The customer service was exemplary. We were treated like VIP from beginning to SHE SAID YES TO THE DRESS!! Just a wonderful experience for our family as the first one of our children getting married. This will be our go to for the next weddings!!

One of the more exciting yet potentially difficult things as a bride is finding your dress! I wanted to find something that suited me without all the fuss (not my style). Jay West was the absolute perfect bridal shop. If you make an appointment be sure to ask for Melissa. Of all the bridal shop attendants I worked with, she was by far superior in quickly understanding what I was looking for and provided dresses that worked with my style and were in my price range. She made me feel special yet comfortable. No, they’re not the type of shop that will start screaming when you do say yes to the dress but they still make you special and will ensure that you receive everything you need to make your day perfect. Melissa connected me with a jeweler who custom made a bracelet and earrings to match my dress and my grandmother’s necklace I wanted to wear which added a special touch to my entire outfit.An understated piece in all bride’s outfits is the veil; Jay West had many options to help me find one that flowed perfectly with the pattern in my dress!Overall, I was so pleased I went back and my bridesmaids purchased their GORGEOUS dresses from there as well. Even through the one or two issues/emergencies we had Jay West worked through everything professional and promptly fixed the issues.

We were helped by patti today. She was very short with both myself and my fiancé Tom. We were trying to help since we had two mothers looking for dresses. The dressing rooms are extremely tight very hard to try on dresses. Patti kept saying she liked the more expensive dresses they were trying on even if those were already declined by the mothers. Felt rushed and that the associate did not really care about the experience stating that she did not mind we take photos as long as they were quick. Just felt rushed overall.

Brides, dont stress and go to more than 3 stores.

My first time in the shop was amazing! Pattie was wonderful and so helpful. I was thankful for this as this was the only time my sick mother could attend with me. Patti was so sweet and understanding. Being a plus size bride I loved the selection of dresses. Patti allowed me to try on as many dresses as I liked and was so sweet the entire time! That being said after the first appointment it was nothing but issues one after another. I bought my dress at my first appointment and was told it came in my size. I even saw Patti check the size chart and double check my measurements. A few months later I received a call that dress was not made in my size. I was highly disappointed. I felt that I needed to order this dress as 1. I loved it! 2. My mother also loved it and I wouldnt be able to go wedding dress shopping with her again anytime soon. I proceeded with ordering the dress as the consultant expressed to me that the dress runs big and that they would order extra fabric for me. I was okay with this, nervous but okay. My fabric was to be ordered right with my wedding dress. I was told it would be a few months as expected. My dress came in and was shipped to me. I am very grateful for this!! However, the fabric took awhile to get. When calling in to check on the status of the fabric, the answer I continued to get was I havent checked on it yet but I will. Then one day I got a call saying there was a mistake and some how another dress was ordered instead of my fabric and it would take longer to get. This was extremely disappointing and delayed the process of getting alterations done because the dress does not fit even closely. When letting them know that it was delaying my alterations they continued to say that I have awhile until my wedding. With Covid-19 being so uncertain they have no idea when my wedding is or could have been moved too. Over all Patti was outstanding and so kind! If you order from here please triple check to make sure your dress comes in your size!

Beautiful dresses but expensive. There wasnt a dress under 300 from what I seen just an FYI. Great customer service.

I had a wonderful experience at Jay West selecting my bridesmaids gowns! I have 9 bridesmaids and wanted 3 different style dresses for them to choose from (which is a lot to ask of a sales consultant during an appointment). Within a half hour we had selected 3 beautiful dresses for my bridesmaids and everyone there was extremely helpful! All of my bridesmaids have had wonderful fitting experiences and the prices couldn’t be beat! Don’t waste time at other bridal stores in the area, jay west is the best!

I recently got married and bought my dress from Jay West. In particular I wanted to complement the excellent seamstress who handled my alterations (unfortunately, I dont have her name). Im petite with a slightly larger bust. My dress was strapless and I was very concerned with the final fit. The lady who handled my alterations did an amazing job. I received so many compliments on the dress - the biggest one being that it looked as if it was made specifically for me! Overall the staff was lovely and I had a very good experience.

