The walk-in humidor is extremely small I always feel like Im going to knock a box of cigars over. The selection is not the greatest and most of the cigars youre looking for are backordered. The price is higher than even Montes or Havana House. The walk-in humidor needs a little work because most of the cigars are dry. Not my favorite place to buy a cigar but if Im in the area and need one I guess I would stop here its okay

Stag and their employees have a passion for tobacco, and they go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. Most shops in town definitely have a niche for cigars and, as a pipe smoker, it is difficult to find a shop that is well-stocked, gives quality recommendations, and provides a diverse smoking selection in regards to pipe tobacco as well as Stag does. Their house blends are fantastic and provide every tobacco profile or style you’d ever need if you are a beginner or a seasoned pipe smoker. Stag has a variety of pipes at various price points to fit your budget and style. If you want cigars they have an outstanding selection as well. Their staff is very helpful and friendly. In 6 years, I have never had a bad experience. Stag will continue to be my go-to tobacconist for years to come.

Great staff, all very knowledgeable. Wonderful selection of quality cigars, pipes and pipe tobaccos. There are lots of other items as well including traditional games and serious shaving supplies. Tobacco related accesories are abundant. Its a very comfortable place easily accessed off Juan Tabo or Montgomery and has plenty of parking. There are other noteworthy shopping opportunities in the same center. Friday evenings frequently host a dedicated group of pipe and cigar smokers openly discussing current affairs, sports or other topics of interest. A friendly place to go. The shop is neat and clean with a state of the art ventilation system...for the hobbyist, they have a substantial assortment of empty cigar boxes at very reasonable prices An interesting place of long standing in Albuquerque. You should check it out.

Been coming to Stag for over 20 years since I went to Eldorado high school in the 90s. Its hands down the best shop in town!

Super friendly service

Compared to Havana House and Montes this has become my go-to place for pipes and cigars. Montes seems to be crumbling and their cigar stock is becoming pathetic, and at the Havana House the employees always seem grumpy and/or clueless and their selection is uninteresting stuff you can probably find at Total Wine. The humidor might be small at Stag but they make the most of it and constantly rotate different boutique cigars. Their pipe tobacco selection is great too. Youll find everything from Sam Gawith to Esoterica there and they have a bunch of house blends. For pipe tobacco Havana House only has a few sad pouches of Amphora and Montes has mostly dime-a-dozen C&D blends with some Sutliff bulk. If you can make the trek all the way to the corner of the city Stag is probably the best tobacco shop in town. Also their lounge is free to use with a purchase (unlike Montes).

Stag Tobacconist is a fantastic smoke shop. They have a terrific selection of pipes, pipe accessories, tinned tobaccos and home blend tobaccos. Their cigar humidor has a great selection of cigars as well. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. One employee in particular, Chuck, is extremely knowledgeable and is happy to spend as much time with you as needed to suit your smoking needs. Great place to just sit and enjoy your favorite pipe or cigar in a very comfortable environment.

Went to purchase a Tabasco that is difficult to find. My usual vendor stopped stocking my brand. Was literally almost double what I had paid in the past. When I told the lady that I had only $10 (was paying $8.50) she said I have nothing for that small amount of money. If you want to spend more than you should I recommend this place. If you dont, dont waste your time or hard earned money.

Know next to nothing about cigars, but went in looking for a Christmas gift. Lady working was super helpful and she quickly led me to exactly what I was looking for.They also had a lounge type area with a group of people hanging out and smoking for anyone with a more personal interest in cigars than I have.Thank you for your help today!

To be a smaller shop compared to its leading competitors like Monte & havana, they have a resourceful amount of cigars. Flying pigs, ligas, LFD, Rocky, Herrera, KFC & even sampler. I stop there once every 2 weeks to re up on sticks. The fellow cigar smokes are very pleasant and even staff is insightful, knowledgeable and curtious. A little on the pricey side but thats the state tax mainly. Definitely give them a look. You wont be disappointed. Oh, theyre pipe collection, tobbaco variety, accessories arent too shabby either.

Great shop with wonderful and knowledgeable staff. After I walked through the door a gentleman immediately engaged me and started conversation, chatted about tobacco and pipes for a while. Great atmosphere with a good selection of pipe tobacco and pipes.

When I first walked in I was overwhelmed but in a good way... They have every thing you would expect to find in a gentlemens belongings from the 30s to the 70s as far as grooming needs. They have nice selection of tobaccos most that are unique and you can only find here at Stags. I personally like the Private Reserve mix. The Private Reserve is my go to tobacco I Use when I smoke out of my Tobacco Pipes. Stags has a humidor room with a HUGE selection of Cigars and they also have a little section with a couch and a chair where you can sit and watch TV and Smoke a product that was purchased there at Stags. Ive been frequenting this place almost 3 years now. Its a comfortable place full of friendly people. They also have special events like pipe nights on Friday.

I have just started out trying pipes and fine tobacco, as with anything when starting out it can be overwhelming but the staff here at stags took the time to explain and teach the basics. What to look for in pipes, which tobaccos might best suite me, and made sure I got the best pipe for the amount of money I was looking to spend. I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever and plan on being a customer of theirs as long as they keep opening their doors.

I have been going to Stag since 2001. Great selection of cigars and friendly staff and the owner is great. She is always open to suggestions for new products and the atmosphere is great. The parking can be a bit of a crunch ever since the Walgreens came in and forced the move, but dont let that stop you. The store is better than ever. Also has the largest selection of Snus I have found in Albuquerque. Plus the cozy smoking lounge is nice to sit back and relax with a cigar from their great selection or to enjoy some of their great pipe blends.

I called to ask a simple question, the man who answered the phone mumbled stagtobacconist, to which I responded Hi! How are you? After a brief pause, this man who failed to introduce himself or offer any assistance whatsoever said, with bitterness, good. Still offering no assistance, I asked I was wondering if you guys carried pipe cleaners? He didnt hear me so I repeated myself. He said yes, so I asked how much they were and how many were in a pack? He seemed very annoyed when he responded, but he told me they are two sixty five for forty. $2.65? I have to assume he meant that. I asked him about the quality of the pipe cleaners, he once again responded in an unfriendly manner. When I said thats all I needed to know, thank you, he said alright hung up.If you are this rude over the phone in less then one minutes worth of communication, I would hate to be in the same room as you, sir.I was calling for someone else, I used to purchase tobacco from your business. Consider me a disconcerted customer
