My 84 year old Mother needing assistance setting up her her new Basic IPhone. She gets flustered easily & was really worried about being brushed off by someone without the patience to help her. ( I live out of state so could not help ) . She meet with Jason on Friday afternoon & she said he was the most patient, helpful person she had ever met! she was so excited, as she could not operate her last cell & started to think she would have to go with out one. Jason, you restored her self confidence in herself & customer service. i know you went above & beyond & i greatly thank you!!
Friendly and helpful, but I made the appointment for my laptop to be fixed there so I wouldnt have to ship it in. They dont have the resources to do repairs there and had to ship it in anyway. Kind of a waste of a trip. Thats more Apples fault than their associates.
Great people who are very helpful. Masks are required at this time, but they will supply if you forgot yours.Great feature that you can have your repair items shipped to you when finished.
Very patient people explained Why my phone not working . Very nice guys but they want people to call first to find an available time slot they are very busy great people!
Why are you the only store in the mall that requires masks? I can’t come in with my family now? Let’s follow this logically the air from the entire mall is shared with the Apple store, it’s purely a political and virtue signaling gesture.
Go there almost every week always find what i need and get my apple products fixed or replaced everyone there is so friendly.
I usually do all my purchases online and preferred to have my products delivered to me. However, this is the closest apple store to me and I have been here thrice. Two of the times for a service issue and once for a purchase.First of all, the store is almost always very busy. So having an appointment helps. Very easy to make one online from your apple device itself. My first time was when I dropped my MacBook Air accidentally and fortunately had coverage for it. But Apple had recently switched to Apple care + rather than just Apple care. However they still honored their coverage and got my Mac fixed for $19 in a couple minutes. Their tech service at the Genius bar is excellent.I purchased my iPhone 11 online and wanted to get credit for my past 2 iPhones I had been holding. I just took them in and they were kind enough to add the credit back to my apple card for those two extra iPhones I returned. Very seamless.I went there yesterday (10/22/21) to get the back on my 12 Pro replaced since it had chipped. I had the Apple Care + coverage for my phone. However, they replaced the back, put in a new battery as well as changed the outer metallic shell on my phone. So I basically got a brand new 12 Pro for just $29. All done within the hour. Brandon at the Genius bar helped me with this.It could get frustrating a couple of times since there are many people present in the store and limited associates handling the customers. They however do an excellent job.
Someone sent us away stating we didnt have what was needed after waiting 24 minutes for someone to help... only to find out that we did have the insurance and had to go back and wait ANOTHER 40 minutes to be re- assisted. Then a wonderful person came to help and did her job and did it well. Apple should hire more people like her... she saved the day! She is the ONLY reason this is 3 stars.
Tom was amazing and so very helpful. He is understanding, patient and his kindness through my ordeal trying to get my phone to work made me dance for joy. Such a helpful atmosphere from the time I walked in. Definitely a team company when they cheered for an employee’s last day.
Very helpful and pleasant people working there.
My husbands phone is pretty new and wasn’t working correctly. We worked with Tila and she was beyond helpful and patient. She made the whole experience pleasant and was wonderful to sit and chat with while we waited for her to diagnose the issue and help us
The employee that helped my daughter was Jason. He was fabulous!
Katie or Kate (?) was so helpful! Really took the time to make sure she did everything in her power to get my phone to work!
Fast great service. We have a longer drive to come here for service. No other stores near us.
Nice as usual. Walking it down a Saturday afternoon is nice. People shopping, good food, good prices.
The only store in the mall that refuses entry unless you wear a mask. So I couldnt be with my husband as he got his phone looked at and neither could our children. Yet the air from the whole mall is filtered together.🤷♀️ No exceptions allowed no matter what!👎👎
10 bucks Bonnie below is still waiting in the parking lot. I bet she drove from 2 hours away too.Jokes aside, I had a very pleasant experience. I was in and out, team very helpful, knowledgeable.
A lot of people working they take care of you quick
Walk-ins are not allowed yet?!?! I need to break the Apple hold. Next phone is going to a different brand.
Its all Apple, all the time. I suppose thats good if you like Apple products.
LOVE THIS MALL!!! It is very convenient that theres an Apple store in here. The food court is great with good variety! Nice way to spend a day
Apple Summit Mall is great. The employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. The layout helps mitigate chaos when the store is busy. The flow of traffic makes it easy to navigate and easily move between the different areas of the store. It is definitely one of the better Apple stores in Ohio!
Nate was awesome. Had a great experience at the Apple Store as always.
