Small parking area so it may be difficult to get in and out at times but worth the effort. If you are accustomed to good Firestone service, then you won’t be disappointed here either. The estimate is what you will pay unless told otherwise with your consent before work is performed. They were prompt and service was as expected even on a busy day.

I dont normally write reviews for businesses, but I have had a poor experience with this Firestone that needs to be communicated.I took my 1999 Jeep Wrangler in for a fluid flush. It had been sitting for over a year as my company bounced me around. I finally have time to work on my Jeep again, but didnt want to flush the fluids myself (a combination of laziness and nice newly cleaned garage floors), so I took it here for an oil change, brake fluid flush, transmission fluid change, transfer case fluid change, and front/rear diff fluid replacement. While the customer service was great, so far I have been very displeased with the results. When I received my Jeep, the brakes didnt work, which was a serious issue when I went to drive the vehicle down the block. I quickly came back, and after speaking with the technician learned the brakes were never bled during the brake fluid change. A mistake like that happens (but shouldve been caught when the tech drove my Jeep off the shop floor), so I let them fix it free of charge, and I was happy. However, I parked my Jeep and let it sit for a few days until I had time to work on it this weekend. When I came out to see it, I noticed a puddle under the transmission. Upon closer inspection, it looks like the tech didnt remove the transmission skid plate when doing the fluid exchange, which left a nice mess of fluid dripping in my garage (so much for that clean garage floor).Likewise, while I was under my Jeep, I noticed a cup stuck to the catalytic converter (see pictures). Unfortunately, whatever tech was working on my transmission left a styrofoam cup in the skid plate, which melted to my cat. After having the brakes fail on me, seeing the transmission skid plate mess, and catalytic converter mess, I start to go over my whole vehicle. I checked everything Firestone worked on, and noticed my diff breather tubes were never reconnected to the pumpkins after the diff fluid exchange (see attached picture for front pumpkin diff breather).Out of the 6 jobs Firestone had, they messed up 4. For the price tag, I would go to a real automotive shop or do it yourself. The hassle and sloppiness is not worth the $600+ charged for basic fluid flushes. The one thing I didnt check was the fluid type Firestone replaced everything with. Lets hope they didnt mess that up.

Very poor customer service. was not very forthcoming with what was wrong with the vehicle so after spending $600.00 on what they claim was to be wrong with my vehicle which was not actually wrong with it. had to take it somewhere else and spend even more money. chris the guy who answers the phone and was at the desk was extremely rude and acted like us as customers were a bother to him. with firestone being such a reputable nation wide company i figured we wouldnt have any more problems but will never go back to this one very disappointed in the service we received.

Initially our experience was a great one!My husband bought a 1974 Volkswagen Beetle and did most of the work on the engine and lines himself with huge help from his brother-in-law. They got the car running pretty well but brought it to this Firestone location to work on the brakes which were pretty shot. The master cylinder needed replacing and the brakes needed bled and checked. We thought the work was great and I dropped my husband off to drive the car home. On the way home, the back driver side wheel shot off the car across three lanes of traffic to land in the middle of the woods. Firestone came out and helped locate the tire after over an hour of searching and put the wheel back on using a bolt from each of the still attached tires. (Now each tire only has three bolts instead of four.) They had to order the replacement bolts but checked everything out again and gave it the all clear. As a secondary education professional, my husbands spring schedule didnt allow him the opportunity to take the car back up for another scheduled appointment to have the missing bolts installed. Even so, the car was driven short distances periodically and was doing great...Until the brakes went out and he almost got into an accident. So, my husband calls Firestone again and they agree to tow the car back up to their location as it had been less than 6.5 months since the brake job and replacement of the master cylinder.Once they began working on it, a mechanic calls and tells my husband they cant keep the car running and he will have to get it tuned up and going well before they can look at the brake job that we already paid for. So, they hire a tow service to bring it back to our house.IT ARRIVES WITHOUT ITS SUNROOF.We call after the holiday and they have no idea what happened to make a part of the car disappear. They recommend that we call the tow service they hired to see if they know anything, but they dont.Fast forward to after this weekend: the car runs fine after the fuel system was cleaned up and the tank drained and cleaned. Actually, the car runs better than it ever has.My husband calls this Firestone location to have them schedule an appointment for them to look at the brakes that we had already paid for in January for them to tell him point blank, Nope. I dont want to see it again. I dont want to see that car here.So now, we are out brakes that they supposedly fixed and tuned and out a sunroof that they lost for us.We have opened a claim with the corporate office and would love for this to be attended to and made right.

