To make sure the color matched, they had to select a yarn that couldnt be machine stitched and so they stitched it by hand. Our beautiful1950s vintage Persian rug was damaged on one end, had tassels on two ends that I had to re-braid often, and had never been cleaned. One World Rug Care repaired it, took the tassels off and cleaned it. It looks more beautiful than ever. They did a fantastic job and recommended a custom cut padding for it. The padding made a lot of difference in how it feels when you walk on it. The padding was a very reasonable price. When it came home it was better than we expected. Mike and his father are such experts and always willing to share history and knowledge about rugs and what to expect when you trust them with your rug. They are passionate and take pride in their business and it shows when they explaining the process. Their price was very reasonable for all the work they did. I met the owner, Michael, after moving here to Albuquerque when I went to the Lavender Festival. He talked to me about his rug care business and gave me his card. This year I had to get my beautiful oriental rug cleaned due to a pet who had become ill and soiled the rug. I called Michael and told him about my predicament and that I had met him at the Lavender Festival. He personally picked up my rug, cleaned it, restored it and packaged it so that I could store it long term until I could put it out again. If you have oriental rugs this is the man who you need to care for them. He is hands down the best carpet company I have ever used. You will not be disappointed.

I took three Kerman hand woven old rugs to One World for washing. One of my rugs had liquid stains, and another one was extremely dirty. As much as I hate to admit, it was placed at the garage to house entrance. The third one had normal accumulation of dirt. I picked up all three today and I was amazed at how clean and beautiful they looked. As a bonus, I have learned more about rugs during my two meetings with Mike Rose the owner, than my whole adult life. I have not met anyone so passionate and knowledgeable about hand woven rugs from all over the world. We recently had One World clean all of our middle eastern rugs which had not been cleaned for several years. The rugs see daily traffic from rescue dogs a d there is always the inevitable accident. Michael Rose came to our house and immediately recognized each rug and told us how the rug was made snd how each one would be cleaned specifically for that rug. Yes there are other places in town that clean rugs but there is no one even close to the time and attention that Michael gives each rug,The most significant difference between One World’s method snd the others is that they **do not ** use any mechanical cleaning of the rug. I asked him why he does this because it must be labor intensive. He said automated equipment is mediocre at best results. Unfortunately machines don’t have common sense and therefore they cannot mitigate color loss and/orProduce 100% satisfaction when it comes to cleaning soiled rugs. He pointed out on our rugs how different areas of the rug were soiled differently and said they manually clean those areas so that in the end the entire rugs comes out clean.I also want to say that Michael and his team are very professional and efficient in moving (snd putting back) the furniture to remove the rugs.One World gets my highest recommendation!

Very easy to arrange cleaning and affordable with different options. I like that there was no pressure in choosing the different options and or not choosing an extra service. They picked up rug and delivery both at our house in Santa Fe nm. It saved us over 65 years old from going out with the coronavirus .

We were trying to decide what to do with a lovely old Navajo rug when we found the web site for One World Rug Care. We werent sure we could sell it, and we didnt want to just donate it to a thrift shop, but when we contacted One World, they told us that if we donated the rug through them, they would clean it and sell it at the highest price to benefit a deserving local charity. We were pleased that they did what they said. They gave us a good valuation for the rug and cleaned it, and sold it to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Albuquerque. Then they sent us a certificate from the transaction to certify our tax-deductible donation. We were really pleased with the process and the great people there!

Michael is the most knowledgeable and thorough rug expert we have ever met. He cleaned and repaired a number of oriental rugs for us but first told us more about them than we had ever known. The rugs look like new although we have had them for over 40 years. He also advised us on how to attend to a moth problem with our Navajo rugs at no charge. He is the best. This is a remarkable establishment, operated by people who love hand woven rugs, know an astonishing amount of detail about them, sell them for reasonable prices, and in my case, expertly care for them. Michael and his father Sayeed have cleaned, fumigated and mended two of our old rugs. Thank you ONE WORLD RUG CARE for repairing my oriental rug. A rug cleaning company in Albuquerque lacking knowledge about how to clean a high quality, hand knotted, oriental rug almost completely ruined my rug. They did not know how to stabilized the dyes, causing the dyes in the rug to run. They also dried the rug on poles causing the rug to stretch out of alignment.ONE WORLD RUG CARE did an amazing job of removing the dyes that faded into other areas of the rug and blocked my rug as much as possible without damaging the fibers. The rug is not quite perfect, but I believe Michael did the best job possible restoring the rug given the condition it was in. Thank you Michael and ONE WORLD RUG CARE.

They gave me more information than I expected and a value MUCH higher than I expected.Heres a short version of what they told me after I sent photos and measurements:That is a India reproduction of a French Oubson design. Woven Kilim style. It is not the finest rug by any means however it still is a fabulous quality. Selling between $400-$900. Overall looks like great condition.Wool on a cotton foundation
