I usually have pretty decent service. The last time I was there I waited almost 45 min to get loaded with just non-screened fill dirt. I watched numerous loaders drive past me and didnt load me just looked at me and drove by.

Went here for smooth rocks to use to paint. They were not helpful at all and seemed annoyed by me even being there!

For those who dont know this year has been extremely hard to provide landscaping materials to people what with demand, availability issues, and lack of work force wanting to help. If you see long wait times as a bad review they probably went during the busiest time or dont realize how busy these places get. If you think office staff are less than helpful its probably because they are overworked and have lack of support cause its hard to hire. We are a similar company to Crystal and they have been a great company to me, every time I have interacted with them. For every customer wanting to do landscaping realize Colorado is booming and its hard to keep up with the sheer amount of development, home improvement efforts that this state has. Be patient, be kind, realize staff is doing their best, research your questions on your own time first prior to coming in and wanting someone to educated you on everything because it is not possible. Some of these bad review are obviously Karen types so just take it with a grain of salt.

I agree with the other reviews about poor customer service. The sign as you drive in says that you need to check in at the office before looking around, which I tried to do. However, the people in the office seem pretty disinterested and I stood there for quite a while before anyone asked what I wanted to buy. Finally, I was able to ask if I could look around and they said to wait and somebody would meet me. However, I waited for a few more minutes and finally decided to just walk around on my own, which would have been fine in the first place, except that the sign said to check in at the office which was a big waste of time. And giving it to start just because they seem to have a good selection. I probably wont make my purchase here because its kind of the opposite customer service experience from other similar places.

This review echoes the many poor experiences that others have shared. I had the displeasure of doing business with this establishment today. I wasn’t acknowledged when entering the office, the front desk employee gave me incorrect weighing/loading instructions and one of the yard heavy equipment operators (female teenager) lectured me on how I needed to be patient with the front office staff as they are all new (very apparent) instead of offering an apology for the inconvenience. Quality customer service is difficult to find any more and you most certainly will NOT find it here.

Im a pro, and I own Aquaterra-Outdoor Living, we get all of out materials at Crystal because they are pros. Selection, price, and customer service are unequaled at Crystal and thats why we use them.

I have done business with this company a few times over the last few years and I consistently kept thinking that their customer service would potentially improve but unfortunately I was wrong. It has gotten worse and worse, I have witnessed the manager Shane screaming and cursing at other customers on several occasions for absolutely no reason at all. My delivery this last time was the worst ever, I purchased garden mix and it came with large rocks in it and was shorted from the amount that I ordered. The manager Shane is absolutely running this place into the ground and treating customers like they are always beneath him. My advice would be to not go to this establishment ever as they don’t care about you or your business. They are nothing but a bunch of thieves and the manager Shane is the most self entitled thief of them all. Will never spend my money at this place again as there are plenty of reputable businesses in town where you will get better product and far better service.

I went to crystals today, I had bought all of my rocks and boulders through them over the years. Usually they are great, today I was told scrap flagstone pieces were $2 to$4 per square foot. That makes no sense, these were small pieces.. I feel that because they were busy, I was swept aside. Not acceptable. Totally done with them after today. The owner was there, or should I say his son, and I receiveded the nastiest look from him. Unacceptable .

My husband and I purchased large boulders to decorate our front yard landscape from Crystal Landscape Supplies. We were given colored tape to mark which rocks we wanted, and payed to have them delivered to our home. From the beginning to the end, we felt like the staff was all very professional and helpful. We especially appreciated our delivery driver, Rich, who placed the boulders with a lot of care. He made sure to note where sensitive elements like sprinkler heads were placed, and took the time to let us choose the order and direction each boulder faced. He was a wiz with that Bobcat! We were so happy with the result.

