I purchased a chain link fence. They did a great job and it was cost effective.

They installed a chainlink fence to our front yard that looked really good. A few months later we decided to have the backyard fenced as well because of our dogs. Owner after numerous calls came out and quoted and I agreed and he never contacted me back for a date. After multiple calls asking why he was not setting up a date and not calling me back was very rude . I think that is very unprofessional since I was a previous customer I would give him 5 stars for the front fence and NO STARS for the non response making it 2 stars.

AF was a pleasure to deal with for the purchase of our fence project.The salesmen inside were helpful, professional, and friendly. Yes, there may be a wait time for materials, but it is most certainly due to this wonderful pandemic. I felt they were doing their best to get our fencing materials as quickly as conditions allow.

Well, this was my experience.I wanted a driveway gate & electric openerCouldn’t get anyone to come look at my property & the owner (Bernie), couldn’t be bothered to ever call me back.So they did nothing. Not even deserving of a 1 star.

Well, I spoke with a representative to schedule an estimate for a chain link fence for the property weve purchased in North Jackson. I explained that wed be driving from Arizona and would only be in town for 1 week in order to get estimates and have the fence installed prior to our complete move to Ohio. We scheduled for 10am on the Monday after we arrived at 10am. Unfortunately, my phone stayed on AZ time causing the appointment to appear to beat 1pm PST rather than the 10am EST, this caused me to be late for the appointment by about 20 minutes due to a run to the grocery store.When we returned, we did find a notice on our door that we missed the appointment and then realized the time zone issue and immediately called to apologize and reschedule. When I called,the person who answered was pleasant and asked someone (who I can only assume was a manager/owner) about rescheduling. I overheard the response and was a bit taken aback. The person then came back on the phone and said hed get back to me after a discussion with the other person. I agreed.After waiting about an hour with no return call, I called back to see about rescheduling whereas I was told the discussion hadnt happened yet. After some additional time went by, we went out to explore the area and stumbled across their actual showroom, so I stopped in. Again, I was greeted by a pleasant man and I introduced myself and asked for a status of the rescheduling. He then walked to another room and asked the other person what he should tell me... then silence. After about 10-15 minutes another man came from the room with hands on hips and proceeded to tell me the he was doing me a favor with a Monday appointment because he doesnt do Monday appointments. I apologized for missing the appointment and explained the confusion, he didnt care and became somewhat rude and combative just repeating how he did me a favor. I asked about rescheduling for another day the same week and he again repeated the he did me a favor already and that he wouldnt be able to get out for an estimate for at least 3 weeks. I declined and told him I was happy for him to be able to turn down an almost guaranteed contract. I ended up getting another quote from a different contractor and awarded them the work.Would I recommend Austintown Fence? Unfortunately, no. The managers attitude, demeanor, and overall tone was unacceptable, but as poetic justice - he missed out on a 1236 linear chain link fence installation. I did give 2 stars based on the original Monday appointment, without it - 1 star would have been given due to how I was treated.

They put my fence in earlier then it should have. They were very nice guys!! They did an excellent job!!

Austintown Fence was great to deal with. They quickly set up an appointment for surveying of the fence. Once surveyed they remained communicative in relaying installation timing and were considerate with when payments were due. Great quality and fast installation, would highly recommend!👍

Read some pretty severe criticism of the owner but decided to go ahead with an order because I want to patronize local small businesses. So far, weve had fairly good communication and cooperation. Our fence is going in this week. So far, so good.

They are honest and friendly and carry a quilty product whenever we need to get materials for our job sites.

They Came out measured and gave me an astronomical price. When asked if I could purchase the material they said no problem. They had the material cost but wasn’t sure what material they included in the price, I’ve been waiting for almost 2 weeks to get this information, if you ask me it seems they threw random numbers together to come up with a price. I don’t recommend them.

I have shopped this place for years. Nothing but the best of help, the smartest of ways to fix things and great product. The owner and his wife treat with a hello, and are quick to help. Tom, has helped me out a lot with products, repair and how to videos, in person. The lock for the gate still was the best idea yet. Thanks

Great service and prices

The fencing (black/coated) blends in nicely. Have problems with 2 of our bulldozer dogs that can plow right under. Heading to Tractor Supply for a cattle panel to cut/weave thru bottom of chainlink drive into ground, test. A-town fence did come out, we got a few hoops of wire, which I couldve Macgyverd myself, for crissakes. At least they tried.5⭐ for look/quality of fence and installation in less than perfect weather.2⭐ Called 3 times, regarding checking gaps and how we can fix: suggestions/etc. Came out. No knock, no call. Brother was home. Just happened to hear truck door/employee pulling out of driveway. Only complaint is, as a customer, falling on deaf ears. 3 wks went by, then had to call back.4⭐ Even neighbors gave kudos/ commented, the black fence was unobtrusive and looked like it had always been there.So, gonna get a test panel and D-I, WHY?, Cut, Grind, Weave/Drive.Oh LOOK! My new MANTRA (CLAIMING IT!)

Would not set an appointment for an estimate even if it was weeks or a month out. Not taking a number for call back... I was told to call back in a few weeks.

Fencing looks good. Service & a fast install

Estimator showed up an hour earlier than the appointment. I was not home, but security cameras caught him there. Called owner who was very rude and I asked for my appointment to be honored so I could be there to let them know where the fence needs to go. Owner stated that was not necessary but told me to go someplace else. Not smart people!!

Great quality fencing and perfect service.. Worth every penny

The room over a month to come out caps on my posts. During that month I called them every week, sometimes multiple times in a week, still took them over a month. I never got the quote for the other portion of my home. The used my water faucet in the back of the house and for got to turn it all the way off so when the pipe unthawed my water just ran until I saw it and shut it off! The wood they gave me wasn’t treated (my fault, I should have asked). The job was done quickly (the was a plus). My neighbors gave me a hard time about making sure I wasn’t over the property line & when austintown fence got word of that, they came back and pulled the posts out so they wouldn’t settle and then have to charge me more to move them, which I was very thankful for.
