Love this store! Large selection of ribbons to help me make my flip flops!

I have shopped many years at this company between here and Atlanta. Today, the store in Boardman, with their lovely rude and obnoxious customer service, helped me realize I should probably give my business to someone else. So, I did...This was not the first time I had a less than happy experience at this location, but it was definitely the worst. Ive always had great experiences at any of the other stores across the states.. I might shop Joanns again at some point, but I will NEVER step foot back in to the Boardman location. If you hate your job that much, maybe you should quit???

As someone who is an avid crocheter, this is my second favorite place to get yarn. The store is very clean, organized, and well priced. I will say that their accessibility carts are really annoying. They have two types here- push and electric. The electric is too wide for most aisles, so when I have someone with me, I tend to use the push ones, but those have a really annoying locking system that is hard for my companion to use. But, as for the store itself, I really enjoy the store.

The new location is big and bright. Its so nice to be able to color match fabrics under bright white light instead of those awful yellow ones in the old place. The staff are super friendly and quick to wait on you. They have always been courteous and helpful when I shop there. The selection and the variety of fabrics is fantastic. I would definitely go to this JoAnn over other area stores.

Their coupons are a gimic. I spent the same amount of money with the $10 off coupon as I would have if it had not been subtracted. Thats just stupid.

Could NOT believe the enormous selection they had! Will definitely be planning more trips to this area.

The joann that is close to my house is so small and cramped. This one is huge and so many more choices. Everyone was friendly and it was easy to stay socially distanced. Bought way more than I was going to because of everything they had there I couldnt help it.

Looking for plastic canvas precut items. Not much of a selection. You dont have any plastic canvas pattern books. Very little selection in embroidery dresser scarfs, no table clothes. Please order from Hershners. They have great selections for you.

JOANN Fabrics is a great place to shop for all your crafting needs. I get most of my yarn from JOANNS as they have fair places. Theyre cheaper then Miceals but not cheaper than Walmart if they carry what you need. Check it out if you get a chance.

Best joann around, I drive 10 minutes further from my house to go to this one over the closer one every time because they always have a great selection and the things Im looking for are always in stock!

This is a pretty nice store. It has a different selection of stuff than the Niles store so I sometimes shop both.

Service was excellent! Big section of luxe flannel but couldnt find any camo luxe which our friend had asked. Lots of terrific sales and great coupons!

Its been a long time since Ive been there but I really enjoyed my shopping experience. They have a large variety of fabrics and crafting items. I was interested in the crafting aspect of the store. As a beginner I wanted small sets to work with so I can see if its something I want to pursue. I ended up getting polymer clay that you bake, acrylic paints & a brush, a shrink plastic set, modge podge, glitter, mini bottle charms, and I even got a few things for my son. Some things were a little pricey but thats to be expected. The only thing I could not find was UV resin, but Im not sure if I would have wanted to spend the money on it or not...so that was okay. All in all, I was really happy with my visit and my purchases. Plus I got some coupons with my receipt so I might go up sometime this week and buy a mold for the clay. 😊

My first time there, and my experience was wonderful! I found a large bow for a gift and it was only 3.20 cents! The woman that checked me out was an elderly woman who had to sit down the whole time. She was absolutely wonderful! So sweet. More people should have her disposition. Just the way she treated me makes me want to go back!!

I love this store. They always have everything I need for my projects....however, I can only give 4 stars because they are running a skeleton crew. As much as I appreciate the 60% off coupons if makes me wonder why. The store is always crowded so why so short of staff. The fabric cutting table always has long lines of upset customers and if you need help on the floor, you cannot find an employee. You must bother a cashier to ask where an item is that you cannot locate. I really hope this not a sign of a future closing. They are always busy, and run great ads and have everything for crocheting & sewing. You just cant touch fabric when trying to buy it online. Some things one needs to buy locally. I hope they hire at least one floor person to go wherever when needed. Thats the only adjustment I can see that would make it a 5 star review.

Customer service was lackluster at best. Possibly not the employees fault, but even when I got to to the fabric counter, the lady barked at me that I had to stand behind the green line. She barked at the lady in line behind me as well, that she needed to stand at the entrance of the line.This stand here, stay 6 feet apart is still new to a lot of us. She could have been kinder but she wasnt. She may be over worked, under appreciated, I dont know.

I was looking for 15 ft of clear plastic for a very large cedar table I have. And JoAnn Fabrics had a huge rolls of it which was 54 wide 12guage thickness. The lovely young lady with bright orange hair who helped me also told me about the 40% off coupon on the website which I was delighted about. Thank you!

