We called and made an appointment on a Wednesday to have our garage looked at and repaired. We made an appointment for Friday after 3pm, as the secretary told us this would be an okay time. We were not available Thursday when they called and asked us if they could come out. It was confirmed a second time that they would be here after 3pm Friday. Come Friday morning my boyfriend gets a call on his way to work at 7:10am asking if anyone would be there that morning. He said no, and reminded the guy that we had an appointment for 3pm or after. The guys direct quote “well if we are in the area we will stop by”. It is 3:55 and no one has called us or came over. I call the office and get the voice mail. This was the most unprofessional experience and I will never recommend this company and we will be taking out business elsewhere.*edit: I read your response, if we made an appointment for Friday, why would you think to come out on Thursday? I was present for that entire phone conversation and the appointment was confirmed for Friday after 3. It was stated during the call that if both of us were able to be here Thursday we would. He gets a call Thursday and we telling him we are taking care of something and won’t be out there, however my boyfriend offered to drop what we were doing and home to be there but was declined. And then, to get a call at 7am saying “if we are in the area we will stop by” you should be in the area. I do not appreciate you twisting the details to suit you. We had an appointment for Friday, not Thursday. I will not be rescheduling with you as we found a more professional company to work with.

The overall experience was fantastic. The quote was quick and accurate. And the install was wonderful.Bill the installer did a great job. He kept me updated on his progress throughout the install. I would highly recommend Great Garage Doors.

Mike and Ted did a excellent job of replacing my my garage door opener that was damaged by a lightning strike. It was on a 22 x 10 overhead door on my shop. They replaced a medium duty commercial Lift Master 1150 door opener which is an excellent choice. They were able to replace it within a week of me okaying the work when the other major door company in Youngstown area quoted me additional $145.00 and told me it would most likely be a month before they could do the work which was unacceptable.Great friendly service.N.Betts

The confusion over appointment times and calls confirming were not up to par but the actual service provided was excellent. The gentleman was considerate, well informed and professional.

Ed was very professional, prompt, and courteous with the entire service. He came to the house and instantly knew the issue. He came back with the part the next day and fixed our door in 20 minutes for a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this company for your garage door needs.

Poor customer service dealing with Patty who reports being the office manager. We called to have our garage door repaired and were informed by Patty that she could not give us a time, but someone would be out the same day to repair. Several hours go by and it is close to closing time and we call again to confirm that someone would be coming as we have now been sitting at home waiting for 7 hours for someone to come. We were rudely told that hes planning on coming. Again no time confirmation. We waited at our home until 8:00 pm and never had contact. This morning we called to inquire why we never heard from anyone. Again, Miss rude Patty informed me that her repair guy had been trying to reach us yesterday and today. Patty said she wrote our number down incorrectly. That was all she said. Never apologized for any inconvenience and was completely rude the whole process as if we were a complete inconvenience to her. I would not recommend this place completely based on the customer service thanks to Patty. We called a competitor and they were here in 2 hours and had wonderful and pleasant customer service.

The best customer service ever!!! A few times I was stuck! I could not open my garage door (I know I will will need a replacement whole door soon) and they have rescued me within 24 hours or sooner each time. My dad bought from them originally and I will never use another company. I heard the owner on the phone this morning after he heard my urgent voice message. He made sure the driver took care of me TODAY!! The best customer service ever!!!! Thank you. I have been bragging about your company all day. You really are GREAT!

Bought our original garage door from you when we built our house almost 30 years ago. Weve had service done in the past with no issues. Our opener went (motherboard) and my husband called to get a price on a new opener, which he planned to install. Was given a price and when he came down to your shop to get one, he was told you didnt sell to public, only if you were installing. He was not told that when he called. Needless to say you lost a customer. He went to omega garage door and they sold him a new opener.

While teaching my 16 year old daughter how to drive, she absent mindedly backed into our garage door, mangling 2 of the 3 panels beyond recognition.I called Great Garage Doors of Youngstown after checking out their website and videos. They were so incredibly friendly! I explained the situation and that same day (probably only within a couple hours from placing the call) I had a technician at my home to give me an estimate and explain my options.As any homeowner has the right to, I asked plenty of questions about warranty issues, life expectancy of their products, etc., and their technician was happy to provide me with answers to every single question. I decided to go with a new garage door with an automatic opener and everything, I got a great deal on it. My husband now jokes with me and my daughter that I was probably the one who really broke the garage door so I could get a new one.Wonderful people and wonderful service, I can see why they have been in business for over 25 years.
