Great store with everything you could possibly need and more from a hardware store! Super friendly staff too!

Ace Hardware needs to fix their on line search tool! No matter what I typed in, including power tools it could not locate anything and power tools are big dollars! So whats up?

Ace is a helpful place. You dont have come in a rush here, the old duffers that work at this location have years of experience and stories to share. If you find the time, your day can be made while picking up supplies for your home projects

Only visited the garden center to purchase a Hibiscus for our daughters yard. Staff was very helpful and assited with the selection. A very nice inventory to choose from.

I have yet to go go Ace and not find what I need, and a friendly face to find it. I’ve bought everything from paint to smoke detectors, weird light bulbs that I couldn’t find anywhere else, plants, planters, and (I saved the best for last) KITCHEN stuff. The Kitchen Store at our Alamo Ace has literally everything. I mean every single time I decide to try something new in the kitchen and need some gadget, appliance, or piece of cookware, this place has it. And on top of that, the folks who work there are not only helpful and friendly, but super-knowledgeable as well. The icing on the cake was yesterday when I went in with a bit of an oddball request. I recently purchased a Dutch oven and was tickled that it came with a special knob on the top - a rooster! I was not as tickled when I realized that the silly thing wouldn’t fit in my oven unless I removed all but one rack. So I went in and asked if I could exchange my fancy knob for a plain one. Apparently, its not that easy as my whole purchase was “special”. But instead of a flat out “no”, the two ladies working in the store came up with an idea... they traded my fancy knob for the plain knob on the pot they use for kitchen demonstrations. Done and dusted. LOVE this hometown store.

This has got to be hands down the nicest biggest most organized Ace hardware Ive ever been in in my life they have so much stuff youll have trouble getting out of there and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable in a lot of areas of course its Alamo so the price for things might be a little higher than home Depot but dont let that discourage you this is a great store with something for everybody if you think its just nuts and bolts you couldnt be more wrong and need to see for yourself I promise you will a whole different Outlook

If you need something in Hardware, Garden or Barbecue, this is the place to go. Stihl dealership, for those that Dont settle for anything but the best tools for your outdoor projects. Miele dealer, for your indoor vacuuming needs. Replacement parts available. Knowledgeable and friendly staff .... 👍👍😃😃

Keldon doesn’t make me feel very welcomed. Customer service kinda sucks.

I have to say, this place is pretty amazing. It was the only place in the bay area that had the dual heater fire pit. And it did not fit in the back of my suv, so they broke down the box and fit the pieces in. Really great service and an incredible inventory of outdoor items. Id go back of it wasnt 50 miles away.

While shopping for product to loosen a rusted, head broken off, stuck bolt, I was told by an employee that Ace provides a service of loosening stuck bolts and screws. Since the bolt seemed cemented in place, I brought the bolt in. Marty took the item in the back and did his magic. He came out to the floor about 8 minutes later and the bolt was removed from the unit. He had to use two vice grips and a lot of power to remove the bolt. His effort saved me about $75.00. Thank you Marty and Ace Hardware. What a nice complimentary service you provide!!!!

Returned a light bulb fast friendly. In covid 19 world the store is difficult to navigate and socially distance would recommend not shopping during peak hours. Great staff

This local Axe is great. The staff is helpful and kind, everyone wears masks, distances as much as possible, and there is a great variety of items.

Staff if fairly knowledgeable and usually pretty kind. Does not have the biggest selection but covers most needs. Parking lot can be a pain on busier days

24 hours after placing an online order and having heard nothing I called the store only to speak with a rude and unapologetic associate who told me the items in my order werent available and she didnt know what to do so she just did nothing at all. I definitely wont be giving business to this particular Ace anytime soon. Side note- whatever Aces main website says is available probably isnt so just shop at Home Depot or Amazon.

The Alamo Ace is an excellent stop for selection of actual hardware, well stocked drawers of stuff you did not find elsewhere and never any forklifts in the aisles!

Staff treats customers as if we are in the store to steal. I only go to the Alamo store if it is the most convenient at the time. Otherwise, I plan my shopping at different AH stores.

I have bought over $1000. Worth of plants here. I had 2 Italian Cypress plants out of eight that did not survive. I take great care with my yard and garden. I brought the 2 back for refund or exchange. The buyer, garden department manager gave me a 10 minute questioning on my watering practices. Treated me like a criminal.Never been treated like this anywhere.Extremely disappointed in this experience. I have always driven by Home Depot, Lowe’s another Ace and 2 nursery’s to buy my plants and hardware. Even bought a Traeger here.Anyway, this guy is a jerk.

People here are knowledgeable on what they have on stock and are really friendly to help you find what you are looking for.

A very large hardware store. Much more convenient then the box stores. You can get help finding items or you home projects. Watch for their special price items. Includes a large kitchen shop yet they have a large selection of nuts and bolts. Dont forget the nails.

Good service and advice. This is as close as it comes to your neighborhood hardware store these days.

