This is the absolute cutest coffee shop you will ever go to. I have been visiting Angel Falls Coffee for roughly 25 years now and the atmosphere is my favorite. So calm and cozy. Although, more recently, theyve gotten a little busier. The quality of the coffee and service has never wavered. I now live out of state but make it a point to visit Angel Falls anytime I am in the area.Protip: If you are nervous about parallel parking, you can park at the library across the street, pay for the meter parking in front of the building, or park at the small parking lot behind the building.
Fantastic atmosphere and service plus great coffee! Highly recommend this coffee shop!
Fantastic tea selection, amazing pastries, delicious coffee, and the ambiance is so welcoming and homey. The baristas were very nice and knowledgeable! The Drip Drive brought us here, but we’ll definitely be back for more! We split the “Better Morning” muffin (raisins, apple, and carrot), a raspberry strudel, and a turkey and cheese and egg sandwich. They were all delicious! My fiancé got Angel Falls light roast coffee and I got their Jasmine tea. We were both very satisfied costumers!
This is one of my favorite secrets in Akron. I wish they had more seating because so many people love their atmosphere that it can get quickly.I got 2 hot chocolates, a cookie, and a cinnamon roll for less than $10; I think its very economical. The servers and staff were happy and pleasant and they were so kind when I changed my mind and was a little scatter brained.Well be back next week most likely.
This place is awesome! The staff is great, customers are friendly and the entire place has a really laid back artsy vibe. I always go when Im in town. You can dine in or sit outside and enjoy the beautiful vegitation. They even have a smoking area.
Just got a lavender latte. Been frequenting this shop off and on for years. This was the perfect lavender latte. Flawless.
Came for a business meeting. The coffee is extremely tasty, the interior is quite cozy, and the traffic flow is steady but not disruptive to the dine-in customers. The workers were a bit excitable and loud at times but, hey, gotta have fun at work sometimes!
This little hidden gem is my favorite coffee shop! I love all the character it has and the wall outside is so cool! I’m not a coffee drinker so I got a smoothie and boy was it so good!!! Also the brownies and granola bars we’re honestly the best I’ve ever had. I highly suggest going here!
My favorite coffee shop. The cafe con leche is excellent especially when Ann or Jim makes it
My husband and I love coming up to Angel Falls! They have great coffees & hot chocolate, as well as the best Biscotti & other flavorful bakery items. Only wish is that they had a rotation of new flavored drinks, like seasonal drinks.
Quiet at 7 am, ahead of the morning rush. Cortado and caramel chameleon were well made. Nice atmosphere for a morning respite.
The smell of fresh brewed coffee captures you as you walk in. I had to stand still and enjoy. The Staff is friendly, the pastries are good and the dinning area is safe, social distancing and love the art, style. Very nice
Coffee: perfectionStaff: Engaging, Devine, They really give you a home town vibe with a cured and perfected ernest caring for your day, ( you know how we are about our coffee)10s 10s10s 10s
Went about 6 years ago when the staff acted like you were a chore to serve and heaven forbid you bother them for the wifi password. Coffee was OK, the atmosphere was homey/fun and recenty I thought about trying them again. I happened to check them out on Google map only to see they proudly support a domestic terrorist group. No thank you!
This is my new favorite place. They have good energy
Staff talks negatively about patrons...grow up.. nice place tho
Wonderful coffee, and a nice atmospheric seating indoors or out. Very friendly crew working there too.
Their Cocoa de Provence (Lavender Cocoa) is superb, even with espresso in it. Its been my go to when I visit Akron for a long time. Coffee is a bit dark roasted for my taste but thats okay. Great place to sit and hang out.
Good coffee, bad service. I walk in, almost a full house, I order my coffee, I sit down. Not even 7 minutes later am I told I have to be out of there in 10 minutes... an hour before they regularly close. They tell an almost full cafe of paying customers to head out and start turning off the lights. If this happened once or twice I would look past it, but now it seems to happen every other time I come in. It seems like the barristas have somewhere else to be.Its unpredictable and not worth the drive or trouble anymore. The inconsistency of their hours is unprofessional and disappointing. If you need a to-go coffee, go in the morning, maybe theyll be open, if they feel like it.
Loved the ambience and coziness. The chocolate croissant is delicious. The mocha and chai are also great. I loved the sweetness of their croissant and beverage, it was just right for me.
Excellent local spot to grab a coffee, tea, or a cold sandwich on the go! Usually delicious pastry and biscotti options. Wonderful staff and atmosphere!
Amazing coffee and you can’t beat the customer service!!
We are here everyday. Best.Coffee.Ever.
Butterscotch Italian Soda was perfectly salty and smooth; nice atmosphere
Employees are delightful, food and drink are great, and the environment is very welcoming
Great coffee shop with nice atmosphere. Tons of loose leaf tea options, and decadent hot chocolates
Angel Falls coffee shop offers wonderful coffee drinks, pastries, quiches, cakes, pies and sandwiches. The clientele is eclectic and diverse which is very much appreciated. It is the neighborhood living room and front porch. The owner and his partner are very knowledgeable about all phases of coffee production, roasting and brewing.
