Advance Auto just lost my buisness for good. While in Glasgow, my brights quit working on my truck tonight, so I carried in a relay to show them what I needed. Told him I might need two. The parts he sold me looked just like my Part, with the same prongs and all. One had already been opened, and I pointed that out to him, but he said they would take it back if it didnt work. After paying $33.90 for two (relays) I get to the truck and plug one in, and my head light starts flashing, because what they sold me was turn signalflashers. I put it back in the packaging, and go to walk back in at 9:01 and the door was locked. He came to the door, and said I couldnt return them they were closed. I said you gave me the wrong parts. He said sorry. You can bring them back tomorrow. I said I live 40 min away. He said then I could take them to another store. Oh I will definitely return them, and never buy from Advance Auto again. Plenty of other places to get parts. I just bought a $87 crank sensor from Advance Auto the Thursday. That is the last money they will make off me.

Always wonderful service and friendly staff. Usually someone on duty who can answer questions. I go in often enough that I get recognized by a few of them. They will greet you with a smile and offer to help you find items when they get a chance. Sometimes they might be able to make suggestions.

On a recent trip to nearby Mammoth Caves (August 2016) our car seemed to be developing some electrical issues. Halfway between Minnesota and Kentucky we stopped at a national auto parts chain for a battery check; the technician pronounced the battery fine. After an additional couple days of driving we were unconvinced so while in Glasgow, KY we stopped by the local Advanced Auto Parts and asked for a second opinion.Upon opening the hood I noticed a small, acrid puff of smoke rise from the battery compartment. I relayed this to the tech coming from the store. Unlike the other store (initials AZ) his test indicated a dead cell among other issues. The ‘shell’ surrounding the battery top was loosened and lifted; visual inspection indicated leakage and slight bulge. The tech pronounced the battery unusually hot. This was definitely a problem. The store manager requested a look before allowing his assistant to proceed, which he did, but with caution.In short order the battery was replaced and we are most grateful for the service provided late in the evening by the crew of this store.Thanks much again, guys!

The employees are great. They have average parts. This company on a corporate level has a culture of not caring about anything but money. This is the last place that I buy parts.

Tested my alternator and found it bad (I had a check engine light just turn on 30 minutes before on 235,000 mile engine).
