Great authentic food - a hidden gem. Some of the most authentic Greek / Mediterranean food Ive had. Everything was good. The kabob portion was enormous. Kabob was delicious, some of it was a tiny bit dry, I would probably go for the shaved meat next time around. The hookah lounge is separated from the eating area.
Based on the recommendation of a friend, my son and I had lunch at The Yucca Kabob. We were not disappointed. In fact, we will be eating there more often. The portions were not skimpy. I ate over half, and still had enough left to fill a to-go container. Two people could have easily shared this meal. I had the Chicken Kabob plate. My favorite part was the hummus and fresh made pita bread. Best Hummus in the Hi-desert. It was so good, I ordered a container to go. The price for the food and drink was about $15.00 a piece. Well worth it.
The food is FANTASTIC. I have tried the beef plate, the chicken plate, the Oozy plate and the lemon lentil soup, all of them were delicious and authentic. And if you have a kid not willing to try new things the hamburger is great too, my kid says the French fries are her favorite in town.Ten stars on the food.
One of the best Mediterranean food in the entire California that I have tasted. I didn’t know it would be in this valley. Food is so fresh and the service is so efficient. Amazing taste. If you are in the Yucca valley to visit Joshua Tree national park or for other purpose do not miss to stop here.
Great food a bit pricey but best Mediterranean food in town. Wish they had warm fresh bread.
Had the chicken skewer plate - absolutely amazing ! Highly recommend eating here. Friendly staff.
Highly recommend. Food was very fresh, well made and delicious. Portions were also generous.
Great middle eastern food for a decent price. Excellent service.Do not miss the opportunity to stop and try these delicious treats.
Delish!! Left Big Bear Lake in a hurry, flash downpour, en route to Palm Springs and were SO hungry. Wanted something quick but not “fast food”. Saw this place had a high rating, super reviews and right on our route. Placed our order for two pita wraps online. Got there before they were ready and was salivating over the smells while waiting to eat. My husband and I devoured our food in our van and couldn’t have been happier!! Will make this a regular stop when traveling from Palm Springs up to Big Bear Lake. Friendly staff, great value and taste.
This place is amazing! You may have too wait 15 or 20 minutes for your food if you just walk in and order, but its always worth the wait . You can always call in your order ahead of time so you dont have too wait at all. If you want some awesome kebobs and hummus this is the only place too go out here in the high desert.
Great food!!Love the Chicken Shawarma. Its been my plate of choice for a while. Also the cucumber yogurt is great too.
Middle Eastern RestaurantJoshua Hookah Lounge57345 Twentynine Palms Highway, Yucca Valley, CA 92284Had lunch here today and I just love everything about this place except two things. This place is located beside Chase bank. Their menu is nice a page long and it seems that they are serving fresh food every time.My food was seasoned perfectly and the hummus is authentic. Nothing feels like it was frozen at all. My only concern is that when a lady came in? She took over, who I am guessing is the owner. She doesnt look at me nor she smiles. Its kind of a downer moment. I only tip good when the combo of customer service and food combine is awesome.I would still recommend this place though. They are just a little bit pricey ($$) but the explosion of flavor in your mouth is so worth it. I would come back when I get another craving of middle eastern food.
A bit pricey for dinner but very good,,,lunch rocks,,,Real good Greek foodShwrama @👍👍
Great food nice in house dining and nice people working here! I recommend the Kafka beef or chicken shawarma and lentil soup with a side of falafel and hummus!
This place was nothing short of amazing!!! The food was soooooo good!!! I had the Chicken Shawarmas! Everything was delicious!! We came from Chicago to visit and I’m so happy we picked this place to have dinner. The customer service was also A+++++++++ which I loved!
We placed our order through Uber eats for pickup as we were reaching Joshua Tree. We were super hungry and were looking forward to wholesome meal of Falafels and shawarma. However even after placing our order 30 mins before reaching the place we had to wait additional 30 mins at the place to get our order :( Imagine this wait after driving straight for 4 hours at 12:30 pm...Food was great though! Quantity was generous and it tasted really good.