I have used firestone at this location for 5 or more years for both my cars for oil changes. I have always relied on the store managers because they look out for me. But this trip was on New Years Day I had my oil changed. They have always done # checkpoints and wouldmake a list of there findings. This visit nothing was checked and when my car was brought out to me I ask Mike the tech if he reset oil light was told yea as he walked by me. Then turned around and said he better go back and check. The passenger back tire that was facing Mike and me was almost flat. When I left I had to stop and put air in tire that only had 20 pounds of air in it...two days after oil change notice oil on ground had it checked and the oil plug was lose and the oil filter not properly put on was leaking from both areas. I will make a point to talk with the store managers at my next visit and will request a tech that has done oil changes in the passed. Shame on you Mike should take more pride in your work ..

Meh... Two hours for a tire change.Edit...edit...edit...edit....3 stars initially, downgraded to one...4 hours later...Had a flat to fix in rental. Explained that if it were to take too long that I would just take it to rental place and get a new vehicle. The guy told me two hours and here I sit 4 hours later. When you know someone is stuck from out of town and needs to get back on the road you would think an executive decision could be made to push you up in line to perform a 10-15 min fix. Especially after the stated two hour mark.Thanks...Thanks... Completely demolished my one day off a week between work and travel for work.

Excellent care and great people until you need something that is in fact NOT the run-of-the-mill type of problem. Suffice it to say; that the quality of or the ability to, follow through on customers concerns very much needs to either be taught and learned. Or if it happens to already exist and it’s in hiding then the matter needs to desperately be reviewed and greatly improved upon at all levels. This training or retraining needs to happen form the front counter, to the back/side office, and finally come to rest and happen in the shop area. It seems that at some point the very act of returning a phone call is taxing and will more than likely be ignored multiple times if it’s not on the daily TOP TEN LIST of action items. The above and beyond is just that! Above and beyond. Often times I have wondered can these qualities and skills be taught? You know the idea of service the idea of following up on a concern. Nah, I guess not at least at 1420, 25th Ave, in Gulfport. They were just to busy that day. Wish I did not have to give a one star rating in order to post this review because even the one star was not earned. Oh yeah and check behind them to see if they actually change your filters etc...Thanks for serving and an excellent example of what not to be!All my best,

