Overall my experience with A&R was atrocious. Due to COVID-19 we had been forced to change our wedding plans to a private venue about 2 months before the wedding. Thus after checking with several rental companies we decided on A&R to provide us with 2 tents, 80 chairs and serving trays. In terms of the actual quoting and pricing everything was fair and timely; However, when the week of the wedding finally arrived things went sideways. The wedding was on Saturday so we were scheduled for delivery and set-up Thursday. Due to rain (no-ones fault) they were forced to re-schedule for Friday. I informed them our rehearsal was Friday night at 530 and was promised that it would be all set-up and done by then. Thus, my parents and I waited all day and called several times, each time being promised they would be there before 4pm until, at 6pm I got a call from Arthur (I believe his name was) who stated he was the crew-manager and wanted to see if we could move set-up to Saturday (the day of the wedding). My fiance and I attempted to tell him that was not possible due to scheduling conflicts (since it was the day of the wedding and there was other set-up dependent on the items from A&R) and he began to argue with us and inform us that we were on his schedule not our own and would just have to wait on them. At that point, my father, who has been a business owner and service manager for 30+ years attempted to interject and suggest some solutions in a polite and respectful way at which point Arthur became extremely disrespectful and dismissive and told us his crew would get to it whenever they could and hung up. Since this was the day before the wedding there was very little we could do. On Saturday (the day of the wedding) the crew arrived without calling to let us know they were there and showed up missing one of the canopies! I will never ever use them again and will not recommend them to anyone.I would however like to make special mention that the only positive to any of this was John, one of the salesman with A&R, who was extremely helpful, respectful and apologetic and did everything in his power to right all of the things that went wrong. I will put it in this review as I told him, in spite of everything wrong about this situation and this company I was grateful to him for trying to help ease the problems that the company as a whole caused.

A & R is a great local rental place. We used them for our wedding and they were amazing when it came to having to completely change the venue and set up two weeks prior. John really knows his stuff, its second nature to him. They go out of their way to really make sure no details are left out. Theyre my go-to whenever I need something for an event.

This was my third time renting some power equipment from A & R Rental Center in York PA and I have to give everyone there a Thumbs-Up! Pick-up and delivery was always on time and the equipment worked as needed. My daughter will be getting married shortly so I will reach out to them for some Wedding and Party Rentals.

I highly recommend this business! I needed a wood chipper to chip a huge pile of branches on my property. I thought a 3 inch chipper would do the job but quickly found out it was not up to the task. I called A & R Rentals in York PA to see if I was doing something wrong and they suggested that for a job that big I should use their self feeding 6 inch chipper and promptly delivered the 6 inch and took back the 3 inch. The 6 inch was a beast and was easy to feed 6 inch logs and huge arms full of small branches at a time. Everyone was extremely helpful and A & E will be my go to Rental store for all my tool and party rentals. Thanks!

We recently rented a photo booth and mini golf activity for a small, outside event. Our guests enjoyed both party activities!

Looks rough on the outside and some of the equipment is aged but they have everything and the prices are some of the best. My go to place for rentals.

I conducted all business remotely, as I was from out of town. I utilized A&R Services for my daughters wedding; which took place at The Ruins at Glen Rock Mill Inn, Glen Rock, Pa. From initial contact and ordering through delivery and pick up, everything was perfect. Friendly efficient service all the way. Thank you!

Rented chairs for my sisters wedding. The kind of chairs I reserved were the less expensive ones; when I went to pick it up, my order was not correct. A and R replaced the rest of the missing chairs with more expensive chairs without any issues. The service was great. I will use them again in the future.

They were prompt and helpful. We had our rentals delivered and then picked up. It made our whole day wonderful and easy.

I ordered the wedding chairs.They were rusted and very dirty. With only a hr left before the wedding, I WISH I wouldnt have picked them up last.I will not be recommending it.
