Corey at the River Oaks store was AMAZING!!!! He was very professional and answered ALL my questions. He helped me pick some very nice furniture. If youre looking for a professional and nice guy ask for Corey. You will not be disappointed. The delivery guys were also VERY professional and friendly. Ask me where I wanted things to go and also gave suggestions that worked out better. The only complaint was I waited almost for some of my furniture to be delivered. And still waiting for the rest to be delivered and thats not until the end of August if its not pushed back. But my experience at the store and the delivery guys were absolutely AMAZING, PROFESSIONAL, AND ALL AROUND RIGHT MEN!!!!!!!! I would like for them to deliver my other furniture. And when its time for more furniture Corey is the men and I will leave out the store if hes not there.

I made a furniture purchase on July 5, 2021, that was scheduled for September 30th. On September 30th my husband and I missed the delivery because due to work obligations. I called to reschedule the delivery and I was told that I had to pay $100 as a redelivery fee. I said no problem and paid the fee. I was then told that the chaise was given away to the next person in line waiting so I would have to wait until November 30th to receive it. I spoke with management and I was told that it was nothing they could do about it. I said okay. Today I got a call saying that my dining room chairs and couch were also given away to another customer, and I would have to wait until January to receive my items. I asked about a refund and I was told that I could not receive a refund unless I came into the store. After spending over $3500 and waiting since July 5th I’m extremely disappointed in this company. They gave furniture that I paid for away within minutes, without reaching out to me and or offering a refund. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!

I am a little upset that the color I ordered is not the color that was delivered. If the color I had chosen was not available I fell I should been notified as a courtesy to see if I would like it in the color that was delivered. Turns out I like the color that was delivered because it is a little lighter, makes the room feel brighter for me. So Value City gets a pass this time.

DISAPPOINTED. I am a first responder. I went back home to retrieve my IDS that the store said I needed to get a 10% discount. Apparently my IDs wasnt good enough. The worst part... the manager didnt even bother to come out the office and explain why I was denied. I WILL SPEND MY MONEY ELSEWHERE and continue to work hard and help save lives. Please remove your FALSE OFFER.

Attentive and knowledgeable. Prices were average. I did get a sectional only to have to have them come out 2 days after delivery because recliner stopped working and stuck as seen in photo. Long as they take care of it when scheduled I was happy with my purchase.

She got me set up for an appointment the next day which I was thrilled about since we were finally going to have our bed fixed! I purchased the Sabrina bedroom set and nightstand. The lights and the look of the bedroom set are beautiful. You would think that with the price the quality of the product would match. The support platts, underneath the middle of the the bed, started to bow. I’m afraid bed will fall altogether. I also went to the store I purchased it from (Calumet City) and was rudely told my warranty was up two months ago and to go to MENARDS. I asked if they were doing an extension because of everything with COVID and of course not.

My delivery team was Kind, and very Professional with my delivery. The team got my furniture in my home quickly and set up was fast and to the point. I could not ask for a better set of delivery guys... two thumbs up to them both

Wait what is this the Flea market I want a new chair thats why I came to what I thought was a credible Establishment How ever I was told in order to get a new chair I would have to send this one back pay $250 Restocking fee order a new one And pray it works this time... My guess is the email they want me to Communicate with them on Is so The next person will not know what I went through

I love my TV stand. It is well made and has lots of storage space. I always make my purchases with Rochelle, she is awesome. They were done within 10 minutes. Very nice customer service all around! It did take quite some time to get my delivery though due to covid and delivery delays. But I do love my stand!!!

I am disgusted with this store business practices. They are misleading. I was told one thing in the store. Now I am being billed double for merchandise I wanted to pay cash for . Oriental the merchandise was not in stocks and would not be able to be delivered for 4 months. I was advised against paying in full for the merchandise until it was available. I was told it would be 4 months same as cash. Do not believe the lies. If you do not plan on financing your merchandise do not believe the 4 months same as cash. I am being told I am locked in to a 14 month monthly purchase or pay to buy out the contract that I did not want to finance in the first place. This store dies not have good business practices. I will never do business with Value city furniture ever again. I wish I could rate them with a half of a star . Unsatisfied customet.

Not really happy with the sofa with that I purchased. I have had to have a repair person come out twice. I purchased the sofa in June and it was delivered in August. The pillows look as if I’ve had this sofa for several years. The measurements are totally off. I was told that someone was ordering the new pillows this was back in February it is now April, and I have not received the pillows. Each time I call I’m told the order has been placed.

Yes I️ Love VCF I️ go straight to their Clearance section in the back of the store and I️ always find something cute and cheap back there! I️ seen these pieces and picked up the Metal stools they were $140 bucks then went to $74 then I️ bought them for $19.99 so yes those are mine thanx VCF

This was my first time purchasing from this location. I went there knowing exactly what I wanted. The delivery took over a month, due to the pandemic, but I was satisfied with my purchase. Carmen was the first salesperson to greet me and she assisted me with my order. Overall, my trip here was great!

I’m very pleased with my purchase the bed set is gorgeous. The delivery service was great . I’m sure I’ll make future purchases from Value City Furniture but I do have one complaint and that is my bed screws did not go to my bed. The delivery guy made me aware of this and stated someone would have to come back and fix that. I don’t feel comfortable placing my mattress on the bed frame because the head board is not secured tightly, although he says I could. It’s unfortunate because I have my daughter home from the Navy and needed the extra sleeping space. This is why I couldn’t give a 5 star rating.

