Absolutely love, love, love their Pho. Different than anywhere else on the island, much more flavorful. When I asked about it, they mentioned that Pho originated in Northern Vietnam, where the owners are from. Most other Vietnamese restaurants have roots from Saigon, in the south of Vietnam.
Its my usual go to for pho in Alameda. My only wish would be for a bowl of pho ga with dark meat instead of white meat.
Craving for a hot pho in the neighborhood of Alameda after whole morning of meeting and Found this new restaurant on yelp search.Very nice and clean Vietnamese restaurant. Smiley server was very courteous. The no. 11 pho was hot and delicious. Plenty ingredients filled in the pretty big size of bowl. There weren’t many customers. But we certainly enjoyed it very much. Will try different items at our next visit.
Beef stew neural have only fatty pieces and to go with the Spring rolls only a small amount of its all amount of a debt
I love their Tofu sandwiches. Their bread is always fresh and they use soft tofu thats slightly seared. I tend to leave out th cilantro and jalapenos when I order this but those come pretty standard in these sandwiches. Be aware that theres a minimum $15 order to be able to use a credit card. Add in a Thai iced tea and an order of egg rolls and your good to go!
Pretty good food.
Our family really enjoys the Banh Mi sandwiches to go. They are always fresh, and usually ready within a half hour of phoning in the order. Highly recommended
The best Vietnamese food in the area. At least of the dozen places Ive tried. I was heart broken when they stopped doing uber eats. Now I dont get there often.
Super tasty pho
Beef and rice plate so bomb!!!
Got the medium rare beef pho (beef broth with rice noodles) and pork banh mi. The broth was slightly sweet, veering toward bland, and lukewarm. The rare meat was hard to chew through, couldnt really pull it apart with chopsticks either. Didnt think there would be bits of ginger floating about when its usually lemon grass. Overall, okay pho. Good portion at least.Bread for the banh mi was chewy and slightly doughy, not like the really crispy outer shell of French bread thats banh mi is known for. Pork was sweeter than desired while pickled carrots was sweet, couldnt taste any tang. Couldnt taste the pate, if there was any. Overprice for an okay banh mi.
Food was good. Staff was friendly and food was affordable. Having our toddler with us it was nice that the biggest toy store is 2 blocks away.
Been going here for years. Consistently good quality and prices
A popular place among locals. The real surprise is the fried rice. It is better than youd expect. Try it before the chef changes.
Was going to give two stars because the food isnt terrible but there are so many better places close by. This place is overpriced. Not as many options as other pho places. Charges 50 cents for each to go container which makes you double think if the food is even worth taking home. It isnt. As someone who hates wasting food, it says something when you would rather have them throw food away then pay a few cents more to eat the rest later. It just isnt that good. Skip this one.
Tonight was the first time Ive dined here since they reopened for indoor dining. The stir fried garlic tofu tasted very good. With a $20 credit card minimum its going to be very difficult for this restaurant to climb out of the 3 point review. For more than a year-and-a-half I did not eat here simply because I did not want to order more than $20 worth of food, and I did not want to go to the ATM.Given that most of the time when I am eating out on Park Street, its after work, and Im by myself, itll probably be a couple more years before I eat here again. Sometimes you just dont want to spend $21.Side story: Ill never forget, the last time I ate here, about a year-and-a-half ago, my bill came to $19.50. They refused to take credit card. I said, with tip it will be over $20. They still refuse to take the credit card. All I had on me was a 20. I paid with that $20 bill. If you ever heard anything so ridiculous.
The chicken banh mi is the best i have ever had
They gladly sat me at a table 25 minutes before closing on a Saturday night. The pho was fresh, delicious, and gave me the comfort I was needing. Ill be back.
The food is pretty good overall and its a chill place to eat. The service could be a bit better, just because they kind of forget about you after they bring you the food. They wouldnt come over to see how everything was or to get any refills.
Super amazing beef stew pho! Very rich broth! Loved it! Will come back next time I’m in SF.
Good food, large servings, at a good price. Staff are friendly (and the background music is great).
Delicious food and friendly service. Portions are big, for me, but all good.
Everything Ive tried here is delicious. And I think Ive tried everything... Yum!
Great food! Very flavorful, waitress was very pleasant....and cute! Place also closes late. Awesome!
Best pho I’ve had so far nice n fresh setting the bar high
Food was good but every fountain drink tasted of salt water...WTF.When we asked they just said, Yeah, it happens from time-to-time.
