We showed up to have a fun day on a pontoon and immediately were told they didn’t have enough life jackets. Luckily, our boat was near by (couldn’t hold enough people which is why we rented a pontoon) so we had extra life jackets to continue with the rental. We then went out and tried to push the throttle past trolling and the engine would immediately make very loud noises and the entire pontoon would shake vigorously! The pontoon also wouldn’t turn left and you had to very strongly hold the wheel to keep it straight, otherwise, it would go right all the time. We called in to ask about what we could and we’re told they were out of pontoons but they could fix it. We didn’t want to wait the entire day so just tried to make the best of it. We then tried to swim and drop anchor but the anchor was awful and wouldn’t set properly (I’ve driven several boats and pontoons and this anchor was very small for the pontoon and not adequate) so we would win for 10 minutes and then everyone would get into the boat and we’d have to move so we didn’t hit rocks or boats. We brought the boat the boat in once we gave up and they simply said we didn’t bring it in so they wouldn’t do anything. The lady was very rude and immediately confrontational towards us when we simply wanted to talk about the boat not working properly. After she basically blamed us for not bringing it in (even though we called and asked) she asked if we wanted the manager and we said “yes”! He came and agreed to have us only pay for the hours we had and the 2 gallons of gas we used!! Not to mention the depth finder didn’t work and the young kids helping us out didn’t go over anything in the contract.

This review is on the restaurant at the the Marina on 7/2/2017. We stayed at one of the cabins at the Marina which was excellent! Thank you Nicki! The morning we were leaving we decided to eat breakfast at the Marina Restaurant as we have had decent lunch there the year before. We arrived at 9 am right as they opened. They offered a hot Buffet Breakfast but no ordered breakfast items, it was the buffet or nothing. We we came in they were still setting up the buffet. As we went through the buffet items they had bacon that was half raw that I would have expected made someone ill. We should have left then but we were on a time schedule riding back home and were very hungry! As I scooped up some scrambled eggs that were way over cooked the cook who prepared them came out to place some cold biscuits on the line still in the packaging they came in. He was completely filthy with his shirt on inside out as if he didnt have a clean shirt to wear, his jeans stained and dirty, unshaven and un-showered like he just woke up from a night of partying and rushed into work late. The biscuit gravy was out of a can and Luke warm. They had cold French Toast but no syrup. I asked one of the waitresses who were rolling silverware at the bar if we could get some syrup. Next the filthy cook came out apparently upset that we asked for something to look if there was syrup on the line and then stomped into the kitchen to get the item which took forever. The fresh fruit that was on the line appeared as if it were prepared several days ago as it was all mushy and discolored! I ate my plate of overcooked eggs as I thought that and the cold French Toast would be the only items safe to eat! As we left there was another cook outside smoking who was a little cleaner but had a ponytail and no hairnet which I presume is how he was working in the kitchen. This entire experience was completely unacceptable and whomever manages this establishment should be made aware of if not replaced! The building of the facility is very nice and has the potential of being a premier dining venue in the Yankton area! We will never step foot in this establishment again and visitors and guests should be made aware and warned about the filth we encountered!

Extremely friendly, patient, and generous service - ranging from arranging temporary parking (for a boat) to giving well-needed advice for backing with the trailer and rigging. I am particularly indebted to Mike and Brian, also to other staff members, whose name I have not memorized (yet). I am totally new to sailing, and the help received from the Marina cannot be appreciated enough. Cheers!Istvan Gombocz

I called to ask about Jet Ski Rentals and was told they do not rent them out, which is fine. So the man I spoke withs name was Mike who was Rude, Short, Rushed me off the phone and then hung up on me because I asked By chance do you know of any places in town here that may rent them out? We arent from town but camp here frequently!?Mike proceeded to respond with I know of some but I wont give you that information because theyre competitors! When I asked Are you serious? He responds with Yes Im serious! And hangs up on me!!!I of course upset as my children are listening to this conversation as we are in our motorhome together hoping to find a Jet Ski rental....call back!Mike again answers and I responded with Mike how dare you hang up on me for asking for a business that may rent out a service you do not provide! That was rude, inconsiderate and.... before I could finish he cut me off again with Im rude? Youre rude for asking for a competitors number! I dont have to give that to you for personal reasons!I then said how are they a competitor if you do not rent Jet Skies? He then proceeded to call me Stupid for asking and I had enough!I ripped him a new one about how we have been coming here for 16years and how we were considering housing our pontoon in their Marine but after his rudeness and behavior it has made me second guess that....he responds with Well find a new one that will make you happy cause youre rude! And then hung up on me again!!!I guess being a Midwest girl who lives in a Midwest community Ive been taught that if a business does not have what you are looking for, you ask the business you are on the phone with if by chance they know where you could locate said item. Just about 3/4 of the time a business will give you a name, number or both but the other 1/4 the respond with Im sorry I do not know of any!I believe helping each other out is a HUGE part of professionalism an keeping business local so that each others businesses flourish! I guess I will never understand this whole idea of only 1 business matters, when in reality if a business can not facilitate all thats needed or asked for....they should be willing to help!Never in my 33years have I experienced such rude behavior from a business for asking where I might be able to find an item that the business Im speaking with does not have!Being a good sport clearly was not taught to this employee, nor was decency or customer service.Lewis & Clark has always been a beautiful place to go but their Marina is Not, Nor will it ever be a place I do business again after the treatment I just recieved!!!Might be time to do some instructional training on your employees and their phone edicate!!

Very bad customer service at the marina office by a girl, & also at the dock office where they have the boats, ppl are paying good amount of money and is not fair bout their poor customer service .
