Excellent ice cream with a good variety of flavors. The service is also amazing and Jon (the gentleman who runs the location) was quick to help me get my fix of ice cream and was very friendly. Try their most popular flavor brown bread and my personal favorite, the earl grey.

They have some interesting flavors that you won’t see elsewhere. Some were good but some miss the mark or didn’t blow me away. Definitely better than your standard ice cream shop though. It’s a very small shop, very basic setup (it almost seems unfinished?) they could probably improve on overall appearance.5 sample maximum for tasting.

We found this place on YouTube so we have it a shot. Its homemade ice-cream and very tasty. The worker was friendly and offered us unlimited samples. After painstakingly trying many flavors we finally got it right: the cone is Thai tea and brown bread; the cup is brown bread and Hong Kong coffee - YUMMY!

Very friendly service! Different flavors daily and pretty cool option to taste them all for 1 dollar. If ever none of the flavors jump out at me, but Id still be curious what they taste like, Ill try that dollar option. Ice cream sandwiches, soda floats and cold brew coffee floats also available. Pistachio saffron was great today! Was told its rare for them to make it.

So very very good. I use to live just up the hill from the original Scoops in Highland Park, and couldnt believe my luck when a new one randomly opened just down the way from me here in North Torrance. My one and ONLY note/warning, is that if you have little kids that will only eat the most basic of flavors, then maybe stop by when they are in school. Otherwise this is a must for all who love ice creme!!

Went here a bit after noon on a Sunday. There was one man running the whole store who was very kind and helpful. He allowed us to sample some flavors and then proceeded to serve us our ice cream. He gave a friendly and welcoming vibe to my party. The flavors of the ice cream were also great although, they change everyday except brown bread. Brown bread is the everyday flavor that is available every day.

If you’ve never been to scoops, go now. It’s so good. The flavors are so original (they also have more traditional flavors) and so creative, they put combinations together that I never would’ve myself but they’re SO good. My personal favorite, and a staple of the shop is brown bread. It’s not too sweet and both creamy and crunchy. Overall, over never tried a flavor that I didn’t like from Scoops. They also have tons of metered parking out front and the staff is super friendly.

This location is....interesting. Its like a guerrilla style ice cream shop. Mostly lit up by natural light...not sure how they do business once it gets dark. The place is cooled by a little corner a/c unit. Its funky, with hipster art hanging from the ceiling and on the walls. They had three different vegan ice creams when i was there. I tried two and was pretty impressed with the flavor and consistency of the ice cream. Service was well enough and the bathroom is clean.

Myself and nine others wanted good ice cream and what we got was amazing ice cream and exceptional service. Scoops offered a few original flavors that anyone would love, but they also have specialty items. I enjoyed one scoop of Turkish Coffee and one scoop of Pistachio Cardamom. Welcome to Torrance, Scoops! They just did a soft opening starting today!!! Go there cause its delicious for all ice cream lovers including non-dairy people. I was so excited to eat that I didnt even take a pic of my ice cream! Rookie mistake.A small little shop in the Nijiya plaza with ample parking, unfortunately not a ton of seating inside. Some bench seating against the wall, but a ton of flavors including 8 regular ice cream flavors and 4 non-dairy flavors made with oat milk! Prices are reasonable and the scoops portions are huge. I went for the one scoop with two flavors, which is really 2 scoops, and it was basically a meal in itself. They also will use your own bowl if you present them with it. Sampling is allowed and the guy there was super nice and friendly.MAPLE NON VEGAN CHOCOLATE CHIP (NON-DAIRY)This doesnt taste like oat milk at all! I love that its creamy and not icy like other non-dairy ice creams can be. A very subtle maple flavor with tiny chocolate chips. So simple, yet so delicious.ALMOND CARDAMON BURNT SUGAR (NON-DAIRY)Loved this one. As a gluten free person, I miss out on textures in food. The burnt sugar really added a crumb like texture that really made me keep eating spoonful after spoonful of this one. The almond and cardamon are perfect accents to make this ice cream nicely complex.

This place is ice cream heaven. Delicious, homemade and unique flavors in generous portions at a tiny and unassuming little storefront just south of LA City College. My personal favorite is brown bread, which I believe is made with Grape Nuts cereal. (Mmmm, fiber.)You used to be able to get a mug from the coffee shop next door, get a scoop of ice cream, and then get espresso poured over it, but I dont believe that they do this anymore. You can suggest flavors on a board on the wall. Consider trying your hand at being an ice cream chef.

I tried Scoops for the first time a few weeks ago, and I wish I had been wowed because all I thought was this is just okay when I had it. None of the flavors (except Brown Bread) sounded all that unique or were great tasting. Though the employee working was more than willing to let us sample, everything tasted overly sweet and flat.I ended up getting the Brown Bread and the Burnt Sugar Yogurt, but as I kept eating, they both kinda just tasted the same...Bottom line: I think I need to check the flavors online or call before I head in. Ive been wanting to try some flavors that others posted/talked about but they werent offered when I came in.

I read somewhere that this was the best place in LA to get ice cream. So, as such, I took someone very special out for ice cream on their birthday. I dont know if it was because it was Sunday, but the number of flavors available was very limited. I believe I counted six. We each opted for a different flavor because our palettes are quite different, but we both found that the ice cream was overly sweet. Interestingly, we noticed something about the customers - they were all adults. There were no children in the mix. Would I go back? Probably not, but as I always say - you need to go try it for yourself.

This was a first. I have never in my entire life walked out of an ice cream shop with a scoop, but it finally happened. After trying a half dozen flavors I couldnt find anything that didnt have a weird texture or flavor. I cant explain it, but it was pretty bad. It wasnt the worst ice cream on Earth, but then again I was told the flavors change daily, this could have been just a bad day. Of the four of us that went, only two could find anything they liked, and neither of them were thrilled. Luck of the draw I guess.
