I was very impressed on all aspects with this company so far. I was greeted warmly and treated with respect upon creating my account. I was given all instructions and any information I wanted to know. The next day I took things to my unit and I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the place and the security. Although I dont plan to use my unit for TOO long... (but we all know how that goes) I look forward to telling friends and family about the great experience.

They shock you every time you leave, it is very frustrating. The truck that is advertised as a benefit has been in the shop for over two months and unavailable.

This was my first experience in renting a storage unit. Ms. Lisa was extremely helpful and we enjoyed chatting with her. I didnt feel rushed or have any questions that she was not more than happy to answer. Once we decided we wanted to rent a unit all of the paperwork was a breeze. I would definitely recommend using Morningstar Storage (Alabaster) for your storage and/or moving needs.

Have had a great experience here. Michelle was always so friendly and encouraging, but professional, too. The units were clean and well maintained. But more than that Michelle really cared about our family and the things we stored there. I appreciated her personal touch. I wouldnt hesitate to come back when I need a place again!

I was with Morning Star for almost a year. From start, middle and finish, they were by far THE greatest company! Their customer service is out of this world. They truly make you feel like family. They keep you abreast with any pertinent information... I mean, they honestly care about each and every person.The facility is amazingly clean... Best customer service! We got a small unit to start with then moved to a larger then got a second unit and they helped so much by trying to keep them close to each other! The provided carts and truck are by far the BEST thing we didnt know we needed! So glad I found them!! Highly recommend this place if you need storage of any kind! Morningstar Storage in Alabaster is a great gated storage facility. You can enter 24/7, which is great for us people that work. They also have a truck that you can use for 4 hours free. It is clean and well kept. The office staff is knowledgeable about the rental business, which is great if you have any questions.

Got notice they were raising rates come 1st of the year. Moved out on the 7th of the month and couldnt get a partial refund of the month because I didnt give 10 days notice by the 10th. Paid $73 for a closet (my unit was closet sized) for 7 days. Pretty awesome return..for them! Nice enough people but rates dont make it worthwhile...for sure

Entry gates and doors are often left open. Anybody with a bolt cutter can get in your unit with those open. Staff doesnt know how to zoom cameras when theft occurs. Alabaster Police Car is often sitting on the property as a dummy car and deters no theft.

Her helpful, understanding and knowledgeable demeanor, makes the whole securing a storage space process easy and painless. Facilities are impeccably clean, well maintained and easily accessible. I recently purchased a unit to store my things in between homes.While the lovely manager Michelle was helping me a very rude customer interrupted my transaction.Michelle behaved eloquently and she handled the customer with grace. She was very kind and very helpful and made an uncomfortable situation very pleasant I enjoyed the experience of coming there.

Both Lisa and Michelle were top notch! Very helpful, informative, and this place is clean with easy access. You wont find a better storage unit; they have each and every size available. My fiance and I are storing here for three months while were waiting for our house to be finished. Will use them anytime in the near future! *Michelle gets your sarcasm, so use it a lot! :)

Very nice storage area that is very conveniently located near the interstate, but not right in the middle of town to be a problem getting in and out of. The storage building is gated and monitored and seems to be very safe and secure.

I am a Piano Tuner/Technician who at times have to store pianos in my 6x12 enclosed trailer. I had 2 grand pianos (stored on their side) and a self-player upright strapped in place when my sister asked to borrow the trailer to move her sons furniture and belongings from an apartment to a home he had purchased.My storage areas were maxxed so I had to find a quick fix for my situation. I had just checked with Morningstar Storage about temporary storage prices for a customer the day before, so I called them once again. Within an hour I was moving the pianos into a storage unit that was not only spacious enough (with room to spare), but fit within my budget and was a safe environment for the instruments.The representatives there were very professional and so helpful in solving my delimma. New manager is inexperienced. Doesnt even know how to take a payment. Calls me sweetie. Every other word out of her mouth is sweet heart or sweetie. Its really fake! She couldnt even take my payment. I ship and pay for federal express several times a month here and now I have learned I have to go somewhere else for fedex. Closest location is in hoover and quite a drive. One of the reasons I chose Cool Box Private storage is because of their federal express shipping services. New manager couldnt even tell me what size storage unit I would need because she doesnt understand the concept of the storage industry. Also couldnt tell me what all would fit on the truck. If you get a unit you only get their free box truck for 4 hours and then you have to pay per hour over that. Lots of hidden fees here as well. There is a fee for application, they make you buy their insurance and make it pain in the butt to prove you have your own, they make you buy their lock as well. By the time all is said and done you are paying about 50 bucks more than the price for the unit. This is a greedy company. I plan on moving out at the end of the month. Still very clean and secure here, but the price is simply not worth it. No fedex service is a major inconvenience.

Price increases were too much too often. Glad we moved cities and storage units.
