Being new to the area and needing new tires, I looked for a smaller shop instead of one of the big ones. Elmo’s did not disappoint. The service was amazing, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and they had my car done in no time . I was very happy with the prices also. I would definitely recommend Elmo’s!!!

Very disappointed!!! I bought 4 tires June 9, last year. My boyfriend noticed that one of the tires had 2 cracks on the side wall. I took the car up there on Tuesday. My boyfriend had both cracks marked. Sue looked at it and said it was, just about anything, but a crack!!! I returned Wednesday, asking Tony to look at the cracks! He also dismissed the cracks!! I told him that I didnt feel safe, so $112.00 was spent on a new tire. Wednesday my boyfriend took the tire back up. The cracks are even easier to see, now since off the car!!! You could put your fingernail in the crack, feathering was also present!!! Tony just kept smiling and reassuring us that it WASNT A CRACK, IT WAS!!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!WOMEN BEWARE!!!! He appears SOOOO TRUSTING, BUT IS NOT!!!!!

Exceptional service! I came in for a front end alignment and soon realized my vehicle needed a left front wheel bearing replacement. Tony explained everything in detail and how this could become a safety issue if not fixed ASAP. Was hearing a humming noise when driving down the road but assumed it was road noise. They repaired the wheel bearing and then completed the alignment. Tony also explained the alignment specs and how the broken wheel bearing was affecting my alignment and tires, both on paper and when driving. Tony and Susan could not have been any nicer! Everyone who walks through the door is treated like family. Would highly recommend Elmo Tire!!!

Elmo’s goes above and beyond to meet any needs within there power. I’m 31 years old and I’ve been going there ever since I was 16. This place will get you in and out. All of there parts are very reasonably priced. Tony and his staff are honest and very knowledgeable, will even bring you into the shop to show you on your car why they are telling you a part is bad or going bad. They will never try to sell you something you don’t need for your car. I just had them do a big front end job for my car and they did an amazing job on it and got it done quick, it feels like a new car again. I moved an hour away and I still drive back to Elmo’s for ANY service including routine oil changes. This family owned business has always been well-known in the Youngstown area and definitely lives up to the name, almost 100 years of service says it all. Went to Elmo Tire since they had the highest google rating and I wanted my money to go to family owned business. Their high rating doesnt lie! I asked for a more expensive tire option and Tony suggested a similar-performing, more cost-effective tire. They charged the price he quoted (even cheaper by a few cents!) and did a great job. They even got me in the next day! My car feels brand new again. It seemed like a lot of their customers have been going here for many years. Great and trustworthy family, service, and prices. Will be returning to Elmo Tire for all future tire purchases as long as I live in the area!

Family owned, trustworthy and competent. This is where you want to get tires. They take extra steps to mount new tires to your rims. No up-selling, but will check your car and make recommendations. Run a tight ship, but they will do their best to make you feel welcome.

I brought my car in for a front-end alignment and a 4-wheel balance. When I was called out into the service area, I was shown that the alignment cannot be performed due to a leaking rear strut. Also, the tires could not be balanced due to the fact that they were out of round. No problem, I thought, since the tires are 21 years old. I am glad they did not charge me for unnecessary services that would not fix my problems because after the repairs (struts and new tires), I would just end up needing a balance and alignment again. So, they only charged me $20.00 for checking the car out. However, when I inquired about the strut replacement, I was quoted an unbelievably high price of $550.00 for just one (which included an alignment)! I later called the business asking if I brought them the parts, if the could to the install. Sure, they said, and the labor would be $100 per side. That doesnt make sense because those cannot be $410.00 struts! I will attempt to repair myself because its only 3 nuts/bolts and should only take 45 minutes per side. Either that or I may go elsewhere for the job, but I dont mind them doing the alignment. Prices for tires seem high. I can order a set off the internet and have installed cheaper elsewhere.Update: In response to the reply below, those struts I was quoted the price for must be made out of gold, because I looked all over and could not find any even half that price at the most. I will not pay such a ridiculous amount. I am sorry.

I actually trust the people here, which is rare for any place that works on cars and such a huge relief. The people are friendly and they care about customer service. The prices are good, too.
