I had the greatest experience today shopping for a homecoming dress. i worked with hannah and she was absolutely amazing. she really helped me. i found an amazing dress. she made my first ever dress shopping experience so comfortable and lovely. i loved all the dresses they had. i really recommend going their for bridal dresses, prom dresses, homecoming dresses, or any formal event dresses.
I stopped in without an appointment and was given immediate personal attention by Kim. Having waited until the last moment to find a mother-of the-bride dress, I thought my choices would be very limited. I was pleasantly surprised by the inventory of available dresses. Kim made me feel very comfortable and gave thoughtful feedback to help me choose the perfect dress. I highly recommend Carbonneau Bridal for their service, attention to detail, and beautiful dresses.
This place is fabulous, Megan, Melissa, Danielle, and the other ladies at the store made my experience easy and fun. I get easily overwhelmed. Megan was sweet, police, shared her point of view, and guided me all the way, it was easy to choose my wedding dress at a really good price, as well as my accessories. If you feel easily overwhelmed like me, Megan and Melissa along with Danielle can make your experience fun, and easy. I loved that they listened to me, respected my budget and the idea of the dress I was looking for. I have had the pleasure of working with her twice looking for a wedding dress and she even came in on her day off to help me with bridesmaids dresses! I visited this shop in search of a mother of the groom dress. Hannah could immediately tell I was overwhelmed with the selection. She helped me pick out several to try on. I couldnt decide so she invited me to make an appointment for the next day. On her own time she picked out more dresses that were ready for me when I arrived. I found the perfect dress and also an outfit for the rehearsal dinner! Amazing customer service from Hannah. Im so glad I went there first!

Carbonneau Bridal & Formalwear and their sister business Mocine Salon & Spa are absolutely amazing. I found my gown in October 2016, and lost 30+ lbs, before my June 2017 wedding had my dress taken in 3+ sizes, their tailor, Bashar at the Perfect Fit in Worcester is so talented and made my dress fit like an absolute glove. Lynn and Rylee were so supportive and reassuring to me when I was so anxious that my dress wasnt going to fit. They both went above and beyond to make me happy and to make me look and feel perfect! Lynn did my makeup on my wedding day and it was unbelievably gorgeous. Lacie did my hair and it was better than I could have ever imagined it could be. You can tell that crews at both of these businesses truly care about what they do and want every bride to look and feel amazing on their special day!
I couldn’t have dreamed of a better experience shopping for a wedding dress than I had at Carbonneau’s. Danielle was phenomenal. She understood exactly what I was looking for, and had a fantastic selection within my price range. The third dress was the charm, especially with the belt she found to make it just perfect. Travelled 1/2 hour in order to find my dress for my sons wedding. We were early for our appointment, however Lynn took us early, and was so attentive to helping find THE dress. The selections that are available are exceptional and Lynn also made it easy when selecting accessories, and showed the patience when I was undecided at first. I’ve been here twice for prom dresses for my daughters, 2 years ago and today. I will not go anywhere else for that special dress. The owner and all the young ladies that work there are super helpful and want you to find the right dress. Today, Eleanora took care of my daughter. Had to be 25 dresses later she found the one. Wonderful place, wonderful staff and a wide range of prices to fit everyone’s budget.
Dresses for Mother of the Groom were lovely. Sales person very patient. I tried on 10 or more Mother of the Groom dresses between 3 and 8 hundred.Couldnt find the one. Did discover what I liked, what fits well for my shape.Staff were likeable, not pushy.

The selection is amazing for whatever your special event is They can dress you from head to toe and have you leaving there feeling amazing .I have had many experiences there and now my daughter is getting married and we have had excellent appointments there with the staff .

