Use them for home and for business and everything is great. We have ATt&T internet as a backup at my business and Wyandotte blows them away in both speed and customer service.

If youre on the plus side of 50 years old, keep an eye on your bills. We have been charged extra multiple times for miscellaneous fees. This includes renting equipment we didnt have, being charged for having equipment we already returned, and not applying payments to bills so youre double billed.

I was just HUNG up on by one of the ladies in billing. She was very rude and then hung up on me when I was trying to ask questions on how I can pay the bill. 100% happy I no longer live in Wyandotte

They always seem to have issues with the internet. I work from home and it’s very frustrating. Today the internet has been out for 12 hours so far, and no one can provide any eta of when it will be fixed. Every time the internet goes out, they never provide any visibility or communication of when it will be fixed. If you work remotely DO NOT GET THIS INTERNET.

They’ve pushed out all competition aside from AT&T which doesn’t offer more than their most basic internet package to SOME areas. Speeds are pretty unstable and it’s been made even more apparent working from home. Few months ago I went an entire month with barely usable connection (they still made me pay for that month in full). Was given a lot of run around with tech support and had request tickets ignored. Customer service had an attitude right upon answering my call when I finally started going through them. The issue eventually “worked itself out”. Now here I am again with a struggling connection and have to look forward to dealing with their customer service/tech support. It’s unfortunate they’ve monopolized the area because delivering poor service means nothing to them when they’ve got no other competition. I’d use any other ISP over them. Two aluminum cans across string might provide better service.

Funny how no lawyers want to help me go against a city thats probably making their residents overpay certain utilities by manipulating paper work vs. Real online statements. Justice will come in time

I have had the best experiences with Wyandotte. Recently, I needed some in-depth assistance. My Situation was a bit complicated but thanks to Kelly I was able to get it all sorted out. She not only took the time necessary to help me, she had the knowledge and resources that were necessary in order to help me.The Internet is the best Internet that I’ve ever had. And our garbage is picked up probably every single week. My Electric went out once last year, and it was back on within the hour. That was due to an ice storm and other areas with in Southeast Michigan were out of power for over a week. I truly have nothing negative to say about the utilities here in Wyandotte. And the customer service is not just good, people like Kelly make it extraordinary!

They are the worst. I paid my bill and they still shut off all of my utilities. I have 2 small kids and they said they didn’t care if I had kids your not that I was involiation of 1 of there stupid polices. When I asked them to explain it to me they just crept repeating the line they just said. The supervisor heather doesn’t know her job well enough to answer my question. When I told her that I was going to the media she call the police on me saying I thrented them. When they turned my water off they damaged my concrete. So I have to send my kids to school without baths and with only fast food to eat. I posted my story on there Facebook page they took down my post and blocked me. I’m glad I live in a city that you can’t question the people appointed to help ran it.

Ridiculous. $30 for 6mpbs WITH 150GB per month limit. I mean how much can you download with 6mpbs? Dead slow and went 100GB over my limit. So I paid $40 for 6mpbs internet!!! so i just upgraded to $45 100mpbs with 1.5TB limit. Thats expensive. and the apartment has no other service other than wyandotte municipal; so they have monopoly. no ATT, spectrum, WOW, xfinity offer service in my apartment. $45 per month is just ridiculous for internet and I am using my own modem. Just give at least 15mpbs for $30 per month unlimited. Thanks.

Before I moved in I noticed Wyandottes atrocious speeds / data caps, but luckily just before we closed on our house their offerings are FANTASTIC and crush ATT + Comcast. Im paying $59.99/mo for 110Mb down (insanely fast), and 15Mb up. From ATT youd be getting 25mb-50 down for that price. Also, cap is 1.8TB now instd of 500gb which is much more sizeable. Props to them for fixing what everyone was upset about.

Terrible cable service and horribly outdated equipment. Had to buy my own router to even be able to use the Internet and their over plan allowances are a joke. Why do I pay for the best internet they offer if I cant use it. To anybody moving to Wyandotte, take anything you can get other than Wyandotte cable.Heres an edit from a couple days later:Theyve now doubled the price of my internet package without telling me without any upgrade in allowances. The amount of money paid for what Ive been given is absurd. Any other company would be much cheaper for more reliable internet.

I give two stars because despite the fact the internet is the worst outside of Istanbul, the customer service is friendly, even when they say inane things like, The overage is only 10 cents a gigabyte. (Math doesnt add up when youre constantly going over by hundreds and hundreds) When I moved in here in 2003, I went from Comcast to Wyandotte Municipal. Well, it was okay, then; they were using Google servers, unlimited internet. But I dont know when exactly this change took place, but suddenly we had all these overage charges...like over 500Gs a month over. I had them out to re wire the house, bought a new router, have three programs running that trace if anyone is ripping off your WiFi. No explanation. Since when do we have a cap of 500G/month. You need to upgrade to a different plan. There were no plans when I signed on. How do I know Im using the internet and not them since theres no meter on the house. Their traffic monitor is a joke. Its supposed to track your usage in real time, but at the end of each week, it looks like you get 500G/week, but it is actually per month. Well, thats gone after a couple Netflix movies and some picture downloads on Facebook. Once, while hooking up a new router, I had to call in to get them to do a reset. It was on a weekend, so the calls are bounced to somewhere in Texas. They wouldnt do it; told me I had an overage. I said, So what? I always have an overage. They said, We cant turn it on until you pay your bill. I said, I just paid it two days ago in person and besides, we always pay our bill. It doesnt matter how far over we are; you always get your money. They refused to turn it on. For the money they charge ($139/mo) I should get unlimited internet and more than one DVR box, but thats all I get. How can Wyandotte charge twice the money for half the service. My daughter has Verizon FIOS...awesome! Wicked fast internet and unlimited for less than this. If Wyandotte is obviously not going to keep up, they need to expand the market to the competition. If theyre going to continue to be a monopoly, I would advise anyone who values good internet and cable to move elsewhere.

Moved here to wyandotte about 6 months ago, I miss my xfinity and I dont understand why we dont have a choice of which cable wed like to have, because this cable is awful. Completely outdated and the wi-fi is always going out, we have high speed internet and it freezes up all the time, so frustrating, the people at the office are always friendly, no problems with customer service (except hard to get thru, always busy) but its not right to limit the city to one crappy outdated cable system. Their math makes no sense and they dont have to provide you an explanation. They can just give you a fee without a meter reading.