If I could give this place NO STARS, I would. Horrible service here. The experience was a mess, I had called here a few days in advance to get make sure my 250 Ford Diesel Truck could be worked on. Brian the STORE MANAGER, said ‘we can work on it’. Keep in mind my boyfriend who has been a diesel mechanic with the Military for 11 years went with me to drop it off. The ONLY reason he can’t work on it himself is because we don’t have a garage. Anyways, that day we went and did some errands in the truck we also took our extra vehicle because we knew we were going to drop our truck off... Once we get there everyone is polite, great! I’m thinking this is going to be quick and easy. The next day we get a phone call from the store manager Brian who calls my boyfriend and says ‘we can’t work on your truck for the type of truck it is but your rear caliper is sticking’ which is what we had taken the truck in for. So, now I’m irritated because I lost two days and I’m supposed to be moving in 7 days... We get to the shop the day they call so we can go pick this truck up so we can run it across town to another shop well... my boyfriend goes to turn the the truck on and the brakes hit the floor... He checks under the hood and there is NO BRAKE FLUID. Brian comes back out and starts arguing with my boyfriend saying that issue was already there. Then how would I drive it to do errands the day I dropped it off, I ask myself!! Brian walks away and leaves my boyfriend and myself and goes inside unbothered by the issue! Jimmy (worker, deserves a raise) comes out and tries to help my boyfriend and gives us break fluid. Needless to say I’m fuming (I’m also pregnant) so, after Jimmy helps us, my boyfriend checks underneath the truck and turns out there is a busted brake line, that wasn’t there before. And I mean this truck is pouring out brake fluid and issue that would not fly given my condition... So now we have a truck that was brought in for a rear caliper sticking issue! And now I’m leaving with a busted brake line AND rear caliper still sticking. My boyfriend asked Brian if they could at least fix the busted brake line that wasn’t there (we were willing to pay to get the issue done) so we could drive it to another shop and Brian said ‘no we can’t work on the truck with that issue’ meanwhile they have a sign of ALL the brake services they ‘can’ do... Brian said ‘the only thing I can do is call a tow truck and take it to where you need it to go’... we agreed. While I was waiting in the car, I called the shop and asked to get Bobs number who is the area manager, Brian answered and as soon as I said Bobs name he hung up on me. I called a different store close by and Henry (who deserves a raise) gave me Bobs number. I called Bob and I still have yet to hear back. Needless to say when we got to the other shop (we didn’t mention what happened or anything about our experience at firestone) the guy went under the hood the truck and the truck itself and immediately said ‘it looks like this was done in purpose’ And I immediately walked outside because I didn’t want to lose my composure and I wanted him to be able to work on the truck. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The customer service is unprofessional, unpleasant, and unbelievably rude! I hope someone sees this and addresses the issue. The fact that I took a vehicle to get fixed at a shop and had to get it towed to another shop because the shop I took it to lacked the expertise is concerning, they SHOULDNT even be open if they can’t even fix a simple break issue. BOTTOM LINE, don’t go here!

Ja
Review №44

This shop is overpriced for labor, and parts are 2 to 4 times higher than parts store retail (and Im sure Firestone pays less than retail). They do invent or inflate problems to scare you into spending money, and may not do the service they do perform correctly. Frankly, its easier, a whole lot cheaper, and much less stressful to fix it yourself.

I went in a few months ago to get some tires put on, excellent service. A little slow, and my truck got pulled in over an hour after my appointment time, but it was a good service. I also had a problem with stalling when I shift into reverse or drive. I asked to get it diagnosed, and they told me they could do it. They offered a computer diagnosis, and I told them I had access to a computer, so that would not help me. They told me they do dig into the vehicle itself to find the issue. I came back a couple months later when I could afford it and got the diagnosis done, they told me theyd do it for 86$. Same deal, the truck pulled in a hour after the appointment. I got a call the next day saying the mass airflow sensor, the throttle body position sensor, and the egr valve all had a low voltage code on them. I just replaced the egr and the throttle body myself, and cleaned out the mass airflow. I knew at least the sensors were not bad so I told them that is not the issue. They said they would tell the mechanic. I waited about five more hours, then gave them a call back to find out they hadnt done anything else and parked my vehicle out back without telling me it was done! I told them I was going to come down. Before I got any information they made me pay, after qualifying for a 20% discount it was 91$! They told me three months ago any work they did would be guaranteed and if the problem persisted then theyd fix the issue for free after the first payment. They told me they couldnt guarantee this issue. They werent certain this was the issue! I couldve plugged in a computer for free and found out what they told me. Basically I paid them to plug it into a computer, empty out a quarter of my gas tank to test drive it, and give me the same information I had before. All they could tell me is replace the mass airflow sensor. I believe its the torque converter, and I told them this before the diagnosis. However when bringing it up, they told me We dont service transmissions! How are you going to try to diagonals a vehicle that has a stalling issue when the vehicle shifts into drive or reverse if you dont service transmissions? I will never step foot in a Firestone again. This is exactly why I do my own work and dont go to mechanics. After reading other reviews of people getting work done here, if you choose to go to this Firestone, just get your tires done. Either do your own work or send it to a honest mechanic who owns their own shop.
