Love thrifting here! Just wish they were more open to negotiations. Prices have gone way up too which I dislike. Always find good stuff here though, great resource to the community.
I like this store. It is organized and you can find table games, books, pictures, vintage decorations...furniture! Clothes and more...you need take time if you go because you have to be sure that items are in good conditions. Sometimes you find new and nice clothes with the tag! Good prices!
This Savers is great. We dropped off a bunch of stuff and it was fast and easy. Then went inside to shop and I got 2 books and my wife got a nice pair of hiking boots
Wouldnt let me do a review without clicking on the 1 star I want to give 0 starsI was there today and see there are no normal checkouts they are now all self checkouts and there are only 2 that you can use cash on so there was a line waiting to use the cash check-out one of the workers pretty sure he was a pretty useless manager let some one cut the cash line trying to say he had been waiting which he hadnt I had just seen him still shopping a couple mins before extremely rude good luck with those registers people are going to rob that place blind especially when you have managers that wont even stop someone from cutting in line he def wont be stopping the thieves hes uselessWill be awhile until I go back there again if I ever do not that anyone cares.
I go to this savers quite often, both to shop & donate. The store is huge and has a large variety of items. I do have several complaints — the prices of their dresses is absurd. Most are priced at $11.49. Considering dresses are often worn once for an event & not worn again, they are one of the least sustainable parts of a women’s wardrobe. To encourage women to shop for dresses secondhand, the prices shouldn’t be as high as they are. Other prices in general have also gone up. Sweaters are usually $9.49 or $7.49 & that’s just kind of high, especially considering the goodwill has all sweaters for $5.50. Jeans are up to like $15. I found a pair of beaten up kids vans for $40 - you can get kids vans new for that price. If you’re trying to promote sustainability and shopping secondhand, the prices should reflect that. Otherwise people will start going across the street to tj maxx where they can get these items for the same price as getting a used item. The cashier with the purple/blue shorter hair is also extremely rude to customers. She was very rude to an elderly lady asking a question because it was her first time at savers since they switched to self checkout. I had to go to her for an exchange and she acted very annoyed to actually have to be doing something instead of sitting on her phone and gave me some serious sass to the point where I almost said something to her.
Ive been shopping here for years and years and it never gets old, I love hunting for treasures from clothing to house decor and furniture. Deals youll never find in the store. Ive told so many friends/family members whove taken my advice and come with me and realize why I love it.Lately theyve been marking things up that arent even worth it, but I cant complain because you can still find the deals if you look good enough.Staff is either really nice or really cold and unprofessional and not just staff, management too that Ive personally had awful experiences with, its hit or miss (like the deals). Its the only downside to the shopping experience in my opinion, but it wont stop me from going.
I’ve been a fan of Savers for a long time but have been very disappointed with the store since COVID. Restrictions have been lifted, but they still haven’t opened their dressing rooms and was told yesterday that they don’t plan to. Guess I won’t be shopping here anymore then since they don’t accept returns. You can only exchange it for store credit. If I want to try on $80 worth of clothes to see what fits, what am I to do? If nothing works, I don’t have $80 worth of merchandise for which to exchange it! I spoke with a clerk at checkout (seemed to be the manager). I explained this dilemma and that they’ve got to be losing business (I’ve read other reviews complaining about the same), and she abruptly dismissed it saying that they are doing fine and to have a nice day. Very rude!! It’s also true that their prices sometimes make no sense. You could find a brand new shirt for a great price or a raggedy shirt worn hundreds of times for a crazy price.
Great place to give donations. Pull up empty out and go
You can make an amazing reading library for an extremely reasonable price.
ARE these donations????? THEYRE PRICED LIKE NEW. Well i saw them new at TJ MAXX!!! It’s a flipping thrift store!!!!! No inventory costs yet instead of passing on the savings to ppl who cannot afford it. The pictures tell the story!!! It’s on Lincoln lots of poor folks but yet priced like Macy’s. The store in better neighborhoods have BETTER prices!!! WHO PRICES THESE THINGS?!! It’s insanity!!! It’s so bad I never donate to this location!!!!!