I went to the store with pictures of the style of wedding dress that I wanted. As I walked in I was greeted and a woman asked if she could help me.I expressed I was looking for a wedding dress and knew the style I wanted. She went to her manager and asked for help, the manager took one look at the phone and told me to come back in 20 minutes because the person who knows the dresses was “doing inventory”. If someone comes into your shop to possible purchase a wedding dress, you should be accommodating. Telling someone to go and buy a coffee and come back because the person who knows the dresses like the back of her hand is busy is not helpful. Then proceed to act as if I’m not standing there is incredibly rude.When women are looking for a wedding dress - any dress for that matter - you want to make them feel as welcomed as possible. Telling someone to leave the store and come back as if it’s no big deal is absurd. I will share this experience with my friends because any one who goes to try on a dress with an idea in mind should be accommodated and not treated as if they don’t matter.
While deciding where to shop for my daughter’s prom dress I checked out reviews of the various dress shops in Worcester. This establishment had a few negative reviews in which I spoke to my daughter about. We still went to check out the dresses with the views of others in mind.We had three different sales associates assist us and all were very professional, friendly and helpful. We had a great experience and my daughter was able to find the perfect dress.Moral of the story, do not rely on the views of others when deciding to write-off a business.
The girls that work here are anything but welcoming, if you’re not a pretty twig they make you feel like your shopping experience is not important to them. Also this place needs to be bigger i’ve never had more anxiety than i did walking through the tiny rows of dresses. Not happy
I came in today not thinking I would find what I was looking for, but boy was I wrong! My backyard wedding is in about a month and the dresses I had previously looked at were just alright, but today I felt special. The girls working were absolute sweethearts and put no pressure on me to have to find something, Lynn helped me feel comfortable and nailed exactly what I was looking for (despite me thinking I wanted a different certain type of dress). I highly, HIGHLY recommend coming here for any type of formal or bridal wear, you will not be disappointed I promise you that! Thank you again to Lynn for being absolutely amazing in finding me my perfect wedding dress !
I am very insulted by who I imagined was the owner.. when I walked in the girl was very nice and showed me some options.. then I went outside my “size” range just to look to see other styles and options I liked and before I could even look the lady said the “big sizes are over there” I was so insulted and uncomfortable.. yes I may not be tiny but you don’t need to point it out. the prices are outrageous and I will never go back
I visited 5 other bridal stores before Carbonneau’s and the experience here was unmatched. Not only do they have an amazing selection of bridal gowns, the staff is amazing. My consultant was professional, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. She made me feel so comfortable and really made the experience fun (instead of stressful like a few of the other places). Carbonneau’s really understood my style and the look I was going for. Before coming here I really thought I was never going to find my perfect dress, but with their help and a little customization from the designer, I found it! Said my yes to the dress at Carbonneau bridal and formal wear and couldn’t be happier!
I’m a bride to be and I am so impressed with the upstanding service as well as the AMAZING AMOUNT of dresses they have to offer. They have so many more dresses to choose from than most shops which really sets them apart ans was a huge reason why I went to Carbonneau’s. Also, the consultant I had was so knowledgeable and made the experience so fun. Lastly, I was welcomed by champagne and they had put my name on a sign that said “welcome, bride to be Rachel!” It really made me feel special!!! Thank you Carbonneau’s!!!
Pros: Great dress selection, beautiful gowns. If you buy on your first visit, you get a pass to the salon owned by the same owner.Cons: Alterations were a NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress this enough. First off, I had no idea they outsourced to Perfect Fit Tailoring. No wonder there was an error - I never got to meet the actual seamstress until after there was a problem. I ended up wearing the front panel of the sample dress sewn on to my real dress because the error was so great they had to replace the front and start all over. On my wedding day I took my patchwork dress out of the bag only to find a couple holes in the tooling. My bustle broke during my first dance, only 5 minutes into the ceremony and I had to hold it up the rest of the night. My cups also broke during dancing and fell out.Only redeeming factor: The gowns are gorgeous & after negotiating the shop was willing to refund me for the alterations (this was before I found the holes and before the bustle and cups broke - Id be interested to see their response).Buy your dress here, but get it altered somewhere - anywhere - else.

This place is horrible! When I ordered my dress they gave me the wrong size. It was 10 sizes too big. Also they never answer their phone or emails. I was from out of state and they were not accommodating. They are rude and the store was dirty. Dresses are dragging on the floor. No one should ever use this place. Save your self stress and never go there.
After calling the store and making a last minute appointment with a consultant, I found the wedding dress I had always imagined. I never thought it would be so easy but everyone at the store made it so simple and fun for my me and my mom. Now my mom has found a beautiful mother-of-the-bride dress and we still could not be happier with our visits. I would highly recommend visiting and working with any of the consultants!
Very lovely place! I had no trouble finding a dress and was helped out by the wonderful staff. They not only helped assist with trying on the dresses but they helped me decide on which one to get. The staff are very kind people and I highly recommend this place!

