Disappointed by this course. Fairways were spotty, rough was unkempt, and the greens were concrete the day after rain. I’d rather play clifton park in Baltimore city for half the price.
Went for the driving range and was not disappointed. Club house is on the smaller side, but very nice.
Old school layout great course to play
Great, challenging course. Beautiful landscape with a helpful, friendly staff.
Excellent course. A little pricier than other area courses, but worth the extra money.
Looking for the menu to Stingers Pub. Cannot find on your website.
Course was packed as the season draws close to an end. The greens were still in terrific shape. A few tee boxes were closed to get them prepared for next season, but overall the course was in good condition.
Terrific course thats in fine shape. 4 tee boxes allow players of every skill level to enjoy the course, the greens are fast but they roll true. Highly recommend!
Have played this course 1000x over the years. Layout is bit older and open but solid. It can be tough if you play back tees, long par 3s but there’s some gettable holes....You come here for the greens. They are large true and fast... about as fast and clean as public greens can get.
Course was in decent shape. However I expected better especially during prime time Saturday. Unfortunately, management here is sub par and not worth your business. There was no respect to us as paying customers and followed us around 15 minutes prior to the course closing as we were finishing hole 17 and forced us to leave without being able to finish.I recommend Briarwood Golf Course a few miles down the road.
Nice greens, fairways need some attention. Strict dress code and must keep pace with other golfers. Overall I think that the price to golf at this course is over the top but the customer service is outstanding.
65$ winter rates, refused service for no mask even after stating I’m legally exempt from not wearing one. Travis Lock then proceeded to ask me which is a direct violation of hippa laws. Also there is a dog freely roaming the kitchen area where food is served. I do not recommend playing here at all as long as Travis Lock is still in charge or under riverwinds ownership.
Even though Honey Run is less than 5 miles from our home, we last played the course in 2018. Heavy rains that year damaged the course severely. After hearing that RJ golf had taken over and made some improvements we decided to give it a try. The layout was the same but the upgrades to the tee boxes(My wife LOVES the ladies senior tees)and the greens made it seem like a new course. The greens are superb and MUCH quicker than I remember. It was a very enjoyable experience for both of us. We will return more often and spread the word to our golfing friends. Now about those pin placements......
Decent layout. Really nice staff. And a bargain for weekday tee times
Great course,,,challenging,,,,good fairways, good teeboxes,,,nice sites through out the course,,,price for a round was decent,,,the staff was awesome,,,the club house was a little small but it was nice. I will definitely do this course again. I came from Philly to try the course,, took me 2 hours to get there but I will do it again.
Formerly a very challenging, long course for seniors. They recently renovated and added more tee boxes that accommodate a number of teeing options. Much more playable at all levels. Course design has a number of unique holes, with a fair number of hidden pins on the approach. Recommended but caveat that the course drains poorly compared to nearby tracts, so beware even days after heavy rains. Decent value, staff a bit standoffish, nice 19th hole. Range is meh..
The scenery around the golf course is beautiful.Course fairway greens are in very good condition.
Course was in excellent condition for this time of year. Pace of play - 5 hours. Painful.
Was escorted off the course on hole 17. Then was told it was my fault I booked such a late T time... (4:18 pm). I paid to play 18 holes and was only allowed 16 1/2, yes I was kicked off mid hole. Just leave paying customers alone or they will not return. Lots of other courses in York.
Course was in great shape.
I called for assistance with a gift card.Tyler was consciously mannered and helpful. If the recipient of the voucher has a similar experience, I would multiply the rating.Thank you!
Excellent course and conditions. Fairways and greens are in great condition and the new leveled tees is a big plus this year.
One of my favorite courses in the area, but it shouldnt take 2.75 hours to play 9 holes! Pace of play has been horrible my past two times here...
Great course. I like it every time I play there. Friendly people.
Maybe the best course in york and Lancaster counties. Each hole is its own and secluded. Your not seeing other golfers or going into other fairways. Lots of trees but plenty of room to stay out of them. Sand traps are in abundance in fairways and around every green. Water comes into play on some holes. Distance is not short but it is fair. Many dog legs and elevation changes. Greens are in good shape and roll true. It is the perfect all around course. Very challenging and yet fair. It is a very tough course when the conditions are bad. I highly recommend this course. Take time and appreciate what it has to offer.
Nice course and well kept but its super expensive.
Well maintained course with beautiful greens! Enjoyed a great Fathers Day round
The course is in great shape! We played Sunday afternoon at 2 and the course was packed. The only issues I have are the price, if you dont book through an online site expect to pay $48 and the Rangers can sometimes be pushy. Always pleased with the service. Nice place to play!