I had the BEST experience at Jay West! Kay did an absolute amazing job on my dress! I had fallen in love with a strapless, sweetheart mermaid gown but had my heart set on adding sleeves. Kay is an absolute miracle worker and was able to creat an arm hole and add the most gorgeous sleeves that made the dress absolutely perfect!!!! Everyone was super friendly and helpful and my dress was stunning!

The reviews made me excited to purchase my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses here. However, I was very discouraged when I came for my appointment. Very underwhelmed by the dress options offered, as well as disappointed in the helpfulness of the woman tending to my appointment.

This was only the second place I went to try on wedding gowns. The atmosphere was a lot different than what I imagined. It reminded me of just somewhere you would look for prom dresses. The staff was very friendly, from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. They didnt give me a time limit like the other places did, which I liked. I loved that I was able to look through all of the gowns and pick which ones I wanted to try on. Once I knew the style I wanted, Carol was quick to choose gowns that were perfect for my body type. There were a solid 3 gowns in the running. I noticed they have a lot more unique gowns then other places. I was having a hard time deciding on which dress to say yes too. Carol gave me really good advise and suggested all the small things I didnt think of and needed to consider. In the end, I chose a BEAUTIFUL gown and I cannot wait for it to come in, in a few months.

Last week I went into Jay West as my third bridal shop in the search for my perfect dress. After being two previous bridal salons and trying on ~25 dresses prior to Jay West I was hoping for a better experience. Boy did they deliver!! Everyone one I spoke with was friendly and excited for my upcoming wedding in Nov 2018. My bridal consultant Melissa truly made the experience extremely special. She listened to my likes of other bridal dresses I tried on and pulled several beautiful dresses for me to try on. During the whole process she gave excellent insight and went above and beyond to make the process complete- by bringing in sample accessories and a veil that completed the outfit.. She never rushed me and was not pushy at all. In short, Jay West provided me the memory that every little girl wishes for... the ability to find my dream dress and cry happy tears with my mom! I said yes to the dress and would highly suggest everyone to visit this salon for any dress needs (bridal, mother of bride/groom, bridesmaids etc.). You will not be disappointed by this extremely clean shop, that contains an extensive inventory, and knowledgable and friendly staff. Thank you again for a wonderful experience!

Awful experience. Sister went for bridal fitting and Sue was not helpful. They did not have any strapless bridal gowns and attendant seemed ill prepared. Not impressed. Will not be returning for bridesmaids dresses or flower girl dresses. On to the next ladies!

From the earliest days of this shop on Kings Highway, Jay West has been a tradition for our family. From special occasions to prom gowns, cotillions, dances, and now two weddings this has been our go-to shop. They are experienced, knowledgeable and offer spectacular service. Their prices are reasonable with a wonderful gown selection and their accessories are just beautiful. A great shop.

This was the first bridal salon I made an appointment for, having heard good things from others. I found a dress I liked, but was interested in having a custom jacket made for it. I was told that the salon would research some options online and recommended that I set up an appointment with the seamstress. I followed up on Monday and received an apology and promise that I would be called the next day. This was almost two weeks ago, and I have heard nothing. Ive since found my dress at another salon, but was pretty disappointed in Jay Wests lack of follow up.