No fitting rooms but they havent changed their return policy. 14 days, exchange only.
Savers. I never once had a bad experience here! I love the fact that I can come here for one thing and come home with so much and rest easy knowing its all going to the Epilepsy foundation of New England. I also recommend this place to my friends starting out in Cosplay (before spending money on big costumes and finding out its not for them) because its such a versatile place.Thank you everyone here for everything. I appreciate all the amazing finds I had here through the years.
Xavier was my cashier, he was great and very pleasant to my disabled mother, he should really consider going into Healthcare, he would be a great physical therapist or OT, very pleasant human 😀 the store itself is in the city so expect the items to be more used than usual, however they do have a huge store and there will deff be something that will catch your eye. I donate there frequently and it always cracks me up to see my stuff on display. savers is always fun to poke around in
Selection is good but too dirty most often when the Manager named Jen is there that’s what I was told she’s not friendly always has an attitude and really need to work on it different industry. As a manager is family and hard-working I never see her working she’s never polite anyone in the store terrible management from her
Not a great thrift store. Sold me a pair of counterfeit Nikes for $30. Wouldnt give a refund. Only a trade. Thrift stores should make sure they arent selling counterfeit products. But with untrained, low paid employees......
Havent been out shopping in a while. Store was well organized and lots to choose from. Cant wait for you to have your sale days again.
Love the coupons and the color of the day sales here! Cashiers are usually very friendly and efficient.
Variety of stuffs. Although very pricey but good stuff
Perfect for waiting the 23 bus to Central Hub Worcester. Public restrooms are open.
Excellent! Great time hunting treasure!
Much neater than usual today. Of course yesterday, they were closed for the storm, and so far being a weekday Im in earlier than many would normally go. All said, its the typical Savers.
Lots of good deals.
Any time I’ve been here any staff I talk to are amazingly nice and kind. I’m sure during the pandemic things have gotten a lot harder on them but they still are showing helpful smiling faces. I’m really appreciative for that, I don’t go out much and have a bit of anxiety about it but they make it so much easier for me. Not to mention the prices are also amazing, but the workers’ positive attitudes keep me coming back too :) Thank you!!
This place I can find good deals but sometimes I think whoever is pricing things is out of their mind!! Same Pyrex measuring cup 2 different prices!! So I bought the cheaper one lol. Also the prices they want for used clothing can be ridiculous, always buy whats on 50% markdown!
Always so clean. Friendly employees
Great place! Its good to see merchandise that would have normally been discarded, being brought home by happy consumers.
The prices have gone way up
The prices have gotten excessively high, and completely inconsistent... I found 4 bowls to match my dishes for 3.99, and then one matching stray bowl for 1.99. I asked to speak to the manager and said Im not complaining I just want to call this to your attention.... Four bowls for essentially $4 and one bowl for $2. Theyre all the same bowl...for immediate response was I have nothing to do with pricing. To which I said, I understand that... But as the manager I trust that you can bring it to the attention of those people who do.... In the most dismissive and snide tone, she said oh yeah, I will. I will not come here again.... Theres plenty of other second-hand stores in the area...
Its hit or miss depending on what youre looking for. Clean, organized. I saw some people leaving with some very nice buys.
Terrible out of stock pet supplies once again!!!
Nice place to shop for used clothes and used electric
Its a good place lots of stuff
This savers is clean and social distancing is great. Staff is very helpful to those who have disability. I am HOH (hard of Hearing) and they were very helpful by pulling there mask down behind cashier shield to talk to me. Will visit again.
Love it, I always find great stuff. I just cant seem to get out of the store, before closing time.
I really like how well organized this location is! Sometimes when a store is this busy the items are just piled up wherever and it can make it difficult to search for what you’re looking for. But the employees here have done an excellent job with upkeep! Lots of little household knickknacks, quite a huge selection of clothing, and an impressive shoe section as well. Pricing is a little strange, and if you are looking for nice vintage pieces you really have to dig and take your time. Overall a good spot for a thrift trip!