Great spot-loyal customers for a reason!
The beverages are exemplary, and the chicken salad sandwiches? Phenomenal. If you live in the Akron area, you owe it to yourself to step into this quaint locally owned and operated Coffee House. Support local business!
Good coffee drinks. First time there, will definitely return.
I love this place! Great coffee and pastries.
Angel Falls Coffee has been a Highland Square landmark for twenty years. Stay for an hour or three in cozy chairs and enjoy the coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. My favorite drink is the Vulcan De Provence--a hot chocolate with real strained chocolate, lavender, and whipped cream. The pastries are delicious and baked fresh on site. Convenient location, late weekend hours, on the bus line, showcases local artists.
Love the coffee. Always enjoy the Highland Square area
Loved my Malibu Latte.
Stopped in with a friend for tea and a bagel, the service was very helpful making selections, food was great, and affordable.
Always a good experience. Great-tasting food and drinks. A great place to take out-of-town friends for an impressive Akron experience
Angel Falls Coffee Company is a great place to get coffee! If you are going late evening, they shut their espresso machine down an hour before close, so make sure to get there early enough to experience their full menu.
Ive been there many times and it always been good. Ill be back again.
Great employees and ambiance. Nice blend of types of people.
I love Angel Falls
Best and coffee and pastry.
Comfortable, cozy, friendly place to relax with friends and a great cup of coffee or mulled cider! I visited every time I was in Ohio seeing family and friends and now that Ive moved back and living in Highland Square, I stop in several times a week! Highly recommend this place!
Decent coffee. Nice blends of tea. They closed at 10 (covid hours). I drove past and turned around and then parked in back. By the time I walked to the door they were closed. They had poured out the hot coffee. They GAVE me an iced coffee, FREE, to be nice. They wouldnt take a tip. Nice hippies, half-joking, cool nice indie coffee shop.PASTRIES too.
Its absurd that I havent left a review yet. Ive been coming to Angel Falls for twelve years. Since Im from NYC and I only come here when Im visiting family on vacation, this is a place I associate with R&R. Angel Falls is an easy going start to any day. With a strong arsenal of unique seasonal and year-round drinks, tasty breakfast and lunch options unlike any other, I can easily say its my favorite coffee shop on the planet, and I hail from a city littered with coffee shops.Do Try:-Their breakfast quiches-Customizing your coffee or tea with flavored syrups like Lavender, or Cherry.-(In the fall/winter) Any Vulcan. Their super special hot chocolates that will change your life.
Great local independent coffee shop, keep Akron weird!
My favorite little cozy spot in highland. The best chais and lattes 😍
Best coffee ever
This place is awesome. The drinks are really good and the staff are super nice people!
Great tea selection. Had one of the best slices of Cheesecake Ive ever had my life there. The other desserts look very tempting. The price was the lowest Ive seen as well. Anytime I want a dessert from now on Im going there. Fun atmosphere.
Best coffee and great atmosphere. They treat the customer wonderful.
Ive been coming here for 15 years. Its like home. Great coffee, pastries and most importantly, great service. Highland Square is blessed to have them as an important part of our business community.
Cafe con leche is delicious. The quiche is always tasty annoying with the wide variety of pastries
I love stopping in at Angel Falls. The coffee and tea selections are great, and theres often new menu items to try (like seasonal smoothies and hot chocolate). The bakery items are delicious as well, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. I also really appreciate the welcoming, safe space sign they have in their window. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, and they have a good amount of seating compared to some other coffee shops Ive visited. If you havent been before, definitely give this place a try!
Like a home away from home. A gem of community in our community.
The coffee here is good. Usually the employees are nice but my last visit the employee was very rude and I asked for two pumps of syrup and he rudely said they dont do pumps, they just pour it in. So I asked for light flavored syrup in both of my drinks and he poured a LOT of it in both drinks. Also I was rudely told to put my own cream in the coffee. I wanted colder cream from the refrigerator not cream that had been sitting out for who knows how long. Grabbed a straw for my iced coffee and it was paper! Disintegrated in my drink fairly quickly. I recommend bringing your own straw here for anything iced. I would give less stars but this was the first bad experience so Im hoping for a better one next time. Maybe this particular employee should work elsewhere 🤷♀️
LOVE this place, the hours and the vibe/environment make it unique. Staff is small but always on top of things, great drinks great people great service! If youre coming during the school year it might be hard to find a seat as this place is usually pretty busy! Must buy something and also a $5 minimum on cards!
Always friendly. Very accommodating for my caffeine needs. Baked goods are on point.
Great coffee, kind staff, clean store
Its always nice to visit here, the staff, the coffee and the desserts are all enjoyable.
Friendly people. Great coffee. Safe space
It’s by no means the best coffee I’ve had and I believe they don’t make their own flavor syrups which I don’t like personally. But it’s a great place to go hang out or study. The staff is friendly for the most part. My favorite thing about Angel Falls is that its open late hours when most coffee shops are closed. Its also in a great little neighborhood. I’d recommend checking this place out.