I just love this place. The family that owns it is the best. Their food is always on point. They are fast. Never tried the hookah but cant go wrong with any of the food. My favorite thing is that they put sumac on a lot of their dishes and its delicious.
The food there is always great! Best in town.
My friends and I tried Yucca Kabob for the first time on April 17, 2021. Indoor dining was open and not crowded. Best of all the food and service here were great! I was pleased a Vegetarian Plate was available on the menu. I would definitely return here again in the future. Thanks, Yucca Kabob!
Visiting the area with family a couple of weeks ago. Decided to give this place a go. Interior is humble but the food is really good. Had the Chicken Shawarma - Hummus, Salad, Rice, Pita Bread, Garlic Sauce. Recommended trying it out. But no hookah for me...
Delicious great quality food.a gem of a restaurant in the hi desert! Run dont walk!
This was an amazingly tasty & healing food experience. I was rolling my eyes and going aaahhhhhhh the whole time lolol. Maybe because I was hungry too, but OMG, is it all you can think of, and more.Local staple, my gf brought me here and I can see why.Very accessible location right off the main road, very easy to spot and huge amount of parking.Family owned, food is fresh every day. Believe those awards on the wall, they do it like they mean it!My gf and I had the Chicken Kabab and our friend Lyz had the Gyro one, and a Shanina drink. We all were dying, it was soooo good.I will never forget it, they made our day. We were transitting thru from LA, so tired and hungry. The family was absolutely adorable, they are very sweet people, this place is a full package: great people, great food, great location!Give Sereen a big tip, or whoever is serving you, they deserve it, lets make sure they stay forever, they r a treasure here!
I was born and raised in Dubai so trust me, I know my Mediterranean food. The food is delicious! The guys who work here are always friendly and my husband and I have come here multiple times, ordered take out even more and even gotten friends here when they come to visit us in this cute little town. This is probably the only place other than Aki sushi and the pho place next to it that we always order from. I don’t even have photos to show you because it was so delicious everytime that I never wait to take photos. We always get chicken shawarma or chicken kabob platter (hubby’s fav), the portions are also enormous! The falafels are crispy and authentic as well. Babaganoush and hummus are fantastic if you have a group and would like to share appetizers.
Portion size is gigantic! Food is generally on the salty side for my taste.
This is hands down the best food near Joshua Tree. We stayed in the area for 3 weeks and probably ate here 5 times during our stay! The food is delicious 🤤
Get here! My wife and I each had the Chicken Shwarma Platter, it was one of the best Middle Eastern meals we have ever experienced. Large portions and fresh tasting ingredients. The meal was perfect. The place is hard to find but its near an AllState sign. Its small and not very crowded, but very worth coming.
Talk about tasty. The food is high quality and fantastic. This is a true gem to the Joshua Tree area. We highly recommend to everyone. We will be eating here EVERY time we come into town. Already looking forward to our next visit!
I was looking forward to eating middle eastern food, Yucca Valley doesnt have a lot of choices like this. So I went with some friends and the staff said it would be an hour before we got our food. I would never wait that long but I was outvoted. So we took turns ordering at the front counter and went to the back patio and waited. The one heat lamp they have was broken. My friends all got their food at different times and I patiently waited and waited then I asked if mine was coming out cause my friends were either done eating or close to it, apparently my order disappeared into thin air. At least I got my money back. The staff is nice and I would be willing to try to eat there again. I would order online though.
Wish it had more variety of Middle-eastern food, because with what they have so far, they do an amazing job, would highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.
Im am very picky middle eastern kabob eater. 🤪I have to tell you I was so happy I found this gem in the middlemof the desert. I tried the beef kabob and Baba Ganoush..such tender tasting kabob!! Overnexceeded my expectations.. love the rice and Humus!! yummy! Great service & clean. Tony was very welcoming.