POOR POOR POOR...Please read....I am like many of you, I read the reviews and say to myself People only write on here if they had a bad experience. I should have listened to the 10 out of 30 stars on here this time!! She said to me once Ive been in business for 45 years...I DO NOT HAVE ANY IDEA HOW...she gives every designer a bad name, I would not sell my name at that store..I wouldnt send my worst enemy here...She was the ONLY thing that made me cry during my planning and the ONLY part of my planning that I stressed about and didnt enjoy. She must secretly like to destroy brides big days!! Trust me, please...Some other place has the dress of your dreams...I ordered 10 bridesmaid dresses from Jay West, spent over $2,000 at the store and I wish I could get every penny back. I dont even know where to start. We ordered the dresses and were told they would be in in December. They did not come in until late January!! My wedding dress (which I purchased at a different salon THANK GOD) came in quicker than the bridesmaid dresses!!! I had someone contact me and made an appointment for alterations for one of my girls, I drove the hour and a half up for the appointment, just for one of the managers to come out and tell me that my dresses were not even in yet and that they were on a truck. They had been on a truck for 3 weeks?!?!?! The dresses came in a different shade than they showed me. The worst part was I took one of my girls their dress and somehow the allure tag with the size was ripped out of the dress. The dress did not fit her, it was two sizes too small!!! When the owner, Sue, was confronted she said she had no idea how that would happen, the tag must have mysteriously came off the dress. They also crossed off the correct size on my receipt and wrote in the size they actually sent!! We called the bridal designer who was furious because they would never send a dress without tags so when Allure bridal called Sue, she blamed us for ripping the tags out!! She ordered two sizes too small and tried to cover it up, shady shady shady...

I would recommend Jay West to any bride looking for a fun and easy wedding dress shopping experience. They had an amazing selection and really listened to my style preferences before pulling dresses to try on. I never once felt rushed to make a decision. I cannot rave enough about my experiences at Jay West. In high school I bought my dresses from Jay West but then it came to picking a wedding dress as an adult which is much more serious and personal. I worked with 4 different ladies throughout the course of picking out my dress, picking out my veil, shoes, Mother of the Bride dress for my mom, bridesmaids jewelry and clutches. They made picking out my wedding dress so much fun. They were nothing but honest and helpful throughout the process. They worked with me to find which ones would fit in my budget and took SO MUCH TIME with us. Their time was worth all of the money in the world because these choices are not easy and I am very indecisive. I could go on and on about my different visits there picking out different items for my wedding but they always made me feel welcome even when I did not make an appointment. Other bridal stores completely shun you and ignore you if you do not make an appointment. I wish I remembered all of the ladies names that helped us at Jay West. Sue was unbelievable and was helpful when I picked out my wedding dress veil, shoes and bridal jewelry. Carol did a FABULOUS job helping my mother find a perfect mother of the bride dress, shoes, jewelry and all of my bridesmaids jewelry even in the insanity of girls prom dress shopping. I am so grateful and happy with my experience at Jay West!

I would never recommend this bridal shop to anyone. It has been absolute hell for the bride and me the matron of honor. The bride had her alterations done and they were completely wrong and then proceeded to tell her they couldnt fix it when she told them she was not happy. The seamstress Antoinette never showed up to my alteration app. And proceeded to say she never made the appointment with me which is a lie because I called two days before my app. To confirm. She then had some woman at the shop take pictures while I was in the bridesmaids dress so she could start the alteration process and when I went today she randomly added material to each side so the dress was huge on me. I was so unhappy I told her I was taking my dress somewhere else. She charged me 60$ and never proceeded to tell me it was cash or check. There is not one sign in the store that says that for alterations. Definitely do not go to this place for your wedding gown, bridesmaids, or alterations.

I had a great experience here! While MOB dress shopping, on national bridal sale day I found a second wedding dress for just $99!! The seamstress did a great job on the alterations. Everyone I worked with was very friendly!

I had a great experience shopping here for my wedding dress. I ended up finding my dress somewhere else but the staff was so kind and helpful. It was a great atmosphere and they had a large and diverse selection and many were very resonably priced. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a gown.

