I wish my experience at Raby was a better one! After explaining my floor needs, the saleswoman was snobby. After she heard I had an estimate at Lowes she acted like her business is TOO good to deal with people like me and my cheap floors. Our floors, in this quality do not need underlayment. I thought they did, EXCUSE me!! I dont speak floor jargon! Be nice sales lady, I went to your store to learn, get another quote and maybe use a better product, you lost a sale and a customer acting so snotty. And yelling at me as I walked away is not ok. Be professional.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff, from showroom to installers. The installation job (Coretec vinyl) was done efficiently and as cleanly as such a project allows. Installation crew were great about moving furniture carefully and cleaning up after themselves. Very pleased with the project overall.
I recently used Raby Home Solutions on a home remodel as my sub-contractor to provide kitchen cabinets and countertops as well as carpet and laminate flooring. Our experience went well from start to finish. Bob at the Menaul and Pennsylvania store did a great job ordering the cabinets for the kitchen as well as scheduling the installation. We will use them again!Robert J Ruth, PresidentSunbelt Properties, Inc.
My family has used the Raby companies for years for all our flooring needs and we have never been disappointed. The quality of the work is amazing and the sales reps are very knowledgeable and helpful. Very highly recommended.
I wish that my experience with Floor Mart would have been different. I initially went into this location to price granite tile for my kitchen counter tops. To start things off, this is my first kitchen remodel and my first work with granite and pricing. My sales rep George was extremely pleasant and provided me a quote for the tile. He mentioned that it would be more affordable to go with the slab of granite which was only priced for $11.25 more per square foot which at that time he said included installation. George provided me a written quote on his card and I notified him when I was ready to install I would contact him. When I returned to the store about 1 month latter I requested George to assist, we set up an appointment for him to come out and measure the house. I was excited that I would be able to install my new counters in a short amount of time. When George’s final quote came via email I was taken back that the $35 dollar per square foot granite (which he said included install, came to find out that was not correct) had jumped to $56.79 per square foot! Not only that there was an additional $878.87 for labor. I reached out to George for clarification about the pricing and he informed me that “If it was on sale at the time of our initial conversation, and the that Blue Pearl is sold by the slab and has a substantially higher price” I clarified that nowhere on his initial quote or in our previous meeting had he said the granite slab price of $35 was a sale price. I never received a response to clarify. I waited for a week before reaching back out and asking George to please have his supervisor contact me for clarification. George emailed me back and Cc’d his manager (came to find out owner) Phil. Most owners or managers who become aware of the situation would reach out to the customer first. This was not the case. I had to email Phil directly to please contact me to clarify. Phil returned my call later in the day, his new explanation is that yes my granite was $35.00 per square foot (purchased from Arizona Tile, it may be more cost effective to go direct with them) but the remaining $11.25 was for labor and install. I tried several times to explain to Phil that was not the explanation or the initial conversation that I had with his sales representative George. However, Phil continued to interrupt me and not allow me (the customer) to explain what had been said. I asked several times to please let me finish, and each time I was interrupted. After several minutes of excuses and not being allowed to talk, I asked Phil if I could speak to the owner of Tile Mart. That is when his voice grew louder and shouted “ I AM THE OWNER, I HAVE BEEN FOR 60 (some) YEARS!” at this point I realized that I was dealing with a very unethical and customer unfriendly business. I mentioned to George that his pricing quotes and practices seemed a bit unethical and that the Google reviews about poor customer service were well founded ( I should have read here first), I mentioned that I would file a complaint with the NM BBB. At that time Phil decided to hang up on me (I gave him the benefit of the doubt that we were disconnected). After several minutes with no call back, I called Phil back and said “Hi Phil, we must have been disconnected” that is when he decided to release his verbal assault and attack on his potential customer saying “he didn’t have to listen to my concerns, I was ignorant, I was uneducated, I was the worst kind of customer trying to take advantage.” I didn’t get a word in but a lesson on how terrible this owner and his business are. I am saddened about this experience. I trusteed my sales rep and he is still outstanding at customer service. I just need to have the discrepancy clarified.
Leslie was very helpful and patient. She took all the time we needed and made sure we were satisfied with the service and carpet.
This is the best place to go when needing your floors done! I got my carpet installed fast and easy, plus James Penzes was a great representation on how all should be.