It is still nice, but no longer my favorite craft store. When they relocated from by the mall my favorite departments - scrapbooking, kid crafts, baking - seem to have been downsized in favor of yarn and fabric. I know those items are important to crafters also, but I rarely need them. One extreme positive is the restroom. The bathroom in the previous store was always gross and smelly and so far the new location restrooms seem great.

Found spray paint for fabric in the exact color that I need. No one else had it! A clerk helped me to download the app to my phone...and there was a 50% off coupon. Hooray! Very helpful! If you need...theyve got it!

My husband loves to sew (lucky me) shops here for supplies.I have always wanted to learn knitting and crochet, happily discovered this location has classes.The staff is very friendly and helpful. Very clean however cold store, take a sweater.I hope to try other crafts.Kids Classes too.

Visited the store to look for a craft related project for my niece and found several great options. Everything was nicely priced and they had great coupons which added to my savings. I will definitely visit the store again. Love the new location in the Shops at Boardman Park.

Today is April 15, and we’ve been in this pandemic for a while now. I work at a hospital in Cleveland, 10 hrs a day, screening people coming into the hospital for fevers, and also helping woman with breast issues (I’m a mammographer).On my day off (I have little time for myself) I come to JoAnn’s to get material to make masks for my fellow coworkers, this is my second trip here in 2 weeks. The women here are NOT very nice at all. “None” of them smile or are concerned for your needs, they are short and curt when talking to you. I wonder if they know how good they have it? They are helping others who are helping others and I’m glad they were open so I could make masks for others.Maybe if they had to work 10hrs a day at a hospital in Cuyahoga county (where most of the virus is) they would have something to be unhappy about. I’ll gladly shop at Michael’s or another store, and from now on I will.

Nice fabric selection but expensive

I have made almost 400 masks in 1 month.. I have spent hundreds of dollars at Joanns and waited patiently for them to get my orders completed. I got a rude call this am stating an order from the 16th had to be picked up today or they would put it back. They are supposed to give you 6 full days to pick up. I called them back to explain I was waiting for my other orders to be completed and I would be there Friday am at opening. They were rude and talked over me and didnt listen at all. And said if I wasnt there by close Thursday the would put back my order. I told them to cancel all my orders and that I would never shop there again. Ignorant. And the store advertising caring about mask making. I reported them to corporate. Btw today is the 20th,the order wasnt finished til the 16th at noon.

First time I have been to the new location. I was greeted by a nice young man who gave me directions to the location of specific material I was looking for. Organized, welcoming staff, sales on what I needed. Great store.

I go in there an ask the cashier for the isle where iron on patches are an she says somewhere in the kids crafts .....why dont you know? You work here not me! An they have nothing!!! Why am I even here?

Everytime I come here, I get angry. The staff is fine, but the store never has what I need and the sales arent as good as they seem. I keep trying to like the new location, but the downsizing really took a toll.Edit: still angry. I asked for knits, was directed to cotton. When I told the associate that this was not what I wanted, I was told this was what they carry. When I finally found a printed cotton I could use for a different project, they refused to straighten the edge, which had a nearly 2 inch crescent missing. I had to pay for 20 inches to get 18 usable ones. Im done with that garbage. Ill just shop at Hobby Lobby from now on.

I didnt find the blue cording I needed, but I was greeted at the door with a smile and helpful attitude. She was even willing to give me ideas of where to find what I needed elsewhere.

We were there for over two hours and was able to find it several items that I needed! Didnt realize that I was there so long. Was asked if I was finding what I needed; even received a coupon!

Even though the old store was big the new JoAnn seems to carry more fabrics. There are so many things to look at and see. The coupons always help too. Download before a trip to the store or while in line to check out

The new store in Boardman, Ohio was very disappointing. So few items to purchase. I understand it a fabric store but it is use to have crafts and much more. A rating of 1 is a stretch but that was the only choice 0 would be more accurate

This is the newest JoAnn Fabrics in our area and I had been so looking forward to shopping here. One salesperson was kind and polite when I asked her a question in the aisles. Check out was terrible. The clerk was rude about the coupons, impatient, acted like she had never seen a cash payment. As I counted out change, she was wiggling her fingers. Seriously? Did not thank me for my purchase. I could be treated like that at Walmart and save $$. The aisles are too narrow for a pleasant shopping be experience. Folks constantly needed to pass and unaware of those around them The positive is the selection of items. The store is clean. Customer service training, general courtesy especially, is needed. We can spend $63.85 elsewhere.
