I absolutely love love LOVE Hula Girls Shaved Ice! Everything here tastes incredible and is prepared with care. I have ordered many different dole whips and shaved ice floats from here and I have been very happy with all of them. One of my favorites which isnt always on the menu, but I hope it comes back soon is the raspberry dole whip. The best!

Unique experience with many options! There is a nice outdoor seating niche with Hawaiian music for a quick escape.Id like to try all the vegan options! I saw all kinds of people enjoying beautiful frozen desserts. I do mean beautiful.It was really fun.

I highly recommend this place for authentic, Hawaiian-style shave ice and Disneyland-quality Dole Whips. We came during a particularly brutal heatwave day with a long line of people waiting for their orders but the quality and service was still great.I was especially impressed with their COVID-19 safety protocols, giving us a safe way to get a bit of summer normalcy. You order and pay online, and then pick up your order in a contactless manner, complete with take-away packaging. And even while slammed, they surprised us with a treat for our dog! Well be making plenty more visits.

The amount of originality Hula Girls puts into everything they do is amazing. From their speciality loaded Dole Whip creations to their home made ice creams. Then they make all their shave ice flavors in house as well so you know that even for a treat, you arent putting junk into your body.If you ever get the chance, sit down and chat with Jason or Kelly, or one of their daughters, youll get some crazy stories and theyll do their best to make you feel at home. My friend Pete S. loves this place so I checked them out a couple months ago.Because of the pandemic they are utilising online ordering ONLY. Even if you show up to order in person they make you order online, which is a little annoying but I understand it.I got their Hawaiian Sunset Shave Ice: A blend of our Guava, Mango, Lilikoi, Pineapple and Strawberry Syrups. It was so refreshing and delicious! Perfect on a hot summer day.Theyre located in a large plaza with plenty of parking so there is no excuse not to go try them out :)

What a wonderful delight this place is. You literally get Disneyland level dole whips. Brings you back to your favorite place on earth while its shut down for covid. Terrific shave ice. Now that its getting warmer out, I will sure be coming here again more often!

Worse shaved ice. Paid $20 for 4 sno cones with little to no syrup. We got it as an online order so couldn’t get more syrup added. Covid plays havoc with businesses. This one prob won’t survive. And it won’t be missed.

This little gem is awesome! Apparently it is vegan. It is really creamy and they are very generous with their portions. It was fantastic! Kind of a pain that they dont accept cash and you cant order while there. Everything must be done via the app. That is pretty annoying and they have lost a lot of my business because of this. Ice cream is an impulse purchase. To have to go to the app, choose what I want, give all my card info and pay is just annoying enough to not go.

This place is as close as you can get to shaved ice from Hawaii. From the atmosphere to the vibes to the service; it made me felt a little less homesick as I left the islands a bit over a decade ago. I actually felt like a got a piece of the island back today in California.I got the Hawaiian Sunset with Dole Whip soft serve. This treat start with Dole Whip at the base of the cup then topped with shaved ice & drizzled with guava syrup, mango syrup, pineapple syrup, lilikoi syrup & strawberry syrup. Then they dressed it with a little swirl of Dole Whip on top to finish the look.It was as good as it can get here in California but no one can beat shaved ice from the islands. Shaved ice from the islands tastes creamier & more condensed but that may be from the condensed milk that I always get. The Dole Whip was cheaper than going to Disneyland but the taste is definitely not the same. I had a Dole Whip at Disneyland last week & it made me felt like I was eating a Dole Whip from Dole Plantation. This Dole Whip that they serve here at Hula Girls is not creamy enough & not tasty enough to make my taste bud want to order more.I will definitely be back to try their other selections of flavors & ice cream combination. Hopefully I will find my favorite; like the ones that I had when I was still living in the islands.

We love this shave ice shop. Its the only place we can get real shave ice outside of Hawaii. Not only is it delicious, the staff is fantastic too. Weve always had an excellent experience with customer service. They are friendly, welcoming, kind, and have gotten to know me and my family. I definitely recommend frequenting this establishment.

Can I give this place ten stars instead of five? We got the root beer floats. They were nothing like a traditional float. They were made from soft serve ice cream, shave ice and I think home made root beer syrup! Yum. I cant wait for the next visit..

It was a great time and the shaved ice hit the spot on a hot day! The only thing that confused me was the prices. She said our order was $15 even and when I told her that only two of the three were with ice cream at the bottom she said okay, but it was still $15? Plus everything was $3.99 or $4.99 so nothing should have added up to an even $15 with or without tax. It just seemed like they made up their prices or maybe there was a promotion for national ice cream day? Who knows? Im just a numbers guy and it didnt add up.