I went in on 4/27 and agreed with Leslie that someone would call me on Monday or Tuesday at the latest to schedule an appointment to come out to do my measurements / estimate (for $50). No one contacted me until I finally called on Thursday, 5/2 to find out when the guy would come out. They sent someone out on 5/3 and promised Id have an estimate on Monday or Tuesday of the next week. Here it is, Friday 5/17 and still not one peep from Leslie or anyone else at Raby, not even a follow up call to tell me that it was going to take more time. I called and got my $50 refunded and wouldnt recommend going to them unless youre willing to always be the one following up to make sure they do what they say theyre going to do.
I did my moms flooring with Rabys and got the best service 🧡 the sales people are very knowledgeable and professional.
I wish Id listened to other reviewers. We had a very unpleasant experience. They missed their promised delivery date of the tile we ordered, requiring us to go out and buy tile elsewhere at the last minute, and now I cant even get them on the phone to cancel my order and refund my money. Im told that only the associate who took our order is capable of refunding it, and every time I call he has just stepped out and never returns my calls.
BY NO MEANS do business with Floor Mart! I have never had such a dreadful experience with any company! One of the installers sent to my home by Floor Mart was a complete social moron, at best. I was yelled at, injured, and my property was damaged. The carpet in one room had to be torn out and re-installed. A call that day to find a supervisor did no good. I also spoke with a very disinterested woman in Customer Service. I sent a letter and many emails, which I dont think anyone read. I filed a report with the BBB. It took 5 months to get the owner of the company to call me back. He took no responsibility for his employee, none for the personal or property damage, and never apologized for anything. His only advice to me was that I should have thrown his installers out immediately.
This review is for Raby on Menaul - the Floor Mart references are confusing.BUYER BEWARE! I had a horrible experience with Raby Home Solutions. Ordered a small amount of tile for shower floor. Leslie told us it would be here in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks I called to ask about the tile. I was THEN informed that this was a special order and it was coming from overseas (China) and no one knew when it would be here! I said I wanted to cancel the order because we were told 2 wks it was holding up our bathroom remodel. I was told I could not cancel and, if I did, there would be a 15% restocking fee. They could never explain why there would be a restocking fee when there was nothing to restock! Almost a month later, the manufacturer, NOT RABY, found some tile in the USA.Never again!
Love my new kitchen cabinets, counter, and sink!Got these done about 2 weeks ago. I had spent 3 months trying 2 other places, both charged me design/measure fees and did not contact me for weeks.Went to the store on Menaul and Bob did a great job getting me scheduled, kitchen measured, and a design quickly with no fee. I was also given many different choices in cabinet lines so there were options for me at many different budgets. I choose the Starmark line in Hickory and was beautiful. Joseph installed these and did a wonderful job and worked around my schedule as had plumbing work being done also. Had to wait 2 weeks for the countertop but was also stunning.I definitely recommend this team. I did not get flooring done as was not needed at this time but the rest was done a reasonable price and in the timeframe that i needed.
We had FloorMart install about 2200sqft of tile and vinyl flooring. The tile is fine, but they did not properly level the floor prior to laying the vinyl laminate floating floor, so the downstairs sounds hollow and you can see the floor flexing. After numerous phone calls about the issues as well as the stair caps coming unglued, they finally sent someone over to evaluate the floors, and they immediately said it wasnt right and needed to come up and be re-leveled. They told us to clear the room and rip out the baseboards that we installed ourselves after the floor....well the show up and they arent going to do anything to fix it. So now we are left to reinstall, caulk, and paint baseboards and move all our furniture back and live with a floor that will feels super cheap and the tongue and grove joints will probably break in a few years from the stress of flexing anytime there is weight on it. Upstairs the floor is solid and doesnt sound hollow for the most part, but you can find a few mushy spots....I can live with that, but 70% of the floor downstairs sounds hollow and flexes under your feet. So much for their warranty.
I visited the store to look at vinyl planks, no one helped me. I called later after looking at what they had and had questions about a product. Was told they would have to look it up and would call me back. Never received a call. Horrible customer service.
Great product...good prices...
Staff have been helpful bit their store hours are super inconvenient, open late and close early.
Friendly and efficient!