Not a fair deal. We rented a trailer from Home Depot to get a load of Playground Mulch. Calculated how much we needed and 3 cubic yards was perfect. The trailer calculates to ~3.4 cubic yards one inch below the top of the walls. The front end operator dumped the load in which was supposed to be 3 yards and the trailer was only about half full. The operator made a comment about “knowing that look” to us as we starred bewildered at how little we got. We ended up asking for another yard and the second scoop with a smaller bucket was a fair or even generous amount. So we ended up paying for 4 yards and got about 3 based on the trailer and play area calculations. This was our first and definitely last time to do business with Crystal Landscape Supplies. We also needed some shredded cedar mulch and we’re going to come back for a load of that but after this experience, we ended up going to Home Depot and just using the trailer to haul the bags home.

Very rude. Spent almost 300 dollars on stone while being treated like a thief. Checked in on the way in, before browsing. Was approached three times by yard staff, asking if I needed any help. I said yes, eventually, still looking. Once I found what I was after, I then got help loading from the one friendly person encountered, running a forklift. Went into the office to pay, and the cashier rudely informed me I needed to come back in the office and let them know next time, once I decided what I wanted, before loading. Meanwhile, their inventory is scattered all over the sprawling property with no rhyme or reason. I actually wanted another product, so I asked about loading that next. She replied today?!, huffed and puffed and grabbed another invoice. Guess I was inconveniencing her asking her to earn her paycheck. Decided against buying more product, today and ever again.

This is the second time i have ordered Mason sand from Crystal Landscape and this year the quality was terrible. I use this sand to top dress my lawn and the quality of the material this year was filled with pebbles and larger rocks. I ordered 4 tons this year and if you zoom in on the front year you can see the pebbles all over along with the bucket of rocks that I pulled out of it. When ordering sand you expect sand not other junk in the load.

Im a contractor and been every where to buy rock,soil & mulch like everywhere and these people are not only rude but VERY UNPROFESSIONAL will never use them again! Would rather drive 3 hours& get a better deal anyways.

These folks rock (forgive the cheesy pun). This summer we knocked out a bunch of landscaping projects at our home. They delivered rock, mulch, gravel, etc. Excellent communication, excellent prices and friendly staff! Well definitely use them again.

I love Crystal landscaping and have purchased Landscaping materials from them for years.

These guys are awesome. Great selection, great prices, great service. They werent able to get the rock I wanted for a while due to extenuated circumstances but finally got it in. They delivered 15 tons the first day, another 6 tons the next day, then Saturday i needed just a couple more tons. I was driving in from Severance trying to catch them before they closed, called when I was close and they gave me an extra 5 minutes after closing time to get there and get rock before they completely shut down for Memorial Day weekend so I could finish my job. Not many would do that for customers they owe nothing too. Amazing service, always love working with the people here and will absolutely be back.

Really affordable way to get firewood!

I am updating my review that I submitted several months ago. At the time, I thought I was overcharged for delivery. Recently, we hired a landscaper and he used Crystal for his materials, and so I had no choice but to deal with them again. I ended up having a lot of rock and gravel delivered; Crystal made four trips to my place near Livermore. This time the delivery charges were very reasonable and fair. The staff understood my concern from before and were very helpful. I must also say, Crystal has by far the best selection of materials that Ive seen in the area.

This place is unreal! The selection is beyond anything Ive seen. You can go in and pick the exact rock you want and you can buy in such a variety of sizes, anywhere from one single paver to replace a broken one to a pallet of matching rock or pavers, to dump truck loads of rock. Getting help and scheduling was easy and prices seemed quite reasonable. Unless we have some major issue with delivery, this place is going to be my go-to for landscaping stone of every type.

Wow, what can I say, but what a horrible experience. I called this company to ask for dirt and sod to be delivered. I was quoted a price for the product and delivery, which I agreed upon. I gave my payment info and thought I was set up for next day delivery. 30 minutes later I received a phone call that if I picked up the product myself, they would knock off the $80.00 delivery charge. I couldnt pick up the sod and dirt myself because I dont have a truck to do so. I was then told that it would be $70.00 more and 4 days later than the original time set. This seemed weird, but I agreed because I desire to do the project. I then received a phone call saying that I would need to pick up the Sod myself because the company didnt have a way to deliver the sod, but could still deliver the dirt for all the same price. As I explained to the gal on the phone that I needed to cancel the order because I didnt have a way to pick up the sod, and was why I was willing to pay the increased delivery charge to begin with. The woman on the phone then started mocking me and called me a little fishy on the line to the guy next to her..... If I was a small business owner, I would want to know how my people were representing my company, because there will never be a consideration of shopping with Crystal Landscape Supplies again.

