Great selection! Owners and all employees are super friendly and helpful. Will answer any questions or concerns you have. Did I mention they carry all LIVE needs/stages for your reptile family member!! They are also military/veteran friendly. Great customer service, great interactions, and you can interact with all the animals there as well! 😁 If there’s a wait, they make sure to acknowledge you, and will treat you with the same respect. Given the current times great customer service rarely exceeds expectations. This place is the exception! I don’t mind the 30+ min drive, because I know I will be taking care of every time!

I wish I could give you 10 stars. This place is phenomenal. From the moment I called to the moment I left. Gave this business a call looking for some bunnies or guineas for my little one. Remy, I hope I spelled it correctly, answered the phone. I could tell it was busy but she literally took a good ten minutes answering all my questions. There were some baby bunnies on hold, she took the time to call the people who wanted them and then called me back to let me know they were for sale again. Her customer service is exceptional.Upon arrival....your store, the coolest! We were in awe. From pulling in to the woman with birds on her shoulder in the parking lot to being greeted by your employees and lovely macaws. The selection is immaculate. Birds, bunnies, guineas, the tortoises!!! All the reptiles really. Just wonderful.We requested Remy, she showed us some bunnies, guineas, anything we asked to see.Long story short, she helped us pick out our new babies. She was so patient with us. She showed us cage options. Noticing there were no girly colors she went and personally found a purple one for my little girl. Put it all together, set it up fully for us, down to the cute little bed. Her knowledge and information she had to share was thorough. Highly recommended! I cant thank her enough. She spent a good 2 hours with us not even knowing if were were buying anything. We will be forever customers, what a great first impression. I have a 30 year old Yellow Nape Amazon that I raised from a baby. First time at Visiting today and having Bufords wings clipped, nails clipped. The treatment I received was Awesome. Everyone so kind, and knowledgeable about parrots. So wonderful to Buford even though he can be very aggressive. Purchased seed without sunflower seed & this store has so many different toys, beautiful cages and birds. Thank you so much, really enjoyed myself today.

Okay, I have been looking for a pet shop like the one I had back in Texas. As soon as I walked in the store, I was overwhelmed with all the stuff they had! And the smell, well lets just say, thats how you know its a REAL pet store. I was greeted with a bird. Signs said we could pet gently but not to pick up. Well, this baby bird just hopped right on me, up to my shoulder. I feel in love! The workers there were so sweet and didnt mind her staying there a while. Made my heart warm. I came looking for live feeders for my snakes. And they have everything I was looking for. I have found my forever pet store! Thank you for your kindness. I will be returning probably weekly.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I buy seed and board my birds. My birds are happy there. The staff connects very well with my 2 parrots. They cut My parrots wings and nails. Very affordable. We love the owners. They are real pet lovers

Ive only been once and they have great service! The staff was super sweet and helpful. They are well educated on their animals as well, I was looking to buy a bird and they helped direct me to a bird that could be right for me. I had a great time and it was very neat to see their variety of animals.

Whenever you get a bunny they think that they can just go in a tiny cage and be fine along with other small animals did you know that you should aim for a minimum of 24 inches by 12 inches, and at least 12 inches tall and for a bunny is an expen so knowing that they do not provide their animals with peek standers is terrible!!!!! provide better info on your animals care and tell people people true info

Amazing customer service the woman who works there is so nice and very helpful showed us around the shop and helped me pick my new Bird which I named Cody, prices are very affordable we got a dusty-headed Conure for only $500 and he was a baby I say that is a good deal all of their birds seem to be in good shape and they even had some rescue birds they get all their babies from breeders (except some of the rescues because I’m sure they probably don’t know where they came from) and raise them up to be sold I can tell they wanted to make sure that it went to a good home because they were showing us what we needed for the bird and made sure that we had all the right stuff also when you walk into the store there different types of baby birds to look at and some of them you can even interact with overall I rate this place could be a perfect pet shop and it was worth the 3 Hour Drive

Great old school pet store, high prices but they have what u need,mice, worms etc ..Unlike the big box stores!! Cool overall experience.

I walked in here to get a few snake things but ended up walking out after looking around for a few minutes. This place is sad.! No hides for the snakes, baby ball pythons housed together with no hides, a huge boa stuffed into a little glass aquarium with not even a water bowl. So sad.! Not sure how they are still open. I have reported them and hopefully someone goes out there soon to investigate.