The golf course in great. In playing the course last week I did not see the fairways or greens burnt out at all. The grass was cut and the roughs were as well. I enjoyed it so much I am taking my golfing friends to it tomorrow to enjoy it as well. Personnel are great and they are proud of the course as well. Great place.
Every thing. Good
Course is in amazing shape! Just sad when youre one golfer and there are groups of four ahead of you and wont let you play through. Not the courses fault but just bad golf etiquette.
HORRIBLE, I cannot express that loud enough!!! I am from York PA, but the ladies golf group I golfed with was from Maryland, so they travel a good distance to get to Honey Run. The golf group had a contract from last year to have a shot gun start so that we could all come off the course at the same time to meet and dine. It was more than 30 golfers. The management (staff) at Honey Run decided to change the format had us all go off from hole 1. Then after we told them a piece of our minds they generously (in my sarcastic voice) gave us another hole to go off on. Now the real fun begins...the rangers tried to rush us and we dont golf at a slow pace. Well after speaking to my husband who is in a large golf group (over 80 men) I found out they were treated the same way just 2 weeks before. Both groups are majority African American groups... DO YOU SEE A PATTERN!!!! It was very embarrassing t being from the York area, that this keeps happening. These racist people need to get over themselves and figure out that all money spends the same way. And they will not receive any more of my African American Money!!! They charged us $46.00 per person and my husbands group $49.00 per person to be treated like nothing!!!
New trees are awesome! Best golf course in the area, by far!
Good place fairways and greens in great shape
Very nice. It was very wet this year. Would like to go back under drier conditions. Fun layout.
Interesting layout and well maintained.
Greens were just aerated and pro shop did not inform us when making tee time
One of the most beautiful courses I have played here in Pennsylvania! Great customer service and the course is in amazing shape!
Ok guys..Whats going on with the Greens? We all understand that the greens must be aerated each season...But....The holes were never completely filled in with sand, and from what we hear, that is just the way it will be? Come on...Fill the holes up and get the greens back to the fantastic condition that always existed.
Our foursome played here on 9/6/15 and teed off at 8:32 a.m. The staff was friendly and the course was in very good condition. We especially enjoyed the greens, they rolled well and were quite quick as opposed to many courses in the area. The only issue was the time it took to play, we waited on approx 95% of our shots and took 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete our round. We were right on the heels of the group in front of us, who were on the heels of the group in front of them, etc.We did see a ranger a few times on the course, but apparently the rangers were doing little to speed the pace of play with the groups in front of us.We would like to play the course again because of its condition and layout, but are hesitant because of the extremely slow pace of play and apparent lack of enforcement of pace of play by the rangers or maybe its course policy to allow slow play?
Great course in very nice condition considering the most recent weather. Love the snack bar and fully stocked bar
One of my favorite courses. Great layout, lots of elevation changes, doglegs right and left, very memorable. Excellent course conditions, good staff, great value.
Course was nice staff were rude rushed us the entire time and followed us around. You can only go as fast as the people ahead of you...
Very nice course and in great condition for mid-October. Good challenge for recreational players and Seniors. Overall excellent value!
I want to thank Honey Run for helping us have a successful golf outing yesterday we should have close to $3,000 for Four Diamonds and Olivias House
Course/area has had a ton of rain and with the water running through the course it has a ton of ground under repair. Greens were great, but most fairways need to be played as lift clean replace.
Awesome golf course. Really hard greens to putt on. Tough
Excellent course that is well maintained. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Recommended!
Clubhouse is nice, course was in great shape even though it was the middle of a heat wave, rates were great and staff was incredibly friendly...no negatives here, just the best value for golf in the area!
Very nice course i was there when they aerated the front 9 so i only played the back 9 and it was great, wish i coulda played it all.... very friendly staff
Our August 11, 2013 golf outing was ruined by the ineptitude of the management of the golf course. I belong to a visiting/traveling golf club. We go to different courses each month for the challenge and love of the game of golf. It is usually a group of 20 - 30 golfers. All arrangements are made well in advance, usually about 8 months. A rough calculation suggests that we brought in minimally $1,104 in fees for a 4-5 hour outing. There were 24 golfers present. Management put other golfers on the course while we waited over 45 minutes for our pre-arranged modified shotgun scheduled tee time. The on-course marshalls/rangers were overly attentive. Customer service and professionalism was totally lacking.
I like to play this links course. Wish they accepted Capitol Region card like the other courses in the area. Would play more often.
My favorite golf course in York. Well kept, challenging holes.
The course is always over booked. 5 1/2 hour rounds. Play in a Sunday group. Going to recommend to remove this course.
Deceptively challenging golf course that is in great condition.
Great public course, greens usually fast. Service is below par.
It was a great place, very helpful and fun
Course is beautiful!
Love the course but slow play is doing damage to the course ratings.
Great course
Course was in good shape, considering with the rain lately
