Friendly warm atmosphere everyone is nice and helpful. It is a very different experience then what we are used to when going to the eye doctor. If you have been putting off getting an eye exam or having your prescription updated this is the place to go. Dr. Barracato and Dr. Ford will take good care of you. Dont delay you know this review has the ring of truth.

I can’t say enough about how kind and skilled Tom and the crew here are. Keeping kids in glasses is a lot of work and they’re so patient and helpful, as well as having an excellent selection of fun kids frames. We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I had broken the metal piece that connects my nose pad to my frames. I tried using gorilla epoxy and super glue; I even tried to solder it but I didn’t know how to use the tool haha—but everything failed. I had superglue all over my lenses. I went to 5 different Walmart’s and they all said “you can’t fix that, you need a whole new pair of glasses.” And of course, my prescription for my lenses was expired and I didn’t have time to see a doctor for a new one. I called Adolph Optical and they said they’d have a look. Not even 5 minutes after arriving, my nose pad was fixed and they got realigned. The superglue is no longer on my lenses. All that for just $20. The staff are so nice and friendly, they got me to laugh when I thought I was going to have to drop all my money on new glasses. I highly recommend this place for everyone!! I will definitely be coming back to get my prescription updated.

Adolph Optical made my first pair of glasses when I was in preschool. After a mis-diagnosis by my physician years ago, they directed to me to be seen by a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at Akron Children’s Hospital. By the fourth or fifth grade, I was completely out of glasses until there was a need for reading glasses around 40 years of age. My recent search for a well-made lens led me back to Adolph Optical, and I couldn’t be happier with this new pair. I highly recommend their service, quality and expertise!

My family decided to switch to Adolph Optical simply because they were close to the house and were a local business. We were surprised, however, that they were also an amazing group of people! Going there is not simply getting your eyes checked or a new set of frames, but time spent with friends. There are always laughs to be had and shared as you are treated like one of their own while searching for frames or waiting for a repair to be done. They also offer repairs to your frames at little to no charge(depends on the extent of repair so far as I can tell). My family and I will be staying patients/clients of Adolph Optical for a long time to come.

Wonderful experience here. I broke my glasses with a clean break right in the middle of the nose bridge. Neither my Eye Doctor nor the company I purchased the glasses from would repair it, instead wanting me to pay over $250 for a new frame, plus a fee to put the lenses in. I came to Adolph Optical and Tom took one look at it and said I think I can fix this, just give me 20 minutes and just like that he repaired them and for less than a tenth of what the manufacturer wanted! I will recommend all my friends and family go here!

Id give 10 stars if I could!! Did a Google search online after my daughters glasses broke, Adolph Optical was a 40 minute drive from us but we needed them fixed asap! We drove there and just walked in and they fixed her glasses in just a couple minutes! When I went to pay he told me no charge! Very cute place with super friendly staff. 20 stars if possible! I broke my glasses and the chain store I got them at for $400 said they couldn’t be fixed...that I would need to buy a new pair. I couldn’t work without glasses. I found Adolph online and called. Tom had me send a picture and told me to bring them in. He couldn’t fix the old frame but put replacement earpieces on in about five minutes for $20! I will go back to Adolph for new glasses when it’s time! Nice to do business with a small local company!

What an incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and hospitable staff. I got my eye exam done and ordered glasses and contacts on the same day. Plenty to choose from in their frames selection, and it’s the good stuff. I’m lucky this place is half a mile from my house. Even if you’re much further away, Adolph Optical is worth the drive.

What great people! I went in yesterday simply needing a screw to be put in my glasses as the one that came with it fell out. Not only did they get me a new screw but they also adjusted my glasses. For no price! Even when I tried to pay them they said no. And they were so friendly, they treated me like I was a regular customer though they didn’t even know my name!I remember tagging along with my family as a child to Adolph when they needed their glasses fixed, and I have nothing but fond memories of this place. I purchased my current glasses from Warby Parker, but I’ll make sure to get my next pair from Adolph!

It is a very nice experience to be there this morning, I got my glasses leg bent unbelievable accidentally after eat too much on thanksgiving, and stopped by there asking for a fix, they are so kind and professional and fix it quickly and give it back like a brand new, really appreciate their help.

Staff was extremely professional, friendly and attentive. Owner was very accommodating as well. I was able to get my new glasses back in two days-which exceeded my expectations. Loved the personal attention offered in a more boutique environment. Will probably get all of my glasses from them in the future.

Great selection of unique designer glasses. Super friendly service. Warm and cozy atmosphere. They also performed repairs that other eye docs wont/cant, like welding the broken arm back on the metal frame of my glasses and attaching nose pads on my plastic frames so they dont slide down anymore. Will be going back, even though they dont take my insurance.

Im 28yr old. Ive had at least 18 eye exams in my lifetime. And this is the first exam Ive ever had that caught a minor astigmatism in my left eye. Ive always been able to see with correction. But this is the first time Ive ever gotten new contacts, and almost cried at how well I could see. I literally feel as if Ive been half blind my whole life.Thankyou all there, because I literally didnt know I could see the world this way.

I have worn glasses for fifty years, have lived all over the country, and have never, before now, received the honest, caring service that I received from Tom and Tina. Tom and his team go out of their way to make sure that my experience is extraordinary- regardless if I am shopping for glasses, being fitted for contacts, or just needing a general repair to my frames! Tom can work miracles with broken frames, and he does not not discriminate based on if the frames came from Adolph! Hes a whiz! When having contacts fitted, the optician was quick to bring me up to speed about what could be happening with my eyes that could be making my contacts feel not right. As it turns out, your eyes change with age- something I did not know. She fitted me with dailies, which eliminated the problem completely. I love the entire staff, their commitment to my happiness, as well as the fact that they always remember me when I come in!