Went here this afternoon with my 8 year old to find a dress for her First Communion. The selection was beautiful and the women working were eager to help her feel special. Great experience.
LIFE SAVER - I walked into Carbonneau with zero expectation. I had visited several bridal salons in NYC where I live and decided to have one made custom by this company Anomalie. The dress I had made did not turn out as expected but with only three weeks to my wedding I had just accepted it and figured I would simply have to make it work. For fun my future mother and I popped in to try on dresses and the second dress I tried on we both feel in love with. Within a matter of minutes Lynn was on the phone calling local tailors to see if they could alter the dress in time and she found one, sent them photos of what needed to be done and we were on our way. I should also note that the dress was very fairly priced and we bought a matching veil for a total of $2100. The dress is as stunning as any $5K+ I tried on in NYC.

This was the first bridal shop I visited and I am really happy it was. I walked in an hour before they closed with no appointment and they were happy to help me. They were willing to try and work within my small budget of $200-$300 and they found me gorgeous gowns for that price. The staff was really nice and really respectful and made it a special shopping experience. Thank you!
Two weeks before my wedding I called Elegance by Carbonneau and asked to speak with Ashlee, the Sales Manager, who helped me find the perfect wedding shoe a couple weeks earlier. I had left another bridal shop and after many alterations the dress wasnt fitting correctly. My fiancé told me to call Ashlee and get myself a new dress, he did not want me unhappy. It was a Saturday and the store was to close in 15 minutes. They not only stayed open to try and help me, they had at least a dozen dresses in my size and the style I wanted just waiting for me. Dress number two zipped up to perfection and was absolutely stunning! I had a new dress!! Cathy, the General Manager, had also stayed to help and pinned the bustle. My dress was ready a week later and Lynn, the Owner, had me put the dress on to show me the bustle and it was gorgeous! I am picking up the dress in two days and it will all be steamed and sparkling like new. We get married Saturday and I am one happy bride. I cannot say enough about Elegance by Carbonneau. I have heard so many wonderful things about them and it would have been much easier to have gone there in the first place. I highly recommend you start there, I couldnt imagine youd go anywhere else after.

I had the most perfect dress shopping experience today. I was helped my Kyla, who was sweet and so knowledgeable. She played close attention to what I liked about each dress and managed to find me THE dress. I figured it would take a number of appointments to really make a decision, but she read my needs and wants perfectly and knew exactly how to piece together accessories to look perfect. I never felt pressured or rushed (even though we were there till closing!). All in all, I left Charbonneaus with not only my dream dress selected, but memories which helped make the wedding planning process even more magical!

No customer service when there is a problem. Owner still has not called me back after calling over a week ago with a complaint. My daughters prom dress ripped completely apart in the back to the point that it could not be fixed. Once the dress is out the door, it is not their problem
Shannon and Jenna were both extremely helpful to me when I was shopping for a prom dress. They were great when it came to finding styles I liked and with suggestions for hair and accessories. I never felt rushed even when it was very busy.
I just recently bought my wedding dress from them and I absolutely love it. I went a few weeks ago and picked a dress but not long after I came to realize I picked the wrong dress! Lynn, the manager, heard how upset I was with my original decision and said she just wanted me to be happy so she let me come back in with another stylist. Ashley was amazing with listening to what I wanted and picking the perfect dresses for me to try on(I actually ended up picking the first dress she picked for me to try on). They were all so kind and understanding. I thought I was going to feel awkward after changing my mind and going back to try on more dresses but they made me feel comfortable. I am so happy I decided to go there and would absolutely send friends here for their own needs.
Stopped by the booth at the wedding expo and staff was very stuck up and rude. Went to the store and wasn’t offered any help. Don’t waste your time here.
Expensive, lack of sizes, and very rude Clerks. I have shopped around at other stores looking for a bridal gown that was simple and elegant. What was given to me was more mother-of-the-bride sackcloths. If you do go I highly suggest you make an appointment and expect to spend at least $2,000. If you want something simple and tasteful that makes you look and feel beautiful, find someplace else.