I ordered the same dish I usually get at another place, that happened to be closed tonight. Pho Sinh BBQ Pork had much better flavor and the portions more generous than their competitors a couple blocks away.
Very astute young man at the counter. Im assuming his mother was also working and they were quick and personable.
Yum. Garlic noodles and deliciousness for a pretty good price. And beautiful art! I split an appetizer and an entree and it was perfect. Id go back!
No fuss, good pho, great service
I came here for my graduation dinner since it was one of the restaurants still open at around 9 to 10 and the waitress was so nice. The food is pretty good. Authentic of course.
Ordered take out from Grubhub wait an hour and this place cancels my order with no reason given. No contact, nothing. Guess they dont want my business during the lock down.
Made me wait 20 minutes while glaring at me. only to tell me that they didnt have anymore of what I wanted to order.
So unprofessional rude and dont appreciate business at this time of valued customer they need to take a class or something the food was microwaved and when asked if the food could be warmed or warmer told me to stand outside never will i go here
Food was tasty though the soup bowls arent very big considering their prices are inflated compared to other pho restaurants, their soup prices start at $10.25! So in terms of value Id definitely recommend you go elsewhere. Not to mention, their service is subpar. We had to ask for ice water twice even after guests seated after us were served first! This will be the first and last time we visit.
Pho Sinh in downtown Alameda is convenient by AC Transit, serves some wonderful Vietnamese cuisine. Item # 61 Bun cha Ha noi, marinated grilled pork patties vermicelli, Vietnamese coffee very strong and tasty, fried banana with ice cream. These were all quiet delicious.
Cold soup and rude staff.
Incredible northern Vietnamese spot with top tier products. A must visit for local foodies!
Slow and bad service. The food is regular. All the process was really horrible. Wait time 30 minutes, wait time for napkins: never come. Wait time por pay check: I was need go to the cashier desk. Definitely not go there anymore
Food was great, price was right and the service was excellent.
Tasty food and fast service
Since when does lemon grass have two beedy eyes and wings? Yes two ladies insisted this bug in my soup was lemon grass. Yet they quickly removed the lemon grass from my soup and didnt offer to replace the food. Not so happy
Being from out of town was very impressed with the quality of the food
First pho experience... really yummy
The young man that works here needs some serious hospitality training.
Good Vietnamese food with reasonable prices
Best Northern style Pho and other dishes like Bun cha, Cha ca, bun rieu in the Bay area. This place gives me the taste of home without traveling thousand miles.
The pho was very good
Good rice places and crispy imperial rolls, cant go wrong.
Im from a very Vietnamese neighbourhood in Sydney (Marrickville, NSW) and this is the only place Ive found in the Bay Area that makes spring rolls and sandwiches the way Im used to. Ill leave it to the Vietnamese to decide whether its authentic, but Im always happy when I come here. ☺ UPDATE (10/2018): … except just now. The food was still great, but I was really unimpressed with the service. Hopefully it was just an off night, but it was so slow and unfriendly that I felt compelled to knock a couple of stars off.
Good food at a good price.
My first time in California and eating this type of food. LOVED the fresh basil. A small treasure in Cali!!
Our go-to pho spot in Alameda. Really good service and delicious pho at decent prices.
Gave me barely any food on my plate and charged me more than its actual cost, made me pay a 7 tip with their horrible customer service
Good banh mi sandwiches.
We ordered Pho Tai, pork and egg rice plate, and chicken wings. Tasted delicious like home cooked Vietnamese food
The pho is pretty great, and they bundle it up nice for takeout too.
I love the PHO here!!!
Delicious and authentic pho! Will come again!
Customer service not to good. Food is ok but could use more food options
Good food, nice service, convenient location.
Price too high for quality. Service is decent.
Beef plate was the most delivious meat i ever tasted.!! N Garlic noodles soooooo delicious.
Good food, large selection
Best Pho in Alameda. Nice rich broth.
Vietnamese is hard to mess up but even the summer rolls were tasteless and all typy need site that is to throw the right ingredients together. There want even soy sauce on the table to fix the blandness. Also they forgot the plate of veggies that comes with pho I had to ask for that as well to add flavor! Over proceed for the quality too
Got my order wrong twice even though I explained my allergy
Nice place, I always get the phó tai, the best phó in alameda in my opinion. 🍜
Nice small pho place