Stop requiring masks…the whole front is open and you can stand directly outside the entrance with no mask…I would have given zero is it was an option
Zero stars for this store.I ordered an iPhone and accessories online yesterday and spoke with two different Apple reps during the order process, confirming that I could pickup the order curbside. I was assured by both Apple employees that I’d get the order curbside.Today, I call the store to determine where to park and the called rolled over to Apple customer service. Kendra at Apple then told me that this store no longer has curbside delivery. Wait, what?? Curbside service was cancelled since yesterday??I’m sure there are a couple dozen twenty-somethings standing around and working in the Summit Mall Apple store right now. Why doesn’t the manager grab one of them and have her/him run the order out to my car???Finally, the person at the 800 # for Apple tells me, after I’ve been in the parking lot for over one hour, that I can cancel the order and start over again and have the items delivered instead.HORRIBLE customer service. When you’re promised something to get you to make a big purchase and then the delivery promises are broken, it’s unacceptable.
My wife went in to buy a phone. They told us appointment only, that’s fine we set up an appointment and purchased the phone online (our only option) she was told she could not look at other phones and had to leave. When she asked for assistance setting her phone up they referred her to a customer service phone number. Why have a store at that point? Seems like Apple is trying to cut their brick and mortar locations and personal service will be nonexistent just as it was today.
Usually going to the Apple Store but the mall is nicely kept up. Some nice new restaurants in the food court to check out if you haven’t been in a while.
Good variety. Clean. Not upper scale, but, decently above the norm.
My iPhone needed a new battery, so I had them install it. Had to make an appointment and that was a little over an hour to install. Then back in business. They were pretty busy, but took good care of everything.
Going down hill. Never has what you want in stock. They always say another store 40 miles away does. This hasn’t happened to me once, but several times.Plus it drives me nuts when I go in and say, “I want to buy this”. And then the spend the next 10 minutes asking me why. Duh, because I want it.
I picked up a new iPhone 13 Pro Max the same day I ordered it online !
Tried to go to store to buy a new phone and was told only by appointment. Called and tried to make appointment and told only able to buy online. The rep said if I want to see the phone in person to go to Best Buy 😧
It was nice, calm, clean. Visited hot topic and enjoyed some food court. I have a picky family so we went to 3 spots in thw food court and everything was good.
So many amazing stores and the mall cleaning crew is amazing. They are so efficient and kind
Worst experience ever. I had an appointment and waited a half hour to get someone to sell me a phone. I wanted a phone, unlocked and was paying cash, super straight forward. The entire experience took over an hour. I hate apple..
Boring, not many options outside of some clothing stores, overpriced FYE and a couple closed or vacant stores.
The employees here are friendly and doing a good job. Theyve got impressive protocols in place for Covid. They make the rest of the mall stores look very pandemic-complacent. Its an Apple Store, so prepare to wait in line any time of the day, regardless if you have an appointment. If you dont want to wait, do what you need to do online.
Nice store. Friendly staff. Wait to go inside because of social distancing.
Cant get appt to get anything fixed. Security at door cant even get into store without an appt. Would not have bought apple if I knew you were going to be treated like a criminal anytime you had an issue
Kate was very friendly and helpful in getting the product we needed and getting it set up for us. Schedule an appointment ahead of time due to COVID.
$5500 macbook comes with the smc overclock glitch out the box. burns itself up within 5 hours of receipt. the 24/7 expert technical support is 1) no expert and 2) isnt 24/7, so dont fall for that gimic. after 2.5 hours on we finally agreed to a refund. these people say they can help, put you on hold, then drop the call. sales or tech support cant decide who is going to actually help so i keep getting booted back and forth. do yourself a favor and save the 5k+ and get anything else.
Russell and Sam are great. They took their time and helped me with my iPhone XR.
Even though you cannot go in to shop/buy (online order pick up only) they still have Fast friendly service
I went into the Apple Store with an emergency, my phone would not work at all ! I couldn’t dial out, the storage was completely full and I wasn’t able to figure out how to get rid of things nothing was working I couldn’t delete anything. They got me in fast and were very courteous of my concerns and assured me that they would figure out the issue and resolve it before I left . I worked with Rich, he was absolutely wonderful he was so patient and kind and didn’t laugh when I asked “ dumb questions “ He was very personable and very professional and very knowledgeable he quickly fixed my issue and had my phone back up and running within about an hour and a half of getting to the store. I had spent 4 1/2 hours prior trying to fix the problem at home with absolutely no luck ! he also scheduled a courtesy call within the next couple of days in case I have any issues questions comments concerns or need help with anything else regarding the phone. Thank you for getting my phone up and running again thank you for taking the time to help me understand what I need to do in the future thank you for fixing my phone!! Rich is awesome ! 10 stars ⭐️
We had the pleasure of dealing with Joe K. and Merceta last night and all I can say is wow. They took their time to make sure we were taken care of and helped us along in our purchases. Thank you so much for your patience and assistance and for not just giving up on our issue.
