This was my third year in a row ordering bulk mulch from Evans. The first year I ordered 11 yards and it was way too much. Last year I ordered 10 yards and there was still a significant amount left over. This year I decided again to order 10 yards of bulk mulch for the same house, same size plantings and when the order showed up it was noticeably less. I was skeptical and commented but didnt write anything on the delivery invoice and didnt take a picture. Im not a professional so how does one really tell how much was delivered? I knew there was a problem when my son came outside and asked to jump on the pile, and it was an easy jump to the top. Last year he had to climb. My landscaper arrived a day later, got out of his truck and said at most thats 5 yards, its not going to cover your yard. Sure enough, half of my plantings are bare and not only did I still have to pay the landscaper for the full days work, Im out 5 yards of mulch. I called customer service and got the proverbial shoulder shrug since I signed the invoice, didnt take a picture, and didnt have my landscaper measure the number of wheelbarrow loads he took. I disputed the charge with my credit card company but since I signed the delivery invoice (early in the morning when I was barely away) Im out of luck. I then find out from a simple google search that the owner of Evans had to report to prison this summer after being convicted for fraud. I guess it all starts at the top. Lesson learned. Ill be ordering bagged mulch elsewhere from now on.

So far I am very happy with Evans. The driver Doug was very professional. He even called me to make sure that he placed the topsoil and the crushed limestone in the correct places, because I have construction folks and cement trucks going in-and-out of my driveway. He went out of his way to make sure everything was done properly. Everything was delivered the same day I ordered. Very very nice! The girl that answered the phone was very nice as well .

Possibly the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. The Doug Evans personality runs strong through many of the employees.

Very good place to go to get landscaping materials rock stone mulch grass seed fertilizer straw fire wood & take tree debris to get rid of..... @ the Loveland location ... Nice young lady that works there was very great with helping me out with her knowledge of what to use & her recommendations of what to use & not to use & how much..... very respectful nice & awesome customer service....thank u for all that uve done for me as a customer coming there & also to Evans for having a location in Loveland & being real convenient to get in & out of & having landscaping material rock stone mulch & more 😀 iam speaking from my experience & on my behalf only..... & i will continue to use this business for my needs & will also recommend them to others as well... thnk u young Lady & Evans!!!!

Customer service was fine. Driver was on time and friendly. Topsoil is garbage. Lots of clay, sand, plastic, glass, and wood chips. Has a strong smell of ashes to it as well. I expected top soil with a small amount of clay, sand, etc. What I got was clay and sand with a little topsoil mixed in. I ordered 10 yards and need a few more to finish the job but Ill try my luck elsewhere.

Ordered 30 bags of mulch and when I got home I found the bags had been tossed from their truck and were broken open all over our driveway. I called to complain because if I wanted it all over my drive way I would of just order bulk and paid less! Very unprofessional. Talked to three different people and just got the run around!! I suggest steer clear of this company.

I would give zero stars if I could. They were rude and extremely unprofessional. Do not recommend!

Experienced the worst customer service that I have in a VERY long time and thats say a lot. Made multiple purchases over the course of a couple of months and it never got any better. The first time I figured I would give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Thought maybe he was just having a bad day. But it was the same thing every time and it was always the same person. He is in definit need of an attitude adjustment or a new job! My last visit was the icing on the cake. I paid for my purchase and waited 10 minutes for him to load the items into my trunk but he never came out. I had to step over multiple broken wood pallets to reach the bags of top soil, many of which were broken open, then lift and carry the 40 lb bags myself. INEXCUSABLE!!!!!

Called to get a quote to get a large spot fixed in my yard and it took two weeks to get the quote if i wanted a quote for something I would expect it that day or even in 24hrs would be acceptable but two weeks for a job that takes a day? so I went else were but funny enough when I did get that quote it was triple every one else quote what a joke for a business and a waste of my time working with them I would never buy here again

The delivery guy was nice and got here earlier than originally expected. The only issue I have is they trick you with the pricing. Online, it states if you order over 2 yards of gravel, it gets discounted down about $1.50, more if you purchase over 8 yards, but when it comes time to purchase, they hike the price back up to the original price. My gravel got delivered and as I’m looking through the receipt, I see I’ve been charged the full amount, even though I bought 4 yards. I called them immediately and her response was “oh, it’s wrong on the website, we don’t know what it’s problem is but we don’t change the price”. So even though it’s advertised as such, they won’t adjust the price. Had I been told this prior to making the order, I would have went with Bzak instead and saved myself $12.

Guy behind the counter is more dry than the dessert. Theyll have what you need unless you gotta piss, then youre on your own. Hope you know what u need

Decent selection and nice folks

Ive been dealing with evans for 25 years. Ive never had any problems with them. One particular house Ive been mulching for the past seven years. I always get the same amount of mulch. This year I ordered it. They shorted me only covered half the yard. I called to tell them what happend they were unprofessional. I had to order another 3 yards of mulch. Thats 2 delivery CHARGES! Which also ended up short barely made it through the rest of the yard! I also ordered on a Monday to have it delivered on Saturday. It didnt show up I called they said they tried to call me which they didnt. I ended up having to come back on Sunday to finish the job! Next week I will be ordering 12 yards of mulch. I will be ordering from Ohio mulch. I know I wont be shorted. I will no longer be ordering from them. Im taking my business elsewhere!

Good people, they had what I was looking for

I ordered multiple yards of both topsoil and mulch. Mulch was solid however the topsoil quality was absurd. Substantial amount of clay, rocks and several broken pieces of glass. This first purchase from Evans Landscaping will be my last.

Terrible, rude service. Dont use this location.
