I drove from Michigan to IL to buy a used car and brought it here to be inspected before purchasing. John was knowledgeable, thorough, honest, fair in pricing, and I learned a lot from the 45 minutes I spent in his shop. Ill be keeping this place saved in my phone in case I ever need assistance driving through this area again.

I took a car I was thinking of buying in, to see if there was any damage to it. They told me within an hour or so everything that needed to be fixed right now and within the next year. There was about $400 worth of repairs that needed to be done now, so the seller of the car took that off the car price and I bought it. After I bought the car, Hi-Tech even fit me in that same day to do all the repairs so I could drive it home that day (since I was out of state). They were very professional and I would recommend anyone buying a used car to have it checked out by Hi-Tech first.

Looked around for prices on brake job and yet again Hi-Tech was able to beat everyone else. Turn around on the job was less than 24 hours and process was simple and easy. A great group of guys over there that always give you details on what occurred!

Called the shop and spoke to John shortly after they opened and asked if they could have a look at a tire going flat fast after hitting road debris. He said to bring it by after 9:30am and theyd look at it. They were busy when I came in and they practically dropped everything to have a look at my tire. Sadly the tire couldnt be fixed (inside sidewall puncture; would not have been safe) so they offered to order me a tire that day or put the spare on. I asked them to put on the spare and said I would get a replacement tire which I brought by after Independence Day and they mounted and installed for me. They even checked my tire pressure and filled up my tires. This was a stressful situation and John was incredibly helpful and accommodating . Sunnyboy - an adorable pit bull and the shops mascot even let me pet him while I waited. The service was honest and prompt and I would not hesitate to return or recommend them to everyone.

Hi tech auto repair is where you should take your car. I had taken my car to my regular repair shop whom I have been going to for many years and blindly trusted. Some of my family members and friends had their reservations about the honesty of CATS Auto Repair of Schaumburg, so when confronted with a surprise $3700 repair job after a routine oil change appointment, I wisely went for a second opinion at high Tech auto. To my delight the professionalism and honesty of this facility save me $3700 because there was nothing wrong with my car, (outside of needing new windshield wipers...$35). The owner, John, was very disappointed in what happened to me because the integrity of the auto repair business means a great deal to him. He was furious about what, almost, happened to me and was there for me all the way.

I took my 2010 Dodge Caliber to Hi-Tech Addison Auto Repair recently due to brake issues and was immediately treated with care and professionalism! The owner called and messaged me next day with photos showing the K-frame that holds the suspension and weight of engine at the front of vehicle was rusted completely out.He took the extra time to call a nearby Dodge/ Crystler dealership and confirmed there was a recall on the part and it would be covered at no expense to me. This was a new found level of honesty and trust that will keep me coming back to Hi-Tech Auto for future repairs and routine tune-ups. The cost for the brake repair was VERY reasonably compared to what other auto repairs would cost.I highly recommend taking your vehicle to Hi-Tech Addison Auto! You will NOT be disappointed. John is super super nice. I went there because jiffy lube couldn’t fix what was wrong with my car and they recommend this place. My car was overheating and they fixed it really fast. A few months done the road I needed something else fixed on the car and they were able to adjust some of the cost repairs. They are very nice and I’d only go to them from now on 😊

This is the place to go! Very honest and friendly stuff! They did excellent job on my mom’s car and after 6 years of trying to find someone reliable in the neighborhood we finally found someone who doesn’t try to rip you off and actually does amazing work. Not only they show you where the problem is but also in case you need to leave your car there they’ll drop you off at your place and then pick you up when the job is done. If you are looking for reliable and honest place look no further, this is the place to go!

Had maintenance done here. They offer upfront and reasonable pricing. Work done promptly as promised. They even tightened my hand break without a charge. A great shop, which cares about customers and its reputation. Will be back.

Drove in hearing small creaking noise. I asked John who is in charge there what it could be. He took my car in for a quick look and noticed a issue with my suspension. My dealership took a look at my suspension and told me it just needed grease. Never taking my car to the dealership ever again. I left my car there and they also given me a ride home after my repair quote. The price was fair but they warranty the work and the parts which is a big plus to me. Next day they called and offered to pick me up! Wowed me right away! Loved their quick and great service. Also loved their mascot Sunny Boy their dog. Ill be looking forward to replace my tires there in the summer time.