I love this place! I go here to get my birds’ wings clipped and nails trimmed etc. and to buy their food/treats/toys. The staff is always so great! I’m so lucky that I live so close that I can regularly buy supplies here, and can visit with all the animals which always makes me happy. We nicknamed it “The Dinosaur Store” because of the T-Rex outside, and always look forward to visiting the The Dinosaur Store, which we are actually planning on doing today to get one of our bird’s wings trimmed again. The staff at animal Atlanta go above and beyond for their clients. Their feeder animals are screened to make sure they will not bring harm to your animal. They have very affordable prices. Animal Atlanta is by far my favorite exotic pet store to go to for any of my Royale pythons needs!

I have followed Animal Atlanta to their current location for decades. I always just visited and never bought a bird but they never minded allowing me to spend time teaching me about the birds or allowing me to hold them. I have always been made to feel at home. They treat all of their animals as if they are their children and I have personally witnessed the time and energy the owners of the store put into their babies. After decades of dreaming to get an Umbrella Cockatoo I recently purchased one from Animal Atlanta . It is so clear how much love and time they put into their birds because I have the sweetest, funniest, healthy Umbrella Cockatoo! That I just adore ! I love John and Michelle n their entire staff.

Treatment of hamsters checks every negative box you can think of. Syrians housed together (the ultimate DONT DO item), no wheels for them to exercise on, no hides so they are all out in the open (even big-box stores give them hides...), pine bedding which is dangerous for them, and it was really hot in the room they are kept in. One of the females clamored to get out when she saw me as to say please, for the love of God save me. I felt so bad. With hamsters being nocturnal and awake at night, what are they doing? Please, at the very least, add a wheel to each enclosure.Customer service was friendly which is great but the place definitely to up its standards.

We have brought our Goffins Cockatoo to Animal Atlanta for grooming & boarding for over 25 years. Godfrey loves the staff . They are very attentive to the pets and knowledgeable. I would recommend Animal Atlanta to anyone looking for someone to care for their pet. If you have only ever been to a large corporate pet store, dont expect that here. This is a small family business. Their knowledge and quality care of the animals is top notch!

Animal Atlanta is a very good place to buy a bird or any pet! The staff are so nice, and the baby birds that they have are adorable. The prices are very very reasonable. My cockatiel and lovebird that we got from Animal Atlanta refuse to eat any other food than the food that we bought from there.

The people are great, the support they give is great, weve had multiple pets from this store and even the ones we got elsewhere we know we can get good advice from them on. Not to mention they have a great selection of exotics.

We have been customers here for about 3 years, we purchased our sweet Jenday Conure and crazy bunny from here! The owner is extremely knowledgeable about the trade and I call them with any concerns to my babies. The only reason I give 4 stars is because, whenever I enter the store I am followed by an employee for some reason wherever I go. Either it may be due to me having two children under 5 walking freely with me or because of my ridiculous good looks. Who knows. Either way I intend on continuing my dedication to the store!

Most of the enclosures were too small for the animals living in them and it was overcrowded for them, I also noticed the birds were getting an all seed diet, which can cause lots of health problems. The customer service were nice enough though, which is why I give this place 2 stars.

The owners were both very sweet and helpful. It was very obvious while walking around that all of the animals are loved on, taken care of well, and happy!! They have a lot of different types of animals, they even have a super friendly iguana! Absolutely recommend coming here for any products needed or a new addition to your family. Great shop!

The staff here is so amazing. The lady that works there (I feel so so bad I cant remember her name!) Was kind enough to look at my little baby green cheek conure when she was not feeling well and told me to bring her over when I called looking for help. (a vet could not see her until a few days!) She saved me a vet visit and told me what was going on. And my little bird just loved her! These people are kind and so knowledgeable with birds. The shop has such a nice energy too. I will always go here for food, toys and any advice to help keep my conure happy and healthy! Thank you so much guys!

They are open! Animal Atlanta is offering curbside service if you do not wish to go inside during these troubling times. I have been a regular for several years and I dont know what I would do if they closed down. They have all your pets needs and the prices arent that bad either. The staff is full of wonderful information and always friendly!

