Compton coming up! With Komiko and moms burgers Compton boasts in the culinary world of LA and now can say it has an essential coffee shop with Patria coffee. Rustic decor and a good election of drinks. Parking is easy and has a nice outdoor grassy area.

First of all, theres parking along the lefthand side of it so that was wonderful. It has really nice vibes, theres green plants outside and a nice seating area. Then you walk in and its lively with conversation, theres plants for sale, theres a free book box for a project, theres a selection of drinks and friendly baristas. I got the oat milk coffee slush and it was delicious. He got a hazelnut latte and it was sweet and icy. We shared a vegan coffee bread and it was pretty good. The place is sha-poppin so, order ahead. They have a website where you can place online orders for pick up and I would suggest you do that.

I have quickly become a regular at this place on my lunch breaks and I have always had great service when I am here.The parking lot spaces can be tight but there is easy street parking along the street. The interior is nicely decorated with seating available. They have community-focused initiatives inside the shop that highlight important work being done in the community. On that alone, I think its important to support this space!As for their coffee, I have tried their oat milk lattes both hot & iced. I have also enjoyed their cold brew on many occasions. The lattes, whether hot or iced, come on a generous portion. There is always a nice balanced between espresso, milk, and flavor syrup of your choice. I truly appreciate that none of their drinks are much too sweet, they are always just sweet enough without compromising the taste of the espresso.My usual cold brew order is with a splash of oat milk and vanilla syrup. They shake my cold brew for me, so the drink is perfectly mixed with no settling, layering, or me having to stir the drink and spill all over myself.The one feedback I have, and its more for their employees sake, is that they have 1 barista doing it all. Ringing orders, preparing them, and giving to customers. So, if youre there at the lunch rush make sure you too the barista. They doing the thing!

I absolutely love Patria! All their drinks (coffee and tea) are amazing. My favorites are the lavender hibiscus tea and their cafe de olla. I no longer live in Watts/Compton but always stop by when I visit!

Great service employees where very knowledgeable about the coffe. I had the Vegan coffee cake and it was freaking great, never had a vegan coffee cake before and that one was a 10 lol. Also had the cappuccino served in a actual cup and plate just like the cake with a real fork. Very clean was welcoming, i had a meeting this morning. I will definitely come back. City of Compton please keep bringing business like this one to our City.

Pro Barista and excellent coffee. The espresso is well balanced and flavorful. Patria Coffee one of the best examples of Specialty Coffee in the US.

Fantastic visit for the first time to Patria Coffee. Love the simple, minimalist decor which reallyjust helps to highlight the coffee itself. Not being able to drink caffeine, I was so happy to see that they have organic Swiss water process coffee beans because otherwise coffee is usually decaffeinated with chemicals. The barista was extremely courteous and answered many of my questions, thanks Yoshawn(?) !!!

Usually a quick service but they have a new barista and she took FOREVER to get my order out. Ordered ahead of time and still waited 20 minutes to get a coffee. Inconvenient if you are on your way to work. Not worth it.

My friend and I just happened to stumble along this place, she noticed it and we decided to stop by. Place has a very rustic homey feel which is awesome. We were greeted and I immediately felt a connection to this place. They have a nice variety than the typical Coffee spot but what really sold me was the values this place stands for and its connection to the community. Staff was extremely friendly. It was just a beautiful ambiance. Its also located next to a park, so it was nice to just sit outside with a good cup of joe! Highly recommended

Great coffee shop. Coffee is delicious & the baked good are to die for. I got the cortado & banana oatmeal chocolate chip cookie. The baked goods are vegan free and very moist. Great friendly service too! Ill be coming back, thank you Steven for the great coffee.

Barista is very welcoming and knowledgeable. He asked me how I usually take my coffee and gave me recommendations based off that. I took his recommendation and was NOT disappointed. Cafe de hoya latte was amazing. So was their coffee cake.

Beautiful, airy, bright, location with delicious coffee, beans, plants for sale, cute T-shirts, mugs, and thermoses. They also have a book exchange for The Black Women’s Library, and are super proud of the neighborhood and the other local businesses that make it special. The service was great, they correctly told me to get a Keurig grind for my beans, and made me an excellent cup of coffee to go with my purchase. Highly recommended, wonderful Black-owned business.

Fabulous. A proper flat white! Delicious and everyone is always sooooo lovely and helpful. Id visit everyday if I drank more coffee. Looking forward to when we can actually hang in the space! Keep up the great job Patria Coffee, love having you in the neighborhood!!

This is one of the best coffee shops in all of LA. Not only is their coffee incredible, they do so much for the community. Supporting Patria is supporting ethically sourced coffee and the city of Compton.

Phenomenal beans. We come by every month or so for their Guatamala roast for French Press at home.

We ordered ground coffee beans from them, both decaf and caffeinated. The coffee is wonderful!! My mother and I drink decaf and normally it gets the short end of the stick flavor-wise. But Patria’s coffee is rich and delicious.Also my mom got one of their T-Shirts and loves it.

Ordered online all the way from MN, and my order came quickly and with a nice note. This coffee is amazing. I drink it every morning, and I can’t wait to order more!

Great and quick service. Wonderful space and amazing music. Heard some Natalia Lafourcade and Selena among other music while I was there. Great place to chill and work or have a conversation. Their lavender hibiscus iced drink was delicious.

Called to ask about their menu as it was different on Grubhub than their website. I was finally going to order something but Person answering the phone was just like no and hung up on me. I never trust places in Compton so this rude customer service proves my point. Not even gonna try this place.

It gives it so much more character and I enjoyed reading at the mini stories & art they had on the wall when I came. There is a little parking lot outside as well as street parking.We came here with the intent of doing some work. Patria had free wifi, spacious tables, and outlets. The space itself is not that big, but if you come early or get lucky, its a comfortable place to get some work done.I had an iced mocha with almond milk. I enjoyed that a lot. I didnt get to try any of the pastries yet, but plan to be back in the future to try them. The server/barista was very kind and knowledgable so we enjoyed chatting with him about the drinks as well.Solid spot. Highly recommend!

Overpriced and inconsistent. I understand that everything is made to order and home made, etc. But when Im paying more than Starbucks prices for coffee that always taste different... Im not willing to play roulette with my coffee. Visited about 4 times and will not be returning.

I try to find random coffee shops when Im in unfamiliar places. More often than not, this makes for satisfying neighborhood explorations but disappointing coffee.Patria is one of those rare, hidden gems. You can feel the passion as soon as you walk in, and you can taste that passion after the barista pulls three espresso shots to make sure the fourth will be perfect for you. Couple that with Patrias incredible social mission, and you can feel good about more than just the coffee.If I lived in Compton, thisd be my spot.

We had our first Union meet and greet at this beautiful coffee shop, which was discovered by our union President!!!! This coffee shop located in our city is one of kind! if you are not familiar with Compton u would miss this little hidden gem....it sits right next to Wilson Park!!!!! I had the lavender hibiscus refresher....OMMMMMG yes i would recommend a trillion times if you are not a coffee drinker!!!!!! they also have for kids too my daughter had the vanilla bean (i think, lol I was so into my drink I dont recall the name of hers lol)...move over starbucks!!! The owner was great, our meeting spilled a little over the time and he was like no rush another A++!!! This is a great meeting spot for about 15 or less!!! Yes, I will return to try their coffee!!!!!