I appreciated that even though it had been wet, they sold me the topsoil I needed because I had driven 40 miles and rented a truck to pick up topsoil. Im grateful!

Terrible, rude, stalkerish employees. I went to Crystal Lanscape Supply two times for materials, and the first time, I was treated like a criminal and had a creepy employee hover over me as I loaded my car with pavers. He stood close to me without a mask while talking to me. The whole situation made me nervous. I let an employee in the office know about it, and not only was she clearly disinterested, but when I paid for two extra pavers, she walkie-talkied the same guy to creep over me again. I never gave them any reason to treat me like a criminal. I went right into their office to check in and even got my vehicle weighed, before I started looking at any materials.The second time I went in there was for more pavers. The young woman at the counter ignored me and my questions completely, while ringing me up. She sent me on my way by just putting my receipt on the counter and walking away. It was quite awkward.Two things to note, here, is that their POS system is just that, a POS... it isnt designed to allow for the return of anything less than the complete transaction. So, they have to refund you, then charge you again. If your credit card has a credit limit, you may not be approved for your corrected purchase. The second thing to note is that this place knows that good and friendly customer service isnt important, as their customers arent going to go out of their way to obtain landscape supplies from a good company. Theyre rude and unprofessional, and they arent coy about it... they own it, proudly.

Rock stars!! no pun intended. Went in for some gravel (a tenth the price of hardware stores), they were quick, I was loaded in 2 minutes. I think I was there maybe 10 minutes and most of that was spent chatting with the very nice ladies up front. (my shirt gave me away). This place is the best! Thanks for being such good people! I was doing some work with a skid loader at my house when I was approached by a driver from Crystal that dropped a bunch of mulch at the wrong house. He asked if I could load it all up and move it to the proper house. I did this for them without asking anything. I was told by the driver to come in and they would make it up to you. I went in and they literally said, exactly what are you expecting to get out of this. They made me feel like a bum. They gave me $50.00 worth of pea gravel, it came out to $52 and change. They made me pay the extra $2 and change.I dont care about what theygave me, its just that they didnt say, thank you. At least the driver was grateful.

Today we went in there to try to get wood for the winter to heat our wood stove for our family, customer service was very unprofessional we had questions on wood? the load? The front lady kept looking back for answer to a worker name Shane who had little to say no eye contact he did not want to answers any questions my husband and were stuck looking at each with no answer. Do not go there they will not accommodate you. Im very unhappy !!!!!!

No; wont go there again. After being a long term customer, I purchased a yard and a half of garden mix. I came home and found cement chunks within the garden mix. After unloading this inferior mix into an exactly measured container, I found I was shorted a half a yard. I went back into the office and was treated rudely but given what was due. On another note, NO ONE in the office wearing wearing masks.

As many other reviewers have shared, the office staff is extremely rude and unresponsive. They behave as if helping customers is a tiresome inconvenience. No response to numerous emails, phone messages, phone calls. Completely clueless about how to interact with customers courteously and professionally.My address is Fort Collins Larimer County not City of Fort Collins. They routinely charge me City tax on my orders which is inaccurate based on the delivery address but then they want to argue with me that the website they use tells them gmhow to configure tax. I said your information is inaccurate, thsts not my problem. The response I got was well its not mine either. Actually it IS your problem Crystal Landscape because youre over charging your customers which is illegal!My most recent of many unsatisfactory experiences came today. I was at their facility to pick out a number of large boulders, Colorado Buff slabs, and steps, steppers etc. I was just wrapping up my selections around 12:30pm on a Wednesday when one of their resident yard monkeys with a shaggy red beard pulled up saying they were closing and I had to leave. Didnt ask if I needed help with anything, just gotta get going were closing. I was about ready to spend about $5,000-$7,000 or more but it was clearly more important for Mr. $18/hr to get home.They have a huge selection, hence 2 stars instead of one, but the attitude and lack of professionalism of the staff, especially the manager, are not worth it. Go to Pioneer, Rock Garden...just anywhere but here if you can possibly avoid doing business at this place.