The best thrift store Ive ever been to. Exceptional staff and very clean and organized. Ive shopped here for years.
Love dropping off all kinds of items at the donation site.
You find some really great things
I purchased from Mens, Womens, & Childrens clothes today. I had made these purchases today because I had a 20% off coupon. Or so I thought! Last month I went in to use the same 20%off & couldnt. Same problem today! Which of course you dont find out til you go to pay. It showed the coupon right on my online account. tThey should have done something this time to try & honor it.
Theyve good price
Good stuff at low prices.
Doing a public service while making a profit is fine with me
Always make out here. ALOT of local scavengers cuz its in WORCESTER but its still AWESOME!
😏
.. They price there stuff to high for it to be all used stuff ...
Proclaimed store manager Jenniferwas very rude and provoking when made aware of hidden item defect
I like the return policy. You can bring it back, find something else to exchange for similar price. Comparable to salvation army.
Good place to buy used items.
A little scary, sometimes I feel uncomfortable when I am in the store. But the prices are very affordable and sometimes you will find what you are looking for for a great price.
Very nice selection, prices are high on some items.
Jen is an awful manager she’s lazy doesn’t help the customer uncooperative impolite give savers a very bad now not for long as the face of the store the other is Britney are phenomenal work very hard always are helpful this woman yes disturbingly bad
Not much of anything worth buying alot of broken stuff!
Savers is such a great thrift store! Things there are insanely cheap, and people are always donating more stuff, so you never know what treasures youll find!
Sharing your gently used household items has never been easier!!Just before the quarantine happened, I had loaded up my car with books and other stuff that I wanted to donate. Then covid-19 showed up and put a halt to my plans.Well all the stuff has been in the back of my car for months.I drove by Savers this afternoon on my way back from Target and saw that they were accepting donations. I pulled in, got in the drip off line and (YAAAAY) the friendly associate eagerly helped me unload my car! They handed me a coupon and donation receipt and sent me on my way!Perfect!!!
Have found some fantastic bargains over the years, but now can only give four stars. Bargains just are not as good. I have even seen items priced more than the original price. Still worth shopping there, still some good deals, but fewer and far between. Everything old is not an antique. Lowered discount coupons for donations! They have lost some long time employees which are sorely missed. Since when is it ok to wear earphones when working? Remember without customers there would be no jobs.Savers is my favorite thrift store, hope it becomes great again.
Great deals on awesome clothes
Brand new Caterpillar Boots!! Tags still on I paid 4.00
Because they have some good stuff there and it cheap
Clean an organized. Bring your own bag.
Made donations today. 10 cars lined up but they were on top of their game
I donated some items before going shopping so I could have an extra discount. Some items are a bit pricey which is why I gave the 4 stars yet others are a fair deal.Very few fall under the great steal category. I usually shop for gently used items
Great place for last minute outfits!
So expensive compare to new stuff almos $1 DIFFERENCE
My favorite place to shop!! Cant guarantee a good selection every time, but sometimes you get lucky! The prices are worth the trip!
Great store .. good things not much for man shoes but thats the norm man buy less and donate less if u woman or kid its awsome also decent man clothing.. prices are little too high on some items considering they fo not pay for their merchandise..dont under estimate 3 stars I dont give them loosely.
Good place for picking 2nd hand items, I like browsing the books and music good prices can be found. It depends on the visit and things recently donated every visit is different, and some prices are too high for used stuff.
The quality of the merchandise is great. There is a wide variety of everything you could be looking for. The cashiers were not very friendly to Caucasian people so if you are Caucasian, be aware of that. You may choose to to support another, friendlier company.
Fun place to shop..so many things to see, stores well stocked for sure. They didnt have bags tho, so was hard to carry out all my purchases. Otherwise a fun and exciting place to find just about anything at great prices.
Collection is here is pretty medicore when compared to that of the Marlboro Savers... I bit disappointed... As I love throfting for home decor and travelled all the way to Worcester...
Very busy and the line was to long.
