Abbey made mess with my hair, that could not be fixed with a professional hair depressed in one section either. She def needs more experience.Added to this review on Oct 31-2021; the hair was further fixed by Whitney. She did an excellent job in fixing the color. although the time was not enough and she asked me for another visit within a month.Dear Ulta Customer Service, thank you for your reply and being responsive.

Initially the cashier checking me out was very friendly however as soon as i rejected giving my number for rewards he became a bit hostile. He gave me a spiel about the benefits (which was no problem, i used to work in customer service and understand it’s his job) but when i made it clear i was not interested, he let out a dramatic sigh and gave me a cold shoulder for the rest of the transaction. I’m aware of the pressures employees get from upper management about boosting rewards, but if a customer says they’re not interested, say no problem and move along. Customers aren’t entitled to sign up for rewards and there’s no need to be rude when they say no.

This location in Hamden has extremely welcoming employees. Every time I go to visit Ulta the employees they are very accommodating. Theyre very knowledgeable and just downright pleasant. We need more of this in the world Thank you ladies!

Never posted a review for a business before, but the customer service here is truly wonderful and deserves praise. I dont wear a ton of makeup regularly, but the woman who helped me here was able to quickly find the perfect products for my skin tone. The makeup looks so great I may even wear everyday. I will be returning! :)

I went in for highlights and the girl used the balayage technique, it looked nice the first 2 days until I washed it. My hair went from brown to blonde in a matter of 2 weeks. I went back and they did a correction coloring with a darker shade. Looked darker and I was happy. Fast forward a few days and it starts to fade AGAIN, this time to red. I am using biolage shampoo for color treated hair, within about 2 weeks I have pretty much full blown red/strawberry blonde hair with some spots of brown towards the end. I will not be going back to Ulta for them to correct it this time. Unfortunately, I will have to pay to have it highlighted somewhere else. I am very unhappy with my hair and the results from Ulta Salon.

Excellent store! Great beauty variety for hair skin perfume etc. So many gifts and stocking stuffers. Couldnt help but to find a few and also picked up a good mascara. They also offer almost every nail color imaginable! Everyone there is so helpful and friendly!

Upon walking into the store, I was greeted by bright and engaging workers that made me feel welcome. It is my checkout experience that has inspired me to write my 5 star review. The girls up front had one of the rudest customers I have ever witnessed. The woman was leaning over the counter, disregarding Covid barriers to loudly berate the girl behind the desk trying to help her. Throughout the whole ordeal, while this woman made me feel very uncomfortable, it was the level head and professionalism of the workers that made me stay. They kindly explained policy to the customer while she attempted to escalate the situation. The individuals behind the desk remained professional through the whole ordeal, somehow managed to calm her down, sell her her items and get her out of the store. I have seen many retail workers go above and beyond and they absolutely deserve recognition and credit when they do. So 5 stars for Ulta in Hamden. Defiantly my main Ulta store from now on.

I really like this location. Clinique staff is excellent and they had everything in stock I was looking for. I would recommend avoiding closing time. Turning the lights off is a little unsettling.

One star because I found the product I needed and one for the cashier who was at least friendly, other than that I couldn’t even browse without constantly seeing staff over my shoulder which is super annoying. I wanted to buy more products that I needed but feeling watched while shopping isn’t a nice shopping experience. I also wasnt even greeted coming in or leaving. I’ll stick to the Milford Location that I usually go to or online.

The store is very organized.The staff hang out by the entrance, sometimes I get a greeting and sometimes not. Five stars will be given once the staff greet and help customers regularly.

Rude rude rude I have never been treated this horrible ever.Cashier told me my credit card didnt work embarrassed me found out at my bank card was fine it was theyre system went back to explain was hoping to get apologize . No way she was even ruder never will go back again

Not much of a selection, the associates are not helpful at all but do keep an eye on you. They hang out in the front of the store by the entrance and dont even greet you, just having their own personal conversations. Very tight layout, compared to the old North Haven store.

Beautiful new store, huge MAC counter right when you walk in. I am leaving off 1 star because when I was looking for a specific ELF eyebrow pencil (Wed 7/24) the blonde woman who was restocking the shelf in that area had such a nasty attitude when I had politely told her that I was looking for something on the bottom shelf. She had to get up and move and wasnt very happy about it. Other than that woman, the rest of the staff was very welcoming! I might return

The staff are very customer friendly, professional and hands on. The Clinique makeup artist-Rebecca gave me a phenomenal makeover. She was kind and answered all of my questions. Her makeup was flawless on her skin which prompted me to get a makeover. They all wore a pink streak in their hair for breast cancer awareness month which I thought was heartwarming.

I’m sticking to the nice staff at Milford’s location after I gave Hamden 4 chances. The staff is rude, disrespectful and twice no one was manning the cashwrap. The manager was condescending and the not helpful when I asked for assistance.

I have found this store to be immaculate. Staff are knowledgable and friendly.It’s a “no pressure” environment with all price levels of beauty products for teens through seniors who may need more moisturizing or simply have favorites they are used too in the high end spectrum.I look forward to returning. I must say to the above statements please ignore the negative as this store stands out in its location and deserves NO NEGATIVE REVIEWS.I did receive a broken item (in packaging). I’m doubting there will be any issue exchanging it with receipt.in 24 hrs.As an electrologist, Cidesco certified esthetician and now also a medically licensed phlebotomist, I am knowledgeable of ingredients and skin care.It’s all here in one location. Know your products before offering criticism.I highly recommend this store, especially the manager. Alexander.....classy and friendly to all!

I hardly ever go to Ulta. Found the item I needed then was looking at the matching setting spray, a young man gave a harsh annoyed scuseme!!! and rushed me out of the area to assist a customer. Happy to stop at Sephora to get the items I needed.

4 salespeople standing around the front door chatting, only one to handle the line of people at the register. Saying hello and goodbye once a customer is out the vestibule isnt great customer service.

I was kept on hold for 15 minutes, hung up the phone called back and put me on hold for another 10, I hung up and called back they put me on hoyld AGAIN! And never came back to the phone, by that time its was 9pm and the store was closed. I was going to come if they had the product I was looking for. Customer lost! Oh well!
