I attended the parade today and once again GYD delivered a great presentation!!

My family and I have been to numerous GY Dance performances over the years. The Studio does an outstanding job & their dancers have opportunities to perform at all kinds of events from NBA games to local community events. We especially look forward to the GYCDE Nutcracker every December! All their shows are beautifully choreographed and a joy to watch.

My daughter Is now 30 years old and still is enjoying the benefits and friendship from the dance center and the entire staff. Exceptional place for anyone who wants to dance.

My daughter dance with this company since the age of 2.5 years till she graduated. She went on to be a dance instructor.

I always like to watch dancers from Greater York. They always look neat and well put together. They hold themselves like dancers should. They smile and look like they love dancing. Compared to students from many other dance schools, their students are heads above the others! Very professional instruction!

My daughter has grown up here! The directors have created a nurturing, well rounded curriculum emphasizing proper technique and safe training. Their approach encourages personal growth along with expert training. The directors are very well connected to the ballet world and routinely bring in teachers from outside of the area.

This dance company seems to be competitive with other dance companies - to an unhealthy extent. The business competition negatively effects the students and their families. I do not recommend.

Large dance studio. You will not get personal attention at this studio. I took my 13 year old daughter here. Since I have a background in dance I knew a good bit about what my daughter needed. I spoke to the owner to ask about my daughter taking more ballet classes. I was requesting at least one a day. You would think a business person would readily agree to the customer spending more money. I was told my daughter was too old to be starting ballet and I should focus on the recreational aspect.Interestingly enough, I drove out to Carlisle, PA to try take a placement class at Central PA Youth Ballet. Guess who was there with her daughter? The owner of Greater York Dance. That spoke volumes to me!!Three years later my daughter is still at CPYB and can seriously compete for a professional ballet job in the near future. This would not have been the case at Greater York. If you are just looking for a recreational experience and you dont mind no one knowing you childs name, this may fill the bill. I would suggest York Dance Arts for a more intimate recreational experience. And if you think your son or daughter may want to go the professional route go with CPYB. It is best to get proper training from the beginning. They have a location in Camp Hill for the lower levels. You will be able to find someone from York to carpool with.

Greater York Dance is a positive place for families and the best place for dance education in the S. Central PA region.

Not a better dance studio in PA. Technically nowledge of the sport and faculty that cares about their students future more than making a buck.
