I purchased a refrigerator in Aug 2021. The two men moving it into my house manhandled it. They broke my +$150 outside entry light fixture and broke 4-5 parts in the fridge including one of the brackets that holds the two drawers. I have called at least once per week, my husband and I have gone into the store 2 or 3 times. The lady whos phone is on the ad 450-9317 says its her husbands phone and plays stupid (both in the store and on the phone). She answers that phone so its her number - that is WHEN she answers it, which is maybe 1 out of 5 times. Mailbox is full. I spent over $1000 in their store. At first the parts were on order now they wont even pick up the phone. People make mistakes, I get it, but business owners need to correct them - oh and not lie to customers about it. Save yourself the hassle and shop somewhere else.

Overall, from the friendly customer service to the easy transactions El Duke Appliances is by far the most cost efficient appliance store in all of Albuquerque. Not to mention I have had zero problems with their terms of service, warranty, and delivery services. Alongside all of that it is a local and family ran business which really enriches the experience of talking to the lovely owners. I would recommend this store to anyone who is looking for any daily appliance in the area. Would gladly come back again for this place has given me a wonderful experience.

Would give no stars if possible. The owners are rarely ever there. I bought a washer/dryer set and a refrigerator as well. I had to wait about a month for the refrigerator to be ready, only to find out they sold it!!! Tried getting a hold of owners for a full refund but they never answer!! Not from the albuquerque area so commute takes me about 45 minutes. Every week i would call to check if it was ready but no answer, went once a week as well and how convenient that they were never there or closed!! Very disappointed!!

Purchased a refrigerator, the ice maker didnt work. They would make arrangements to repair it and didnt call or show up. I have gone back and forth withthem for 3months, and they have not fixed it or replaced it. My warranty ran out, and I now have to file a complaint with the NM Attorney General.

Highly disappointed with this place. We came here for the first time in 2018 and purchased a washer/dryer from them, their costumer service was great so we decided to bring our business back to them and purchase a stove/fridge from them in February, the freezer had a part missing which we did not even care about, it was the owner’s idea to find the piece and have it ready for us to pick up that Saturday. I drive all the way from SF as planned only to show up and the owner not be there, their employee had no idea what I was talking about and did not have a part for me. I told him I had driven from SF and was not going to leave empty handed because the owner KNEW I was coming, he took the part from another freezer and gave it to me, the part did not fit our freezer so I called on Monday, no answer. I called several times on different days until I finally got ahold of them, she promised to have a part for me that weekend so I drove back only for her to tell me she didn’t have the part, what infuriated me the most was the fact that it was HER idea to give us this missing piece, we never even asked for it. We were done with them. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago, our stove was having some issues, I call them and from the get go they tell us we are no longer covered by the warranty, their website says “120 DAYS” as well as the electronic receipt they texted me the day of the purchase, they don’t care about that though, they care about the paper receipt they give you which says “60 days”, I argued that it made no sense for them to have different warranty periods advertised on their website, she ended the conversation by saying “if you purchased the stove in February, it’s still covered”, since I no longer trust these people, I recorded the whole thing. We drive up last Saturday and drop off the stove, we left our contact information along with a note that stated the owner herself told us we were still covered by warranty. We called for an update on Tuesday- no answer. We call Wednesday- no answer. We call Thursday- no answer. Finally on Friday they pick up only to tell us they haven’t touched our stove because we hadn’t called them to tell them to work on the stove and conveniently enough, the note we left went missing. We told them we didn’t care if they worked on it or not, we wanted our stove back, we tell them we were going to pick it up today and they tell us our stove board is completely damaged and would take a couple hundred dollars to replace, they offered to replace the whole thing because we told them we had the owner on tape telling us our appliance was still covered by the warranty, it was the least they could do after EVERYTHING they have put us through. This place is affordable but there is no such thing as costumer service or appreciation, our loyalty meant nothing to them and their words are empty promises. Never coming back and will never recommend this place to anyone. I don’t know what happened to make them drop their standards as low as they are now, it’s a shame because I would have continued to bring my business to them if they still cared, but they don’t.

SCAM ARTIST!!!Installed a washer and dryer. Washer failed. Set up a return immediately. They picked up both and still charged me. They went as far as to tell the credit card company that I still have the washer and dryer.