My sister had to bump up her wedding up 5 months suddenly when she found out she had breast cancer, which meant that I had to rush around and find a bridesmaid dress last minute. I searched tirelessly through dozens of bridal salons; only to be told it was too late to order a dress or even pick a dress off the rack and get alterations in time, until I went to Jay West. Not only were they extremely accommodating, but they were also very professional and understanding. They immediately directed me to the racks of dresses that I could buy without ordering AND made sure I received impeccable alterations within 1 week of picking the dress. I have told everyone I know how wonderful they were, and will continue to recommend them to anyone else who is looking for a great bridal salon to go to! I was recommended to go to Jay West from a friend who bought her wedding dress here and was refereed to ask for Melissa and I am SO happy that I did. Melissa was (and still is) incredible at what she does. Having been to other dress shops, I was nervous that I was trying on too many dresses and asked her if I had a certain amount of time to try on dresses before they kicked me out (I had only an hour at the last shop) and she laughed and told me that I could take as long as I wanted. What a relief! I had fallen in love with a dress at another bridal shop but loved Melissas customer service so much that I asked them to order the dress for me. My dress came in and I am in the process of alterations now and I really love my seamstress. I cannot wait until my wedding day to show off this beautiful dress. The dresses were not protected in plastic. The beads were falling off and some hooks were missing off of several dresses that we tried on. Same prices as Jans and Jans has their gowns protected in plastic and treated with care. My daughter and I were shocked at Jay West today. The staff was very nice but pushy in buying the dress or ordering a dress in a size that we didnt try on yet and wanted the payment. I recommend getting satin dresses there but anything beaded I wouldnt bother with over all the dresses are beautiful but just mistreated.

The customer service at this store is unparalleled. My stylist Melissa knew their inventory inside and out. And with every comment I made about a dress I tried on, she was running downstairs to pick up 2 more dresses that had ALL the aspects I liked. She also did not pressure me in the least. I tried I one dress I absolutely loved. I asked the price and when I said it was out of my price range, back on the rack it went. There was no well just leave it here just in case. I really appreciated that. I paid a little more than I had budgeted for my wedding dress, but the top notch customer service was well worth it. After having gone to 3 other boutiques I knew Jay West was the one I wanted to support with my purchase.

Kathy was extremely rude and disrespectful to my fiancé and her family. This was my fiancés first time wedding dress shopping. Not only was she rushed but Kathy made her feel like an inconvenience for wanting to try on multiple dresses. This should have been a comfortable, fun and exciting experience. Kathy completely ruined it and we have decided to take our business elsewhere.

So, I read the reviews online first before I went there and I actually ended up making an appointment somewhere else because of all the negative comments about the service.I went to this other place that was actually terrible and JAY WEST was right down the street and I already had an appointment set up so I went. I had 6 girls with me.They were very accommodating, the woman who dealt with me ( I forget her name ) but she was VERY nice I could go on for days she was accommodating, nice to my family, showed me different belt/veil options over all I had a great experience there..Ill do another review LATER int he year after I had my alterations and everything completed.

One of the staff kept pointing finger at my friend when we went to complain about the bridal gown fitting. We had concern about how tailoring would affect the overall dress appearance with the intricate lace bodice. They dont even have basic knowledge of tailoring other than the dress could be taken in. For a $1800 bridal gown, they provided zero confidence for the bride. For a business specialized in gowns, especially expensive bridal gowns, their customer service and lack of basic knowledge is unacceptable.

The Most RUDELY treated I have been treated at a bridal store. I Walked in there to look at a dress I knew I wanted for my bridesmaids, a large family was being helped at the checkout, I saw the dress I was interested in and headed towards it only to he rudely jumped in front of by an obnoxious woman who told me We closed at four the door should have been locked I looked around at the other people being helped by the associates and told her politely Id just like to quickly look at this dress Im interested in buying for my bidesmaids and walked past her, it took me less than 3 minutes to look at in which time I received dirty stares from the woman and in which time the other customers were still being helped. Word of advice: You are a professional business, if you want customers you dont make them leave during business hours!

Amazing ExperienceAfter booking an appt at a different shop and not finding the wedding dress of my dreams me, my mom and two sister decided to take a chance and walk down to Jay West on a Saturday. Within minutes we were greeted and we explained to them we did not have an appt. The women told us to give her a few minutes to see how busy they were and would let us know if they could assist us. We ended up being helped by Sue. Sue was amazing, attentive, and personable. She was witty and full of positive energy. Never once did I feel rushed and she was so helpful and supportive in picking the perfect gown. She even had me take some dresses off immediately because we both knew they were a no go. I can not recommend sue and jay west any more!!! Thank you for helping me find my wedding dress!!