My family and I have been coming here for around 5 years and Hula Girls is awesome! Just came back from Maui and they are every bit as good and actually better that what we had on the Island! No joke!Hula Girlss shave ice is fine and fluffy, not crunchy and coarse like many places. Staff is great and the store is clean.They also have Dole Whip and Mystery ice cream, which is amazing.I would highly recommend checking it out.

Hula Girls is a great place for a cold dessert! The shaved ice is a good portion and tasty. The dole whip flight is also well portioned. The staff is also very friendly and does a good job making sure the place is clean. There are many seats in the store and good for groups up to 4-5. Any bigger and youll have to sit at different tables.

I love this place. Online ordering only. They close at 6pm. Ill always come back.

Weve been coming for 5 years, was my top craving pregnant with my daughter and we enjoy coming every chance we get. Service is fast, friendly and amazing. The owner is one of the kindest people, always says hi to all his guests and always chats with my daughter who can talk anyones ear off.

Having lived in Oahu for many years, it has been really hard finding a good alternative to Shimazus or Matsumotos! But this place is super close and the flavors are taste authentic. Lilikoi was pleasant surprise and really good and my favorite flavor. But, its all about the ice! Theirs is fine and light. We are definitely going back. A great find.

Always such a great experience! There are so many flavors. The Dole whip is absolutely wonderful, they do classic pineapple as well as other flavors that change and they will swirl some of them together. The decor is amazing, lots of tiki room and Disneyland fun. This is a great place for the whole family. It is my sons favorite treat.

AWFUL COMPANY!!!! Confirmed on June 13, cancelled on August 1. Never answered her phone. We hired them for a corporate event, confirmed MONTHS ago and they cancelled last minute. Communication is poor. Cancelled with an email and no courtesy phone call. Owner Kelly is awful and doesn’t respect corporate business. Do NOT use them!!!! They are NOT a good business, Kelly is a LIAR and does AWFUL business.

While I used to live and drive by this block in OC for years, I dont ever recall seeing this place. Until Adam the Woo on YouTube covered it in one of his Southern California eateries, I would patronize the market or the breakfast spot on the corner. Anyways, something very special going on here.

Great shaved ice. Really like the fact that their shaved ice is finely shaved and topped with what seems to be house made syrups. I got the “Hawaiian Sunset” which was one of the flavor combos on their most requested list and it was top notch. I would say that the quality is definitely comparable to the popular shave ice places in Hawaii. Also, the Small size is definitely more than enough for one person. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough syrup so the inside of the shaved ice was bare ice. This is unlike Matsumotos and Waiolas where they completely drench the ice with syrup. Not a big deal though and I’ll definitely be back again!

The atmosphere is really nice. people there are great. its fun to watch them make it. they give you quite a lot. you can share a large between three people - definitely two. the pineapple dole whip and shaved ice combo is perfect for the summer.

I love this place. I drive from Lakewood, which is a couple of cities over, just to have shaved ice. The portions are huge. The owner was a super cool dude. I would definitely recommend this place on a hot or even cold day.

Average spot, I expected better. Flavors taste mainland- not Hawaiian-style. The shave ice is not finely cut. Good for a really hot day, but not worth a commute.

Apparently this is the only Hawaiian ice place in Orange county all of the other stores have closed. I really love this place especially my grandkids, they have so many different flavors and they also mix with vanilla ice cream which is wonderful. I only wish that they would come up with a diabetic version, think about it.😃❤

I love this spot. The shaved ice is amazing and they have Dole Whip so no more waiting in a 20 minute line at Disneyland. I can get a Dole Whip floor any day of the week. The staff is friendly. They also can do parties and corporate events. We used them for a party for about 400 people and turned out amazing.

If you like shaved ice and dole whip, here you can have them together with so many flavors of shaved ice to choose from. A true treasure of a place! My grandkids favorite place for a special treat. And they do private partys for all kinds of occasions. Just ask!

So review take 2. knocked down a star for the owner being too easily offended from the previous review (i didnt do this because now I feel bad for doing it, so I kept it at 4 stars but I really wanted to knock em down a star). I doubt Ill go back. BUT. Yes, the Shave Ice I got in Hilo was a mom and pop store with all the crazy flavors. And yes, the shave ice here was almost the same. The differences are in Hilo I got something that was bigger, cheaper, and on the big island. Also, the named combos are fun and easy to order, but I dont remember seeing those on the big island. and to ME that is pretty gimmicky. That said. Its pretty authentic, and its cheaper than flying to Hawaii.
