Not impressed with this dealership. The only dealership we visited that wanted to check credit before test driving. Be aware the advertised online price is lower than the actual selling price.
My experience with their sales department was less than stellar. I felt that the staff I interacted with were condescending and lacked product knowledge. Upon leaving here, I made a calls to another dealer who made a much more reasonable offer. I wouldn’t consider purchasing from them in the future. We make every attempt to “live local”, but places like this make it very difficult. We’ve also had an issue with the service department misdiagnosing a car repair in the past. They offered some reimbursement, but we were still out cash. I’ve always had a positive experience with the parts counter. I’d suggest making the trip to Charlotte.

My experience with this dealership has been very stressful. I discussed my issues at length with the service manager regarding the cost and length of time it took. Basically he wouldnt do anything to defray the cost, but would send a letter to Honda Corp. Not very likely that I will ever do business with them again. One * only because zero is not available.

This is by far the best car buying experience Ive ever had. Guy there named Jamie personally escorted me through the inventory, explained everything, and helped me settle on a 2020 Accord Sport that I love to death. Half way through the process I had a hiccup with insurance and he went WAY out of the way to help me get everything. All the guys there are super nice and Jamie sold me the car so cheap I felt like I ripped him off. If youre ever near Albemarle and need a car go see him, you wont be disappointed. 10 outta 10, two thumbs up!

So everything runs as slow here as everything else here in sleepy Albemarle. Third time I have brought my vehicle in for a concern and not be addressed however they do not mind charging. Went this morning. I called and made an appointment for an inspection and service and noise concern. Well a few months past I had the EXACT concern with the opposite side which was addressed and resolved. A few weeks later it started on the opposite side. I knew exactly what it was and that was my request. Well I understand they could not duplicate the concern because it was first thing in the morning. I was charged again a half hour labor for nothing and told if they noise appears come back. I drove all day and guess what.... there it was. I took the car back only to be told he may not get to it today. Thankfully the manager took it and immediately noticed the noise. His correction however was not as it was before. I then leave with no noise. And maybe drive 30 miles and there it is back. This is 3 trips I have made there and paid for absolutely nothing to be resolved. I cannot wait to get a survey. That’s all I will say. Thankfully the service manager was much more appropriate dealing with customers over the service advisor. I will never be back there. Never spend another dollar there. They may need to wake up and realize it’s a business and not a coffee shop. And not to mention the several faces around the dealership that pop up on moble patrol often.. time to go to a reliable and more dependable dealer which I trust. It sure will not be here!

I have been a really big fan of hot hatches and I always wanted one. I was deciding between a Ford Focus RS and a Civic type R. In November 3 I arrived at this dealership to see this 2017 Civic type R that they have in the lot, it was a great car but they were selling it $3000 over the msrp around $37995. This car first of all was an auction car and had a careless owner because I found lots of scratches. But I still wanted it at the time and told two salesman many times that let me know asap if there are any price changes on the car,and I left my phone number and e-mail. At last, I was not taken seriously because the price did eventually dropped to my sweet spot, but I wasnt notified by anything, not a phone call, a text, an e-mail, nothing! I know there arent many Civic type R s out there, but if a dealership wont show me the respect that I deserve, they will definitely not earn my business! I was told by the ford dealership the moment they dropped price and I ended up buying the Focus RS.I am talking about the emails that were sent personally to me by the salesman, not ads.

I went to this dealership this morning to have a friend of mine car inspected because she has a few issues and couldn’t do it herself..There were a few people ahead of me so I waited..Every time someone’s car was ready they came out, spoke with them then wished them a Very Merry Christmas...when it was my turn I was handed the key and told “It’s all set” then he was off to the next person..No Have a nice day, No thank you, not even a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays...It’s just not in some people to be nice kind or courteous to others...So I looked at him and wished him a Merry Christmas with a smile on my face that I wasn’t feeling...I really want a Honda CRV and considered coming here, But after the service I experienced this morning I may have to reconsider...Customer Service needs to be consistent with how they treat ALL CUSTOMERS...Merry Christmas Tim Marburger Service Department!

I originally gave 3 stars only because after we bought our new to us, used car, we were told no gas is put in. We literally left the dealership and had to pull in the gas station because it was completely empty. We were told that gas is not put into used cars. I traded in my Honda with a full tank of gas. We were also told since they closed at 6 that we would have to come back next week to have it detailed. You would think that knowing if a car is going to be sold, it would be cleaned out, and detailed first. Brad was great, and he helped us get the numbers we wanted, and leave with a car! Very pleased with the customer service and him being straightforward with us. They also have a playroom that our 3 year old daughter highly enjoyed. Everyone in the dealership was very friendly and polite. They made it right and gave me a car detail and filled up my gas so I changed to 5 stars because they deserve it.Posted 1.5 months after I bought my car BEFORE my first payment. I have changed my review down to 3 stars AGAIN. I did purchase this car used and as is. Before I have even made my first payment I called the dealership because I was having trouble with my car and it broke down. I just dropped 500 dollars to have the transmission fixed. I was told that there was nothing to be done. I am sorry to report but I do not think I will do business with Marburger Honda again. I was pleased before but after having to pay to have this car fixed before Ive even made my first payment I am so mad.

