I recently moved to Connecticut and was apprehensive about a new eye doctor. I have very poor vision and became very comfortable with my former doctor. However, I was very pleased with this office and all of its employees. The doctor is absolutely wonderful and very thorough, and all employees are extremely helpful and kind. The only negative is that Insurance is considered out of network for my vision plan, so I have to fill out paperwork to get coverage. An extra step, but the nice woman at the front desk was very helpful with providing information as to how to fill out the form and the steps to take, so I feel much better about it. I would highly recommend this office!

I visited OmniVision as a new patient for my first appointment on Friday. I was so impressed with how personal and thorough my appointment was. Dr. Hochberg is the best optometrist I’ve ever worked with. He’s knowledgeable and efficient, and the first one who ever recommended downgrading my prescription, resulting in much less strains on my eyes. Omnivision is on top of all the safety protocols for eye exams visits. From arrival, temp taking and distanced seating, although I was the only patient seated, the staff were extremely friendly and proficient in getting me into the exam rooms. It appeared that every surface to be itilized was cleaned before my use, the staff wiping down the surfaces with disinfectant. Of course Dr. Hochberg was this usual outgoing person, masked and maintaining all protocols. It seems he and the staff have adjusted flawlessly to the new way of doing in person visits. Thanks to all who made this visit safe and comfortable.

This was my first visit to OmniVision for a routine eye exam. All of the staff, technologists, and Dr. Louis Hochberg were excellent. My visit to the office, which happened to be during the COVID pandemic, happened without flaw. All social distancing, sanitizing, and pre-screening guidelines were followed and the staff were very respectful of my time as well as the other patients in the office. I was able to voice all of my eye-related concerns with the Optometrist who took the time to help me find innovative solutions for my day-to-day routines to help prevent further eye strain. Working in medicine as a manager for the Yale New Haven Health System, I have built trust in this practice and will recommend OmniVision to my friends, family, and patients for their routine, and disease-related eye care.

I just want to give a shout-out to the current crew of assistants that Dr. Hochberg has assembled. Theyre terrific. When my glasses broke unexpectedly, one of them was able to slot me in for an appointment right away, and then they all helped me pick out three fantastic frames for daily wear, reading, and high-intensity sports. The three of them are warm, friendly, and professional, and theyre obviously totally skilled at their jobs. They also clearly work well together as a group, so the whole office has a really great atmosphere. Ive been seeing Dr. Hochberg for years, and hes always managed to find excellent assistants, but this is the best group yet.

Prompt, professional service. Dr. Hochberg takes the time to explain what hes doing, whats going on, what he recommends. His assistants introduce themselves (important in my estimation) and are competent and respectful. All around, A+.

We used to have no problems going here with billing and appointments. As of lately there has been such a turn over in office staff nothing is happening correctly. I was billed a copay and not have been and have been trying to get a refund for a month mow with no luck. I will be going elsewhere for my eye care.

The staff and doctor at Omnivision are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The exams themselves are actually pleasant and they explain what theyre testing and what theyve found every step of the way. The optician, Nina, is amazing. One thing she taught me: if you go in and the optician is busy, you have two choices; (1) wait for the optician or (2) wait for the optician.