Terrible service doesnt even begin to describe this place! Apparently white people arent allowed to buy from this place as they will flat out ignore you and help every hispanic they possibly can without even acknowledging youre there. After all the customers in front of me was served, the salesman walks right past me to the people who just arrived......not even giving me a glance. I left......came back an hour later, and the same salesman starts pricing appliances $200 higher than he was pricing them for other people the first time I was there! Will never go back!

Bought a refrigerator from them about 2 months ago when ours died. Our landlord was out of town, but recommended this place. The fridge was delivered the next day. A little dirty, but I really appreciated the fast service. They wont install, but will put in place, and I understand why.

If you have any issues El Duke will get it taken care for you! The appliances come with a fantastic warranty that they back 100%. I highly recommend these people. They will get the job done.

None of the appliances purchased here worked for us. First washer would quit mid-cycle and just flash lights at you, the second washer (that we had to call three times and show up in person in order to get them to exchange for the non-functioning first washer) would not work on spin cycle when the washer had more than a few items in it, and dryer did not work on sensor dry. They were difficult to reach and reluctant to exchange the items that did not work. Ultimately returned items at our own expense. On the bright side, the delivery guys were nice and did a great job on set-up and install.

We bought a used machine from El Duke & it’s never worked properly. It only washes & rinses using hot water. We phoned on Aug. 20th and they said that if we want them to look at it, we must bring the washer to them. This they state is due to COVID-19.

If I could give them 0 stars we would! This company takes your money for appliances they know dont work and it takes an act of God to get in contact with someone to resolve the issue. We purchased a washer and dryer and have yet been able to use it because the washer is broken! The companys female employee/owner refused to respond to our phone calls or texts. Never have we purchased an item from a company that didnt work for at least for 1 day!!!! There is no doubt that this has happened before to other customers and NM customers need to follow up with the Attorney General to bring these types of companies to a close!!!!

IDI wish there was aba lower star. they sell stuff that dont work and they wont answer you. The washer and dryer wasnt deliver in time and the driver smelled like alcohol. My washer was never repaired and I wasnt ever able to get a hold of them.i trashed them. Its ashame that this people can stay in business. This is why people dont dont do local business because you get crooks like these. Hopefully people will read this and make a better decision.

Love this place! In the past few years, we have purchased a dryer, a refrigerator, and today, a stove from here. Theyve upped their warranty to 120 days. The prices just cant be beat. We have had no issues with the dryer or refrigerator. We will continue to buy from El Duke when we need our home appliances replaced!

After visiting every major appliance store in Albuquerque, I decided to give El Duke Appliances a chance. I walked in and found a wonderful variety of washers and dryers that though were used, were in impeccable shape. Once I found what I needed, I scheduled a delivery and they were installed without a hitch. I was also told that the machines are covered by a 120-day parts and labor warranty - now that is faith in buying used! I gladly recommend El Duke Appliance for your appliance needs. What can I say? I was pleasantly suprised.1 year later: My washer and dryer are still humming along nicely, still very satisfied with my purchase!

We had bought a washer/ dryer set from these guys. They offered a warranty. The washer started giving problems and we contacted them and took the washer in for repair. They had it for 3 weeks with no word from them. We contacted them, they said they were waiting on the part, we would have it in a week. A week went by, they told me parts were no longer available, they had to scrap mine and would give me another washer. Went over there, they wanted to give one that was all beat up and nasty looking. I said no. They told me they get them in all the time, take home a loner, they call me when they get one in. I guess they never got one in. To beat it all, afterwards, I contacted Maytag, the part is available. It cost about as much as I gave for the set. More in likely, they probably fixed it and resold it and left me hanging.

This place had the most variety out of all the appliance stores in the city. Their brand new stuff is dirt cheap in comparison to the prices at any major retailer. I love shopping with them and have been a regular for years. Their service can be slow sometimes, but they always get the job done.