I ordered furniture in March i still havent received my entire order.. I bought an 100% leather chair from clearance. because of electrical problems it was marked down from $1,000 to $699.00 that was delivered in June and not even 90 days later my chair is fading and Im still waiting for matching couch i bought with it to come in. I spoke with store mngr he agreed after seeing pics 100% leather shouldnt fade like that he said so sorry theyll send maintenance out to take care of it. Maintenance called set up my appointment, I requested the appointed time they gave me off work and no one showed. I went back to store to ask why no one showed and store mngr told me hes sorry no one called and told me they werent coming out anymore and mustve been grease from my hair I dont use grease in my hair. Tony and Maria told me there was nothing they could do and gave me corporate phone number. Ive called corporate several times and received no answer after holding for over an hour. Im so frustrated with this store and the customer service 😫

!!!!Furniture and pure promise warranty is unsatisfactory. Couch was replaced twice and still sinks after 6 months. The back is made of plywood. Took service call personnel 6-9 weeks to look at it. The service guy was upset because I asked where is his shoe covers. I had to give him plastic bags. He then proceeds to punch the cushions in leaning with all his weight takes a picutre and writes the furniture up as worn down. 6 months and Im the only person that sat on the furniture. Not to mention staples come out of back of couch. Check reviews for pure promise warranty. I will be reporting Value City Furniture and Pure Promise Warranty to the Better Business Bureau.!!!!

Horrible customer service, on May 27 my husband and I bought a bed, a mechanical base and a mattress, after a week they came and installed everything, when they left I realized that the mattress was very thin and very firm, it was like 4 inches apart from the headboard, immediately my husband called them to tell them we did not like the mattress (we did not use it) They said that the mattress could not be returned because we open the package, my husband told them that they set up everything, we only wanted to exchange it for a better one even if we paid for the difference, they made us wait another 4 days because they were going to send someone to take pictures of the mattress to see what conditions it was, I am pregnant sleeping in the living room for two weeks because I did not want to use the mattress, after they took the pictures we waited another three days for a reply and no one call us, my husband called and they just sent him to talk with another manager, so we stayed for two weeks and nobody solved the problem, I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THAT STORE,I do not recommend it to anyone, Bobs is better, they give you 30 days of warranty and if you do not like the mattress they will exchange it for another one.

I was glad with the help we got on site (Adriana), I enjoyed our new furniture, but the delivery people really made a mess at our house. They ended up scratching up our new hardwood floor when they came to set up our dining room. 5 stars for the rep who helped us, 2 for the dining room delivery. Very upsetting as its now going to cost us to repair it and disappointed

These two guys didn’t just deliver my new purchase. They assembled this sectional VERY quickly, professionally, as well as courteously. They were like “ninjas” in their accuracies regarding the assembly of this sectional. Keep these guys employed!!! My last two purchases with VCF were delivered/assembled by extremely great people! Thank you! I waited more than three months for this delivery, and these two guys made it worth the wait!

On my nonstop hunt for a sofa set I want, I decided to go here. Nice selections, that are reasonably priced. I did find the sofa set I wanted but not the color. The sales rep assisted me in a way to match my existing colors at home with the color of this set. I was going go ahead and buy it until I was told that the sofa was only available and I would have to wait until March for the rest of the furniture. I could deal with 4-6 weeks but 4 months no way. Im sure it is a manufacturer issue, but why advertise if you dont have it.

Those people are a fraud. I the most expensive bed set in that store. When delivered them, they had the bench and the dresser with problem or defective. They changed the bench but they did not let me know what they were going to do about the dresser. After like 6 months, we received a call telling us the dresser is ready to be delivered but we were not home at the moment. They call a second time another day, my wife told them that I would call them back. When I called them, they have changed their mind, they decided to leave me with the defective dresser. They never delivered the new dresser that was made to replace the defective dresser. The day they came with the dresser, the door would not remain closed. It has been a while but I am still mad at them.

Value city has a great selection of furniture. The only thing I dont like is they dont take acima or flex . Only in house financing...

I have to tell you all about the AMAZING service that I received from Melvin and Grrod with the delivery of my sectional on 12/27!! First of all, I was told my delivery window was from 10-12noon. These guys showed up an hour earlier than expected which was perfect for me!The living room is located on the 2nd floor but has a really tight staircase and turn that makes deliveries difficult. I measured as best as I could beforehand but this would be the 3rd couch I would have to return for this reason.After inspecting the deck that’s connected to my kitchen, Melvin and Grrod determined that the sectional would not be going back on the truck to go the warehouse and they would be able to push it to the 2nd floor from the side of the house.I really appreciate them taking the time to assess the situation and give me and alternative option. I am in LOVE with my furniture and it’s all thanks to these guys. They were very professional, personable, timely and gentle to the pieces during this process.

The experience was initially ok until two months later I noticed that the item we purchased is 200 dollars cheaper and includes middle console. Though friendly the delivery men left some of their packing material in our driveway & screws on the ground that can puncture my vehicle tires.