I rarely ever complain but here goes...I scheduled an eye exam for contacts and glasses. But when I got there they cancelled on the contact exam due to lack of time. So instead of making one trip they want me to make another trip for contact exam part.Ive been to many eye doctors over my lifetime. I never had to make two different appointments for glasses & contacts thats just crazy and bad business for doing only part of the exam when I was told on the phone it would be for both contacts and glasses.

I was afraid that I wasnt going to be able to repair the arms on my metal frames until I found Adolph. I was so impressed that Tom was able to fix it and in 15 minutes. Ive tried to get them fixed where I originally got them but they told me to buy new glasses. This place is a gem. Very thankful. Also, walking in was great. Staff greeted me with smiles and the business felt warm and comforting. They had some cool glasses too. Will probably do business with Tom and his staff again in the future.

Adolph Optical and the employees there are great! My family has been going there for over 30 years. I moved away a few years ago and came home for the Holidays and unfortunately forgot my contact lenses. I called Tom and he remembered me and gave me a sleeve of contacts with no charge. Adolf optical is a great place for glasses repair. I had a pair of Ray-Ban glasses made with flexon (the flexible frames) which most shops would not fix but Tom had an easy solution and fixed them quickly at a great price.Thank you!

I broke my glasses playing basketball/soccer and honestly i thought nothing could help and had to get new ones, but decided to go and check out Adolph Optical. The frame was really messed up, one screw had come off and another arm had come off as well. Tom had it replaced for me and changed the screw as well, fixed the glasses and it feels as if it was new. The best part was that he did not even let me pay. He did all that for FREE.Best customer service experience in a long timeeee

I started shopping at Adolph for my glasses particularly to support a local business, but Ive been so happy that even if I were to move Id stay loyal to Adolph. I always buy my glasses and sunglasses from Mary and I receive so many compliments that its ridiculous. Their motto is that if you look good in your glasses that theyll look good. I had an eye exam at Adolph Optical in their Akron office by Dr. Michelle Ford. She was very thorough and wrote a new prescription for my new eye glasses. I chose a nice pair of designer frames and had the BluTech lenses installed in them. I figured with all the computer work I do I should give them a try. Im glad I did as I have less eye strain at the end of my work day. These lenses are designed to block the harmful light emitted by screens and I am surrounded by them all day long.Tom and Tina readjusted my frames after about a month of my wearing them to help them not slide off my nose. Seems the frames loosened up a bit after I took them on and off a bunch of times. After the adjustments and installing new nose pads, my new glasses never slide down my nose!Great customer service and very nice people. Their office is really cool too. Almost like a museum with some of the cool items around there to look over while you visit.

Tom went out of his way to repair my glasses when they broke while I was visiting from out of state. When I called, he explained what he would have to do, what the approximate cost would be, and that he had a short window of time that he could do the repair. His skills and customer service where both first class. Highly recommend Adolph for any eye wear needs.

I couldn’t be happier with this place! My daughter broke her glasses that were purchased from Adolph Optical and when I called to see when I could bring them in to have them possibly move the lenses from the broken frames to new frames they said “we may be able to fix them”. I thought “yeah, right, I appreciate the thought but these are BROKEN”. I went over and well, the picture says it all. FIXED! Adolph will be getting all my glasses business from now on. Thank you!

I had tried a mall store and got a bad prescription and no real help or customer care afterward. Adolph Optical turned out the opposite. The office is so friendly that its like family. After my exam, in 2 days they had delivered a sample pack of toric contact lenses -- not one set, a pack of 5 for each eye. They scheduled a follow up exam after the samples came in and I had a chance to wear them for a few days to verify that everything was right. I have rarely seen such good, friendly, and professional service.

I had purchased my glasses over the years from Adolph Optical, but had not been there in about five years when I needed glasses for my baby with Down syndrome. Tom went out of his way to get us what we needed ASAP. I requested progressives to use at the computer. They were so nice and expressed concern and spent time with me when I bought the lenses.They said they would call the manufacturer of the lens and make sure the progression was max. available.A week later, when I walked in to pick up my $500 glasses, they handed my glasses to me in my hands along with my old lenses and the receipt and then WALKED AWAY leaving me standing in the room by myself holding my glasses. The staff hid.I put on the glasses standing there by myself and worried about the lenses, but since progressives take time to learn to use and since I was standing in the middle of the room alone, I left.Today I can NOT SEE THE COMPUTER SCREEN AT ALL and the lenses are worse than the ones they took out, no progression at all.Dont let that nice sales job convince you, my lenses are WORSE then the old ones, Im suffering, I cant see, and the staff hides.GOOD LUCK

We have been going to Adolph Optical for five years. We live in Cleveland and would not think of going anywhere else. The service from Adolph, Tom and their staff is well worth the drive. The selection of frames, both adult and teen, is huge. Recently, my son needed to have a new prescription filled to relieve headaches from an out of date prescription. Tom and the staff facilitated the grinding of the new lenses in 24 hours. This is the very definition of great service.

Once you go to Adophs for glasses youll never go anywhere else!!This local family business carries great lines of frames, provides very professional AND friendly service (a combination that is often hard to fine), and takes the time to understand what you really want.The thing that really sets them apart is their service. It is old-fashioned (and I mean that in a VERY positive way)!If you need to have your glasses repaired, this is ABSOLUTELY the place to go. They take pride in repairing glasses, often even those that you may think or have been told are unrepairable!They recently added an in-house optomistrist, making it possible to get your eyeglass prescription and have it filled all in one stop!I drive by many other places where I could purchase eyeglasses to get to Adophs. Adophs actually make it fun to get glasses!!
