So happy we stopped in Ashland and eating quickly was the right call. It was hard to sit down for it is also a study hall for one to grab a coffee and per one person — a table for four. The receipt, bill, not totaled requested a gratuity but that did not mean you should expect more than pick up your own food and bus your table. Food is good, coffee very good.

The owner, Paige, is so great. The jalapeño garlic feta croissant is my favorite. All of The coffee is great. Nearly everything is made in-house.

If you would like to know what crack tastes like I would strongly suggest that you order some of their homemade biscuits and any of the breakfast sandwiches. Actually this is some of the best cuisine you will find in the valley. They will have to pull you away on the stretcher kicking and screaming. The owner is real people. She always remembers your name. In todays world that is a true Rarity. Thanks Paige.

Sweet Baby Loki! This place is wonderful! Fresh handmade biscuits and bagels and cookies! Totally on point! The mushroom gravy for the biscuits was suitable for deity but they still serve it to we lowly humans! And the ambiance and hospitality was sublime. These folks rock. Ifn ever I am in town again, they will have my custom.

Had the pleasure of unexpectedly grabbing a bite from this cafe for lunch as I was early for an appointment. Amazing ! Everything from scratch. Paige was delightful and made me a turkey, brie, apple and jam sandwich on a homemade croissant that was incredible ! My new favorite place to grab lunch or take some gourmet sandwiches for a picnic. I highly recommend you wont be disappointed !

Stopped by for the first time about a half hour ago but I am just so enthusiastic about how good my provisions are that I had to write a review! I’m in town on work and it was incredibly refreshing to walk into this wonderful cafe—I was greeted with kindness and the inviting smell of pastures and coffee. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant (I see previously written reviews have referred to it as “the best croissant ever” and let me tell you, they are NOT exaggerating. It was delicious) and a mint mocha which was one of the specials at the moment. I am a huge fan of supporting local businesses, a big reason for that being the owners often pour genuine love and care into their work. It’s very apparent that the owner of Cafe 116 cares deeply about the product and puts a lot of soul into the shop! The baked goods are freshly made every morning and the flavor syrups for the coffee are made in house. I can taste the natural mint in my mint mocha! It’s been a lovely start to my morning in Ashland. If you’re also visiting town, I highly recommend. This business is located a very short walk away from my hotel and many of the other hotels in town.

We stopped by for our morning coffee on the way out of town and I had an Americano that made me realize my standards had slipped! THIS is the kind of espresso by which cafes should be judged. It was perfect, from its smooth and aromatic crema to its dark, flavorful heart.

116 has been my a.m. hangout for over 6yrs now and, even though its changed ownership 3 times it has always managed to continue to remain consistent in its food n drink! The croissants are a must! Ive had them from around the world an these are as good as any youll ever find(traditional 3 day process for each batch n made with plenty of butter)! Ive even heard people visiting from France declare the same thing! The owner is a wonderful being who trys to accommodate all folks as best she can! Funky feel to the place which, I appreciate. Highly recommend it if your passing through Ashland!👍

Coffee is good.Service is good.Atmosphere is average. However, the croissants are...well, small(!), way over-priced, way under-baked and overloaded with some form of shortening.Tried these croissants on three different occasions all with the same results as stated above. Outer portion is nice and flaky, but as one approaches the roll’s middle flakiness is replaced with undercooked almost still raw dough. The search for a truly good (given up on great😒), local croissant continues...

My favorite sandwich in all of Ashland is found at Cafe 116! Turkey, Brie cheese, apple slices and raspberry may on their home-baked ciabatta. Now my mouth is watering just thinking of it. I think this is the most unknown gem in Ashland. Great coffee, food and ambiance. The staff is wonderful too!