After all the great reviews on this place I figured I had to give it a try, after all I love kebab and small middle eastern places. My wife and I waited five minutes just for the server to take his headphones out long enough to seat us in a nearly empty restraunt despite dirty tables and abandoned half eaten food galore. We sat looking at our menus for twenty minutes before we decided that it was not worth waiting another who knows how long amount of time in a ridiculously hot restraunt for WAY overpriced food. Sorry, I really wanted to try this place and like it but hopefully Ill find more middle eastern places out here to eat at.
This place was super convenient and really good for along our way to Joshua tree! I really appreciated that the hookah is separate from the restaurant as well for those who don’t want to be around hookah. The portions were huge for very reasonable prices and the service was good. It’s a pretty small place but good food and would go back again.
Fantastic always eat here yummy 😋
Don’t let the “and hookah” throw you off. This is an AMAZING restaurant. I stumbled on it in my google searches because I was too lazy to cook and hadn’t tried it before. It’s now become my favorite go-to place. I’ve traveled through the Middle East a lot and had a really hard time finding places that can recreate the flavors....these guys got it! And their hummus, so hard to find such authentic hummus in the US. And the cucumber yogurt. OMG. Yum yum yum. Could eat here literally every day. Go, you will absolutely not be disappointed.
The food is verry good and the service is amazing
Delicious Mediterranean food! We were pleasantly surprised with amazing home-like food and great service when we came in shortly before the restaurant closed. We had the grape leaves and the main plate, which was very well served. A great meal we split in two. The meat was very well seasoned, especially the chicken. The hummus was delicious with whole chickpeas on top (how I like it) and served with fresh bread. $5.65 for a glass of wine was also a great deal for a cold night at the desert with outdoor dining due to covid. Would strongly recommend this hidden gem.
Food nice tasty service not great slow uninterested young man tables of other guests not been bussed no follow up to see if we needed anything looked dirty tables not clean dirty boxes piled up outside a door just not great
As a born & raised as a mediterranean I highly recommend this place.the rice and meat were yummy and seasoned just at the right taste.we also took falafel plates and wraps that were also very good, make sure to try the hummus and the grape leafs.the dishes are large and include also pitas.
The food was outstanding! Fast and friendly service.
Great food! Huge portions and delicious. We waited about 45mins to an hour for the food but worth it. No hookah right now because of the rona which bummed us out. Try the smoothies
Delicious food with vegetarian options served with a smile!
Quality authentic food! A must try if visiting Joshua Tree.
Do not be discouraged by modest interiors. The food was excellent. Baklava was divine.
They overcharged my bank card by ten dollars on %/16/21. My bill was 50.88 and when I checked my bank they charged me 60.88. They are stealing money from there own patrons. Very shady. The food is good but this is very bad.
I had heard good things, I ordered through Google order which was the most easiest way to do it. Great app. I arrived 2 minutes before the specified time to pick up my order and upon walking in I noticed that it was very clean and I spied a lone bag sitting on a Togo table. I asked the young man if it was my order he said no. Yours is in the back.?? Ok I waited for another few and was given what was supposed to be my order and as I was about to exit was called back to take the line bag with my now dead cold food. It was still a welcome taste change, BUT! It was cold and done before I had the chance to enjoy what I was recommended to get. So it made having to pay 3.98 for an add on Arnold Palmer that was in fact boxed so there you go. Total guest satisfaction begins with and ends with attention to detail in my opinion. To the b.o.h. credit is due for presentation. And that is what leads me to believe that in house Great! Order up...not so much......
Great vegetarian/vegan plate. Nice to know they are in town as everything is fast food. Hummus was super tasty 🙌🏽
Very good and plentiful Mediterranean food. Grape leaves, and kabobs topped our selections.
Excellent food. Best falafel I have ever tasted.
Such great quality and huge portions. My favorite restaurant in the area. Very clean.
Delicious Mediterranean food. Very thorough menu.
Tasty food. 20 bucks for a plate...so disappointed by the portion. One cold piece of pita, no fork or napkin. Come on you guys.
Everything was tasty and fresh. Falafel pita, tabouleh, fries. My only critique is to make smaller sides available for individual orders. Good music as well
First time there. Loved it! Service was great!