After I had my daughter, I wanted a larger car and chose a Honda Pilot. I had never had a Honda before and was not looking forward to going into a dealership. Within minutes of meeting the Sales Manager, JR Hathcock, he completely put me at ease and I knew I was making the right decision. The attention to detail and the care that JR and his sales team put in during my purchase made for one of the easiest and most enjoyable transactions I’ve ever had. Tim Marlboro has renewed my faith in them when an initial circumstance caused a little bit of a conflict many years ago. Their service departments raw and taking care of my aunts car has renewed some of the negative thoughts that I had about them originally.
I have had three very unfortunate incidents with this dealership.First, My son went to buy a used vehicle from them. The price was so high even with a $4000 down payment the car would not qualify. He went to another dealer and was approved immediately and even received 0% interest.Second, I took my truck into the dealership because it was overheating. After analyzing it the first time they said there was nothing wrong with it. It continued to overheat so I took it back a second time. They told me now that the head gasket had been blown. The charge for this to be fixed was going to be $5000. I took it to a fine mechanic in Troy named Steve Hair. He analyzed it and in fact it did need a new head gasket and he repaired it for under $2000.Within one week my wife’s Honda which has been serviced at this dealership for over 10 years needed an air conditioning review due to not cooling. Again they gave a price of almost $1200 to fix this issue. I took the same vehicle to Steve Hair and Troy and the cost was going to be less than $900.I need to state that we have been in long term customer of this dealership and all of our service has been done at this dealership. I am not sure what is happened over the past 2 to 3 years but the service is poor and the pricing is over market price
Tim Marburger Honda had the chance to earn my business across the last 3 vehicles I have purchased in 4 years. As a matter of fact this was the first dealer I started my vehicle search all 3 times.I always ended up going to larger dealers in the Charlotte area and ended up saving thousands of dollars between the trade in and purchase price of my new vehicles. While the purchase prices were reasonable, the trade in value I got offered here was always much lower than I got at larger dealers. If you lose on either end you are still losing money.Nice people but way too pushy for my taste. I think the dealership is just too small to compete price wise with the big players in the surrounding areas.

I just think its really poor customer service to not inform someone that a vehicle has been in an accident even if the title is not salvaged. I told my mom to wait for me before committing to buying a car. We both assumed that she would be fine at our local Honda dealership. We were totally wrong. Within two weeks of her purchase the bumper began to fall off and when contacted Tim Marburger said they do not have a body shop. Okay, fine she took it somewhere else to get it fixed and when they removed the bumper it was clear that the car had been in an accident. I live in Myrtle Beach, have purchased two vehicles and never had a car salesman pull something like that. My current vehicle had been in an accident and the salesman made sure to inform me of it. Its a pity that some people think its okay to not fully disclose everything just so he could get his commission. People like this are exactly why I left that area to begin with.
After deciding on a 2015 Pilot EXL, we began a search in NC, SC, TN, and VA. Several dealers had what we wanted in stock but most wanted more than we wanted to pay. I made contact with Sandy Scott and explained to him where we were in the search and what we were looking for. We communicated by email and phone for a couple of days, then set up a time for my wife to stop by and test drive the Pilot. Give and take is part of the car buying experience, and even though I was at work 3 states away, Sandy and I did most of the negotiating by phone before my wife got there. Once she arrived, she was treated with the utmost respect and made to feel at ease. Sandy was professional and courteous as he dealt with her, which was a concern since I was so far away. Tim in financing was efficient and moved the process along. The GM, Brian, stopped by and was friendly to her too, and the whole experience was pleasant for us. BUYER BEWARE! Negotiated on a new car that was at another dealership. We asked for the window sticker and they sent us the VIN number instead. When it arrived two days later, they very hurriedly had us sign paperwork. Got home, and the window sticker that was laying in the backseat was almost $4,000 cheaper. The motor was different than negotiated on and had 200 extra miles. Went back to the dealership and got the game of Smoke and Mirrors. This wasn’t the first car we bought from them- So much for loyalty and shopping local.

Tim Marburger Honda did a fantastic job fixing my car on the same day! My dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree - at least 4 different problems were blinking at me. The service techs re-programmed some sensors and that solved the problem! I recommend them to everyone!
Horrible! Brought car in for simple oil change and inspection, first off waited 2 hours, and left with problems that didnt even exist before hand, they broke the seals under the hood and just slammed the hood on top of the broken seals... and the car is doused in oil, all on the paint and windshield... The smell of burnt oil is horrid now, idk what the hell all they messed up at this point... And to top off Richard in the service department laughed when questioning we questioned what the deal was and why seals where hanging loose and oil everywhere... He just laughed.. We will NEVER step foot back in there they are immature, rude, and do not care about customer satisfaction..
Service department just stand around talking and ignores that I walked in. Did not greet me. I was told to come back 3 times in the same day, in which I did the 1st two times. But, I do not plan on going back there ever again! They do not deserve my money! Worst dealership ever! Has never had this happen at Toyota EVER!

