This place has great service and menudo. The eggs there are really chewy. The topas were also very chewy and not fresh at all. The food there (other than the menudo) was poorly made. The reason it gets a 3/5 was due to the menudo and food service.

Took my wife here for her first time. She lost her mind and she is from Mexico! These guys have been doing it forever. I love how authentic everything tastes. There is no way you can go wrong trust me! For all yo I alcoholics, do yourself a favor and get the big bowl of menudo. I want one of those restaurants in my back yard! I am in love with the food. I would give this place zero stars if I could. How do mess up beans? Every single thing we got was trash. 🗑️. Im embarrassed for them. What a waste of money. Undercooked potatoes, flavorless everything. Asked for no cheese. Got cheese. Asked for Christmas Chile. Go no Chile. Some of the worst food in Albuquerque.

Boyfriend like this place and me too!Stopped by after grocery shopping to get us full. The place is small but neat. Service was warm and decent. Price is reasonable for the good quality of food. I’m enjoyed my cup of menudo. I also miss the pulled pork.Will come again and will bring friends in!

Normally I dont leave reviews but I had to on this one.Now first of all Im not sure how to define this food it absolutely wasnt Mexican but it wasnt tex-mex either. Original Mexican food doesnt put lettuce on tacos. Im not sure what Mexican food in New Mexico is like but this place to me was way overpriced and the food was not worth it.I thought being closer to Mexico it would be better but being from Chicago the Mexican food up there is so superior New Mexico is such a beautiful place but Mexican food there is a big no. And no dont lie to people this is no authentic Mexican food

I ordered a beef burrito, and it was very flavorful, large, and filling. A hole in the wall place ran by a Mexican family, prices were a tad on the pricier side from what’d you expect to find at such a small side of the road sort of place, but the portions were decent.

We love this place especially for the burros. Juarez con chorizo and chili relleno burrito are my favorites. Always friendly and quick to get you your food.

The food is yummy BUT the place os filthy and has flies everywhere. The kitchen does not look sanitized. The back area where more tables are is more like a storage than a resturant. CLEAN AND SANITIZE YOUR RESTAURANT.

Hidden gem. Best huevos rancheros Ive ever had. They make their own tortillas and theyre fantastic. Green chile was outstanding. The owner waited on me and was super friendly and my food came out in less than 5 minutes. A must visit for breakfast if youre anywhere close to this part of town.

From reading other reviews I think I just had a bad order. My stuffed sopapilla was such little food I had to go and order from another restaurant just to feel full. $8 for the sopapilla too :(

Just wanted to move my legs a bit and walk to an eatery near the airport and stumbled upon a wonderful surprise. The green chili salsa was a scintillating intro to ABQ cuisine and was packed full of impressive but not overbearing heat. The enchilada special provided a nice balance with its fierce red sauce that just made me happy to be present in this part of the world. Enrique was very friendly and offered some great local recommendations. We had a nice chat about bikes. Great little spot, if you land and want something really tasty right near the Sunport this is your place! Gracias El Sabor!

The most satisfying food in the entire world

Good inexpensive restaurant. However, during lunch time around 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. they get really busy and if youre eating at the restaurant it takes forever to get your food. They take care of orders that have been called in first which causes a delay on getting your food in a reasonable amount of time.

Authentic Mexican food taste and friendly atmosphere

Breakfast burritos are the best here. Carme adobada is on point.

My Gramas favorite restaurant, weve been eating here for years. Absolutely love it! Only thing is they changed the fries. Why mess with a good thing? Just not as good as the original fries.

Ive been a Patron of Sabor for over 30 years. From going when I was a child to now taking my children! All I can say to sum it all up is theyre killing it!!! This is my favorite place to take the family, friends or just myself. The staff always remembers you and that makes all the difference. This is one of Burques hidden Gems.

Love this place. Excellent family owned and operated restaurant. Descent prices. And authentic New Mexican food. Fresh cooked. Staff is incredibly nice. Small restaurant. Not a whole lot of room. But still cozy and and welcoming. Highly recommended if you and your have never been.

