Originally, we were very disappointed with the contract not mentioning our free month and the local two telling us there was nothing they could do about it and that we owed for another month. However, corporate contacted us today and was able to resolve the issue. Thank you!
I love this place. John, the property manager at the Northwest Drive, Carmel/Zionsville facility is great. He made the sign up process painless and he was always accessible by phone on the occasions I needed to contact him. I chose not to set up auto payment and I didn’t have to. I was able to make monthly payments at the storage facility with a card at their indoor kiosk. 👍👍
This is an incredibly Customer SERVICE-centered facility. The staff is so very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them for their personalized, individualized care and service.
We have been renting a unit here for about 3 months as we relocate to the Indy area. John, the site manager is very responsive to both email and phone messages and has been super accommodating to our needs. Efficiently got set up to get into unit, was willing to change units for convenience when requested. No issues with security thus far. We considered moving to a storage facility closer to our rental house, but given the excellent customer service have decided to stay with Simple self storage.
Called to order a storage unit. Lets start by saying that the people you talk to on the phone have never been to their own facilities, ever. I asked for a 10x12 unit and they told me the price. Then I asked if they had any deals for bigger units. They said there was a much bigger one for cheaper than he 10x12. They failed to tell me that this was just a parking space for a car. I asked for a storage room to store boxes and other valuable items, so they knew an outdoor parking space wouldnt work.I also specifically asked what type of lock I needed. They said that any lock from a hardware store would do. After loading all of my items in a unit, I tried to apply the lock I just bought and it would not work. It actually takes a certain lock that you have to get from them. Called them back and they told me I can get one at the Kiosk. There was no option to buy one. The maintenance guy was at lunch, so we had to wait there for over an hour for him to arrive with a lock.This is an unmanned facility with a kiosk, if anyone was wondering.I do not recommend.
I called maybe four places and this one had an available unit for me to throw my stuff that very day. The kiosk didn’t work at all, so i told John my information over the phone and he took the time out of his day to spent 20 minutes on that. To most people I’m sure that sounds like bad service, but he kept offering solutions so that I could have a place immediately and I really really needed that, so it was a really really good thing.
John made a stressful situation so easy. I needed a last minute storage unit.. no problem, needed to change to a larger unit the day of move, no problem ... he handled everything with a quick phone call and was truly very friendly and so accommodating! Highly recommend this place!

This is my 2nd year renting an outdoor parking spot here. The dumpster keeps moving closer and closer to my spot and people just put trash all around it and in our space. It wasnt quite this bad last year. Impossible to reach someone to talk to about the issues. Have offered to move us, but its the only spot we can fit in.
Its a pain trying to maneuver a truck with a trailer, very narrow.