I walked into this bridal store with a bridesmaid of mine and was expecting someone to come up and help us, the employees were all just at the front desk talking, if they were busy I would have understood. Ive had a tough year losing both my father and brother so planning my wedding is not easy for me this was one of the first steps besides finding the venue i was excited for. Unfortunately nobody came up to me for about half an hour and when they did they barely seemed interested and basically walked away. It was very disappointing I honestly felt judged which made me upset and we just left which was unfortunate because i did find the perfect bridesmaid dresses there.

Do not buy your dress here! When my dress came in, it clearly did not fit properly. The associate accused me of gaining weight over the holidays. Once they admitted the dress was mis marked they ordered me a new one. The new one came in and fit. I brought the dress home without thinking that i needed to try it on again, well i should have. They switched dresses on me. Now Im stuck 4 months before my wedding with having to pay an arm and a leg for alterations or try and find a new dress.

Ive had the most AMAZING experience with Jay West. I was referred there by several people, and can honestly say they went above and beyond what I expected. I am a bride that did all my business with Jay West. From my first visit there to my last dress fitting, I loved every second of going there. Every single person that worked there would come down and tell me how beautiful I looked every time I put on my gown. The owner, Sue, is great. We werent sure why my vail hadnt came in yet, but she personally called me to assure everything was going to be fine. I bought all of my accessories there as well. Everyone there was so happy to help. Wedding planning is a very stressful time, and they took care of everything for me. I LOVE JAY WEST BRIDAL

Sue was amazing. NEVER made me feel rushed, even when the shop got busy. Had a good sense of what I would like, and was never pushy. She really knew what she was doing and made me very comfortable and made the experience fun and enjoyable just like it should be!

We ordered a $450 brides maid dress. When it came in it was the wrong color. It was supposed to be a coral color but it came in a dark pink color. When I pointed the color difference out the woman simply said shes the only person in your party. No one will know its wrong. I know its wrong. She spent a lot of money on the dress. They didnt care that I was unhappy. In fact the woman walked away from me and went up front to another employee and talked about me in a negative way. Please tell your friends to never shop here. These women are rude and inconsiderate. I have no idea how they are still in business. I wish we would have gone to the country bridal shop that is one block away from Jay West.

Do I have a review for this store??? My sister was going to prom. We had someone make a dress for her. As she was putting on the dress to go to prom, the dress had SO MUCH wrong with it! We had two hours to find out what to do. My fiancée had purchased her wedding dress at Jay West so she called and told them we were heading over there to try and get a replacement dress. We walked in and three people were waiting to help. She tried on two dresses and when she chose the second, one of the people immediately went to look for accessories as the other two fixed the dress on her. JAY WEST SAVED THE DAY!!!!!!! Thank you soooo much!!!!

I wrote a review 7 months ago and now im ready for my update:The dress came in about 1 week after they said it would originally due to the designer delaying shipment. I did keep calling because I had nightmares about it and they were very understanding of my anxiety.The dress came in, tried it on, got alterations which cost me 260. for a take in, cups, hem, and a 8 clip bustle.dress will be ready for pick up Feb 12. Cant wait!

For bridal, they rushed me through my appointment and werent accommodating in the least. Despite our negative experience, we still went back for a mother of the bride dress. Unfortunately, this experience was worse. The woman pulled two dresses and gave us no guidance. She didnt even help us in the fitting room. The woman made it seem foolish that we were getting my moms dress too early. Overall, she showed no emotion and had zero interest in helping us.Most important, there was another Mother of the Bride receiving help from three different employees at once! It was very different from the positive experience we had at Jans Boutique 20 minutes prior.

Ive been there twice and they were very nice and professional.