What a surprise to find excellent middle. Eastern in Yucca.... delicious lentil soup and gyros. Greek salad needed beets but still good. The fatoush is better here.
Tasty and authentic Mediterranean food. Generous portions and a reasonable price. Ordered online and was ready on time with a smile.
Outstanding food and service! Fresh, authentic, and always delicious. We order shawarma plates, gyro wraps, and grape leaves probably on a weekly basis. Can’t recommend highly enough!!
I have always gotten delicious food here and the service is always great. Thank goodness there is a locally owned alternative to all the chain restaurants around. Their pita wraps are great, the baba ganoush is scrumptious and the baklava is so good you should get two - one for now, one for later!
The vegetarian plate was amazingly delicious! The falafel is where it’s at! Hidden gem, Ronny is the man!
Puts WAY too much tzatziki sauce on their wraps/sandwiches it overpowers everything else. It gave us all a stomach ache and we had to throw them away. Ask for the sauce on the side or go light.
It was delicious!!!! The gyro was 🔥, the tzatiki was 🔥 as well.Highly recommended this place.
Absolutely delicious. Its been a while since Ive had their food. The chicken kabob was perfectly grilled. Gyros, rice pilaf, salad, hummus simply wonderful.
Slow service but very good food.
Best place in town in my opinion! If you have not tried this please give it a try. Family owned and operated the service is always 100% and so is the food. Very consistent and affordable. I have tried other Mediterranean eateries and restaurants, it has not been the same quality or taste. They make everything from scratch. Gyro sandwich, grape leaves, chicken kabob and their homemade hummus are a must-try!
The food was great but if you seat in the patio you’ll expect a lot of flies
Great mediterranean food. Very tasty. It takes them a while to make the food so order early.
Wonderful food! Friendly service.
Great and healthy food for reasonable price. This place is much better choice then the fast food places around it.
Good food. a gem in the hi desert. friendly staff
The falafel wrap is delish! $8, medium size wrap. Im a vegetarian, I think their falafel is the best Ive had in a few years, recommend it
Good flavor. Chicken a little dry on my salad
Clean restaurant, large portions and the food is delicious!
Look no further for a phenomenal, home-cooked, fresh, and authentic Mediterranean meal while visiting Joshua Tree! I’m a big foodie and cook myself and every dish here was incredibly flavorful. Also extremely affordable. Warning the entrance is very unassuming but trust me the food and service is the best I’ve had while visiting out here. Definitely would go again in a second!
I got the Gyro Shawarma Plate, which was good. However, they have increased their prices dramatically! Their online menu shows $10.99, but they said they changed their menu. Its now $14.99! Expect to PAY MUCH MORE!!
Surprisingly good middle eastern place near Jtree! Highly recommended.
Outstanding food. Their covid game is strong. Everything is online.
Overrated restaurant. Kebab style is not Arabic at all.
This is my favorite place to eat in Yucca Valley. Jordanian food. So fresh and delicious. Maybe understaffed for servers, but the food is totally worth it.
The food was delicious! Service was quick, but still friendly. Just moved to the area, I can easily see this becoming one of the regular spots.
I have lived in Los Angeles, New York, and Las Vegas. I have eaten kabob everywhere from Russia to Israel. This is the best kabob I have ever had.
Large portions and has an outdoor patio in the back. Friendly service.
Delicious Mediterranean in the area. Their Babaganoosh is masterful.
Delicious gyro and falafels
Very good kabob and gyro. Fatoosh salad was fresh and tasty. Grape leaves and kabeeh were good as well.
Excellent food! Very good kofta and chicken shawarma
I pick up food for a customer who orders from them everyday, you think they would be great full instead they talk smack.
Great food! Friendly staff.
Good appetizers and okay food. Kabobs werent good except for Chicken kabob.
Amazing food!
This place is phenomenal. One of my favorite restaurants in California. A wonderful family runs with business and they make extremely delicious traditional Jordanian food. Love you guys cant wait to see you again.