From head to toe, Jewels to shoes, Elegance has EVERYTHING you need. She looked absolutely Stunning.The Bridal party dresses as well as my dress and her Mother in laws dress were also so beautiful!!!I also have to add that when it came time for my final fitting, I was just discharged from the hospital and Lynn offered to bring the gown to MY house for my fitting- Who does that? Nobody but Elegance By Carbonneau is with you every step of the Way!! I could never thank you enough for everything you did to make the shopping experience SO EASY! You are all, Truly Amazing :)
If I could give a 0 star I would! After having a fiasco with originally selecting/paying for Alfred Angelo dresses we had to re-shop (no fault to them). I had selected 4 dresses, 2 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls. I was given the color samples in which I chose the colors. I put the order in and paid for all 4 dresses up front. After a week I received a call stating that I couldnt get any of the dresses I ordered in the colors I picked. Come to find out the dresses could only be ordered in 1 color. I ended up having 2 disappointing calls with in 2 weeks, 1 issue right after another. If the dresses could only be ordered in 1 color, they shouldnt be showing a variety of color samples! Since I had already paid for the dresses, they said the order couldnt be cancelled and the only option I had was to get the dresses in the 1 color or be out the $700. I spent a lot of money and wasnt even notified that the dresses were in. People who arent even in my wedding, whos names were never given, ended up speaking with the team regarding my dresses. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with how everything went! I had so many issues and set backs, nothing was offered to make anything easier. Couldnt even get my colors! Spent way too much money for being so disappointed. Wont be referring or going here again!
I love Elegance and Carbonneau! I got my prom dress two years in a row here, everyone is super nice and helpful and there’s a lot of dresses to chose from.
The experience started off fine, a very friendly girl welcomed us in and showed us around a little. Then as I looked, I found a lot of dresses I liked but only in sizes 00-2, I found maybe 10 dresses in my size (8) and when I asked another girl about it, she said they order the most popular designs in only 00-02s, then she made me feel very uncomfortable with my size. She said shed go gather some 8s for me, I sat in the dressing room for 10 minutes, for her to return with a handful of dresses for someone else. Then I waited another 10 minutes for her to come back with dresses that werent at all like I described and all hundreds of dollars above what I said my budget was. I could see another very nice workers & I guess I picked a bad apple. I wouldnt go back.

Lynn, I truly wish I could up my stars, however there are a few misunderstandings. I am the purchaser, I paid over the phone for the dress and the return policy was not explained to me as I would not have purchased it had I known I couldnt return it and being out of state not being able to see it in person. As for the bridesmaid, I was on the phone with her as well the other bridesmaid and each stated they liked the dress but were also unsure of the color and because we thought it could be returned or exchanged figured it wouldnt be an issue.
I loved my experience at carbonneau bridal today!!!! Tiffany helped me find a dress that was so different but ended up being perfect for me. I can’t wait for prom day to show off my amazing dress!

There 1.5 hours . Had price point. Found the dress priced in our price range. Very excited. Only to have an associate not the owner tell me price on ticket miss priced by $200 + change under what it was supposed to be. This put dress out of price point . My dtr very sad and cried, me angry for wasting time and upset for my dtr. Moving on wont ever shop there again. Other places more reasonable.
Staff was wonderful to me. I didnt have a lot of money to spend and went to 2 other bridal boutiques that the staff were kind of rude to me and I left their stores feeling inadequate and silly for even asking for a dress in the budget range I had. But Carbonneaus staff didnt even flinch when i told them my budget. They went right to work looking for something I could afford and I was amazed that they pulled a dress out of thin air in my price range and they were just incredibly comforting and helpful. The dress is beautiful and I would recommend this store 10 out of 10 times. Other stores in and around Worcester just dont compare. Thank you. :-)

Wasn’t particularly busy when we went but still nobody offered to help me or my friend find anything. Majority of dresses were sizes 00-2. It was a smaller selection than I thought it would be. Had to walk out without even trying anything on.