This ace store saved my plants... had a hard time finding my monterey garden insect pray in any store in my area im from pittsburg .. called the garden dep at ace and my savoir good old betty found what i needed and she even put some aside for me and have it at the cashier for me waiting ... got there and was in and out in 2 minutes wait time... appreciate you betty salute....

So this, in my opinion, is a better Ace than Walnut Creek location. Well stocked on supplies. Its kitchen department is pretty awesome as well - I was surprised by a good deal on a 12 Finex cast iron pan with lid combo. Im a regular customer 👍

Expensive & unorganized. It was frustrating to find things marked up at such high prices. I left without purchasing anything & found what I needed at Target & saved myself $26.

Great service. I bought a product that was cheaper on their website. I called and they matched the price right away and refunded the difference on my card. Always helpful staff, a great place to shop. Much better than Home Depot!!

It is the people that make the place. The people here are great! They are all so knowledgeable and helpful. Whenever a project needs help. They are there with great solutions and always happy to help. Great hardware store...not for just the products!

Friendly staff to assist. Easy going shopping. Smaller old building, but adequate. They seem to have what you need; for a hardware store. Easy returns. Nursery is in separate area in parking lot. Ample choices of nursery items.

This is a well stocked store with most if not all of your hardware needs . Always adequate help available and friendly employees. Four star due to overcrowded parking with too small spaces not designed for larger vehicles. Oh well cant have everything .

The workers here including the supervisors are quite a jerk. Bad service.

I was happy this place was so close to my job. Unfortunately they are pretty much out of stock on everything in plumbing. I ended up having to go to Home Depot. Shame on you guys :-(

Shopped here a few times last few years. In general, dont find the staff friendly or particularly helpful. Good neighborhood nursery though with a nice selection of plants.

Higher than normal Ace Hardware prices. Very few knowledgeable staff. Barely anyone knew where anything was in the store.

Nice place but HELLA pricey. HELLA PRICEY. You go to any other Ace and notice the punch when you go to pay. Every staff person is great. None under 55 but kind and super slow. What I bought cones in a two pack but not at this store, its single unit priced at double pack item. 1 can @ $9.99 but any other Ace 2pk is $8.99 same item same size but 2pack. Plants are VERY expensive as well.

Always get excellent customer service at Ace. This time I needed to buy an oversized item and get red flags to drive home I looked and looked I couldnt find them so I asked customer service and it turns out that give you that for free. Ace always takes care of you.

I have been served and help by a gentleman named bruce and because how helpful and professional he has been we have not been back to home depo or Lowes hes such a great person and has been so helpful👍 i can not say enough hes an awesome worker thank you Ace Hardware

Unfriendly borderline rude manager. The Xmas tree barely reached the 7 to 8 feet category because of a long twig at the top. Manager got out his tape measure and insisted it was 7 feet to charge us an extra $10. Great Xmas spirit! Ill be going to Home Depot or Walnut Creek Ace where they know how to treat their customers well.

Id forgotten what a special Hardware Store this is. Now my go to since OSH closed in San Ramon. They have everything and has that old style feeling and great customers service.

With Orchard Supply Hardware closing, Alamo Hardware is the place to go if you want to avoid the big box stores. They have a wide selection and helpful staff that seems to be knowledgeable about the products that they sell.

If you are doing House repair you can probably find it there. they have a small selection but almost anything you can break in your house theyll have a replacement for. The staff is great and will help you find things quickly. Four stars because 10% of the time I have to go down to San Ramon to Home Depot to get a part.

Alamo Ace Hardware is everything a local hardware store should be and more. Keith has always been very nice and knowledgeable about the products and services his store offers. If I have questions he answers them and I never feel like I am just another customer.Once, when there was a power outage he kept his store running and even had each customer escorted by flashlight through the store with an attendant making sure they could get what they needed.

Once again, Big Al to the rescue!! Hes always there with a friendly smile, a helping hand, and words of encouragement.

Lady at key area was helpful and gave me a name of place to get a key that I need which they didnt have in stock. Man at customer service got me help at key center but he was a little rude to me at first when I brought in some batteries and flourcent lights to be recycled to go to hazard waste place. I didnt like his response when I told him the lights are still good and someone else could use that I changed to LEDs.

The manager of this store is both insulting and dishonest.My husband, a regular customer, was falsely accused of shoplifting at Alamo Hardware this afternoon.. an employee saw him put his reading glasses back in his bag and assumed the worst. After paying for his $75 worth of merchandise, my husband turned to leave and was prevented from doing so by several employees. My husband voluntarily emptied his bag on the counter by the cash register and invited the employee who had accused him to point out what item(s) were stolen.Rather than admitting his mistake and apologizing, he told my husband to never return to Alamo Hardware, or the police would be called.All this, because my husband took his reading glasses out of his bag to read a label and put them back into his bag while shopping in the store.Shame on you, Alamo Hardware! This is beyond rudeness! Your employees behavior is despicable!