Im typically a fan of angel falls, the vibe is super hipster and everyones friendly. My coffee and sandwich was good but my girlfriends cold brew made her sick. She says it must have been the sugar free syrup she thought it tasted weird then got sick about an hour later. Good service though..
Favorite little cafe around!
An excellent House of coffee! Premium coffees and teas from around the world. Extremely friendly and very well maintained. The cleanest restaurant bathroom Ive seen in years. If in Highland Square, this is a must stop.
23+ years of excellent coffee and community support. Enjoy the cortado!
I was walking my dog one morning past the coffee shop as the owner was unloading his car with inventory during the COVID-19 mandated closure. When I crossed the street at Highland Avenue two vicious dogs came up and attacked my dog so aggressively and violently that they ripped him out of his collar that was attached to the leash. The owner of the coffee shop ran up along with another van that pulled up so the dogs don’t finally stopped attacking. If they had not done this, these dogs would have killed my dog. The owner was so kind to allow my dog to stay in his coffee shop while I walked home to get my car so I could come back and get him. When I got to the coffee shop to pick him up the owner had been sitting with him comforting him the entire time. I am so forever grateful for this wonderful act of kindness and courage. Thank you
This coffee shop is really nice. The inside is cute and relaxing. There is plenty of seating and they play very nice, relaxing music. I got a cappuccino and my boyfriend got a frozen drink. Both were very very good. One of the best cappuccinos Ive had, actually. My boyfriend also got a cinnamon roll and it was very good. Very tasty, and everything is priced well. Would highly recommend!
I love the coffee company. The people there are like family. The coffee is great and the outdoor seating is awsome. Great place.
I had been looking forward to stopping by this place and I was so glad to see that they were open on the later side. The staff was so patient as I took forever to decide what to order from their many options and I really enjoyed what I got. The music was a huge plus and really added to the already cozy atmosphere of the shop. I will definitely be back!
Great service and even better coffee and food highly recommend
I got the Diplomats Son - a chai and cider. Whip and spice on top. Very tasty, perfect to enjoy in a busy but cozy atmosphere. I love Angel Falls and will always be happy to come back for another hot beverage with a homemade feel. Best spot around, and Im looking to buy some loose-leaf teas soon!!
Decided to try Angel Falls Coffee Co. for the first time and we were very impressed. Great coffee, mulled cider, hot chocolate and amazing atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting this coffee house again!!!!!
Really good coffee and offer local baked goods.
Great friendly staff, cool place, great strong coffee. Love those guys.
Angel Falls has good coffee. It unfortunately is in a busy area. This can be hard to get to. It definitely is good enough to make your way here. The coffee is likable but not service. A latte is about $3 for a regular. Its not that bad of a price. Theres other places that will rip you off worse. It has a lot of non dairy milk options. They have oat milk, which is unusual. It tastes fine.
A sweet little cafe with amazing tea and baked goods! Highly recommend if you need to study or just need a quiet place to read. The soft classical music they play is also a great addition to the calming atmosphere!
Cozy coffee shop with good drinks and cozy yet edgy atmosphere. Fits right into Highland Square vibe. Wish the wifi was a little bit more clear to understand and use.
The dude who worked today around 12 is the rudest man alive. He’s there all the time and doesn’t need to be working at a cute local coffee shop. I love this place and I love there coffee and tea but his attitude ruins everything.
We have only been here once or twice and they’ve always been average experiences, but today was awful. There was a middle aged guy working behind the counter who was so rude. Like all we asked was what the difference was between the two pastries (because it may have an allergen in it) and he was like “as you can obviously see...”. We asked him about tea, and it was the same type of deal. He just told me I need “drugs”. No, I need some tea. Honestly the food and drinks are actually pretty good but the service is so trash that I’d rather go elsewhere. Even chain places like Starbucks are nicer.
One of the first stops I go to when I travel to Akron. I go for my iced coffee/shot of vanilla. (Cream-Honey-&Cinnamon). Absolutely love!
I absolutely love this coffee shop. The baristas are very friendly and quick to get your order. The quick bites are really more of an afterthought, come here for the coffee and tea. And to sit outside and watch all the cute highland dogs walk by
Great staff, atmosphere and products. Well be back soon.
The employees are rude, and not rude as in they’re having a bad day rude but an arrogant and antagonist kind of rude. But hey, they work at (own?) a coffee shop so they must be cool hipsters, right? The coffee is good for the location, and the atmosphere is nice once you get away from the counter.
Small location. Eclectic decor. Staff is very slow and rude. The girl at register was more interested in chatting with her friend than doing her job. Product was mediocre at best. Will not visit again.
My wife and I drive out to Akron from Pittsburgh every 6-8 weeks, partly to stop at Angel Falls and have a good coffee. Ive read where people complain about the service and it makes me laugh. Weve always had good service, but we also know what we want and get to it. Its a busy place and they hustle to keep up. We enjoy the mix of customers and the location with the view of West Market.
Great late night spot to hang out with friends and talk. Smaller coffee shop so it might be harder to find a spot to sit down (particularly if you need an outlet), but its still cool. They have a chess table if you are trying to play too, no need to bring your own. Baristas are super friendly and always on point. If youve got a sweet tooth, try their iced mocha!
Love it here