The prices were good until they deliver without providing an accurate delivery estimate. 300$ delivery fee surprise. It was a 15 minute drive! The manager would not discuss this and was pretty rude. Probably not a real working man desk jockey type. I REQUESTED A CALL FROM THE OWNER BY THIS NEVER HAPPENED. Not a good business practice. Probably ok for pick up.Maybe I shouldnt complain I only spent 2500!

Love this place. It is fun to find the right rocks for the project. I have come several times to buy river rock to line flower beds. You can buy a handful or a truckload. Friendly staff that are willing to help.

Went for flagstone. The pallets that people were supposed to pick through were the smallest in size but so thick they are almost useless. Couldnt not buy a full pallet of large sized thinner flagstone. What we did find of the few remaining large pieces were so large that it took three of us to lift. Not a very safe environment either. Maybe check around at a few others before you go to Crystal. On the plus side the staff this morning were friendly.

They have a brilliant selection. Talented loaders and a well kept yard. The office staff you can tell are not to happy to deal with stupid people.But do save yourself they go by scale. So if you ask for a half ton. Make sure you get a half ton. They like to run the scales rather then get you what you asked for.So if you get more then you asked for speak up!

Shannon was our delivery person who smoothly and perfectly placed our big sand stone rocks that we purchased. Really nice professional guy. Also during our first visit, they had us drive a golf cart around to look at all the big rocks. That was super fun and it worked really well. Would recommend this place for sure.

Customer service is poor. They are not particularly interested in helping the customer compared to some of the other companies in town. For rocks, Id recommend The Rock Garden (on the north side of Fort Collins). For timber, Id recommend Cedar Supply (recognizing that they specialize in Cedar). The customer service at both of these other places is great!

We drove 45 minutes to pick up a couple of rocks we needed. They said we couldn’t do any personal loading after 4:30. This is not mentioned on their website. It was only 4:35 when we asked. Will not be coming back.

I own a construction company and love Crystal Landscaping Supplies! The set up is incredibly efficient, the loaders know how to run equipment, they save me valuable time and know what they are doing. Shane and family/company have always taken great care to make sure me and my guys are taken care of. I go out of my way to purchase materials here.

I really enjoy going to this place. Very high quality product. Decent customer service. However I have two issues with it. 1. I cant see you wave off in the morning on the scale because of our great Sun. Its like trying to see the FBI guy in a interrogation room. 2. Your loader acts like that FBI guy. Im trying to do work, not trying to hurt your business, honestly check in before taring in and Im just scrambling trying to find where Im supposed to go, the map direction is literally a finger point out the one sided glass to a general vicinity that usually takes me an extra few minutes to find, would be helpful to have an aerial map view and a light system for scale.

I have been coming here for the past 5 years, and since I first starting going the service has improved. First couple times I went I did not receive a very good inviting experience. Since then I believe they have hired more help in the office and the gals there great you with a smile and provided prompt service.

Got same day delivery at a great price... and then due to a SERIOUS MISCALCULATION on how many cubic yards I needed, they were able to cancel, adjust, refund and even sent me a receipt via text! They were super friendly, and I greatly appreciated them not making me feel like a dope for ordering entirely too much mulch and needing to cancel the delivery! AWESOME company who was appreciative for my business, and absolutely earned my loyalty to their customer service and kindness! THANK YOU!

