Visiting from out of town and we are glad we came here to get some ice-cream. We both ordered two double scope cones of their hard ice-cream.Really enjoyed the Cookies and Cream flavor. They had a lot of flavors to choose from for the hard ice-cream. They did have soft serve and hot food as well. Service was quick and the girl working there was really friendly. They have parking and places to sit around the area. Great experience!

Great place for ice cream. Outstanding selection of flavors and good, but not too big, portions. My daughter had the turtle sundae and it was amazing.

They had a stand at the Erie County Fair. Their young female employee yelled they only accept cash. No there wasnt a need to raise her voice it wasnt loud where I was standing. No sign displaying desired payment accepted. Simply for holding out my DEBIT card. Never heard of this place before August 20, 2021. Next time I want ice cream it wont come from here, nothing special about it anyways.

Wasnt impressed with the flavor taste of the strawberry shortcake hard ice cream. Would like to taste more strawberry. Oh maybe some chunks of graham crackers too.

Great customer service. I went to the Elmwood location last night. The girl that took my order was so sweet to me. She looked very hot and I told her she was doing a great job. She said the line was to the street all night and her coworkers were trying to do their best. The wait wasn’t too long considering the line was very long and it looked like only two people were working. I witnessed many rude people giving her a hard time after me while i was waiting for my ice cream but the worker handled them very politely and calmly. People in the elmwood area are very ignorant my heart goes out to that worker. Definitely will be coming back many times

I would give them 0 stars if I could -probably 20 people in line this evening and they just told everyone to go home -they were closing. I will NEVER go back there!! Too many other places with MUCH better customer service.

The staff is very friendly. We have only had the ice cream so but it was so good. My wife got a waffle cone and it looked like a pint or more ice cream in it.

I was so happy to see that there is a Nick Charlaps on Elmwood so I just had to go! I had last been to the one in Boston about 20 years ago. My son and I had ice cream. Delicious!!! Will definitely be going again and again!

1st time visiting this place. Highly disappointed. Hot dogs were undercooked. The pickles were slipped on top and made the buns soggy. The buns were ripped in half and squished from the tightness of the foil. Same with the burger buns. Fries were grossly undercooked, I’ll say warmed up just a smidge beyond raw. I don’t see myself re-visiting for food, but I may try some of their awesome looking ice cream options.

I have been here twice and both times were pretty good. The first time I ordered a twist in a cone and I loved it. The second time I got a strawberry sundae and it was pretty good. My boyfriend ordered a buttercrunch sundae and said the ice cream seemed a bit freezer burnt. Staff is friendly. I will go back again.

My husband and I just went there for ice cream. Charlaps is one of my husbands favorite places for ice cream. Today he got Peanut Butterfudge and I got Vanilla with peanut butter swirl and chocolate chips frozen yogurt. Both were delicious! I highly recommend this family owned business

Totally inept people working for them. Gave us our food and said they were working on our drinks. Fountain drinks!!!! 5 minutes later he gave me 1 and said he would work on the other?????? Got home, sweet potato fries were burnt. Will never go back there.

The custard i got the first time was flavorless. it tasted like cold milk. I decided to go again and try something else but while I was looking over the menu I told the person at the counter I needed a minute. She then stared at me and huffed and stared so after she obviously didnt get how uncomfortable it is to have someone stare and huff and roll her eyes while trying to mak a decision. I walked away sorry to bother you Ill go elsewhere.

I have gone to Nicks twice now. The first time I order tater tots loaded. After 25 min I received my order and the tater tots were so over done there was no potatoes left in the middle. Just a very crispy outside shell. I tried again today and order a cheeseburg and fries. My cheeseburg was so undercooked and raw in the midde. The fries was dripping in grease. Never again will I go to Nicks.

The milkshakes are good but the soft serve ice cream is always melting right away and tastes like it’s too soft. It gets soupy really fast and is not enjoyable. Also, I feel like the workers haven’t been properly trained.