You have to make an appointment...... But u can make one for the same day... My speaker was messed up only after 2 months of owning an xs brand new!!!! I brought it in guy checked the date in the settings seen I just bought the phone and that was it.... Took it back and fixed it in an hour..... I have the 12 max now and not scared because I know they will take care of me of theses a problem..... Buy new and get the apple care what I recommend
Great experience. Will try the arcade next time I come back.
The first time I was here, it was great. Simon was super helpful with my purchase. I was just there to get help with restoring my iPhone and I was not helped at all the entire time. I pretty much just sat in the store and eventually figured it out myself. It was frustrating, especially with so many workers running around. Its unfortunate that I like the phone so much, or else I would be switching immediately considering the quality of the customer service that is typically provided.
Still a great experience shopping here despite all the restrictions. The mall feels pretty dead, but apple is a beacon of hope shining in the middle of the mall.
Made an appointment to have my screen fixed and they went over and beyond with the service. Nova took care of me... she is so friendly and helpful! Thank you so much!
They were following protocols for covid-19. But a 2-hour wait just for a walk up was out of the question for me. Ended up purchasing an Apple watch online. Oh and for a less price. Thank you Verizon!
Was told I needed an appointment to enter the store, called to make and appointment and was told there were no appointments available for the future and there was nothing they could do. What a joke. Don’t waste your time
We came all the way from Canton to deal with our iPhones to ask a few questions. We show up they are taking temps which ok fine whatever. But they DENIED us service because they are only accepting “appointments”... WHAT? You accepting only appointments but yet I have things that need done. I get your under a specific amount of people. I get that you are following specific guidelines but to deny someone service just because they don’t have an appointment is totally messed up!
Lee handled our issues and stuck with us until everything was solved. Good manager too!
I just had an outstanding experience at this store. The employees were so personable and informed. It’s like a well oiled machine.Thank you Nate for the support
1st time at this mall! WOW have I been missing out! Its a must go if your in that area! Alot of stores an a food court!
I came in to pick up a watch and a young gentleman by the name of Simon assisted me. He was very pleasant to work with and was extremely personable! Good job on hiring him! Also he has a cool beard
The associate was very helpful and explained my sons purchase thoroughly. Unfortunately I forget his name, but he was great. Were not an Apple family, but my oldest is switching to an iPhone. The process was seamless, and the associate explained the transfer before the process began. All my dealings with this store have been great. If youre looking for an Apple product, I would recommend going to the source.
They do not understand the concept of appointments! I scheduled an appointment last week only to be stuck in line today. They are unable to let me know how far behind they are and informed me that people that arrived late for their appointments will be in front of me in line. It should not be that difficult to schedule appointments appropriately ! I counted 15 people standing around doing nothing - only 2 technicians working!
Have had a couple of experiences here, typically always good. Sales staff is slightly pushy but they’re just doing their job. No issues to complain about. Partner had a problem with his MacBook Pro and they helped him figure it out for a low charge.
At Apple care in Crocker park and get told they can not get me in for 4 more days for service to my phone! Multiple people having speaker issues and my screen is cracked! Why pay for Apple care if the company can not get you in for services! Worst service I have seen and I will be switching devices and will no longer use Apple again! Good luck to the people dealing with these issues!
This store has the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They claim they fixed my issue, charged me $180 but when I got my computer home - NOT FIXED.I took the computer back but the Genius Bar guy said I he couldn’t help me. He said I would need to do a chat with Apple online support. So, after 2.5 hours of being on the Apple chat they still couldn’t figure out the issue.I called my internet provider to see if they could help. They did a factory reset on my router and my problem was fixed. The solution really makes me wonder if I really needed the part Apple said I needed. I think they made the whole thing up.
Workers seem to be under unnecessary stress but are good at their jobs. Need to protectIng them from this because they should be completely stress free. I believe apple needs to hire their own security to manage the entrance because the security guards are not apple standard and that quality is the best. Apple products are great always have been but I think right now with Covid it’s not a good time for people to be out shopping spending money irrationally. Just seems to be an unsafe environment and I would question why people are so concerned in the areas of commerce that seem unusual. Pray Jesus Christ blood. Do not conform of the ways of this world.