This place is awesome!!! They were crowed and first I was very nervous because Im a introvert and dont do good with people or crowds. While waiting to speak with the bird expert about some questions I had in regards to the bird I was about to purchase one of the employees helping another customer brought out a snake. OMG my skin craws when I see a snake and the employees saw that when they brought it out (someone was buying it). Everyone got a good laugh about it including me. Since I have 4 boys and made a comment that its bad my boys dont get to see that kind of stuff because of me one of the employees took them to the reptile section for me so they could see all the things I had no interested in seeing. The fact that they did this for me warmed my heart. Not once while there did I feel overwhelmed or anxious and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!!!

Workers are very nice and helpful. Ive gone there for a few years now, I love it. I was just there yesterday and they not only let us hold the animals (like they always do, because they are amazing) but they let me know everything about the animal I have and I cant thank them enough.

Good selection of reptiles, birds and set ups but the majority of the staff is unwelcoming, rude and couldnt care less about their bad attitudes. Unfortunately they have great prices on feeders and its the closest to me or I would go elsewhere.

Amazing place! Just stopped in and left with a baby Jenday conure. The ladies that helped us were so great and the prices were extremely reasonable. I will definately be making the 2hr trip from our home in Blue Ridge, back to Animal Atlanta, for grooming of both our conures. Thanks guys! 🦜 💘

Strange smells and slight messes are expected in a pet store, but upon entrance there is simply gross disarray. While the staff is friendly, it doesnt make up for the way the animals are treated. I was an interested customer, hoping to purchase a bird. Anyone knowing how to take care of birds knows you have your first aid powder, that stops bleeding in case you cut the nails too short. However this was used to stop every nails bleeding as the owner cut each nail, knowingly too short. The animal was treated roughly and unfairly. I urge you to buy animals here only to save them from mishandling, but encourage you to look elsewhere for your animal needs.

I cant believe Ive never heard of this place until today! What a knowledgeable, friendly staff; amazing owners and fantastic variety of pets! I went to two big pet stores earlier today and no one greated me or asked if I needed any help. The minute I walked into Animal Atlanta I was welcomed by a smiling young lady who walked the entire store with me helping me acquaint myself with everything! This is my new favorite place to shop!!!

We purchased a leopard gecko for our sons 9th birthday this week. Incredibly impressed with the help and advice that we received from almost all of the staff members there. We had no clue what we needed to do and we left full of knowledge. They also offered free check-ups for our newest family member. Decent and competitive prices, an incredibly fun atmosphere. My husband went to take are now late Dog to the vet yesterday and he got lost because his phone went dead so he pulled into Animal Atlanta and walked inside to two of the most amazing People he had ever met he asked if they new where this vet was and without hesitation these two people jump into action for him and are dog he told them about are dogs issue and they rolled out the red carpet are dog did not make it but the point Im trying to make not knowing a thing or for asking for a thing they put there lives onhold for him And are beloved family member ROCKY I personally wish there was a million of these Man and Women I dont no there names but Im pretty sure they own ANIMAL ATLANTA WITH THE BIG T-REX IN FRONT I would just like to thank you guys for giving Richie & Rocky your time we need more places like this if you have not been there please go if not to shop then go meet to of the nicest care loving people that not only care about Animal they care about you THANKS YOU GUYS RIP ROCKO POCO TOCO WE LOVE AND WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU

Fun to check out all the critters.

Birds are piled together in overcrowded cages and some even in fish tanks (what type of facility even houses birds in fish tanks???). They all look miserable, sitting on top of each other with barely any room to stretch. They housed birds of different species together as well (lovebirds, conures, and cockatiels all trapped in a small fish tank with a mesh lid on top), which, if you know anything about bird keeping, you should NEVER house birds of different species together, especially in such a cramped space. All I can say is, if you care about the quality of life of your pets, do not buy from this store.

Reading the negative comments that have been said in the review recently reported. I was there and what all was said was not true. She was upset that they were advised to not make the sugar gliders mad or upset them. The reptiles do not have scale rot or mites. As they didnt take out any of the reptiles or ask to see them. Any who know reptiles knows what that stuff actually looks like. Im sorry she didnt feel welcomed but to be honest the store is one of the best and at least they have staff that actually knows what they are talking about.Edit- I grew up with sugar gliders for most of my life before they became a big thing to own.Yes they can eat oranges and other fruits and vegetables. They should not have too much is the key term. They also should be paired not three in one cage so that the ones that bonded dont beat up the third wheel.

It felt so nice to visit an actual pet shop! They have huge turtles and parrots that my kids love. Its like a mini trip to the Zoo. Im so grateful for their low cost boarding. They looked after my dog while I made an emergency trip home.
