How to go here because when I went to Walmart theres not the pain I want it on the Shelf plus the shelves are almost empty from their paint. So I had to come here True Value to see if they had paint. They had what I want but they were pricey

A customer was holding up the line arguing with the cashier about the customer in front of her and how she thought he didnt get the correct change. I was actually suprised at cool teh cashier was and didnt get upset. He shouldve called the manager and him deal with her, she was enjoying the attention and holding up 6 or 7 other customers waiting to pay, including me. Crazy!

This store has been around for 100 years for a reason. It values customer service above all else. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. I love that this store is a community favorite and is involved so intimately in all the events and fundraisers going on in Alamo. It truly cares about the members of its community.

Prices are certainly higher than the big boxers, but the personalized service and help more than makes up, imo. For small home repair/refurb jobs, this is a smart choice.

They went above and beyond to make sure I had EXACTLY what I needed to get the job done. Although the original has been on for YEARS, they were able to match it--I say, miraculously! Johnny Kautsch is definitely a materials expert, and I am definitely an extremely happy customer!

I started out to build an addition on my mobile home with environmentally friendly material. A friend who works at Lowe’s told me to go to this hardware store and I would find everything I needed to complete my project. I met and sat down with the 4th generation owner John. What a pleasant experience it turned out to be. What he didn’t have in stock he found and got for me. Exceptional service, quality materials and they stand behind what they represent and sell. He even designed the layout for me after providing him site dimensions. This is reminiscent of our small town hardware store where I came from. Highly recommend this place to everyone that wants to build additions, porches, patios and decks.

Prices very high but pay for close location. Be careful on items that may have been on self too long. Wood putty wouldnt even come out of tube had to cut open & then only small portion usable.

Started this job looking for material at Home Depot didnt have the a clue on where to find what I was looking for in the store. Called McCoys hardware store they dont carry J channel soffit material anymore said to call Kautsch True Value. I was in and out of Kautschs in 20 minutes with everything I needed. Should have gone to Kautschs 1st!