Great customer service, Michael was super friendly and helped me with my issue fast and quick. If you have Apple products, it was worth the drive if you do not live close to an Apple store. After dealing with my local Best Buy Geek Squad (who was of no help-but Apple suggested to try first due to location) Highly recommended!
It wasnt too crowded, seems like everybody was wearing their masks and enjoyed walking around going to store to store, it was a very pleasant time, even bought some cologne in the mall area. Very friendly people oh, good times
Considering there’s a PANDEMIC, they’re doing amazing.
I have been an Apple product user for over 10 years. During this time I have owned iPhones, iPads, iPods and a MAC desktop computer. The customer service I have received at this store is making rethink any future Apple purchases.I was asking some questions to the employee that was helping me about what was going to done during the repair of my computer. I could barely get any answers. The guy just kept swiping his iPad and asking me to sign my name. There was no explanation about what I was signing or what to expect.I then spoke with a manager. I believe his name was Josh. He was extremely short with me. I would dare to say rude in his behavior. The customer service I received from multiple employees at this store really makes me question how the store is still operational. If I continue with Apple products, I will not be returning here.
Its your run-of-the-mill Apple Store. Im really not big on the buy appointment only gimmick but I guess we have to make do in these times.
Went to Fixed my MacBook Air all the way from Youngstown, OH to Apple store Akron when I told the guy at the door he said he can transfer my request to the manager but Manager was so rude and said he dont have any technician, how can apple store running without technician and told me come next time by taking appointment. I understand some stores want you to come by an appointment but store like Apple cannot run without technician. I request him but no help felt little discriminated.
Better make an appointment and find a backup phone. I couldnt drop my phone off for repairs. You need an appointment. One week away. Temp checks. Have fun. Overrated in my opinion..
Overall their setup makes no sense, however when we got assisted we had a great worker!
Customer Service was AMAZING!!
I arrived at the time of my appointment and was taken right away. Bray solved my problem immediately. He explained what happened and why and answered any other questions I had. He was patient and helpful in sharing his knowledge. Thank you, Bray!
I reached out to this store to do a battery replacement on my MacBook Pro. Connor at the store told me that I could/should just trade it into Apple for a trade in value of $880 since it did turn on as long as it was plugged in. I took his advice and as a result Apple rejected my trade in and now Im out the $880 that I put towards a new MacBook Pro. Would not recommend them.
Terrible customer service when you wait in line to buy ipad and their security guards wont let you in! 👎🏽
Went to Apple Store in Summit Mall Thursday evening and Jay at the Genius Bar worked very diligently to help me with a No SIM card issue I had been having for a few weeks. It took a lot of patience on his part due to factors beyond his control and he handled the whole ordeal in such a professional manner and was very kind to me throughout the process. Can’t thank him enough!!
When you have a business wanting to schedule appointments because you arent talking walk-ins and have had several calls in, multiple messages left with no return calls, it makes you wonder how they stay in business. Will be taking our business elsewhere. Very unprofessional!
Stopped in to get help syncing up a device to a phone and they would help. You don’t need an appointment to browse but you need an appointment to get help with a product you already own. That is terrible customer service. I’ll look at Android for my next phone.
A business associate and I visited the Apple Store at Summit Mall and had the pleasure of being helped by Jackie Kennedy. She answered every question and gave us the buying assistance we were looking for. You can not get this level of professional, educated, personable help when buying online. Jackie made our buying experience wonderful, a true ten out of ten (10/10). I have always had a great customer experience at this store over several years of visiting it for various needs. Stop in, you will be glad that you did.
Very helpful. Every time Im THERE 10 years NOW
Great Genius Bar, helpful and they actually get things right! I bought my Pro Book in 2011 there and now they wont look at it because its old, I mean hey I spent over 2,000 bucks on this thing and it works, look at it already! I think their accessory products are overpriced but thats a corporate thing. Overall its a good resource store.
I have bought so many things from here...Apple watches, phones, an iPad, and a computer. I referred my mother, and she drove almost 2 hours to go to this store...she came home, and when I reviewed her receipt, they overcharged her (and included expenses they did NOT tell her about) AND they messed up and disconnected her old phone and didn’t connect her new phone for calls or texts. So now she has no way to call out...and the store hours are limited now, so of course you can’t get on touch with anyone on the phone or online that can actually help. I am SO DISAPPOINTED. I will not be going back to this store or referring anyone ever again!