These people are dishonest and sell appliances that do not work properly. My elderly mother purchased a refrigerator from El Duke Appliances 2 months ago and paid $60 extra to have it delivered as she has no vehicle or means to transport a refrigerator. The refrigerator is not in good working order, it leaks water all over her kitchen floor so much that she has piles of towels on the floor to soak up the water. She has called and called. They never answer the phone and never return voice mail messages. My mom finally filed a claim through the Better Business Bureau because they are dishonest and taking advantage of her. They responded that they would repair the refrigerator if she would bring it back. 1) IT IS A REFRIGERATOR!!! She has no way to transport a refrigerator which is why she paid extra to have it delivered in the first place. Its not a toaster that she can load by herself into her car. IT IS A REFRIGERATOR!!! 2) Why would she trust them to fix it now when it was supposedly in good working order when she purchased it?? This business should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of elderly people and scamming them out of their limited retirement income. We have responded, through the BBB, that the only acceptable resolution is a full refund of the purchase AND delivery price. If they do not refund her money, we will file a dispute through her credit card company. Purchase a washer and dryer last year, I just want to warn you guys not to buy from this people. First,they delivered the wrong washer and the lady told the delivery boy that the one they delivered is that one that we paid for. Yes,we paid for a better one and they deliver the crappy looking one. The delivery boy doesnt handle washer and dryer with care. He almost broke our door when he tried to put it in place. Leave an ugly mark on the door (of the washer) then after a month it stop working then we are not stupid to figure out what is wrong with the washer. That is why its not draining properly. So please, do not buy from this people! Youre welcome!

Just like all the complaints on the BBB website, I was rooked by these people. I bought a washing machine they claimed was a demo from the floor @ Lowes. Nice new looking Whirlpool Cabrio. I took delivery and immediately washed a load of clothes. The machine didnt change cycles. Instead, it just keeps restarting the first cycle, never getting to rinse, or spin. Hours and hours later, after making sure I wasnt going crazy, or just didnt know how to run the damn things, I called. They were not even a little bit surprised to hear from me. I stated my issues, they said they would replace it with another one, just like it. They lied. They brought me a lesser model that I would not have purchased. I told them I wanted my money back, or Id get my lawyer to call, and report them to the BBB, they didnt even care a little but. If youre going to take action, go ahead, is what he said. Buyer beware, they have no great deals, you can get the low end stuff at Best Buy for just about the same price.

My daughter and son in law bought 3 appliances from this place when they bought their home. They tried to deliver on the wrong day after I heard my son in law reschedule the appointment, we ok’d drop off at our house without the installation that was supposed to be included because they promised leave all necessary parts for the washer and dryer connection (they didn’t) then tried to charge to supply the missing line so we hooked it up for them. Two weeks later the refrigerator stopped working. They don’t answer the phone, or the daughter answers and promises the issues will be fixed and then the owner goes back on her promise. We have bought from other used appliance stores and never had issues like this. No integrity, doesn’t stand by the product and tries to bleed the customers to fix their own mistakes. Stay away, seriously look at the reviews the good ones are obviously just luck.

My landlord just purchased a used refrigerator from them yesterday. It started making a high pitched whining sound right after they delivered it that is beyond irritating, and also a rattling noise. The seal on the refrigerator door is a poor seal. I can slide a dollar bill up and down between the seal and the refrigerator and you can actually see that the seal doesnt meet the refrigerator properly. The door has popped open on its own and if I dont make sure I press the door closed, it doesnt close. I walked in there this morning and the refrigerator door was slightly opened. My landlord contacted them and they sent two guys out. They acted like they couldnt hear the loud high pitched sound and came and tightened the connections on the door. The door seal still doesnt meet and seal tightly when I close it. They tried to tell me the noise was just the refrigerator running and was normal. The refrigerator then made a screeching sound and then just stopped running. I went and turned the thermostat to the coldest setting and the refrigerator still wouldnt kick on. I actually left the refrigerator door open for almost half an hour and it still wouldnt kick on. Then there was another screeching sound and it came back on. When I told them this was too many problems for a refrigerator that was just bought, he, Bernabe, RUDELY told me, your landlord already paid for it, if he wants another one hell have to pay for another one. Then Bernabe, RUDELY said, sorry about that and walked right past me out the front door. Some warranty that is. So tomorrow my landlord has to come over here to meet them to hear the noise its making. I would NOT purchase from this place if I were you. To get such poor service on something that was just bought, is not only inexcusable, but shows they have no moral character.Update: Today, one day after delivery, one of the people from this place was supposed to meet here at my house with my landlord to see the problems with the refrigerator. The guy never showed up or called. My landlord finally called the company and finally got them to agree to switching out the refrigerator for another one. They said they would deliver it by 4 pm today. Well, its after 5pm and no call, no delivery. Ive called and left several messages and no reply from them. I took all of my food out of the refrigerator at 3:45 waiting for them. I finally had to put it all back in the refrigerator for the second time. These people are horrible to do this. This shows that they have absolutely no common decency whatsoever. Dont EVER do business with these people. Theyre only nice if you have no complaints, once you do, forget it. So now I wait AGAIN to see whats going to be done while I have this damn refrigerator whining away and not working properly.

