I had a an automatic garage door replaced a few years ago. It still looks new and functions as well as the day we had it installed. Quality materials installed professionally. I highly recommend Overhead Door Company of Grand Rapids.
Just got a new opener installed by Randy and Charles at the Solis residence... great company to work with and Randy and Charles even took time to help us with old remotes and installed a wireless controller in garage. Thanks guys...hope to get new door soon too from Overhead!
Mike Ghareeb came out on a Tuesday to give us a quote, and on Friday of the same week we had our new door installed. I must say, my husband knew we were going with this company as soon as he saw that Mike parked on the road rather than on our yet-to-be-shoveled driveway (one of my hubbys pet peeves)! Ha! Everyone we dealt with from this company was courteous and professional. We are very pleased with the installation, and we cant believe how quiet the door/opener is! We highly recommend Overhead Door.
My door opener quit going up this week. I have an obsolete Overdrive unit. So parts are hard to find. Turned out the coupler was damaged and the tech was able to use a universal part to make it work again. My thanks to the Overhead Door folks for making this a very easy fix. I even got a tune up before he left. Door works better now than it has in years. Very quiet. 5 stars for sure.
Theyre the best in town! For years theyve been knowledgeable and friendly when I needed parts to do my own repairs. They just installed a brand new opener yesterday. Its perfect!
This company has great customer service. I have used them. Very quick, pleased with the work and reasonable rates.
I made contact with the Overhead Door Company of Grand Rapids to discuss the poor craftsmanship of my garage doors. We bought a house that was 14 years old and I wanted to know why the garage doors had so many indentations (looked like someone was hitting golf balls against them every day-all day), they called these doors the 495 series flush doors. Essentially I was told they made these for 1 year and discontinued due to the issue I mentioned above. I wanted to replace the doors, they had no desire to assist in the replacement, in fairness the house is 14 years old, I wasnt asking for something for nothing, I just wanted to understand if they knew they had a problem why wouldnt they in good faith make some form of restitution or allowance on a new set of doors. If I owned the company I wouldnt want my name on these doors, I was looking at 22K in replacement doors. I still plan on replacing just not with this company, I feel its important today to stand behind the product you sell, when you knowingly have issues they should be addressed, its called customer service, Overhead Door of Grand Rapids lacks that, I would take my business elsewhere when shopping for garage doors if you want a company you can count on.
Very helpful. I had parts for the old door and they matched them up.
Great service. Brian is great.
Joe was easy to work with and got me a price instantly! Thanks Joe!
BRIAN was here. Very professional efficient. Would definitely recommend .
Friendly and knowledgeable service!
I love my woodgrain door! The textured color looks great on our dark colored house!
We had garage doors installed at the Grand Rapids Center for Community Transformation in 2019 and the doors look amazing! We get so many great comments on them.
Cannot Service their own product. I ordered an internet enabled door opener to add to my current system and when it came time for an install the tech (super nice guy and dedicated) was uneducated on how to install it. Thankfully the gentleman was willing to learn and we walked through the process and got it running. Corporate says put it on the wall and leave - not making sure that the device works to its entire capacity. Thats not service...Again the tech was great and a very nice guy, I was ecstatic that he was looking to learn and service the customer better, its the corporate business model thats crap. After it had been installed the device has been semi faulty and they choose not to support the device but rather defer to a tech crew that cant tell much and would refer to your equipment as the problem. Its easy to point fingers ladies and gentlemen but its even better when good customer service is given. Figure it out.I wont work with this business in the future at all. Its a shame that they must crap on their customers so they can save a $.
The guys sent over to fix my door was great and fast. The sales guy came by later to get some measurment on a replacement panel, but also ended up helping me with changing my garage code. He didnt have to but he did and was super nice about it! They are great 5🌟
Started my inquiry by E-Mail for the price, then called to set up the service call. Both employees were helpful and friendly. Service tech Shawn showed up on time to our appointment and was super nice. He listened to my issues, inspected the units and repaired them as needed. He made sure all my questions were answered and even helped to reprogram my remotes, lubricate the doors and set the limits correctly. Overall I was very impressed with the entire experience and was very glad I called for help. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend them to anyone and I will be using them again in the future.
The house I bought had an Overhead Door garage door installed in 1998. Its worked flawlessly the last few years that I have lived here. On Sunday the large spring above the door snapped locking both of our cars in the garage. Although emergency weekend service is available its far from cheap! But a call on Monday morning was answered promptly and they had someone out at the house by 11am despite a very nasty snow storm, and the door fixed shortly after. Honestly I didnt shop around on price but the final charge seemed reasonable to me.
Family owned and operated for almost 70 years now. Great people.
Normally Ive had a GREAT experience with these folks. However, I had a malfunction on one of my garage doors recently. I called ODC of GR as they installed both the door and the opener. The service techs replaced the circuit board on the opener and called it good. A day later, the same problem showed back up (door wouldnt work, light on opener button out). We called them back out. Service tech comes back out, says hes got it fixed again. A few days later, the door is out of service again. We call our electician..turns out the outlet has a problem and there is nothing wrong with the opener. Never was anything wrong. I called ODC of GR to explain I probably should not have received a bill for a new circuit board and the tech was guessing at the problem. Instead of working with me on the bill, the service advisor says what am I supposed to do?. I suggested Id pay for the service call but to bill me for a part and not fixing the problem is unfair. He was completely unsympathetic. Bottom line is they charged me to repair the device but failed to repair it because it wasnt the device at all. I called to discuss it and got nowhere..yet. I asked to speak to the persons boss and Ill wait to hear back from him. If this works out, Ill post on Google again what happened but it sucks to have to fight for what is obviously right with this or any company.
Replaced our opener. Price seemed fair. The installer added a lock to keep tjings secure until the opener was available and evened programmed our car buttons.
If their work is like their employees drive, Id never trust them. 2 times this week alone their employees blew through the school bus stop when the lights are red, so I have to wait for them to pass before my son can get on the bus. Id never hire them!
Excellent service and value Greg was friendly and helpfull
Right part, right part.
Fast and easy with great service
