Super professional. Signed off on a $140 diagnosis fee and ended up paying nothing after work was easier than expected. Ive been charged $100 for a simpler diagnosis than what they ended up doing at other Acton shops just because the car was on the lift for an hour. I really appreciate the honesty.

If I could give 3.5 stars I would. They do not accept parts from customers, and for brakes in particular they try to up-sell you on rotors even if you just need pads. Hard to blame a business for wanting to make money. Otherwise cool place - honest shop, lots of snacks and timely service at a decent price.

I had been going here for a few years and was always happy with the service. Recently they changed ownership and there are lots of new faces. The new owner, Dave, truly went the extra mile when I had an unexpected car issue. I appreciated his courtesy and professionalism. He has assembled a promising team and I definitely recommend this location.

As a woman, it can be hard to find a mechanic who I feel won’t take advantage of me because of my gender, but everyone here is very transparent and helpful, and I trust their suggestions and advice. I feel like I’m getting a good value and I love the inspection report they text you so you can see what they’re talking about on your car.

A wheel lug nut cap went missing after getting tires changed here. Alignment report was also not available even when it was requested due to not being retrieved at the time that the alignment was done. Nice front desk but seems like there could be a smoother process for certain things.

I had a very good experience today at Midas in Acton, so thought Id share a quick review. I had a 1pm appointment for a brake flush. I showed up at 1pm and they took my car right in, despite having a full lot of cars. I figured I was going to have to wait at least an hour before my car got pulled in. Their price was about half of what the dealership was going to charge. Amy at the front desk was a pleasure to work with and mechanic Jared seemed more than happy to answer all of my questions. I was in and out in about one hour. Well done, guys.

The service manager was friendly, organized, and very detailed with the service I needed. The facilities looked to be updated and cleaned. Guess the owner did some landscaping and resealed the parking lot from the last time I was there. Place has improved! The technicians were rocking and rolling with all bays full. The communication between the technicians and the manager was professional, friendly, and fluid. Seemed like they were following a system of communication with folders that worked well.I recommended this place to my neighbor and am taking the time to actually write a review for the first time LOL. I loved the service and will be returning for all my future car maintenance and repair.

Midas of Acton facility is clean and pleasant. The staff is helpful knowledgeable and accommodating. The works was done before I finish my walk on the near by and lovely bike trail along side a pond. Very professional check-in and diagnostic process, they assess your options and bring you solutions. They have some amenities and internet access in order to get some work done while you wait for your vehicle. If you appreciate every second of your time, this is the place to go.

They are professionals. Take care of your car and explain whats going on. I like Midas oil change service myself, although its a bit expensive, they check the car up at the same time and do basic liquid fill-ups as well.

My vehicle was due for annual maintenance. They were prompt in getting me in for an appointment. They performed a complete inspection of the vehicle and let me know what items needed immediate attention and what items should be monitored for future service. I left feeling that they had my best interest in mind. I would definitely service my vehicle here again.

Made an appointment to troubleshoot a noise. They called with a solution of new tires and were very accommodating to make sure that I got tires I would be happy with.

I am not from the area, I was just driving through and happen to have a check engine light on. I was terrified. I did not know what to do. Luckily I was right by Midas. I stopped in, and with out an appointment they took me in. Apparently critters snacked on some of my engine computer wiring?? Crazy! But Dave and the boys fixed it right up with out charging me an arm and a leg!! Even though I was a new customer they treated me like family and got me back on the road in no time. I could not be any more thankful or appreciative! Best experience ever!!!

The staff was really kind.. I went there for an alignment and I added an oil change because I was already there I was told after an hour being there that they could not do my alignment even though my aftermarket tension was at stock ride height. I was then offered a quote to put in stock suspension for $2,000 which I was not going to do because my current set-up are tein coilovers that were just put in my vehicle 2 months ago at stock ride height so I was pretty puzzled that they were unable to complete the alignment

They gave me actual result of inspection and didnt try to sell any of their products like others for example jeffy lube. And they were quick and you could properly watch them working on your vehicle. I would recommend to go there i am going to be there next time.

Careful with their financing. Didnt tell me Interest rates. Said monthly payments be low. All said and done was twice what was told. Found out after repairs were done. Got attitude when trying to ask questions. They just want the signature for the financing and the customer to go away.

Made an appointment online for 7:30 a couple days ago. Was quoted in the mid $700 range for four tires with installation and alignment. Got there at 7:30, the person who greeted me and checked me in did not wear a mask. At check in I was quoted over $900. I explained it was more than I was looking to spend. Then then found a coupon for me for $100 off. Considering that I didn’t now where else to go on a moments notice, I decided to deal with the still greater cost. As I’m leaving he tells me that one of his guys called out and he actually won’t be able start it until 8 o’clock. I suddenly regretted agreeing to the higher price. I asked him how long it would take And he said about an hour to an hour and a half. He confirmed my phone number with me and said he would give me a call. It was just after 7:30 when I had left. I called after 10 when I hadn’t heard anything. They said that it was all set. No apologies for any delay or lack of communication.When I got back the same person who checked me in was still there but now wearing a mask. He didn’t say hello, tell me how the repair went or anything. He didn’t confirm my total, just turned the payment pad around wordlessly.The tires I got were similar spec to what I had previously but the inconsistency with website pricing, inconsistent COVID precautions, long turn around time and lack of communication leave me as only a one time customer. I will be looking at other places in the future.

I want to share the very good experience I had at Midas. They have integrity and they are honest. I want to give a special thanks to Brianna, Kenny and Jared. All staff are professional, kind, and knowledgable. I had a leak in my radiator which lead to the transmission fluid mixing in with the coolant fluid. The cost was reasonable for the issue and the labor and also matched the estimate I had come up with doing research before I brought my car in. They have gained my loyalty as a customer and I will continue bringing my car to them for all future needs! Thank you again Midas!!