This business will lie to you if you dont know much about appliancesI brought in my dryer that I purchased from this company because it wasnt heating. They called me a few days later and said they had fixed it and charged me $80 for the parts. It turns out that after checking my home wiring, the problem was the 220V outlet and that was the reason it didnt heat. I took pictures of all the parts on the dryer and made a mark on all of these and upon opening the back, I see all the parts are still dusty and they are the exact same parts. I was charged for basically nothing and that just comes to show this is a lying, stealing, dishonest company.

Hey hey! Im so happy with Blanca she was so nice so wonderful. I had bought a whirlpool washer and dryer like 5 years ago and kept the receipt just in case. The dryer to this day works like a champ but the washer stoped working on me so i called and Blanca answered the phone and said yes to take it in and they would look at it and fix it. So i took it in and showed her the receipt and she said ok we will give you a call and see what we can do, a month later i was worried that it didnt get fixed or i was going to get scammed like these other reviews say so. BUT that was not the case, Blanca then saw me and said why didnt u come sooner, let me go look at your washer she comes back and says ok we couldnt fix ur washer because it was the timer that was broken and wasnt fixable so ill GIVE YOU ANOTHER ONE! 😁 i was so happy that she still worked something out. I didnt give 5 stars cus the washer she gave me has less features then the one i took in. But now i have a fully functioning washer .GRACIAS BLANCA!😊😁😉

Worst scammers I have ever dealt with. First they messed up our delivery (after we had confirmed it with them 3 separate times) then when we called for the 4th time to confirm they told us that they were already on the way so we had to change the delivery address because we werent going to be getting the keys until the next day(when it was supposed to be getting delivered) and they wanted to charge us another delivery fee of $40 to take it literally 3 blocks up the road. They didnt install or leave us the parts to install our appliances (installation is included in the delivery price) so we had to buy our own hook up for our gas dryer($70) because the one we got has a very specialized gas line. When we finally got a hold of someone there (after calling 6 times getting people that could only speak Spanish)(also we only got through because my wifes father speaks Spanish) they told us that they wouldnt refund the delivery charge or come up to install the dryer unless we paid another $40 and they told us that use the same hook up for all of their gas dryers. And that they wouldnt doing anything because nothing was wrong with the dryer So if they had installed it they would have been using the wrong hook ups. And now the refrigerator we bought also isnt working the temp wont go below 60 even when we have it at max and the freezer is iceing over when the temp is at normal. Weve only had it for a week. Dont ever use them. they wont help you once they get your money.

They exchanged the stove for a cheaper one but refuses to give me a credit for difference in price and now won’t answer my calls.

I do not recommend this place at all, it is cheap, it is expensive, so it is better to buy new or in another place, the only reason is because we needed a quick fridge so we bought one here and it didnt work, they fixed it according to two times and nothing and they took a long time to get it. and give us back the money and keep in mind that there is only a two-month guarantee and apparently they have very bad reviews that their appliances do not work well.

Israel had assured us that they tested all the machines for optimal functionality, but apparently they missed our washing machine. He made heavy pounding that we could hear on the other side of the house, as well as a burning stench that filled the house. Also, countless slices of plastic on our clothes. We followed up a week later via phone calls (not returned) and text messages at your request with our repair address. They never did what was scheduled. Then we visited the business and Ramón assured us that he would repair the following Monday and took our numbers and names.
