Im very happy with my recent eye exam. Everyone was accommodating and professional. Each step was explained and my questions and concerns were handled extremely well. I wasnt rushed which was nice. I highly recommend this office for your next eye exam.

Fantastic experience! Staying safe and taking the virus seriously while also being extremely caring. Every time I have been, I felt like the doctor and the assistants were patient and helpful, happy to answer any questions or concerns Ive had.

First time at this eye dr and both times have called me to confirm appointment. We showed up earlier than they said when they called and they told me that my appointment had already passed and they would not let me in. BOTH TIMES!! When I told them they messed up and showed the voice mail to prove it the lady at the front desk just looked at me. No explanation or apology for the inconvenience or miscommunication. She was unhelpful. How does this happen twice?? Very unprofessional. We will not be trying to schedule an appointment again! Very disappointed! This is very inconvenient due to the fact we waiting a while for this appointment in the first place.

The doctors and office workers are really nice. However, the people who work in the frames department are horrible. They do not tell the truth about your insurance and how much they pay to get you to pay more money out of your pocket. They do not want you to bring in your own frams just but there expensive and dull looking frames. They told me that I could not get my frames because the frame would not hold the prescription. I went across the street to pearle vision center and had my progressive prescription put in the frames I wanted. I happily paid out my pocket to do so. You need to get more polite and professional people working with the frames. I would never return to your vision centet

Good DR. Unfortunately I cant rate lower. They charge you insurance for your glasses without even telling you. I requested multiple times a refund they say Ill do it right now and I will send you a confirmation email and they dont do anything. Be really careful with your bill because even reading more reviews I was not the first one.

I had my annual appointment setup and was a bit worried now that Doctor Blake is gone. I showed up about 15 minutes early and the person at the desk greeted me and asked me to update a few forms. I had just handed in the forms and the Technician came over to greet me. We exchanged pleasantries and she brought me in the office to verify my prescription, test my eye pressure and did a retinal imaging. The tech was very friendly, was a good conversationalist and made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She brought me to the examination room and I waited for the Doctor. The doctor showed up in a few minutes and was very friendly and pleasant. She interviewed me and asked if I was having any issues or new problem. She did a very thorough exam and was able to prescribe something for my dry eyes. I was then brought to the front desk and offered a glass fitting, but I needed to return to work and declined. My appointment was completed in less than an hour and I was very happy that everyone there was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and engaged.

This is the DMV of eye doctors. If you have a few hours with nothing to do, this will easily eat through 2-3 hours of your life for just an exam and to pick out frames. They manage to get cash out of you even when you have insurance and stay within your guidelines. Ive been to 8 different eye doctors in my life, this was easily the absolute worst. The workers are nice but that doesnt equate to a pleasurable experience.

I dont know about you but every eye drs office Ive been to have been strange. Drs are nice but their office staff are snooty. Or vice versa... here at My Eye Dr in Hamden everyone is great!!! The drs are nice and their staff are uniquely their own kind of nice. They have the greatest music playing whenever I go in there. Makes waiting more pleasurable. My 15 yrs old son with an attitude about wearing glasses even liked them. They fixed my sons glasses right away and tightened mine. Give them a try... very friendly and professional

Short story, 3 hours over two days and they couldnt even find my correct insurance benefits. I no longer wanted to give them any business so I asked for my prescriptions and left. Avoid at all costs.EDIT: This could have been avoided if theyd bothered to read my insurance card. Even worse, their manager Cindy flat out lied about what card I provided them. Its hard to believe they are that incompetent and still be involved with anything medically related. 0/5

Clean, neat and professional. Justin at the front desk was kind but a little too quite. Dione (not sure if that’s how you spell it) she was great! On point with every aspect of what she did. The doctor (can’t remember her name) was also kind and very detailed. I didn’t like it though that I wasn’t informed that my eyes were going to be dilated on the spot or I HAD TO PAY $20 for some special pics that (insurance didn’t cover). This is something that should be told to patients during the check in process or doing the initial new patient appointment making. I really didn’t have a choice but to pay the $20 since I was at work and couldn’t go the rest of the day with blurry vision. Lastly the (WORST PART OF MY VISIT) the reason for my 3 star review was the last person/area I went to. She spoke very fast and didn’t have her name tag on. She walked to be to what was covered by my insurance spoke to fast I could barely understand her then she sort of rushed me and took to all the another frames that had copays (again she spoke to fast) I felt like I was in a infomercial. After I took my time and chose my frames I asked her name again and at that moment she put her name tag on. She was ok at her customer service skills but could use a lot more training she seemed way to salesy and There was no personal connection that made Be want to purchase anything. i must say the turn around time for my glasses was so fast! And that I loved.

I have appointment at 1pm and my husband at 1:15 pm we arrive 10 minutes late because traffic, no patients at the office just my husband and me, went I check in they say they have to cancel me becouse we went late and they give us attitude, we never going back to them... Very unprofessional

I was a patient of Dr. Blake for several years. Sadly, he is gone. I recently had an eye exam and ordered glasses. I called on the day the were to be ready and they were not. I was told the pair failed inspection and that new glasses would be made and they would call me when they came in. I called today and the new glasses came in yesterday. No one had called me then or today. Instead of making up for the previous delay they found it was too much trouble to call me. I called the corporation and this office is corporate owned and they did not know who Jaelly is. I am done with this company. **** A reply to the answer given. I already did reach out to the store manager and she was the problem. This same office also tried to over bill my mother.I contacted the store and they promised to sent a letter of correction. One month later: No letter. They are incompetent and have a pirate mentality. And plenty of arrogance.

My family was a parient of Dr. Blakes for 15 years he and his staff were wonderful! The new staff leaves a lot to be desired RUDE!!! I do not know about the doctor as my daughter and I were turned away for being late. We received robo call prior to appt. and that is the time we went. No explanation no I’m sorry we regret we can’t see you. Just your too late. There was no one waiting. We waited almost 2 months for the appt. My daughter is heading back to college and this left us in a very bad spot, she was down to one contact. Sorry doc you just lost 3 patients due to your staff!

Horrible customer service. Called several times to order contacts and was told they would call me back No follow up with return calls I had to keep calling the office to have them follow through with order Not once but two times when I needed a renewal!

The worst eye examination i ever had in my whole life.The first time was bad and i thought let me give it a chance maybe this one will be better but it was worse.Both eye doctors were hacks.one worse than the other.never returning there.Its a sham eye exam.