Good service!! I needed a wheel alignment for my truck after putting in a brand new front suspension and they were able to get me in for 530pm and they close at 6pm. They stayed late to finish the job. My truck is nice and straight now.

They went out of there way to try and diagnose a problem with my moon roof. Ultimately, the motor was gone and it had to be fixed at the dealer, but they spent almost an hour and didnt charge me.

One fine morning I got a coupon in my mailbox which says Midas Acton will change my oil for $19.99. So I called up them and wanted to understand if I can bring my own Engine Oil and oil filter. They said yes! Next day early morning I went to their place and produced my coupon and told them I am carrying my engine oil and oil filter as we discussed. The guy inside the workshop denied to do the work because he told the oil specification written on the engine is 0-20W and I am carrying 5-30W. I told them that this is the oil what was told by you guys! So I asked OK, I can bring the oil that you want, will you do the job? The receptionist consulted the workshop guy and told me the offer of the coupon is for the engine oil they will supply (though that is not mentioned anywhere in the coupon!). So they told me they will change my oil and filter for around $30-35. What a disappointment!!! I went to their place early morning so that I can get this thing done early and then I had to find out another place, who will do this job for me.My point is if you guys cant honor your own commitment, why do you commit something?

Fast, courteous, and professional. Brought our car in to have a flat tire fixed. When we ended up deciding to replace all of our tires, Tom and Chris priced out a couple of options for us when we requested it and had the tires put on within a couple of hours. A great pick up/drop-off service got me home to get some work done while I waited. They even offered us a free (synthetic) oil change for being first-timers there, which they honored on the spot when I told them I in fact needed one. A great experience all around.

Our family was all packed up, headed for a weekend of camping on a Friday afternoon when our car started making a funny noise. After calling several mechanics we limped into this Midas. The staff and service techs were amazing! They immediately came out and checked the basics and when that didn’t solve the problem they squeezed us in, communicated very clearly about the problem and the estimated repair costs. They fixed the problem, came in under the estimated cost and got us back on our way to camping! As weird as it is to say, it was a pleasure breaking down near this Midas. All of the employees were very friendly, seemed to take a lot of pride in their work and had great customer service.

I was in Midas Acton about a month ago. AAA towed me with battery problems. AAA had said my battery had to be replaced.Upon my arrival everybody there help pushing my car with a big smile. They started my car and told me my battery was just fine (the car was flooded). I ended up paying nothing and forever grateful with the professionalism and overall excellent customer service. The kind of mechanics a single lady like me needs and trusts.I will never go anywhere else. Love them.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIMETook a tire with a nail in it to them to get it fixed, and they told me it would take several hours and cost 46 dollars for a simple patch. Wanting to fix it right I reluctantly agreed, and they would call me when it was done. Thirty minutes before closing and not having heard from them, called THEM and the guy told me uhh sorry the tire guy had to leave early today, maybe we could fix it by noon the next day. I told him that you could rip me off, but not rip me off and jerk me around. Dont waste your time folks this shop charges too much and wont deliver.

Overpriced components. Townfair Tyre would do it for 45 USD but Midas chagerd 150. I regret going there and would not visit again.

I made an online appointment, then it was confirmed by phone. I came in and I learned that this appointment was not scheduled.It was a waste of time!!!!After a couple days, the owner contacted me and he offered an apology about the issue and gave me a free oil change. Good for Midas.

The guys seem knowledgeable enough, but they definitely use some questionable business tactics when it comes to pricing. I had a braking issue and they found out the problem quickly. Great. But when it came down to pricing, they wanted to charge me close to $800 total for the repair. I had it towed to my usual mechanic, and he fixed it for $150. Midas was going to charge me for four hours of labor and a part I didnt even need. My guy did the repair in less than 45 minutes. I understand its a business and theyre in it to make money, but as a consumer, dont throw your money away.

Had a punctured tire, they took me in right away, fast service, nice people. However found $40 a bit much for patching a tire. Comparing with previous same circumstances.

Chris and company always give me top rated service. Mufflers, brakes, tires and other mechanical items. More importantly, told me if they couldnt fix something and steered me to a dealer (door lock mechanism).

They repaired one hole on my exhaust pipe ~ 4 years ago. They cut off a piece of pipe and welded a new piece on. Although they charged about double price as a nearby garage, I still chose them assuming they could provide higher reliability. Now the same place has a hole again, exactly on the place they fixed last time. When I took my car to the same Midas store, they took it as granted, saying the repair typically lasts for 4 years. Even ridiculously they gave a new repair estimate even higher than last time. Finally I fixed it at a nearby garage at 1/3 of the estimate from Midas.

Ok, coldest day of the year - in Boston at hospital with my daughter and a little stressed. Come out to move my Acura TL to pick her up at the front door and bang ..nothing. Engine running, car shifting, but nothing moving. Asked a local friend who to call and he said called Midas in Acton. John answered the phone and I explained what was happening and he advised me to shut the car off and have it towed in for a full checkout. AAA was able to drop the car after hours (they had a key drop box). Got the call from John the next day expecting to hear I needed a new transmission. John explained I broke my axle and it was a good thing I didnt try reeving car as the broken piece would have chewed up my brake lines and wiring. Ended up being about $250.00 out the door ...checking 3-4 places I usually use in Hartford, CT..and they said that was a bargain for an Acura! AAA towing gives me 150 mile radius - if Im in that circle and having car issues Id give Acton Midas another call. Bill C. Manchester, CT
