A disputed measurement led to a shortened piece of shower glass being installed. Had to have them replace with one to my original specifications at a cost of $330 extra. Will not recommend.

We had McGregor Glass & Mirror (Mildred Drive in Ft. Myers) do two difficult jobs for us today. The first job involved replacing an arch window in the second story entryway window of our home. Two guys on the scaffolding on the outside and one on a ladder inside. The second job was to remove the full wall mirror in the master bathroom with two heavy oval mosaic mirrors adhered to that. Sean, Jay and Kevin were amazing. These jobs took them some time, but they completed both jobs meticulously and perfectly. If you ever need glass or mirrors replaced or ordered, we highly recommend McGregor Glass.

I needed a quick idea of price without actually having the estimator come out to a home I purchased. Crystal was very helpful giving me a complete price based on a picture similar to my home. The estimator came out after I took ownership of the home. The glass shower door was actually smaller than we originally thought. The price came back exactly the same despite actually being smaller and had an additional $250 charge for removal of the old glass door. Originally I was told removal was included. I was then told the $250 removal charge was due to some rusty screws that will make removal more difficult. Really? Did they expect the screws on a 15 year old home to be new. And a $250 charge when originally I was told removal was included. I just wish they wouldn’t have wasted my time and told me outright they were either too busy or just didn’t want the job. I would go somewhere else if you are looking. They could not treat everyone like this or else they wouldn’t be in business, but this is exactly what happened to me.

This place is amazing. I didnt know what kind of glass I needed and they educated me on what I needed and cut it to my exact size within 30 minutes. I recently purchased a property in Cape Coral and really wanted to customize a mirror wall in a room of our house....I had a very interesting idea in my mind and Lauren and Crystal from McGregor helped to get it all on paper. We drew up a sketch, they sent their techs out to measure and within a few days, they were back to install. This company had my antique mirror for over 3 months. They were going to redo the mounting on the back and clean it. They charged me over $350 and it was never cleaned, not one bit. They delivered it and mounted it and already had charged me credit card. When I complained to the delivery people they didnt speak english and had no idea what I was talking about. Try to get someone on the phone that will answer a question is like pulling teeth. They will say someone will get back to you and never does, or double talk. I was told the mirror was too delicate and old to clean any better. So what the heck did i pay $350 for, a new wire on the back?? Will never go back or recommend this company. Plus the customer service comes complete with attitude.

I am need of a specialty item which they may or may not be able to help with, but definitely not from lack of trying to help. This company has already gone above and beyond without knowing whether they can assist in our request. First class company in my opinion.

They have no clue who is speaking for their company... I was actually referred to this establishment, but the receptionist obtuse disposition caused me to put away my check book. The lost art of customer service and/or the ability to assure a customer that their hard earned money would be well spent. While conversing on what I needed and what they could provided I mentioned said price was higher there and lower elsewhere ( i.e. hardware store) the receptionist lack of professionalism and the need/want to assure me the difference between their service, craftsmanship, experience staff, and/or expertise of a better finished product that I would enjoy... BRAZENLY said Go to the hardware store. Taking back and stunned I replied, I just want to know why your pricing is more. Her reply, The hardware store sound nice..! They got me to walk in by word of mouth and now my words will be to anyone I encounter...Keep searching! If you value your money, time, and the assurance that your money will be well spent!

Ordered a custom coffee table top for a live edge slab and it came out beautifully! Fast turnaround time and very fair price for the difficultly level of the cut.

I visited this shop an hour before they closed. The reption staff was welcoming and efficient. The employee who worked in the shop heard the dimensions I gave and returned with the piece I needed in minutes when I expected to have to come back the next day. McGregor Glass and Mirror of Fort Myers took a deposit from us of $8000+ back in August last year. They failed to order our material for this work and, in fact, never performed any work. They still have our money and have refused to return our deposit. We sought the services of an Attorney, who sent them demand letters etc. This process cost us $2000. NOTHING has happened. They have not returned our money or even tried to contact us with a view to a settlement. They have not been arrested either, which is what they deserve! The Attorney now wants more money to take them to court!!! How can these people sleep at night?? This company is still trading and I would urge anyone considering working with them to look elsewhere for a glass contractor as they are liars and crooks. We are considering contacting the Sherriffs office to see if they can pursue this.

The 1 Star is for the nice gentleman that removed a mirror for $85.00 the lack of the other stars is for the very nasty girl that answers the phone. I was quoted one price by one customer service lady then after the job was done another price of $40 more by this girl- she was more than rude in tone. She agreed to the price then sent an invoice reflecting that 3 days later when they’re suppose to install the new mirror I call to confirm and inquire if I can pay online (since no where is indicated on invoice) or give them a check for all of it. She then got very upset loud rude and preceded to argue the chain of events -teach me their procedure. I felt left me I was being reprimanded -SERIOUSLY- who acts like that? I’m over 50 and that was a first!The only thing I would order — better staff.

This is an amazing, locally owned & operated company, that I had the good fortune of hearing about through, believe it or not, another glass company that I got hooked up with for almost 4 months. The first company, Allegiant Glass, turned out to be a big mistake, and when they got tired (apparently) of trying to finish my new shower door, (was waiting on a replacement towel bar that THEY messed up), they told me to contact McGregor Glass & Mirror, and that Theyll be able to help you out. Thinking they might be connected somehow, I called McGregor and was told, big surprise, they were not in any way connected with Allegiant, but they would be more than happy to help me complete my project. I drove to their store, they helped me pick out what I needed, ordered it, and a couple of days later I picked it up and my husband installed it. Come to find out, Allegiant was a brand new company, that had actually approached me in Home Depot (where I was looking at shower doors) and said since I was in the market for one, they would like to come give me a free estimate, which they did the following day. After being hired, they came to my house 5 different times to install a shower door! When I finally asked them to please come remove everything they had done & give me a full refund ($1,000+), I finally got a phone call, saying it was a misunderstanding and that if I would send them a copy of the bill for the towel bar (that I had already paid for in their initial quote), they would reimburse me. I sent copy, never recd compensation, even after being told they would ...drop cash off over the weekend. Dealing with them turned out to be a mess. However, because of that mess, I found McGREGOR GLASS AND MIRROR INC., and I cannot recommend them highly enough. First rate, 100% all the way. Professional, knowledgeable, experienced. Highly recommend.

Installed impact resistant sliders - these already weep water underneath becuse no caulking below the threshold. Slow response, slow to install. Otherwise, work is fine.

Terrible customer service couldnt even get past setting up an appointment for an estimate! Called on a Monday woman answered the call, requested to set up an appointment to get an estimate on replacement windows, placed me on hold to get the schedule left on hold for 5 minuets, gave address and phone number she stated she would call me by days end to schedule an appointment. Thursday STILL no call back to setbup an appointment, and manager/owner Becky has long excuse why they havent called back! Terrible customer service. Would absolutely NOT do business who cant even call back for a prospective cudtomer.