Awesome storw
Dirty messy
Most clothes are ok. Hate how the pants are hung. Some clothes are stained. Bathrooms are ALWAYS 😝 gross. Must look at all items with an eagle eye.
I absolutely love Savers❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜❣️
Savers is a great place to shop for people who enjoy yard sales and thrift shops. They have a huge selection (with new items added daily) of donated house-wares and clothing. They sell everything from microwaves to artwork. If you take your time you can often find a valuable treasure! They offer 50% off on selected color tagged items from Wednesday to Sunday, all items are tagged with a certain color and between those days they choose one color and any item with that color tag is half price! They have a large collection of books, records & cds. Lots of childrens toys and games as well as antiques and furniture. I have a lot of fun going through all the sections, you never know what your going to come across at Savers.
This place is really nice if you want to find me slightly used clothes and a good price your best bet is to donate clothes and get 30% off or spend $100 and get 20% off sometimes if your elderly you wait till Tuesdays and you get 20% off the return policy is not so hot but you get what you pay for and its a really good deal so Ill be happy with what you got
Great place to find unique things, however prices have jumped too high. I find many used items are now priced the same or more than if you bought the item new. Way too high. Higher than you will find at Walmart.
Very clean and organized.👍👌.
I dropped items off.I really wanted to support them so I will continue to drop stuff off.I took a look around.Everything orderly, clean, spaced out. However, the books I wanted to buy were $9.99. So, I put them back. Stemware the same thing 3.99 a piece. I know at a consignment shop or goodwill everything is cheaper.I will continue to drop stuff off .however, for picking up stuff Goodwill is half the price.
Store had very little merchandise....not sure what is happening
I love shopping here.
Too expensive for mostly very worn items. I can buy brand new clothes at Jcpenney and Lord &Taylor, Kohls ( on sales days, clearance racks) for less!
It was a delight friendly employees and a very good variety. I always love going to savers . Some are better than others, but all are great shopping .
Very organized. Great prices. Used clothing mostly. Some furniture and household items
Great place for gently used clothes and furniture. Great prices.
The best advice I can give is that your better cutting this store out as the middle man and shopping on Craigslist. They get these items free yet they can be priced more than new.The electronics are broken much of the time and you cant return them. I would worry about bed bugs from the furniture. I am not impressed at all
Good location and constantly changing inventory. Very large space. Could be a bit more tidy. Friendly staff.
Great place to find great things for those with a budget.
Great thrift store. More organized than others and generally a good variety of items.
Clean, friendly, great selection
This review is based on today. Normally, I have a fine time in this location. I forgot the young ladys name, but, my cashier at 5:20pm was a huge disappointment. Her customer service was more than lacking. To be specific, she was condescending and dismissive when I used the wrong terminology regarding my membership. Then she proceeded to practically dig a hole in my $100 bill with the fraud marker, waiting for it to turn. After completing the purchase she stands there silently while I wonder why she hasnt bagged all of our items. After standing there for a bit, she says, oh, we dont have any bags. It wouldve been nice to know this before our items were rung up. We then folded our own items while she turned her back to us and waited for us to leave.
You can find really good merchandise if you take the time and look around! ´ good store to go 2 and the staff - absolutely awesome 👍
Always find something.. live the sale days.. some items priced way too high if not on sale..
The employees here are as unfriendly as you will encounter anywhere; often downright rude. The merchandise is decent, and the prices are cheap, so its worth it occasionally to come here.
It is bittersweet that Im eligible for the senior discount but, I do enjoy it. The store was particularly clean this visit. I dont know if it was because it was closer to closing. I feel badly for the employees since people trash the place because they think they can. Items are randomly stuffed all over the place. The majority of parents treat it like a playground, letting their darlings run all over the store, ride bikes or skateboards through the store, making a massive mess in the toy area! It is shameful. Overall, Im happy to get clothes at a reduced price!
Fun place to dig through used goods and clothes. The prices are a bit higher than they used to be though, and checking out will take a very long time.
I love to shop at savers.