Ice cream is great here! They have a ton of great options for soft serve and hard serve. Ice cream was thick and tasted great. My only issue was that the chocolate dip was very thin. This building is very cute as well, outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

Please tell those college students that work for you, to change the oil in your fryers! I was disgusted at the French fries I ordered, they were oily and burned. When I returned them, they told me they would give me my money back. Which I did get a refund. But then they both looked at me and said “all the fries are coming out like that!!” I said you need to change your oil. They told me they didn’t know how!! Either you change it or teach them to do their jobs!! Not a happy customer!!

Best ice cream and burger joint in Kenmore.

It was my first time here and I loved it! They serve burgers hot dogs ice cream etc. It was a very hot day so we just got Custard in waffle cones and they were delicious and very generous servings. Got great service from smiling friendly workers. Be sure and check it out! Its a family place and there are picnic tables on both sides where you can eat outside if you like. Nice friendly atmosphere. Well definitely go many more times!

Nick Charlaps Ice Cream is top quality place, always the very best service, selection and ice cream treats. The location on Elmwood Ave in Kenmore is casual with covered outdoor seating.

Great ice cream good service

Recommended by one of my friends praising it to be the best ice cream in Buffalo. It did not disappoint. The cherry burgundy was creamy and not too sweet. The chocolate was excellent and the mocha chocolate was a right balance of coffee/chocolate and nuts. Small portions are bigley, all memorable flavors.

I just dont live this place. They seem to do a good business which is good, but I just think its only ok.

They opened this location in Kenmore last year. Its pretty good ice cream and decent service. It just weirds me out that they dont have any lights at night or a lit sign. Seems like they kind of want to get customers but kind of dont at the same time. Ive had really good ice cream at cool places so you have to do a lot for 4 or 5 stars.

This is our first time here. The custard is smooth and tasty. My husband said his Mexican Sunday was great. Everyone of the three employees smiled as they took care of us. I was very impressed. I’d take a picture but I are half of it already.

My husband and I love Charlaps ice cream. Sadly we went there yesterdaywearing our masks during this covid19 pandemic, only to find other customers were being served without wearing masks. I think Charlaps should require customers to wear masks to protect your workers. Your employees were wearing masks but customers come closer than 6 feet when making their orders. Why dont you consider putting up a sign requesting face masks? Cannot understand why people are not more sensitive to others especially essential workers. Outraged in Kenmore

Charlaps has been one of my favorite places for ice cream since I was a kid. Their house made offering as delicious, with a creamy, flavorful ice cream base. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommended.

This place is the old Reids on Elmwood. The ice cream flavors available were plentiful. Charlaps ice cream is very creamy and flavorfull. They offer hard or soft ice cream. Food options, like most hot dog stands, were normal. The one thing they do offer is a sausage patty. But, no fried peppers or onions available. So chopped raw onions it was. The patty was good and the hot dog was also good. The condiments on my dog made my tool very soggy. That I didnt like. The fries were extremely crunchy. Worth a stop for the delicious ice cream options.

We went for a celebratory dinner after my son got his permit and drove for the first time. We were both super disappointed to find out the grill wasnt open. So we had ice cream for dinner. My butter crunch ice cream cone was yummy

The service was good and the place was clean but we only liked some of the ice cream. With the hard chocolate ice cream, it did not taste like chocolate. The same with the black raspberry. But the butter crunch was good.

The best soft serve Ive had to date and being a hardcore DQ lover my entire life Im not sure I can ever go back now. I can only think of one downside and that the the cone sizes will probably vary visit from visit.

My family and I have been there a few times since they’ve opened. Good food off the grill and great ice cream afterwards. Much more reasonably priced than the ice cream place down the road. Service has always been great; very friendly.

They have a variety of ice cream flavors and different items to choose from they were pretty slow which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I went around 130 and it was only 1 person ahead of us and it took like 10 mins just to get my hard scooped ice cream.

They start with excellent ice cream and then build your order exactly as you ask them. Who could ask for more.

Go to Anderson instead, you will never deal with these issues and quality is same or better.
