Bought my first adult bike there a few months back . I had no clue what level of bike I needed and they walked me through the selection process. Helped me with maintenance questions also. Very happy with the shop.

Called about a replacement rim for a fat bike ebike build. I called inquiring just about the rim that I stated had no electrical parts. I just needed a regular front fat bike rim and proceeded to receive a lecture on how they wont work on electric bikes but the part has nothing to do with it. The guy was also in la la land when I was trying to ask him some questions like I wasnt important enough to listen to. Take your business to Gung-Ho bicycles in York. They answer all of your questions and actually care about who theyre speaking too and the problem at hand. This shop will never see a dime of my money! Do better!Update: I told you multiple times that I wasnt bringing in any electric bike parts yet you STILL made it a point after the fact to repeat yourself redundantly all while not paying attention like I didnt matter at all and then hung up on me. Nice try at saving face but it falls short here and your customer reviews are only as good as your consistency and that also fell short with this experience. Again.....do better!!🤦‍♂️

Took my sons bike in for a gear adjustment, they took it immediately and serviced it. 20 minutes we were good to go. While Im giving 5 stars here, I do think the helmets are very pricy.

I walked in with two old mountain bikes looking to get up and running for a camping trip this weekend. The gentleman stopped working on the bike he had on his stand and gave my bikes a quick look over. After some advise regarding tune-ups and some new tubes we were up and running! Heck, I even walked out with a new bike for my daughter. Ill be heading back to The Bike Shak when its time to upgrade our other bikes. Good work fellas!

This place was spectacular. I havent ridden bikes since I was a kid, and I really just wanted to start out with a chill road bike for cruising the rail trail and paved roads. Most bike places only had the crazy specialty bikes for thousands, but this place had a huge array of bikes, specialty and new riders will both have lots of options. Even little kid bikes. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and didnt talk down or anything when we asked inexperienced questions. Gave us great product recommendations and fitted us on the bikes well. I walked out with a brand new bike for less than $500 pretax. Great choices in accessories too!

Class Act!I stopped by because my bike was stolen. They didnt have anything in stock for my(tall) height because of the worldwide shortage but they still took time to help me look for bikes at other shops! Stop in to preorder or for accessories and tune up service.

I went I to see if they would just look at a used that I just purchased to work out some issues. Within 20 minutes the bike was set to ride. Checked gears, adjusted the chain, checked and adjusted the tire pressure, and adjusted the bike appropriately for a great ride. I was So impressed with theIr knowledge and helpful tips for riding. I recommend this shop to everyone. Thank you for all your help!

Great staff. Very professional. Reliable advice. This shop has integrity, something that is missing in other places. Did not pressure me into anything that would cost me later on down the line or that is inappropriate for my needs. Very fair and very honest.

Great service!! I have not road in a very long time. Tony and staff was very helpful and friendly. A lot has changed since I last rode a bike. They took time to explain things and listened to what I was looking for and they made their recommendations and got me set up with a nice ride. Looking forward to hitting the trails and riding again. Would definitely recommend these guys...you can tell they love what they do and have the knowledge about the sport!!

I bought my sons bike at The Bike Shak a few months ago, and the service and attention we received was top notch. I should have rated them then, but life happened... you know how that goes. Anyway, I was totally inspired when I visited The Bike Shak in search of a new bike for myself. Mike met me outside (clearly caring about the fact that we are in the middle of a pandemic), was highly conscientious about hygiene and social distancing, listened to my needs, sized me up, and let me try a bike they had in stock so he could recommend the exact kind of bike I needed. Unfortunately, they didnt have either of the recommended models in stock. Rather than try to talk me into a bike they had, or encourage me to hold out for another two months until they had one in stock, Mike suggested another bike shop... totally in the spirit of Kris Kringle in Miracle on 34th Street. Yes, Mike was the Macys Santa Claus sending the mom to Gimbels because she needed the best skates for her daughters little ankles, and Macys just didnt carry them. Thats some amazing customer service. I will recommend The Bike Shak to anyone I know looking for a new bike or accessories.

Very nice shop.It is a small business,and he is busy,so please be patient,I feel he spends as much time as needed with each customer to ensure proper bike sizing and fit.Also got to meet some of the other mechanics today and am proud to say this will be my LBS now.

My wife and I are relatively new cyclists. Last weekend, while riding on the NCR trail near Glenrock, PA, I had a flat tire. Three cyclists, bearing Bike Shak jerseys, noticed the confusion on my face and stopped their ride to help (and educate) us on how to repair the tire. Reminding us to check tire pressures before every ride, these good samaritans rode off into the mist, likely to do more good along the way, good hombres all.