Excellent Service!I had met John at a neighborhood festival and he insisted I should check his reviews on yelp. A week later my car would not start; I had Johns card and so I called.Not only did he look for what the problem was on the moment but went above and beyond to make sure my car was in good condition for the summer; performed full inspection at no extra cost and found some small details that I was already aware of. I was pleased that he was honest and did not try to make me spend more. Once he found the problem and gave me a quote he insisted on me checking prices somewhere else before I made my decision. Visited this shop around 6 weeks ago for 2 issues. One being my car stereo quit working and they wanted a lot of $ for a rebuilt one. I was able to get a brand new after market one for a fraction of their cost. Also I needed a interior bulb replaced. He said he would order one from dealer and get back to me in a couple of days. Waited a few days after hearing nothing and called them back and left message and still never heard back. I guess they were not interested in doing business with me, seeing I was not going to spend several hundred dollars in their shop. Not a big deal, but Im going to set it straight... No, John did NOT tell me to buy a after market radio. He said the best way to go was to get a OEM radio from him because it would be a lot cheaper than a after market one. NOT TRUE AT ALL. 2 false statements there. Also the bulb I needed was to be gotten at the dealer he told me and would call the following week but never did!

After being upsold by Suburban time after time, I needed a new mechanic. Trust and competency are paramount and Hi-Tech has both. They not only explained and recommended specific services, but they physically show you what theyre talking about. Too many times at discount stores, like Suburban, you are brought an air filter or told you need new fluids. I was shown by the owner what needed done, what didnt need to be done, and what I could do myself in detail.It wasnt until recently that I realized the value of all of this. When Hi-Tech was too busy and I couldnt schedule it, I had to get a service done at Suburban. They recommended a fluid replacement that I had just had done by Hi-Tech a week and a half ago. 11 days. They said it looked like mud. When I drove back upset, the owner took the time to walk out in the rain and show me the new and clear fluid and then walk into the garage and show me the fluid directly from the bottle. Of course, they matched.You can tell from sitting in the waiting area that the owner truly cares about honesty and the quality of service. It was actually a bit jarring for me as I witnessed all of this for the first time; I thought all mechanics were about the same. Hi-Tech is different. You can tell from the interaction he has with customers who call in, interaction with his staff, and how he treats people waiting in the shop. They also offer price matching to compete with the upsellers out there.My only issue is they do have a tight parking lot and they can get very busy, but Im sure its a result of their principles, and you cant put a price on integrity.

Had my sons car towed here from a recommendation, of his friend. My son is a teenager and of course assumed alot of the damage was due to his recent modification that e was doing to it, but it wasnt and John and at Hi tech was knowledgeable to tell me wasnt anything the kid did. My bill was pretty high, but confident in their work that the price is legit because havent heard of any issues in the kids car since and i feel like i finally have my neighborhood mechanic that i just had my moms car towed there to be repaired ... As someone who is a car enthusiast I am very picky when it comes to who works on my cars and the quality of the job they perform. Hi-Tech is one of very few places where I am fully satisfied when I get my cars back. Because of the type of cars I own I often bring in unusual problems that other shops would turn away. The boys at Hi-Tech seem to never give up and has even created custom tools in order to complete a repair on my RX-7.What I think is very important for most people is finding a mechanic that can be trusted. When something is wrong with your car and you need it fixed it can be so frustrating when all you understand is its going to cost you thousands of dollars and you can only hope that the person quoting you the price is being honest. This is why I have appreciated the way John at Hi-Tech explains the problem and how he takes the time to discuss options with me.I highly recommend these guys!

I was very impressed by the level of service and attention I received from Hi-Tech Automotive Specialists, Inc. The owner is a hands on technician that reviews all repairs. He also takes the time to make sure you understand what is needed and why. Several years ago I was an executive for a large Auto Repair Service company (M***S) and never received this type of treatment or quality of service. I was also tired of drinking the BMW Dealer Kool-Aid so I started shopping around. My sister recommended Hi-Tech Automotive Specialists, Inc. because of her great experiences. At first like everyone else I was nervous of taking a $60K BMW anywhere else other than the dealership. I was impressed when he had someone in house that specialized on BMWs. I had to have my brake lines and Pads all completely replaced. They produced excellent work and everything is performing like new. Thanks Guys.

I brought my sisters car in because the tires leaked air every week. I asked John to give me the price on four tires, but he first wanted to inspect the car. He had his mechanic reseal all the tires and only charged for a few minutes of the mechanics time. My sisters been driving on the tires for three months now and still hasnt lost any air.