My family ordered a #5 dinner plate, two #15 dinner plates, a beef burrito, chips and salsa, and sides of beans and rice. The stuffed sopapilla, #5 is supposed to come with a tortilla. They forgot it. Their fajita plate, #15, DOES NOT come with a tortilla, so you have to order it separatly- This is the only restaurant Ive ever heard of that doesnt include tortillas with a fajita plate. The steak strips were dry, overcooked and flavorless. The portion of onions and bell peppers was too small compared to the portion of steak.The salsa for the chips and salsa is green, but not remotely hot. Also, the quantity of salsa given isnt nearly enough for the amount of chips. The green chili on the #5 was also not hot at all, and largely devoid of flavor.The Spanish rice was dry, and the guacamole was runny, and obviously store bought- processed and bland. The only redeeming quality of the entire meal was the refried beans- they were descent.I will not be returning, and honestly, I have no idea why this place has such a high Google review average. I cant speak for the other menu items, but if what we ordered is what you want, your money is best spent elsewhere.

The most amazing menudo Ive had in the city. My dad introduced me to this place and now I wont go anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and get the horchata. The owner and his wife are the sweetest and they remember us. Dont be fooled by the outside, this is a hidden gem.

Good daily specials at a fair price. Tea was fresh. Tacos are the best in town! I prefer the cost of chips and salsa be included in my meal, but they charge separately for it. New favorite Mexican though, and I have eaten all over town.

Amazing and kind staff dutifully taking morning orders, and I can tell the staff takes pride in their menu. Breakfast burrito topped with salsa will be memorable, especially how well the fried potatoes and bacon and egg came together. This burrito was recommended by chef and exceeded expectation. Coffee so warmly refilled by lady at counter. Thanks guys!

I wish I could give this place 6 stars. We tried this on a whim passing through Albuquerque. I didnt want to eat at a chain restaurant and we came across this on Google maps. Man, what luck. Extremely good authentic Mexican food. And the owner was such a nice gentleman. If we ever pass through Albuquerque again, well be sure to make it a point to stop here.

Ordered a asada taco plate! Your not going to believe this, the meat serving is so small, it’s TEENY! (mixed with some peppers(bell&Pico) On top of that is this large serving of lettuce! So about 75% lettuce 5% peppers, 10% ASADA! I’m not sure why they’ve came down so far from being nominated by the city!! Back 20 some yrs ago. Well beware. There beans where Bueno(earned 2 star)!!

Nothing better than a hole in the wall mexican food joint. The food tastes super authentic and the pricing is very reasonable. It usually isnt spicy though, so if you want that youll have to add some more salsa. But Ive never had a bad experience here, highly recommend. Ive tried to breakfast burrito, tacos, stuffed sopaipilla, and flautas. All delicious.

If you enjoy breakfast burritos, you havent tried anything yet. These are fantastic! Super friendly and helpful. Great value for what you get. Have other items and are open for other meals, but I can never bring myself to get anything else besides a breakfast burrito

10/20/2019. I couldnt have had a better experience at breakfast this morning. We had a variety of food from menudo, breakfast burrito and bacon eggs breakfast plate. Staff is very friendly and our order was on our table within 10 minutes after ordering. This place serves truly authentic Mexican food . Definitely recommend this place.

I love the food but I am tired of ordering what I want To Go and always getting the wrong thing. Once, OK, twice hmmm, 3-4 times? Done.

El Sabor is another one of my favorite ABQ stops. I always go with the stuffed sopapillas plate. It is absolutely delicious!All the staff that works at El Sabor is wonderful as well.

Food was delicious! But I didnt get what I ordered, when I pointed this out, they were nice enough to fix it, but then I was still charged for the mistake. It ended up being $20-$25 for my 2 tostadas, (I initially ordered 1) chips and salsa, a drink, and my boyfriends daily special and his water. Cost is on the higher end for the small amount of food.
