Im in Gettysburg on vacation and had major issue with my camera. They were the closest camera store (45 minute drive). After a brief phone conversation I took my camera out next morning. Chris instantly figured out the problem and after a few minutes had it fixed. Besides that while he was working on it he was friendly and talkative, not leaving me to stand around board. Once camera was fixed he didnt even charge me, basically he said he hardly did anything. Made me even more comfortable that he was familiar with the guys that normally service my camera nearly 4 hours away. Definitely recommend and if needed with return with no hesitation.

I dont remember his name, but he seemed like the main guy. Was extremely helpful. Was very patient with walking me through understanding what I am buying. Good communicator and listener. Would definitely recommend.

Chris at the camera shop gave me the best personal customer experience. It was refreshing and his knowledge to help me decide on my best option to my photography needs.Purchased a used lens with the confidence that I have a 90 day warranty. It was a huge decision and cost out of pocket. But the pictures I have been taking have been getting better and better as I get use to such a larger and heavier lens.Left my one camera body for a good cleaning and when picking up. Will leave my other identical body for cleaning on pick up. In the meantime, he will be looking for the next used option of a camera body based on the knowledge and ability of the camera.I give this business 2 thumbs up and A+++

I was previously sending my film out to California to be developed. I recently started dropping it off at Camera Center of York for developing. The turnaround times are fast, and the prices are very reasonable. The quality the staff puts into the work is great for what I need. The stock of new and used gear is also unmatched for this area.

Rare to have a camera store around these days. In this digital age, I am still a film fan. They offer film for sale, as well as used film cameras. Very knowledgeable folks as well. They even do film processing.

I really like haveing photos printed here they have the best quality out of any other place. And the prints arent that expensive for the quality which makes me very happy.

I hate to do this because I really love cameras and photography and despite this bad experience I still love looking at this places merchandise. Maybe (hopefully) my experience is a unique one but I feel like I need to share it because the business owner should know how offensive his service has been.I ordered a camera on the 3rd of October (2020). It was around $180 and it was this really cool 3-D Nishika camera; I was excited about it. I got a confirmation on October 5th and havent received a single update on my order since. On the 15th of October I contacted the business via Instagram messenger to ask where my order was. I know someone is active on it and figured if there was a better way I should contact them that theyd let me know. Ill attach screenshots of this conversation. We went back and forth and he let me know that they probably sold it twice but then took no action to correct the mistake. The business still owes me the money for the camera I bought and never received. He seemed unapologetic and forgetful that I even was a customer. After weeks of not hearing about my refund or receiving any updates at all, I considered buying a different camera from him (like I said, I like his merchandise) and having the transaction transfer over, which he seemed confused by. And even then I had to work to get a semblance of information from him. I asked him how much for a camera he suggested because for some reason he couldnt find the one I was considering on his website, and he said the going rate.As a woman interested in photography this felt like a truly classic example of photography being this exclusive boys club. He didnt care about my money or my interest or my transaction. Didnt entertain it at all. I dont think he meant to exclude me in this way but that is certainly how it felt.Ive worked in many customer service roles throughout my life and trust me when I say Im sympathetic. I get being busy one week and not being able to get back to me quickly. I get being low on cash and just needing another week to send me the refund. That would be totally fine I just need the communication! As you can clearly see in the messages, I rarely push him. But when it adds up like it did and when I barely received a fraction of an apology, I can without hesitation say this was the worst customer service Ive ever received. Again, hopefully Im an anomaly, but this place needs to do better.

Dishonest seller. Sold me a lens online announced as a TLR taking lens and when I received, it was a viewing lens. Never returned my emails once the transaction was completed and is still announcing the same lens online.

Small shop, kind of outdated merchandise, a bit pricey, but helps in a pinch. Employees are very knowledgeable of cameras and photos. They offer printing services, camera repair and sales. Also sell other items, like photo albums, camera accessories, and other photo relayed items. They will try to answer all your photography questions accurately the first time. Camera repairs, cleaning and maintenance service is usually quick. They deal with new and old technology; digital and film.Printing service is quite good, actually, and not that expensive, compared to other professional photo printing shops.Usually never packed with people.

The entire staff at the Camera Center of York are just about the most helpful people I have ever dealt with. They are not pushy. They are very helpful with making prints at the computers there. I am learning about my camera...that my husband purchased somewhere else... and they have been nothing but kind and informative. ERGO I went to them when I wanted to buy a camera for my daughter. Knowledgeable, Attentive Staff. Purchased a camera at the store. Selection was not extensive, but when you are looking for a specific camera, a quick call ahead will tell you what you need to know. Had a good selection of Canon and Nikon. They were very helpful and great to deal with. To echo an earlier comment here, its nice to support a community based store and not a big box!!

THE place nearby where you can find staff knowledgeable about photography, products (especially film) not available elsewhere, EXCELLENT printing of any kind of photograph. I was given some great old film cameras and here is where I get advice and accessories like batteries and the right kind of film for what Im doing. Do your digital prints here too, youll be amazed at the difference.

The coolest little camera shop!! They develope film and at better prices than online - for negatives - 120 film costs a little more for the prints due to cropping. They have a lot of cool gear and some great old cameras and gear. You have to check this place out!