Unlike most reviews on here I actually have had a positive experience every time I have been there.First was in January, I made an appointment on a Sunday. I took the very first time slot for the day since I booked it about a month ahead of time. It was just myself and my mother in the shop. Our attendant was great. I showed her a few pictures of what I liked and she went thru the racks picking me out dresses and a few unexpected ones for giggles. We took our time, trying on about 10 dresses until I retried on the third dress and said yes to the dress!Second appoint was for a fitting. This time it was a Saturday and I had four people with me to see the dress. I went on a Saturday which was a lot busier. We were near prom season so it was packed. I did wait a bit past my appointment time. Still they made time for me downstairs to have pictures taken with my friends and family.I made an impromptu appearance there looking at bridesmaid dresses. Even with no appointment they let me try on anything we wanted and used the dressing rooms in the back. I really can say the more dressed up you are when you do go in there the more attention you get but it is Haddonfield. That being said they never made me feel bad about staying in a budget or looking at prices. We got my dress, mother of the groom dress and three bridesmaids dresses there.

The night staff were great,our consultant was fantastic !Dont go during the day.The two older ladies are horrible.

Nice variety but very tight in the dressing area

Please do not even give this place a minute of your time. My daughter and I walked in there recently on a Wednesday afternoon, middle of the week, without an appointment, just to see what they had. My daughter was looking for a wedding gown for herself and dresses for her 8 bridesmaids. When we walked in the door NO ONE even looked our way. All 3 saleswomen were with other customers so we began to look around ourselves. After about 20 minutes of looking around, we decided that this store had nothing for us. Their dresses were cheap and ugly. But again, no one stopped to say sorry ladies we are with customers but someone will be with you soon, or please feel free to look around, someone will be with you soon. NOTHING! no one said a single word! Although they looked shocked when we walked out, but then again, not even a have a nice day, thank you for stopping. They literally ignored their customers. I guess if you dont have an appointment, you are not worthy of their time. So, we walked directly across the street, to Country Way Bridal, again without an appointment, but the young owner was so gracious and helpful. She understood the vision my daughter had for her dress and immediately began to show us a least a half dozen dresses for my daughter to try on. She was so incredibly helpful. She spent about 1 1/2 hours with us and my daughter will be buying her wedding gown from Country Way, and if possible, her bridesmaids dresses as well. Their dresses were beautiful, and of such a better quality in both design and fabric than Jay West.BIG mistake Jay West, HUGE!! Cant believe you are still in Haddonfield. Went in to browse, booked an appointment for the next day and bought the second dress I tried on. The staff listened to what i I was looking for and really delivered.

NEVER GO THERE!!!THE worst customer service EVER. Rude sales people. I took my two nieces there this past saturday for Prom dress shopping. I must say, it not what you say but how you say it. I could tell from the moment we walked in that we were being ignored. I am Asian American, Southeast Asian, maybe that has something to do with the way we were treated. A saled woman, blond with orange eye brows...rude. It wasnt bust in there since it was raining out. We walked around and the lady with the orange eye brow says to my niece, whats your name in an annoyed tone. I know that they take names so that they can write down your possible order (size or dress). (We took, all together, four dresses into the fitting room.) Of course there were no signs so I took a few pics of my nieces dress and orange eye brow lady yells, no pctures! Not a Im sorry, no pictures allowed or some niceties of the sort. After about 25 minutes in the fitting room we couldnt find anything so I went and found a fourth one, and the lady with the orange eye brow told us that we couldnt take anymore in because, theres a line waiting for the fitting. I looked around, no line AT ALL.About 45 minutes went by, my two nieces share one fitting room the entire time. They were getting dressed as I tried to put the dresses back in their wardrobe hanger and orange brow lady walks ove and snaps, air brushing my hands out of the way, No I got it she said.Enough is enough. I sucked it in because I didnt want to miss out on finding the righ dresses for the girls but it was time to leave. Enough is enough. We went to other dress shop, I was still fuming and mentioned the situation to ther other shops and was told that it happens all the time.Jay West really needs to teach a course of proper Customer Service to their sales people. They are really losing money. I was completely ready to spend some good cash that day. Like in Pretty Woman, these sales people missed out.