Have been purchasing from Crystal for landscaping supplies for almost 10 years. Usually very satisfied. Provided specific dimensions for flagstone coverage using 3/4-1 product. They recommended 2 pallets, we only purchased 1. Ended up only using 1/3 pallet and tried to return difference. They refuse to accept returns on flagstone - without notice in the yard, receipt, or even when purchasing. Talked to the extremely rude son who talked to his co-worker instead of to me. Requested owner to call on Monday (2 days later). Did not receive a call until I called again. Then received call from financial person who again said that I should have asked about return policy (even though I under bought)? Worst customer service I have had in years, especially from a family owned business. Pretty sure dad doesnt know the terrible job his kids are doing running his business frustrating long-term customers. Will not do business with them again.

Recently had surgery and came in to load flagstone; one of your yard workers, David I believe was his name, assisted me and actually refused to let me assist in loading due to my limitation with my wrists. Its great to know there still companies out there like you guys who actually seem to get it & care. Thank you!! Looking to find another project around my yard so can get back to yall!

They said we couldnt dump because of the rain. It rained the day before at 10 30 for a hour. It doesnt even make sense.

I called Crystal Landscaping Supply late Friday evening requesting a Saturday morning delivery. The amount of product I requested was a small amount. Crystal Landscaping not only delivered in my time frame, they were reasonably priced. The driver called ahead and arrived 5 minutes earlier than expected. I would highly recommend using this company for all your landscaping supplies.

Crystal Landscape Supplies is one of the best yards I have ever been to. I feel that they are the best in Colorado by far. They have everything I need for projects and their wide selection gives me even more ideas every time I go there. Their mulch, soil, and mix section cannot be beat anywhere.

Pricing was the best I could find. Was happy with them just on price but they went above and beyond helping me calculate all my square footages, setting up my delivering orders with timing that worked for me and then their drivers placed all my material where I wanted it. Had tried Pioneer first but they would only dump in the street. Glad to have found Crystal, they saved my back extra pain with their trucks, even though after the summer of my landscaping its still sore!

Wow this place has the WORST customer service! We went with the intent of purchasing a large quantity of boulders, gravel, patio stone, and soil for our newly constructed home. The sales guy at the counter didn’t even acknowledge us when we walked in. We stood there for a good long 3-4 min without even a hello or eye contact. He was not busy with anything in particular….just sitting at the counter looking the other direction. There was no one else in the office. Finally we asked him for help. We had to dig for information on product and pricing. He seemed very uninterested in helping us. We walked through the yard on our own to look at the products. Nothing was labeled and since the service was so poor and rude we quickly left and decided it was not worth spending thousands of dollars at a place that treats customers this way. We went all the way to Colorado Materials Inc. in Longmont instead and had a much better experience. I would advise anyone interested in landscape materials to look elsewhere….spending your $ at a place like Crystal Landscaping will not be worth the experience!

Great people, prices...in and out quickly.I was worried about overloading the truck, and they took the time to dump it in slowly, so that I could tell them to stop if the suspension couldnt handle it

We ordered product for driveway coverage. Company sent wrong product, but worse, delivery driver did everything he could to make sure we could not inspect the delivery. We were told we would get a call before the product arrived. That call never came, and the rock was already dumped on the ground before we were even aware it had arrived. In an effort to let them make it right, we agreed to repurchase the correct product of they would just redeliver it without charge, and they refused. Customer service is essentially non existent with this company. I would not recommend doing business with them.

They are very rude. Wont say hi or bye when you greet them. Its a depressing atmosphere in the building. The lady with dark hair about shoulder length is especially condescending. Dont ask any questions about anything or you will get the same treatment.

Shane and the crew have a huge selection of landscape materials from decorative rock and mulch, to landscape timbers and polymeric sand. Their materials and delivery prices are the best, and they do a great job getting materials to me right away! Thanks Crystal!

Saw how many reviews said they were RUDE (in caps). I needed some landscape rocks and decided to see for myself. Sign says come in first if you are going to drive around and look. So I went in. The lady looked right at me and turned around and walked off socializing with another office worker. So I walked out. Dont buy here...they dont need the business or care.