All of my bridesmaids ordered their dresses from Elegance by Carbonneau in December of 2015. Some had been sized in a separate store, and came in telling Elegance this was the size they ordered, others were sized in the store. Three of the dresses did not fit when they arrived in March(?) and from there it was a horrible experience. I understand that waivers are signed saying I understand I am ordering X size, but you would think that as a business they would want to make things right for the customer.Separately from my bridesmaids, I happened to be in my friends wedding and also ordered from here (my dress fits perfectly). My bridesmaid and I ordered from the same designer, in the same size, and my dress fit me perfect but her dress did not fit me. Same person, same size dress, same designer, one fits and the other doesnt. I brought both dresses with me to the store, tried them on in front of the girls and they measured both in front of me, agreeing that the dresses were in fact measuring a different size. They kept both dresses and said that they would speak to the designer. About 2-3 days later, I got a call that said the designer has confirmed the smaller dress is true to size and they wont send us a new one, so theres nothing we can do. As a customer, THAT is for sure not my issue or responsibility to pay for a new dress when the one I ordered is flat-out wrong (and EBC agreed it was wrong to my face). It was very frustrating that they refused to make a customer happy and pay for the corrected dress themselves - because we certainly were not going to. If I could leave a review for the designer, I would do that too. But I also never actually spoke with them directly because I was told they do not speak to individuals, only businesses they work with when I asked for a number to calll them directly.The second dress was ordered a size SMALLER than they suggested, and it still was laughably too big for my bridesmaid. I could take the dress in my fist and wrap it around my hand. Of course, they still refused to do anything and she ended up ordering a different dress from eBay, in TWO sizes smaller than they initially told her to order and it fit perfectly.All of the girls I spoke with on the phone were very pleasant and we had a wonderful experience in-store (both for my wedding and my friends). Its such a shame that this is the way things ended. For all of the stress/hassle, it really is not worth taking your chances here. Go down the street to Bella Bridal, they were also great and I wish we had gone through them instead.

DISGUSTED with this bussiness. After purchasing a bridal gown, 8 bridesmaid dresses, 2 junior bridesmaid dresses, and 2 flower girl dresses you would think they would be happy with the amount of money they made off of us. Nope! The employees convinced ALL 8 bridesmaids to get a size up so we can tailor it to fit you perfectly forgetting to ever mention that the alterations cost $50 INITIALLY, and then youre blindesided when you pick your dress up with an ADDITIONAL $100+ in alteration fees. The dress was cheaper than the alteration fees. It it a very basic dress, 1 shoulder strap, floor length, PLAIN, no beading, nothing... I would have taken the dress as is and got it tailored somewhere else. Or heres a thought... I would have purchased the size that actually fit me! Youll NEVER see us for bussiness again, or anyone I know. Stay away from these crooks!

There was only one other party there and probably 3 workers, but of course, no one bothered to help us. So my bridesmaids found the dress they wanted, had to track down one of the workers to get their measurements. Now the wedding is January 8th, about 3 months from when were purchasing. We told them the date and the woman assured us that we would get the dresses in time for altering and whatnot - of which they cant do themselves. So we paid in full since the dresses werent much more expensive than the $100 deposit they wanted. The next day, I get a call saying they needed an extra $40 per dress for a rush delivery. The rush delivery would have the dresses in by December 16th, where normal delivery would be by January 3rd.... so why couldnt they tell me this before we paid for the dresses? So my maid of honor called back later. also questioning about the deliver. This time, they told her the dresses would be in by December 16th, but we wouldnt be able to pick them up until December 20th. She then asked if we could get our money back, to which she said no. I got a call back from the same woman, saying she was the manager, and that we could get it back. After asking her why she told my maid of honor she couldnt, she said she had to consult with the owner. What is the point of the manager then? Thankfully, we got our money back and went to another store right after: QLook Bridal on main street in Worcester. We told them the date of the wedding and asked the charge for rush delivery. $25 to have the dresses in by the end of November - definitely a deal compared to that other store. Not to mention a lot more dresses to choose from and the workers there are a lot friendly and more willing to work with you (cost-wise too, you can bargain for discounts!)
Overcrowded with clothes and people. Difficult to move in the aisles. Long wait times for dressing rooms.
