself had a huge rush and handled great. I can honestly say I would have lost it and walked out. Give that man a raise he deserves it.

I give this place five stars because the food is always done perfectly and the place is kept immaculate though it appears that its just one guy who always runs the place. Everybody loves ice cream dont they?...I do! Especially in Winter! Owner(s) open all winter at this location. Friendly and caring of producing his products suited to ones taste and request so we enjoy stopping by to say hi and get an ice cream cone or bizzard at this location. The ice cream cakes and pies looked delious and I would like to try even if I am addicted to a cone (looks like snow and sometimes snow looks like ice cream) yum! I think it has less fat calories (I have to watch....) but oh what fun! Yum!!!🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦

Ever since the new owner took over, the level of service his has tanked. He fired most (if not all) of his staff and every time I go there the wait is ridiculous. It shouldnt take 10 minutes to get a blizzard when I walk in and theres no other customers in the restaurant.

This should be zero starts. Our grandaughters first job at 14 and he calls customers swear words. He was mean to her, she had to quit, bad experience for her first job. Now he wont pay her for her hours worked after a month. Please do not support this business. There is a dairy Queen close by in Downers Grove on 63rd street

I visit this 75th St. DQ location (too) frequently. The new owner is great; hes very friendly and he also takes good care of his exceptional crew! (BTW, IMO, he makes the best Hot Fudge Malt in the entire Mid-West.) The place is ALWAYS clean and it has been outfitted with new equipment.

The whole place smelled of urine horribly. The place was not very clean. I told the lady that works there that the place smelled of urine and she laughed. She thought I was kidding. When I told her I was not and this was unacceptable, she just said she will mop the floor. Im not sure if thats what was needed or someone was peeing all over the place. DISGUSTING!!! I really hope someone from health department checks on this.

The man that was working on Saturday afternoon was very rude. A older gentleman was in there with 5 or 6 very well behaved grandchildren. A small little boy dropped his spoon and the siblings very politely asked for a new spoon. The worker, very rudely, told the kids no. The older sister and Grandpa thought they misunderstood and asked again. He huffed and puffed and after making another order he held up a spoon and kept making comments about how expensive it was. Why work in an Icecream shop if you dont like kids/families? We couldt believe his behavior, we apologized to the Grandpa and walked out and went to a different Dairy Queen.

New ownership/management trying to make things better.

Owner was terribly rude and offensive. Told us he was out of one of the smoothies and he couldn’t have it himself because it had too much sugar. After feeling bad about what I was ordering he wouldn’t break $100 and was put off by my husband trying to pay with the bill. Had a chip on his shoulder and kept going on about how we should call corporate and tell them his name. Felt very uncomfortable. We won’t be back.

I,went in there twice and there is a new owner now. The first time I asked for chocolate icecream with recesses in in. The machine exploded. He kept making up all these excuses why everything in the place wasnt working. Prior to that he kept forgetting what I asked for. That was irritating. I finally said to him after waiting 10 mins I said just give me the vanilla ice cream its fine. I had to go. The second time I just went in for a drink. I asked for root beer. The root beer machine was broken. I then said thats fine give me sprite. Im never going in there again. When the Chinese lady owned it it was so much better and she made me happy everytime. This guy has no business owning this DQ.