I had an overall wonderful experience. Amber was so helpful and patient with my special needs son. She would joke with him and set timers on her ipad to see if he could be patient that amount of time. All the employees were friendly and super patient with him, as he can be quite demanding of your time. GREAT JOB!!
Always great service and even when they are busy they notice you right away! I just enjoy stopping in to check out new accessories. Always good to make appointment if coming in on weekend or a release date!
Spent my morning with some very smart people!!! The tech and team lead who helped me were thorough and knowledgeable! They were going to replace my phone (I was 4 days out of warranty!) but through some investigating. . .found out Verizon would do it for no charge. Win Win! Thanks again! I enjoyed my morning with you ;)
Had such a good experience with Ali. My boyfriend and I couldn’t decide if we wanted to fix our iPhone X’s or get new ones and he went above and beyond to give us all the answers to our questions and to help us out. This man deserves a raise. We did end up buying new phones and I am so happy with our purchase. Thank you Ali :)
I recently had an appointment with the Genius Bar for a charging issue with my laptop and suspected it was the power brick but they wanted to run a diagnostic test which was fine. The genius was very rough with my MacBook Pro, repeatedly sliding his iPad into it out of boredom, thumping his thumbs on it to some song he was humming, sliding it around on the corner on the table. I had to inform him of the year as he was unsure, just very irresponsible with my laptop. I then bought a new charger brick and returned home. When arriving home my laptop was too hot to even touch as they left the diagnostics running for hours. Very unhappy with the whole experience and the “geniuses” at Apple.
Excellent service the minute we stepped in the door. The young man who helped me with my I Pad problem name was Moses. Very personable and friendly. I would definitely do business there again.
I like how they are trying to keep people from getting sick. Very helpful and kind people
I had been calling for days but no one ever answers the phone. After 4 days of calling, I finally made contact with someone. I asked if the Manager of Josh could call me so I could discuss a negative customer service situation I encountered. I was told someone would call me back.Well, to their credit a manager did call, but it was exactly a week after I requested the call. How can a store operate when it takes a week to make an appointment and a week for someone to call back??!!
I wish I could leave 0 stars. The customer service is horrible. The manager Josh is unbelievably bad at his job.I took my computer in to have a new WIFI card installed. Apparently the fine print states the computer could be erased. However, the technician said “you are getting a new WIFI card. There is a SLIGHT chance you MAY lose data”. No one explained backup options. Instead, the technician made it sound like there was a tiny chance this would happen and I shouldn’t worry about it.When I picked the computer up, I realized all my data from the past 5 years was gone. At that time, the technician made it sound like I had been informed this would happen, it was in the fine print I signed off on and Apple is not responsible for data.I also learned Apple does not have a data recovery department. I think this is because that department would be overwhelmed with work due to the way they do business and just wipe everything out.So, now I have to send my hard drive to a data recovery company in California. They said IF anything can be recovered, it will cost up to $2700 for this process.Josh, the manager, explained Apple does not cover this cost, Apple does not offer any help whatsoever except providing the name of a company that might be able to help. And, to top it all off THE WIFI PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED!!!!!
If you have nothing but time, this is the place for you. Every time we go to this store for service it takes a minimum of 90 minutes. Told to come back to pick up phone at a certain time and took 30 minutes longer. Staff is friendly though but seem to have standard lines to say to ensure you everything is being taken care of.
Love love love!Anytime I have an issue an Apple employee is always there to help. I have been to this location plenty of times. Never once have I even dealt with a rude employee or someone that couldn’t help. I used to be a android owner for years till my son convinced me to switch. I’m with Apple devices forever. Thank you all employees that work at this location.
Why are appointments still needed? No one is at the mall during the middle of the day. Most of the employees are just standing around, but security won’t let you in without an appointment.I am so over Apple.
I come here often for training in the use of VoiceOver on my iPhone and iPad. Each time I come in, I have a great experience. The trainers are very knowledgeable. If I come in with an advanced question they don’t know the answer to, they are always willing to Research it further. They allow me to try out different devices in the store to determine the best one for my needs. The trainers may make a recommendation for a specific device, but I never feel pressured to purchase anything. I had that happen at a different Apple Store, but not at Summit Mall. They always let make the final decision on how to proceed.
Parking is a mess and cars speed through.
Friendly caring and there to help
Was immediately assisted by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff member. Visiting any Apple store makes me feel like Im visiting the future in the Netherlands so theres that. =]
