Most amazing hardware store for the last 90 years. Only 20+ years have I been a customer and they have always had what I needed. My favorite part other than the personalities working here is the fact that I have either named my own price or at least paid less than I shouldve.

West Hill hardware has been my go-to place for years..there was nothing they could not fix, repair, re-do, re-create, or actually create!!! Always with smiles and a laugh...thank you for all the help and kindness. Best of everything to you..will miss you, but more than that am grateful for you!!!

I now live in California and was not able to find specific nails needed to restore an antique. As a former resident of Akron I knew I could count on this hardware store as it is like going back into time. It seems to have everything one needs for repairs. It is a real gem. Mr. Tschantz, thanks for your help in locating the items and mailing them to me. ......... I just found out that you are closing...so sad as your place is so unique.

Ive been frequenting this store since childhood and the staff have continued to deliver on whatever my needs have been. The staff are knowledgeable, creative and engaging. Impressive!

I love West Hill Hardware! They can help you with any of your OLD house needs! They had the parts for my shower repair, fixed the handles on a claw foot tub and helped me with so many other things. Please support this local store. We can’t afford to loose these types of unique businesses.

West Hill Hardware has been around for 100 years,its a family owned business that my grandfather and family needed many, many times over the years to maintain their immaculate house/home in the Valley St./W.Market area of our town.It had/has so many old school items,so many curious hardware things!! I love just walking through the store 😊and theres a basement thats full of odd items!! The employees and present owners are all customer oriented and will do their very best to satisfy your unique needs, including referrals to other businesses in the area.They sayACE is the place,but I go to Westhill Hardware,first!👍

This store is for any true hardware store lover. The people are courteous, knowledgable, and helpful. Plus they have just about anything you could ever need, want, or think looks cool. Not for anyone allergic to cats. They have a cute grey cat that roams the store. Perhaps one of the best hardware shopping experiences Ive ever had.

Its a really good old school hardware store. And the people there are really helpful and down-to-earth.

I could literally get lost in here! They have got a little bit of everything, and then some—repurposed items, tons of little bits and gadgets and stuff that has no business being in a hardware store, but are awesome finds anyways (pearl necklaces, collectible spoons, etc). Really nice people, fun, funky vibe inside—I adore this place so much!

Great store. they have a little bit of everything and at a good price. when you need an oddball piece or tool home depot wont have it but they will. the whole time being very friendly and helpful.

Ive always had a great experience at the WHH. The staff has not only help me for over thirty years, but the community. So I will say, its going to be a sad day when they are gone. Dilly, Dilly Faithful patron.

This place is awesome. I needed a pin for an old door hinge that I thought Id never find and they had one that needed so custom adjustments and the owner took care of it. Great store but even better people.

You can get almost anything here, great discounted prices, friendly staff. It beats having to drive all the way to home Depot or Lowes. Where I live we dont have anything close.

Friendly service, knowledgeable help, some unusual items to boot. Always try to visit whenever we are in Akron. Mr. Richard and the guys are very helpful. Need more places with that type of service.

This is one of the last old time hardware stores stocked with lots of hardware pieces and parts you wont find anywhere else. Call to confirm their hours.

There is no Old House remodeling project Richard can not help you with. Looking for period correct sinks or that odd size door. West Hill probable has it.