Dont waste your time working with this dealership. They are unprofessional and deceitful. They worked a deal with me on the phone over 2 days of calls and encouraged me to come to the dealership telling me we were going to be able to make a deal on an Odyssey. I even told them that I could not make the trip unless it was a solid deal. I had also mentioned that I had a bad experience with another Honda dealer and they assured me they were different, wrong! Meanwhile, they were working a deal with someone else on the same vehicle. They never gave me a heads up that the car would probably not be there when we arrived. I dragged my three small children an hour away from Charlotte, only to arrive as they were signing papers with another customer. I should have known when I arrived what their intent was, but they humored me by allowing me to see the vehicle and even allowed my husband to test drive it. Im pretty sure their goal was to get us there and try to sell us another vehicle on their lot. The whole experience was shady. I would recommend working with another dealership who might be concerned about how they treat people. Tim Marburger Honda is the epitome of the stereotypical shady car dealer. Do not do business with this company. They dont deserve your money.
We like the Honda brand - but my family and myself LOVE +++ TIM MARBURGER HONDA! Their staff is low pressure and very knowledgeable. The entire sales staff went the extra mile to make sure our sales process went smooth. We have sent 2 other friends and family since our purchase. Very satisfied.
All dealerships have pros and cons but this one has only cons...Went in to purchase a car, called them out on the price, was told i was right but that they had no choice but to charge me extra just to pay Tim Marburger himself... Wow talk about a place who doesnt care about its customers. So, people remember that no matter what you buy whether new or used Tim Marburger will get 700 plus from you just because he is entitled, even if the salesman doesnt make any money. These guys do a good job as salesman but dont make any money unless screwing you over, otherwise they live on what is known as a DRAW check..... Worst experience I’ve ever had with car buying. Bought a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I’ve had it for 2 months and there are numerous things wrong with it. The underneath is rusted and covered in oil, ignition switch is bad, starter went out and it over heats. Went back up there to see if they could make things right. They offered to buy it for half of what it was worth and wanted me to pay the rest! Never again will I be back and neither will my parents (who also just bought bad cars from them) Please look carefully at what you purchase people.
Got a better deal here than I could find anywhere else, and got a better car too. They worked with my existing car loan more than any other dealership would, and even gave me twice as much for my trade-in than I could get anywhere else.The sales staff arent pushy and theyre super knowledgable about any questions you might have.Would recommend going here for a new car whether you think youd want a Honda or not!

Dont get trapped. I got an email promotion for a $39.99 oil change and decided to get my car serviced here. They told me I needed rear breaks and a cabin air filter. I declined the breaks but told them to go ahead and replace the cabin air filter. My total ended up being $112.05. I totally feel like I got trapped into an unnecessarily expensive upcharge. Oh, and it took over an hour even though I had an appointment for 8am when they open.

0 stars would be better . Everytime I take my car here to get serviced there are issues. They didnt call us after oil change when we asked them to to let us know vehicle was ready(not the 1st time )they touched the tire pressure after we asked them not to, we asked them to check the wiper blades and they went ahead and replaced them without our consent.

I bought my car in 2017 from Matt Worley. I cant say enough about how low stress and seamless this process was even when I had to have my car brought in from another honda dealership because I wanted a specific color. Not to mention he is a veteran, and we respect any place of employment that hires vets. Since then I have had perfect customer service through the maintenance department. Even to the point of Eric Kimrey taking care of an issue for me that wasnt covered under my warranty, just to keep their good name. All of my future purchases witlll be through Tim Marburger Honda of Albemarle not to mention all of my recommendations for sales and service.

Bad experience. Felt like being forced into a timeshare. Asked for my keys (from them doing an assessment of my trade) . No one knew where they were or where my car was. Beware! The dealership also wanted to run our credit before we even test drove. Be cautious and dont accept being bullied.

Was treated like complete TRASH. My family has been loyal customers there since the vehicle I drive was purchased there NEW in 2000. Never been serviced anywhere else. Messed up my service, over charged me for something they did, and then was treated poorly by the checkout ladies. You will never get another dime of my money, and you better believe I will tell everyone about my experience with your SNOTTY service lady. And dont even get me started on the front desk ladies ACCUSING me of not paying for my service. If you feel like waiting there for 1.75 hours for an oil change be my guest, but dont be surprised if you have to go back once you get home cause theres a hose loose and your entire car is smoking....THIS PLACE IS A JOKE
If you are working with Clyde to resolve this, why has it taken 7 weeks thus far and nothing getting done; This is the craziest thing I have heard of any dealership pulling on anyone after charging such a high price for a vehicle.
